First observation; staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our waiter was super cordial & made great suggestions for our first visit here. We initially ordered a stuffed quahog, cup of chicken & rice soup & the meat eater pizza. I saw they had New England clam chowder. You could tell it was a good chowdah' because the spoon stood up on its own because it was thick,loaded with clams & potato. The meat eater pizza, was stuffed with their spicy house meat sauce, linguica, sausage & pepperoni. Unlike the pies at the supermarkets this is much thicker & heartier. Really recommend stopping in for a great meal.

I finally broke down and bought one of their frozen pizzas a few months back and we've been addicted ever since. I had a job in Brighton and decided I would take the 35 minute ride south to Brockton to visit this spot. I went in and it was lunchtime, and the bar was full, a few people sitting at tables. I sat down at a high top, friendly staff, and I ordered the meat lovers pizza, I'm sure it's not called that but something similar. I also ordered a cheese pizza and vegan pizza to go. When the pizza came, I could only get through two or three slices, it was packed. Very, very good and worth the trip out there. I can't wait to take some of my friends here.

Classic bar pizza - my family has been enjoying Cape Cod Cafe pizza since 1965. It was a real treat [growing up with 7 kids in the family] when we had pizza night. As time passed, family celebrations and "welcome home" events included many, many pizzas from The Cod! Recently, in town for a wake, a few of us gathered afterward at The Cod. The taste brings back so many great memories. But, to be honest, I'm not a fan of the burnt edge; well done, yes, burnt, no. We just had a great family gathering that included more than a dozen of our favorites along with a few greek salads. The pizza sure added to our mini-reunion!

This place is phenomenal with hands down the best pizza in MA and this is coming from a NY resident. We loved the service and sitting at the bar, enjoying a draft beer with our sauce burnt crust pizzas, just such a great experience! Ask about the sauce burnt crusts - you won't regret it ! They also have to-go pizzas in their freezer if you are wanting more for later!

Good experience overall in an area landmark that's been around since 1939. The service was friendly, the food was good and I totally see why they've been around for over 84 years. Their menu is relatively straightforward with sandwiches, salads, pizzas, burgers and they also have a couple of daily specials that are on a board near the bar, which we didn't see til we made our way out after eating. Wish they had those printed with the menus. The large Greek salad ($14.50) is massive and could easily be enough for four people. They're famous for it and it's one for the better ones I've had even though the tomatoes were out of season. The Cheeseburger pizza ($15) was awesome and the combination of tomatoes, shredded, ground beef and American cheese works. It was my favorite pizza of the night. The buffalo chicken pizza ($17.25) was decent but the big chunks of chicken were heavy and gave the slices a lot of flop. A small detail in the grand scheme of things but the sauce was also not very spicy. The half cheese half pepperoni pizza ($12)was great and their pepperoni has a nice kick to it. It doesn't cup however because their pepperoni slices are massive. All in all a good experience all around. I'd definitely return to try out some of their other offerings which includes a few creative bar pizza options like the Chicken Caesar pizza.

Cheese burger pizza with pickles & bacon ( full strips of bacon) , Kevin Kiely, & sweet chili pulled pork pizza incredible. They have 7$ cheese pizzas on Tuesdays, we wanted the specialty. Great bartender cheap drinks & good food.

Fantastic service! I came in and ordered a pepper and onion pizza. It came out of the oven wrong. I wasn’t going to complain. However the server corrected the mistake. This is my first visit. I will definitely be back for sure!

I just received my order of Cape Cod Café frozen pizza through GoldBelly who ship anywhere in the USA. Here's what I wrote to them: Cape Cod Café, which is located in Brockton, Massachusetts, invented the original bar pizza and has been making them since the 1940s. My mother told me she used to go there with her friends after school and her dad would stop in for a beer after work. Over the decades whenever I was visiting from my residence in UK, Arizona, or Chicago, it was always the first place I'd go to to meet family. Several times I actually had my dad send these pizzas to me using ice bags which were melted by the time they got to my address but somehow the pizza survived. Other times my visits back east would have me hauling several pizzas in my carry-on luggage. During one visit over a decade ago, I spoke to the owners and suggested they should have their pizzas available to order and shipped to people in dry ice. I also suggested making them available in local grocery stores. They eventually did both and even opened up several other cafés in the area, which have become very popular. So it looks like I wasn't the only one asking. Anyway, if you ever get a chance, you should try one of these pizzas. You'll never go back to eating normal chain restaurant or frozen store-bought pizza again. I'll definitely be writing stellar reviews on your company. You certainly deserve it!

Been going here my whole life and this is the first time my pizzas were under cooked. Bottoms are basically white, peppers and onions raw. I have never gotten one without a blackened crust, never mind under done.

Large parking lot, on street parking and spacious restaurant! Of course we came for the bar pizza. The garlic pull apart bread was delicious! I loved that it was served as a whole bowl plus the marinara dipping sauce was a win with my crew. We love bread and sauce! The pizza: My favorite pepperoni are the little cups that curls up, crisp while cooking and get a little grease inside the cup. They did not have my favorite peperoni BUT I found it to be really flavorful which I liked a lot. It was not cooked laced or well done as requested. I found the sauce was lacking. Bottom line, people speak so highly of this place the in the South Shore Bar Pizza scene but I just couldn't get down with their pizza.

I came down to try out the pizza for myself. I have tried the freezer version and wasn't that impressed, but I had a day to myself so I figured why the heck not. I will say: it's WAY better fresh and in person than from the freezer. I went in to order a pepperoni intending to only eat half and bring the rest home. But instead I sat at the bar, read my book, and ate the whole damn thing. It was so good, but I was definitely parched the rest of the day because of how salty the pizza was. Overall: great cheese blend, nicely spiced pepperoni, and easy to just eat a whole pie.

Worst place. Only went 2 times. Pizza was ok on the first visit. Second visit the staff was so rude when I made inquiries about the food. My husband and I walked out. Hardly any seating and the temperature matched the treatment we were given-COLD.

The food is excellent. I had the Shrek burger. It was cooked perfectly and the horse radish on it gave it a nice kick. Fresh jalapeño peppers on it is a great addition. I'd like to try pickled jalapeños on it! We also had a pizza with linguica. Incredible taste. I'll do that again definitely!!! The waitstaff are very pleasant and quick with items if you need them. Great place for a first date or if you want to bring the family. The booths are not piled on each other. Excellent atmosphere in there. There are tv s on the walls tuned to different channels. This is the neighborhood pizza joint of my childhood (except I grew up near Chicago). But the reality is, there's a decent side bar to watch sports, booths for families to slide into and that classic pizza that's no frills and damn tasty. Service is quick and friendly, and aside from the pizza and pull apart bread, I'm a big fan of the bathroom chalkboard. It's the little homegrown details like this that makes it feel like home.

the Cod has gone downhill drastically! The booth we sat in was all torn, the bathroom water kept running after I washed my hands and most of all, the price of the food has become outrageous! I got 2 Chicken, Broccoli and Bacon salads. They come out on a plate instead of the salad bowl they used to be served in, as the size has been reduced. Also, I've always had them chang the chicken to the "grilled" chicken as the cubed chicken is dry and rubbery. The grilled chicken is moist and delicious... now they're changing $5 each to change out the chicken. It's still chicken! why charge extra for it?!!!? And, I was not told there would be an up charge until I got the check! Not going back! The bill for 2 salads and 2 drinks was $58 and change!!! I know the cost of eating out has gone crazy but this was just ridiculous.

I've been going to the Cod for 60 years. I've seen the pricing go for normal to a little high to what's going on to never again!! However my daughter got a gift certificate so we had to use it. We got 2 honey mustard chicken salads. Go to the website and look at the picture, you're not getting that! What you're going to get is a handful of over cooked crispy chicken, not honey mustard. 1 slice of cucumber, 1 piece of red onion, 2 pieces of tomato and a shoot load of lettuce. $35.00 for about 10 dollars worth of food and I'm being generous. Every one in Brockton knows what joke this place has become. How much money do the Jewmoulis's need?

I called order a scampi pizza ask for seared edges the pizza was so soupy. The crust was soggy. There was no garlic on this pizza. No Scam be a pizza I've ever eaten. I've been eating there for a very long time. I used to go to Brockton. I've given them 40 years of business anyway Brockton is worth the drive so I brought the pizza back because it was terrible she said keep the pizza or do you want me to throw it away? I should've told her throw it away cause it wasn't worth a bite of it while I waited for them to cook me a new one they were supposed to seer at the edges the pizza was burnt and again, no garlic on the shrimp I didn't bother going in again. I wouldn't eat there again.

My partner and I got cheese, pepperoni, and everything pizzas - TASTE: 4/5 - everything was solid. The cheese pizza was really satisfying, though I expected more saltiness from the pepperoni, and the everything was absolutely loaded w toppings TEXTURE: 4/5 - the cheese pizza had the best, crisp crust out of the three. Enjoyed the combo of peppers, mushroom, onion, and ham in the everything pizza PRICE: 4/5 - the cheese and pepperoni pizzas were $11-13, and the everything was more expensive at ~$18 SERVING SIZE: 5/5 - classic portions for bar pizza SERVICE: 4/5 - we ordered our pies to-go by phone on a Monday afternoon and our pizza was ready/on time 25min later TAKEOUT: 4/5 - the everything was heavy and came in a pizza box; it stayed warm on the drive home. The other two pizzas came on paper plates, and in a paper bag PARKING: 4/5 - we got a free street spot right in front of CCC on Main St

I've been in the Brockton area for a little over 4 years now... I've seen this restaurant featured on phantom gourmet... My kiddo has been here for birthday parties and said the food was BOMB!!! This is FINALLY my first time visiting (smh)... I will tell you all the same thing I told my waitress, I WILL BE BACK lol!! Sooo, my pops has been here before too... And he is a BIG FAN of the MEAT LOVERS PIZZA (true Bostonian lol)! So I just HAD to try this pizza he's been raving about.... Guys, it did NOT disappoint! It was LOADED with meat (especially all types of pork)... I ordered it straight off menu (no requests, I took it the way the cook makes it)... rating 5/5 ** next time tho, I would like to order like a 'local' and try it thin-ish with crispy ends.. The cocktails were a little pricey, but maybe that's cause we sat at the table instead of the bar area.... The strawberry margarita was decent... 3/5 rating for drinks Customer service 5/5. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and had awesome recommendations! My friend ordered the thin crust pulled pork pizza with jalapeño sauce... 2.5/5 (however, who would even order that pizza besides him LOL!) All in all, I had a great time! Would definitely return and try something new (and order that meat lovers pizza again)! Definitely recommend!

Absolutely amazing place. Incredible atmosphere and all the staff is extremely friendly. The turkey club and burgers are very flavorful and had great presentation. Maybe some of the best pizza as well. We got one regular and one with extra dough so like a deep dish and we were very happy. It's kinda like a place you go where everyone knows your name,, one of those neighborhood places

Pizza is great and there's always the age old question, whose pizza is better Cape Cod cafe or Town Spa ? My vote goes to Town Spa but CCC is a close second. Their frozen pizza from supermarkets isn't that great . It tastes different than a fresh pizza , maybe the freezing /vacuum sealing process does something because very rarely do you find a "good" frozen pizza anyway

I'm being generous when I say 3/10 the pizza is extremely lackluster and it tastes like they put spaghetti sauce on it. would never recommend. thought maybe the cook had a bad day and opted to try the frozen ones also at home cooked the way the box said and then did one my own way on a stone and added extra mushrooms, still both were atrocious.... I'd get a red baron frozen pizza before even getting a fresh one from here. awful.

Great pizza so go. A bit of a wait but it's worth it very good pizza I love it. Busy so best to avoid weekends go during the week. Parking stinks no room. Need a bigger place really but pizza is delicious.

Cape Cod Cafe is an essential eatery to have for bar pizza in the Commonwealth. First off the ambiance is old school so your getting a family gathering place filled with locals ( THE REAL PEOPLE ) and not some yuppie or millennial gathering with people on there cell phones and taking selfies. You actually have people sharing conversation and time with each and having some pizza. The service was exceptional and our understood what our needs were and absolutely fulfilled them, she was awesome. These 10 inch personal pizzas are scrumptious for bite one to the last bit of that signature crispy crust. As for what pizza to dine on well needless to say you can either create your own or choose from one of the many signature pies that's been hand crafted for taste since 1939. With 84 years of experience you know your getting a superior pie, and it tastes like a million dollars. We purchased two different pies and a Greek salad. We shared the salad not the pizzas but a single salad is perfect sized appetizer cause the large is a MONSTER SIZED one ( It pays to snoop on other food ). I had the classic pepperoni & sausage which was absolutely sensational. The mark of a great pizza is what it tastes like 2 hours later and it was almost better when I ate the balance for a late night snack. The lady had a onion pizza and based on how it vanished plus the huge smile on her face I assumed she enjoyed it. Can't wait for another pizza soon! Thanks for the great grindzzz...

Classic bar, pizza, bar none! (No pun intended.) Great service, great food, great atmosphere; highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a true bar pizza experience.

I ordered pizza and buffalo chicken dip the other day from this place since it's usually pretty good, the only downside i'll have to admit is their delivery service , i wish they had their own service for delivery (had to order from uber eats). Overall the pizza was pretty good , the buffalo chicken dip on the other hand is comparable to soup, not a good soup either , it was pretty much leaking off the stale chips i also received , if you order from this place i'd recommend the pizza for sure but definitely a different appetizer if you're looking for one.

Been going to Cape Cod 62 years. Best pizza anywhere. I have never had a pizza that touched Cape Cod's. Their nacho supreme is amazing and one of the best Greek salads.

Cape Code Cafe is a bar pizza place. Yes, they have other food and plenty drinks to choose from but don't leave without having laced crust pizza! I always have mushroom pizza and I can promise you - it is a mushroom pizza not a pizza with mushrooms! Once you come and try, you won't stop coming... this place has been here for a long while and proudly serves one of the best bar pizza around! The waiting/bar staff make you soon feel as a local and then there is no way back. Don't forget to try their scratch tickets!! That's a super fun addi(c)tion...

This pizzeria has the BEST buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had. I've been coming here for years with my family for our "fast food Fridays" and it never disappoints. My entire family is always super satisfied with the results. It can be a bit pricey though.

I live in Fl but have Cape Cod Pizzas from Brockton MA shipped to me. They are better than anything we have in S Fla. They're shipped in dry ice, delicious. A taste of home. I highly recommend trying their Pizza no matter where you live, you won't be sorry. I order 6 at a time.

Friendly? We stopped in for a sandwich around 3pm. They - who was "working" had nothing but bad attitude and operated in slo motion. The Philly chicken sub was inedible and nothing more than a salt lick. Avoid this place and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. By the way the pizza coming out looked like corrugated cardboard with red sauce and cheese.

Haven't been here in years and the pizza still stands up. One of the better bar pizzas I've had. Service was decent. Their frozen pizzas are almost as good as coming here.

Was so excited to finally try Cape Cod Pizza in Brockton. Our waitress was super sweet. Salad was a little expensive but the creamy peppercorn and the creamy garlic dressings were amazing. Ordered 2 slightly crispy cheese pizza's, they both came out cold and undercooked. They tasted like Celeste Frozen Pizza. Awful. I asked them to make slightly crispy as originally requested. They came out like a hard piece of cardboard where you couldn't even cut with their knives. Extremely disappointed and we will not be back.

