The food here is absolutely incredible!! My husband and I are hooked! Lyn is so down to earth and passionate about her craft, which makes the experience even better. Little pricey, but you get so much food that it’s enough for two people.. or two meals lol.

Had to try this place after seeing the DDD episode. Had the brisket banh mi and shrimp spring rolls. Both amazing and I love the peanut sauce with the spring rolls! Made with fresh, quality ingredients, Guy Fieri did not let me down. The owner is very kind and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere.

Google
The food was great. She makes the best egg rolls, coleslaw, and wow, the pork sandwich was amazing. Please, if you're in town looking for some good eats, try this place out. Oh, and the lemon pie is so amazing.

Google
I'm not sure I get the love for this place. Food is a solid 4. And a girl who waited at me did a good job helping me. But the owner, that everybody seems to love gave me what I interpreted as dirty/unfriendly looks both times she came out. Parking area is extremely small difficult. And prices are stout for stand-up counter ordering and the food you get. I was here probably 4 years ago and it'll probably be another 4 years before I'm back.

Google
It doesn’t look like much, but this place really packs a punch with flavor. The woman who works there is super nice. This is some really good barbecue. I judged the outside before I even sat down. I have to learn more to not do this. Buddy of mine ended up getting the baked beans. There was tons of meat and richness in them. I got the corn bread and it was some of the softest cornbread I’ve ever eaten in my life. This food is packed with flavor and is priced very well in my opinion. I would absolutely eat here all the time if I was from the area. 9/10 overall experience.

Google
The food itself was great. I had the "moo over" burger and it was very tasty. The side of fries were crisp, with salt and delicious. Real fries, cut just right with skin on one side. The price point is a bit high so I probably won't be back for a while and if you use a card, you are charged an extra 4% so bring a couple 20s instead. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed the blues music the cook's were listening to. The funny thing was when I came in it took 5 to 10 min for them to notice I came in as there was no door bell or electric sensor to indicate someone came in through the door.

Google
My favourite!!! I love their bahn mi and regularly order the tofu bahn mi with vegan mayo. I also love their spring rolls!! My partner loves the brisket bahn mi (I can't eat meat but it smells so good every time). We also support all of the cheesecake endeavors. My partner still raves about the blackberry cheesecake 💗 The owner and staff are also so sweet and friendly. I can't wait to stop by again (and again and again)

Yelp
I was bummed to move to a neighborhood that didn't seem to have a whole lot going on in the way of nearby snackos until I discovered that I actually live around the corner from Capital City BBQ-- a BBQ spot that also happens to have incredible banh mi sandwiches. The pho we had wasn't mindblowing but it was definitely good. The banh mi were next level. It is on a crusty, proper baguette. Real bread being extremely hard to find in this town (or in most American towns), I especially appreciated the dankness of this bread. Staff are great! They are not gonna win awards for ambiance but I do not FW people who do not want to go out for pho on date night, so, to each their own. Be mindful of planning as they do often sell out of barbecue!

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch while in the area. I've heard of it. It have never tried it. DO NOT pass this place by. I had my first Bahn Mí sandwich. I ordered the pork. The bread was a very nice crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside baguette. It was filled with fresh cut veggies and cilantro and a perfectly marinated and grilled pork. The pork was tender, juicy, and very flavorful. Probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I also ordered two fresh spring rolls, which consisted of fresh veggies, shrimp, and rice noodles wrapped in rice paper with a peanut sauce. Everything was obviously fresh made with great care. The service was very friendly and prompt. The owner came out to see how we were and we had a very nice conversation. The restaurant was very clean and you can see the kitchen was well kept up and very organized. Overall a very good lunch experience. If you're near the downtown, go out of your way to try it.

Yelp
Stopped here as it's a DDD. The place is like two restaurants in one. We got ribs and brisket with sides. Service was good. Food was good.

