Steel Magnolias was yet another AMAZING production at CFRT. So impactful and perfectly cast. What really made the show for me were the WIGS!! The live rollers, attention to detail for styling, OUISER’S WIG!! Josh did an incredible job styling for each character. I am beyond impressed.

Not enough stars here!! Need 10!! This was an amazing production put on by the whole team at CFRT!! It was great seeing Robert Newman return to Fayetteville! He, along with the wonderful cast did an amazing job! I feel each production just keeps getting better and better. Who needs New York when we have a much more intimate setting and just as great of a quality production.

What a wonderful experience! If you can, definitely go see this show. The actors did an awesome job. The music and dancing were extremely entertaining!!

Just saw this production tonight & it was truly an unexpectedly amazing experience. Honestly better than any Off-Broadway production I’ve ever seen. Even better than some actual Broadway shows. From staging, costumes, set, lights, sound, acting & singing? They didn’t miss a beat. The ushers & concession were friendly & welcoming. I might come back to see it again. Alexis Tidwell & Joshua Walker?? The entire cast was perfect.

Google
Absolutely top notch performances from all the actors and actresses! This was the first play I have attended and thoroughly exceeded my expectations from cast member performances to the stage and props. I will definitely be returning to see another production!

There is never a bad show at CFRT. We have loved everything we have seen. My girls and I thoroughly enjoyed "Steel Magnolias". The actresses were all fabulous. Ouiser was particularly wonderful. She really captured the character.

This is the second time I’ve attended a play in the last two months and I’ve been impressed with each play! We attended Once on this Island and the reason I booked tickets was because I met one of the cast at my job, and the way he explained it made me definitely want to attend and not miss out. 10/10.

Google
Our first time at CFRT and it was as great as advertised. The story, the cast, the songs and dance were outstanding. The set was amazingly done as well. My family and I enjoyed every minute of the show.

Yelp
I attended a production of Cinderella at this amazing little theater recently! I loved each and every aspect of it. I purchased tickets on the website and was able to pick them up at will call. You can also have them sent electronically to you as well. Its in the very popular and very cramped Haymount area of town, so parking makes you get a little creative. We parked at a nearby restaurant that we frequently get brunch at. The box office area was smooth, as was the concession area where I got some popcorn and a water. We were shown to our seats by a wonderful staff member, and I had scored some amazing spots on the third row. The sets and the costumes were impeccable, the acting marvelous, and the experience outstanding. There was a small intermission, and I used the restroom, which was very clean. The entire night was just amazing. We learned that there is a huge expansion project starting this summer (2024), and all those additions sound pretty dope as well! Cant wait to see another play here!

Yelp
We attended the Musical of Sister Act and can truly sum it up with the word AMAZING! These young people showed high levels of talent, a commitment to improving their craft, and having fun with each other. The parking is a bit challenging if it is your first time going to the theater. I recommend parking down the left side of the theater or in the parking lot directly at the end of the block on the right. I also recommend getting there about 45min early to get decent parking as well as concessions. The cast were teenagers and were truly entertaining. I will definitely start adding this local theater company to my list of places to go on my weekends and support these talented young people.

Yelp
Incredible acting & productions from kid musicals to serious drama. Well done & much cheaper than driving to DPAC who is not always better!!! Support local businesses!!!

Yelp
I have been attending Cape Fear Regional Theater for many years. Sadly, I haven't been able to attend ALL of their performances, but the ones I have attended have blown me away!! I continue to be amazed at how they can depict the settings and scenery on such a small stage...but they are great at it! The performers, stage crew, and everyone who supports and works on their productions are top notch! The first production I took my 4 year old granddaughter, who is now 24, was "The Music Man". We sat in the 3rd row, and she was "spell bound". After the production, she wanted to "see the 'fessor" (professor). I have taken her and her younger sister to several more productions like Annie, and Mama Mia...every one being a fantastic, production. I'm still amazed at what they do, and love going each time I can.

Yelp
Met up with a few friends today for the Lady Day play and wow! Wow! And wow again! Even with social distancing Cape Fear Regional Theater knows how to really craft a play. I was literally transported to 1959 to a small, smoky club in South Philadelphia to see Billie Holiday perform. The four actors provided an amazing performance with live music and acting. The woman playing Billie showcased the songstresses beauty, tragedy, and history. Which all came to life in an hour and 30 minutes on a crafted outdoor stage. There were about 40 of us in attendance on a beautiful day. It was great to spend mt second weekend in Fayetteville supporting the local arts and I cannot wait to return. They definitely need to do this more often with the beautiful weather we are having now. Also the process of ordering tickets and selecting seats online was so easy! Only suggestion I would have for next time is have the actors introduce themselves at the end and maybe have a short Q&A as this is such a powerful play it would be great to hear from the actor's about their experience. Please continue with the outdoor arts Cape Fear Regional theater! I will be back!

