Giada De Laurentiis’s Favorite Restaurants In Los Angeles - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"I love how the owner curates all the products," Giada says of Canyon Grocer, a tiny gourmet grocery store on the edge of Santa Monica. Despite its small footprint, the Italian staples (sauces, pastas, and more) and cured meats and cheeses make this neighborhoody market worth keeping in mind." - brennan carley

Canyon Grocer - Review - Santa Monica - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Canyon is a tiny gourmet grocery store on the edge of Santa Monica near that one pedestrian tunnel underneath PCH. And when we say this place is tiny, we mean it makes corner convenience stores look like Sam’s Clubs. There are a few shelves with imported sauces and pasta, and two refrigerators with cured meats and cheeses—that’s it. But despite the small footprint, there’s a fairly wide range of fancy pantry staples. Whether you live in the area and ran out of olive oil, or you’re heading to the beach and forgot a snack, keep this shop in mind." - Brant Cox

Canyon Grocer is one of those rare neighborhood gems that feels both local and world-class. The cheese and charcuterie selection is incredible, the sandwiches are top-tier, and you can tell everything on the shelves has been chosen with real care.Kurt’s warmth, deep knowledge, and genuine hospitality give the place its soul — you feel it the moment you walk in. The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and make you feel like you’re discovering something special every time you visit. Perfect spot to grab picnic essentials or just treat yourself to great food done right.

I ordered a charcuterie board for the holidays, and it was divine! Not only was it beautifully put together, but the cheese, charcuterie and fruit selection was perfectly paired and delicious. I can’t wait to order one for the next party!

The Best in LA!!!! This is the best curated grocery store on the planet and the owner is the sweetest. Everything in there is 5 star. Obsessed with the sandwiches and the pizza and I hate even sharing this but you will not find a better baguette in LA!

This perfect little shop recently opened in Canyon Square. They have great sandwiches to go at lunch and you can find fresh produce, lots of fine cheeses and snacks, and a bunch of other stuff. Great addition to the neighborhood!

Canyon Grocer’s Italian sandwich is BETTER than Bay Cities’ famous Godmother sandwich! I still love the Godmother too, but when I crave an Italian sub I’ll be heading to Canyon Grocer from now on. Canyon’s sub is a little smaller, but every single bite is a revelation!

Kurt is extremely knowledgeable and has incredible cheese, olive oils, meats and bread among other gourmet items. Great pit stop before hitting the beach for a picnic or charcuterie board for your party.

Charming Market, delicious range of cheeses and charcuterie and everything else one could need. Bread, butter, milk and eggs and much much more. Very curated store, tiny and delightful.

This is my favorite grocery store of speciality items. The owner Kurt is always there to share what came in that day and What it should be paired with… LA really doesn’t haven’t a store like this ..