Yelp
Ah Capital City BBQ, a place I really have a love hate relationship with. This is actually the fourth time I've visited this restaurant, but only the 2nd time I've managed to eat there. This place is honestly quite bizarre - the first time I went, everything was great, with delicious food and friendly service. The second time, it was randomly closed when we arrived and on the third visit, they decided to close two hours early. We got there right when they started locking up and the owner shooed us away. Very annoying given that we drove 1.5 hours to eat here. They also never seem to pick up the phone, so good luck trying to figure out their real operating hours (as opposed to their posted operating hours). That being said, the food here is delicious and well worth the hype. Brisket Banh Mi ($11.99) - Delicious fusion banh mi. There's a generous slice of brisket resting on a bed of banh mi vegetables, including pickled carrot and daikon. The brisket is soft and tender, surprisingly moist for being of the lean variety, and exceptionally smoky. The tang of the veggies helps to cut through some of the meaty richness, which all balances with the giant pile of fresh cilantro, including stems, adorning the top. There's an addition of somewhat spicy mayo spread on the baguette to add some spice, which is enhanced by fresh sliced jalapenos. The jalapenos aren't too spicy but add a very nice tingly feel on the mouth. All ingredients sit on a toasted 7" French baguette (as opposed to a Vietnamese baguette). The baguette is crisp and warm on the exterior with a nice chewy interior. (5/5) My first visit solidified my love for Vietnamese-American fusion BBQ. My second and third visits annoyed me relentlessly. And finally this last visit made me love the restaurant all over again. So yes, I recommend this restaurant, with plenty of caveats. Don't bother going if you can't forgive them for being closed when they are supposed to be open. Note: They charge a 4% fee for credit card purchases. Bathrooms - One unisex room in the front office area.

Yelp
We REALLY enjoyed the Banh Mi at Capital City BBQ (I forgot to get a photo... because it was that good). Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Yelp
Overall, I think the thing I love most about this BBQ joint is that it's privately owned. We walked in on a Wednesday night and there was only one worker running the entire place. While I loved the idea of the Asian fusion with BBQ, sadly the food fell a little short. The pulled pork, fries and cole slaw were amazing. The noodles with tofu was good, I just wish they threw in more fish sauce for a more added flavor, otherwise it's terribly plain. The Brisket Banh Mi was delicious in theory, however, it really lacked all the components of what truly makes a good Banh Mi. For the most part, the banh mi simply tastes like French baguette, and brisket; barely any pickled daikons or carrots, lack of flavor overall. If you come here, I highly recommend just sticking to BBQ foods, don't need to try anything fancy!

Yelp
Wow, don't go in after 5:30 on a Saturday! For $35+ dollars I got ribs that were 2/3 fat, coleslaw that *had* to have been sitting in the fridge all week, and mushy egg rolls that tasted like vinegar; the corn bread was fine. So much for a Saturday night treat. Meanwhile, I was almost knocked over at the cost.

Yelp
Noodle Salad with Pork was perfect for a hot day meal. Saw this establishment on the food network and I happened to be in Lansing MI for work. So I decided to check it out before my flight. I was greeted by the owner who super nice and helpful when navigating the menu. If you find yourself in Lansing, MI its a must try!!

Yelp
My favorite lunch place as of late, The brisket banh mi is delicious and the staff is always very friendly. Definitely would recommend!

Yelp
Capital City Bbq is amazing. If you are in the capital and want a Stellar Bahn Mi, this is the place. Lovely staff, high quality food, cute dine in option. They don't play around, What a gem!

Yelp
I've had a few coworkers mention coming here for lunch, so I decided to give it a try. Right off the bat, the location (neighborhood) isn't that bad), but the corner it's on with their limited parking, is terrible. Trying to get into and out of a parking spot isn't fun with a larger vehicle. Inside is clean and seating for a decent lunch crowd. The printed menus and the menu on the tv screens have a good description of what came on each sandwich which was nice. Staff seemed ready to help out deciding and answering any questions. I ordered an "Awesome Mess" for $12.99. It comes with a side choice that I didn't want. No break on the price though. My sandwich was flavorful and everything seemed fresh. The BBQ sauce definitely has a good taste. So this is the time I explain my 3 star rating. Everyone starts out with 5 stars. My whole experience determines where it goes from there. I felt my lunch was a little over priced for just a sandwich. Not that it was bad. The other issue is location and the parking. 3 stars isn't bad in my book. The next time I'm looking for decent BBQ, want to pay twice as much for it, and risk my vehicle being sideswiped by a speeding car while trying to squeeze into a sardine can, I'll stop for another sandwich.

