Capela de Nossa Senhora Baluarte

Go and see this place. It’s pretty incredible. Built before the fort it’s still in credible original condition.

The chapel is majorly destroyed in recent storms and is inaccessible. However, you can look at it from a distance and still get a decent appreciation for what it once was. Visit for a few minutes while in the fort.

Beautiful. Should be visited while visiting ilha. Included in the fortress tour or also reachable during low tight from the beach along the cliffs. (:
