WOW! What an incredible addition to Asheville. Wow, I truly felt like I was in a different city. I am ashamed that it took me so long to get here.
This space is absolutely gorgeous and is definitely the biggest and most beautiful rooftop bar in Asheville. I was in shock as we arrived because I had no idea what I had been missing. Sitting outside on the open air rooftop made me feel as though I was in a much larger city, as I had never seen Asheville from this angle. Really great views, unlike any other downtown.
The interior space is chic and modern and feels very upscale, yet casual and comfortable. There were guests dressed to the nine and other in jeans and sweatshirts. The indoor area is quite large with many different seating options such as the bar, couches, tables, cozy chairs, etc. As you arrive, you seat yourself wherever.
We started outside and enjoyed the views for about 15 minutes before getting to cold and moving inside. There are two outdoor areas, one is quite small with only about 7 tables and looks to the West toward the BB&T building and the Flat Iron building. The other outdoor area is much, much larger with gas firepits, artsy decor and looks to the East toward Tunnel road and the mountains. It is breathtaking.
As for libations, my husband and I both ordered the Gintonic (I believe it was titled the Signature Gintonic?!) and it was soooo delicious. If I am paying $12 for a cocktail, I expect a well thought out drink with tasty ingredients and enough alcohol to get a buzz. All of those things were true in this gorgeous cocktail with cucumber, lemon and star of anise. We didn't try any food but will definitely be back to order some food sometime!
This is a must-go spot in Asheville now. Amazing!