Yelp
Love this place. It's so so good. The service is amazing, very quick, helpful and friendly. And the food is flavorful, tender and delicious. I had the "steer clear" sandwich - brisket with melted Gouda. Wow. So good. My side was mac n cheese which I liked a lot too. It is a cold March day and I wanted to warm up. The woman helping us said she'd make me a special ginger lemon tea. It was so so perfect. It hit the spot. My husband loves his pulled pork. And he was even a bigger fan of the side of baked beans. Definitely coming back when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Pretty good beef pho. A bit pricey, but well flavored/seasoned soup. Thanks a lot will come back

Yelp
1st time eating here. My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch of Vietnamese Pho and Pork Noodle Salad. Both were very flavorful and delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I don't leave many reviews but the was excellent the food was here. Spring rolls, pulled pork, beef brisket, pulled chicken, is great anyway you order it.

Yelp
I sent a bunch of mail to this place AND THEY NEVER WROTE BACK. Maybe it's because I used CAPITAL LETTERS in my Capital Letters. When in Lansing, you simply must Capital-ize on these sublime sandwiches. And go over to Choupli too, for some of the best Mid-Eastern since... the last great Mid-Eastern you had. The Banh Mi here is excellent and it is worth the hype. Service from the cute girl was also absolutely wonderful and I think we had a little chemistry going on too. But no Physics. Don't blame me - it's just Biology. So maybe I loved her even more than I love the sandwich - but if we focus on the sandwich then I will say that the main strong point is the thick tasty meat and all the veggies they put in there, including a decent amount of spicy jalapeno which I appreciated. I hate how I always gain weight from eating these huge things. It really punishes my body. I guess you could call it Capital Punishment. The size of the thing is enormous and it's definitely one of the most filling and overstuffed Vietnamese sandwiches I've ever had. I guess you could say that this place has turned me into a fully-fledged Capitalist. Now it's not traditional, so don't expect it to be... not even slightly. But that, in some ways, makes it stronger. It's different. It's a new take. It's a "Brisket Banh Mi" essentially, with some pretty incredible tasting meat on there. I'm a massive fan. I've heard lots of iffy things about the other dishes, so I recommend sticking with this legendary sandwich so you can see why this place is a 5-star dream come true. This would be the most beloved sandwich in town, if a statistical survey was done, both in terms of gross affection, and also Per Capita... L. Lansing has several great places to eat, and Momo Bubble Tea is the best in the whole Great Lakes. But the top 2 food places are head and shoulders above the others, and Capital is firmly in my #2 spot, and a must-try when you are in town. The wait time is long, but so is your Uncle's penis. I would know. It's in a tiny little building... not much of a Capital Building.

Yelp
FYI: - they charge 4% for credit card processing fee - they charge 10% for dine-in - and if you give additional tip, that 14% is added to the total that you'll tip on. American BBQ, Vietnamese Food and buy/pay for cell phone service under one roof? Yup, you can do all that at Capital City BBQ. This was my third attempt visiting - first time I came was on Sunday, second time was holiday thinking they'd be open, but nope I was wrong. I was more interested in the Vietnamese food, but also had to try their BBQ offering as well, thankfully we had party of 6 and we were able to order multiple of foods to share. We ordered the following items: - Pork Bahn Mi - Brisket Bahn Mi - Pho - 'Moo Over with mac n cheese - Rib Tips (1 lb) - 6 summer rolls - 12 spring rolls What we liked: Summer Roll - You have to try really hard to go wrong with summer rolls. This was made with pork (even though I ordered the shrimp version) and peanut sauce definitely brought the flavor to the summer roll. Spring Rolls - I expected the thin versions (thus ordered 12), but here, they give you a larger size. The dipping sauce looks weird, but it was good and it had bit of spice to the sauce. Brisket - this is what we would recommend you get if you go. The brisket was excellent, the meat was tender and easy to eat. The pork was nice too, but the pork meat was little try. What we did not like: Pho - it was decent, we all had better Pho in Michigan. The broth lacked that deep flavor and the noodles were bit under cooked. Mac n Cheese - not worth getting. To be honest, Kraft out of the box tasted better. Rib Tips - it was okay. Overall - limited parking, limited seating area and on the dinner time, it will get crowded quickly. While we weren't fan of all their food offering, they had few items that we really loved. The only issue I really had was with their 10% dine-in fee, 4% credit card fee... I believe they post it on their menu, but they should really post it on their register so folks will see it when they order.