This is one of those classic old-school places that has not changed in the last 50+ years. In this case, it's a good thing and one of the things I love about this place. Their slogan is "home of the world's best bar pizza" which I (respectfully) disagree with. Their pizza doesn't even make my top 5 for favorite bar pies. There is an inconsistency with the crust - some slices flopped (big time!) while others did not. However, you can tell they use quality ingredients because the flavor is on point. I like how they have chopped linguica instead of sliced like other places and the huge pepperoni is top notch. The sauce and cheese combo is also always delicious. Now if only the crust was crispier/consistent, this pizza would be perfect! I will likely always add this pizza to my rotation for variety and for its flavor, however there are better bar pizzas in the area (in my opinion!).

I wish i could give the cafe a higher rating after dining there for several years with past high praise. I dont know if the lower quality is post pandemic staffing, which i have found in several other local restaurants... even in our eponymous North End. The pizza was below average i'm afraid. On line ordering was a disaster as they never noticed my order until i went to pick it up. Just call and i think you will have better luck.

The meat pizza way too much sausage. It was supposed to be a bar pie, it ended up being some Chicago/ bar pie concoction. Stick to the classics here you'll be fine. Service was great. Not mad at the nostalgic ambiance.

Great bar pizza- had the extra cheese, an amazing burger - we got the Quagmire (giggity- giggity) which was mushroom, Swiss and bacon with delicious, perfectly cooked albeit salty steak fries and a pitcher of Castle Island Keeper. The cheese was the star of the pizza. Love that this is an institution- and can see why they've been in business 83 years and counting!

This place gets it right every time. Never a disappointment here. Local authorities like this pizza spot from what I see inside.

My aunt has been calling in regard to our order all week and has yet to hear back from a manager. We ordered 3 pizzas and received someone else's order. My aunt had given the full name of her husband who would be picking up the order, so I'm unsure how the order mix up happened. One of the pizzas was vegetarian for myself as I have dietary restrictions. We called them that same night to inform them of the mix up, especially the fact that one of the items was supposed to be vegetarian. Their response was to transfer to voicemail and bring back the order. There's literally a pandemic, why would we drive all the way back to bring food that we that we touched? How many transfers to voicemail does it take to reach a manager. My aunt left numerous voicemails. Honestly at this point, it's just poor customer service.

The pizza and salad was amazing as always. The service was friendly, warm and inviting. A++

It's a staple in South Shore, let alone brockton. If you like bar pizza, look no further. Great sit down bar service, very nice bar. Can never go wrong with grabbing a pizza to go.

The only frozen pizza I will eat are Cape Cod Cafe frozen pizzas. Always something I look forward to when I travel back to visit family. During the COVID craziness I was getting tired of cooking at home (mostly figuring out what to make) and I had a hankering for Cape Cod Cafes. Perhaps it was the fact that I was cancelling trips left and right so any journey back to visit family was not looking likely or the fact that there is no other frozen pizza I have ever found that has a crust that stands up from oven to freezer quite like these. Recently ordered takeout, half pepperoni and half cheese pizza with the chicken bacon and broccoli salad; definitely regretted forgetting to ask for crispy crust but aside from that, it was a traditional bar pizza-recommend requesting the crispy crust unless you prefer it doughy. The salad was pretty good though had a mix of fresh and not so fresh ingredients like the shriveled peperoncini. Onions were super fresh and abundant but chicken was scarce like questioned if it was supposed to have chicken on it but flavor was great on the pieces I found. Overall not counting this place out and will definitely try getting a pizza well done in the future.

Took my son's basketball team for some pizza in between tournament games. They were all happy!

Ordered a Caesar Salad for $13 and got literally just lettuce and dressing. Called for a refund and was told I had to return the salad. Drove all the way back to be told it was already refunded. Why not call me back? Offered me another salad but I didn't want to wait another 20 mins plus I was already turned off by the service.