Yelp
The Play that went wrong had great talent on stage but the story line was corny at best. Wasted an evening with this one. We left during intermission.

Yelp
Attended Jelly's Last Jam and what a performance. The theater is nice, the hostesses were very nice and the show was awesome. What a play I must say, and the performers are so talented. Parking was not bad because there's a church is directly behind the theater that has public free parking. Would definitely recommend this place when shows are held here.

Yelp
I've seen a number of plays at CFRT over the last about 10 years and I never cease to be amazed by the quality of production by this regional theater. I've enjoyed everything from Raisin in the Sun to Suessical and everything in between. You can't go wrong checking out CFRT.

Yelp
Went to Cape Fear Regional last night to watch Avenue Q. What a fantastic production, great cast, and a wonderful band we saw last night. The performance was wonderful and they even threw in a Bruce Jenner joke. The whole cast was impressive, can't pick out just one or two. I love how Avenue Q has been around for so long and yet the story it tells is so relevant even today. I like to think this theatre is small, but mighty. Most of the seats are excellent. I've seen musicals in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, DPAC and Cape Fear was just as enjoyable. Who needs Broadway?! Well...we all do, but this place doesn't require a plane ticket.

Yelp
I saw Memphis last night! My wife saw Annie a few months or so ago. We are in awe of the amazing top talent! They deserve to perform to an audience 10 times the size! The choreography and costumes were detailed and flawless without being distracting. The band was wonderful and sounded so great! The set was simple and well thought out to add to the scenes and change easily. The venue was clean, very well maintained. The staff and volunteers were incredibly kind and helpful from ticket purchase through the entire show and afterwards. The musical had awesome music. It handled race issues in about 1960s with grace and without getting preachy or too graphic or heavy. I can not say enough about the cast! The acting, dancing, singing, timing, yea, everything was Broadway quality! Tickets for shows like this would go for substantially more elsewhere. This theater is a blessing to your community! Go see a show!

LaJuan M.

Yelp
This theatre is truly a blessing to this community. The talent and cast from one show to the next is absolutely TOP quality!!! The success of this theatre is attributed to the wonderful staff and the support of this community. Help this theatre to continue to tell great stories and be a part of the stories that are told!!!

Yelp
Once again, the Cape Fear Regional Theater takes the lead in returning all of us to normal with an incredibly funny rendition of the play Murder For Two in June 2021. While the theater auditorium is being renovated with new bigger seats and more knee room along with a sound system created for the CFRT acoustics by a Tony award winning sound engineer, the most recent play was held in a buidling that was transformed into a stage by the incredible technical and stage crews at CFRT. The Show Must Go On!

Yelp
Whether you are visiting our community for a few days or recently relocated to the Fayetteville area, Cape Fear Regional Theater is filled of great shows with amazing talent.

Yelp
I truly enjoy the intimate experience that this venue provides! Each show has been an entertaining performance. The stage is smaller than some other places that I have been, however this doesn't make the performances any less enjoyable.

Yelp
CFRT is the best! My favorite part of Fayetteville. Top notch shows and even better people!

Yelp
Staff is friendly! Entertainment is great! Seats are not very large so you might better be thin!

Yelp
Regarding the theater, my rating sits at 5 stars. The performers are all fantastic. BUT! I have had upwards of 5 terrible experiences with the CFRT Box Office in the last 6-12 months. I honestly have not experienced such terrible customer service on such a regular basis anywhere else. Even the Box Office Manager, Janis Long, is as rude as can be over the phone. Have a question? In her words, you should "read a little closer next time" or "look at the mailer" since the information on the website is inconsistent with the information mailed out to patrons. I'm an instructor, and I encourage my students to participate in community activities such as supporting the local arts. But honestly, if it weren't for the great job the performers do at CFRT, I would never patron their establishment. The service rendered at the Box Office is horrendous. I have literally no good words to offer about them.

Yelp
WOW! Not even sure what to say! I bought tixs for my GROWN daughter, her boyfriend and myself for Santa Land Dairies. I knew it was ADULT . . . but come on CFRT! You may have just lost us as supporters. Not only was the language extreme - but the racial remarks didnt help any either. If I have to read the script before I come - then why bother. I was embarrassed that I brought them along with me. I really wish I would have taken the $$ I spent and donated to my favorite charity - or just thrown it out the window driving thru a dept store parking lot. And if this guy was my 4th graders teacher . . . might have to rethink that as well. Disappointed! Embarrassed!