Yelp
Tried out this place since in Lansing to buy a car. Saw it was featured on Food Network's Diners, drive-ins and dives so had to try it. It didn't disappoint. Side salad was huge and nicely chilled. Baby back ribs fell of the bone so just needed a fork to eat them. My daughter who is picky loved it without any sauce and also loved the cornbread. My favorite sauce was dirty sauce. Brisket banh Mi was yummier than the Steer Clear sandwich. Loved how there was so much brisket it was hanging out of the bread. The owner is so sweet and very accommodating. She even let my kids take control of the remote control for their TV. My son said we need to come back again and I agree! This a must try if you are in the Lansing area

Yelp
O.M.G.!!! Was this good BBQ! And the portions were bigger than expected. No noticeable fat in the meat. Great sauces. It was all soooo good! And I can't get over the portions! The greens salads, beans, and cornbread were legit. The desserts were ginormous and rich. I didn't find a thing lacking. This is my go to for bbq now!

Yelp
I came here to originally get myself a nice bowl of pho, but they unfortunately ran out which for a Vietnamese place I was quite surprised about and threw me off. I then decided to go with a pork banh mi which I thought was good- but a bit Americanized in flavor. I wish there was a more pate, and some of the additional traditional meats in banh mis but the pork was super flavorful and the bread was delicious. A bit overpriced for the banh mi in my opinion, but nonetheless still a good meal.

Chris T.

Yelp
A wonderful place for takeout, although there is some seating if you want, but not much atmosphere. Love the pho and fresh spring rolls, but the bbq beef brisket is second to none. Expensive but sooo worth it.

Yelp
Always our go to place to get Bahn-Mih's. They pack the sandwiches with a lot of protein. They are a fusion of BBQ and Vietnamese. My favorite is their pork but we also have tried the Brisket. Both are amazing and very filling. Call in ahead and place your order so by the time you arrive, your order will be hot and ready to go.

Yelp
I am trying Capital City BBQ for the first time. I am visiting from Dallas Texas where BBQ is everywhere. Today I ordered the Steer Clear sandwich plate. The sandwich is beef brisket topped with gouda cheese and a bourbon sauce. It has a exquisite flavor. Definitely a gourmet sandwich. The potato salad was large chunks of potatoes and was perfectly seasoned. This restaurant is A+++. I don't know the last time I savored every bite. I am so glad Lansing has a fantastic BBQ restaurant. The added bonus is its also a vietnamese restaurant. Quite cool...
google avatar

Bob T.

Yelp
Haven't been in a while and I was reminded why I should be back. I ordered the pho, chicken rice plate and chicken noodle salad. Every bite was fresh and flavorful. The chicken was well marinated, perfectly grilled and never dry. The pho broth was well seasoned and savory. I am still dreaming about the fresh veggies and herbs in the salad-- I'm looking forward to summer. It was just the right taste to brighten the day. Looking forward to eating here more often.

Yelp
Came in today for some brisket and Cap City bbq did not disappoint. I was very impressed with the steer clear brisket sandwich. The red onion jam, smoked gouda, bourbon bbq sauce complimented the tasty, tender brisket on a toasted bun. So good. I recommend that brisket lovers take time to stop by and grab one of these. The brisket chili was also delicious. It had the right mix of meat, beans, chives and a little cheese. Really good. Also ordered a 1/4 lbs of smoked chicken for tomorrow's lunch. However, I snuck a nibble and thought the meat was tender with a nice amount of smoke. I will say there are many other items on the menu. So many options. I'll return to sample some more smokey goodness. Is Capital City BBQ in the top 3 of Lansing bbq? Maybe top 2? Very impressed today. Nice work !

Lindsey T.

Yelp
Such amazing vegetarian Bahn Mi! The most amazing flavor! So good! The wait may be long so order ahead, it's so worth it!
google avatar

Shirin D.

Yelp
The most amazing brisket I've ever had! Love the Banh mi and spring rolls! Cheesecakes are light and huge and so flavorful. Amazing food and the staff and owner are wonderful people and just top notch! One of my fav restaurants in Lansing!
google avatar

Catalin B.

Yelp
I really like this place. It's hiding in plane sight! The sandwiches, especially the Brisket Bah Minh is exceptional, as is the Pho. The fries are literally the best I've had in town. I enjoy frequenting this place and taking people here. One complaint is take out. I ordered the pho and the expectation seems to be that you get all raw ingredients, including the beef and somehow at work have an oven and large bowl to heat and assemble everything yourself. I recommend disclosing this upfront so customers do not order unless they can do all that OR assemble everything and put it in a 'to go' container. I understand they would get a little less pho with it is assembled but they also don't have to cook the 'take out' and don't risk getting sick from the undercooked beef.... just a thought.

Yelp
Dude, have you been here? I mean if you like Vietnamese food and good old fashioned BBQ, this might be the place for you. I want to try more of the menu here, I honestly do, but I am certainly stuck on the brisket. The brisket plate and or the brisket banh mi. Both great and I wish they never ended in servings like in Harry Potter. I have also tried this pho, which is good. Vietnamese coffee, I don't know if they still make it the same way, but I did enjoy that tiny pinch of condensed milk at the end. They also offer different dessert pastries, such as pie or cake, so you can get appetizers, a meal, and dessert. This restaurant is a bit on the small side there is minimal parking so be aware. I come around here for worked once or twice a year and I get it every single time. Maybe it isn't and a little corny, but I always use to pass this little restaurant and one day 4 years ago I was looking at Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives in Lansing and sure enough Capital City BBQ was on the list. And I am so glad I gave it a go... I'm kind of craving a plate now.

Steve H.

Yelp
3 of us had lunch here. The brisket Bahn Mi was worth the trip. The brisket is done right. We met the wonderful woman who owns it and she shared her collared greens. They are off the chart amazing. Stop in if you're in the area. You won't regret it.
google avatar

Yelp
The bahn-mi's are to die for! The best fusion of BBQ and Vietnamese food around.
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
I haven't had their bbq but the Vietnamese food is pretty good. The pho is pretty solid and my favorite thing to get is the pork pate banh mi, it's delicious.

Brian L.

Yelp
Capital city BBQ seams to be closed more than it is open. Wanted to place order 3 different times and they were closed. Hope she is ok.
google avatar

Douglas B.

Yelp
Picked up some "Smokin Hot Chicks " and "Sweet Chicks" (chicken sandwiches ) on our way to a football game and they were delicious. Staff was very accommodating, polite and helpful and our order was ready when promised, as we ordered takeout. Would definitely eat there again.
google avatar

Yelp
Food isn't bad, but I wish they were taking COVID more seriously. They deliver your order to your car window, which is great! However, the guy was wearing a very thin bandanna for a mask. It was actually transparent, and didn't cover his face well enough. In addition, he stood right in my window, and also handled my card for no reason. It was just to many little violations in a row. I've eaten here a lot before, and I just get a general sense that they are relaxed about COVID safety.
google avatar

Kris W.

Yelp
Stopped by when we were in Lansing for a convention. Food was pretty good. Brisket was great as was the cornbread.
google avatar

Jan M.

Yelp
I had the rib tips , beans and Mac n cheese. Absolutely delicious !!!! I'm going back there definitely !!! Maybe this week
google avatar

George M.

Yelp
The pork Banh Mi sandwich is freaking amazing. Hands down best sandwich in the area. No comparison. And it's only $6.50 and totally fills you up. The bread is yummy and crusty, the pork was perfect, the toppings fresh and flavorful. Just go and get it!!!!! I've also tried the BBQ and to be honest the brisket I had wasn't all that. I like Meat better for bbq in the area but the Vietnamese side of the menu is where Capital City truly shines
google avatar

Lea M.

Yelp
No I apologize there is no stars and no vanilla bean in the filling. Your brisket not my taste buds! Beans! No. Sorry. Fat overload. Ribs? Well about that. Where and why not salt your ribs? Cole slaw not my taste buds. No offense! I get the office. I don't get the brisket?? Why so much fat???? Like 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Gross fat grease!! Beans mush sweet. Sorry. No I spent $40 and I tipped you. I threw it all out. I apologize. I will not come back to your restaurant. Why lie? Vanilla bean disappear in filling?? Am I stupid??

Cortney L.

Yelp
Holy cow, this place is slept on! This small, hole in the wall spot is so dang delicious, I'm mad I'm just trying it. I ordered a take away, because, stupid Rona. The lemongrass chicken noodle salad was large! It had amazing zing of the lemongrass on the chicken and fresh flavor of basil, cilantro and cucumbers. Oh my and the dressing was tangy and light, all that I was looking for. They also included a egg roll which was fried to perfection.

Cheeno C.

Yelp
Ordered the smoked brisket Banh mi sandwich. I wasn't expecting much since the owner said there wasn't any pate on it which is usually found on most banh mi. The bread was super crunchy and robust. I call it artisan. The brisket was plentiful, thick cut tender and filling while the vegs were perfect. You might be off put by the crunch of the bread and the overload of tender thick meat slices. Order something else then, whiners. This sandwich imo is substantial and best value on the menu. Its not for the feint of heart or delicate pinky raising selfie taking pooh pooh wannabees. Hesitant to post this review as she might raise the price!
google avatar

Julie A.

Yelp
So good! We had an array of banh mi sandwiches (chicken, pork, brisket) and spring rolls. The sandwiches were full of food flavor and fresh ingredients. The fries are fantastic! We've gone back a couple times since our first experience. We've stuck closely to the banh mi sandwiches. Soon we will venture to trying some other menu items. I don't think they will disappoint. If you're in a rush, definitely call ahead (fries will be prepared upon arrival to be served hot).

Jackson B.

Yelp
Overly priced and owner is disrespectful towards employees. Make sure to leave a cash tip so they actually get their money
google avatar

RE A.

Yelp
The food is produced in electric smokers so you know there is no ring and the flavor is lacking. The price however is through the roof. The beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender. can't tell you about the chicken because I've never had it. I can say that they seem to be awfully busy even though there's really no Barbecue Pit in this place. Amazingly when I went in I found out that they are actually a carry out and a caterer not really a restaurant and they share their space with a phone store so don't expect to sit down and get any service or the really be able to eat. When you go here get something off the menu to go put it in your car and take it wherever you want because sitting here will not serve your purposes. Also plan to order more because the serving sizes are minut. I have never in my life paid $15 for one pound of sliced brisket and got home and found out that it would not serve two people. I don't know what kind of scale they're using but they certainly need to get the people from Lansing regulation and to check it out because it is earning people for real. I don't think I'll ever go back here again because I should get what I pay for and not have to leave a message about it.
google avatar

Ze W.

Yelp
This spot is a hidden gem. There are many different sandwiches mad freshly in front of you. The wait time is about 5-15min. They also serve viet subs and pho. The food was 8/10. Pretty good service also.
google avatar

Terry K.

Yelp
I had the smoked brisket Banh mi sandwich with a side of Cole slaw and a side of macaroni salad. The sandwiche was very good as was the macaroni salad. The Cole slaw was just ok for me. Service was great. I would come back.

Yelp
Unique BBQ in Lansing, Michigan. Food is prepared as ordered, could be up to 20 minutes for order. I ordered the Awesome Mess, served with honey mustard, very good. Also had the shrimp spring rolls, with peanut sauce, very filling. Worth the trip.

Yelp
I came here with my parents who were both born in Vietnam, and were in search of authentic Vietnamese close to MSU. My dad had the lemongrass rice plate wth egg, my Mom got the bun bo hue, and I wanted to try the BBQ and had a salmon sandwich. I would try to come here during off hours if you're not getting take out because around lunch time every tables as full and people were standing in line. Granted it's a half restaurant/phone store which makes me laugh but the food was VERY good. I highly recommend the salmon sandwich because it was such a great price, and I tried my parents Vietnamese food which was VERY authentic. Also be sure to try the rice paper Vietnamese rolls- they were so big and fresh. It's such a hole in the wall type of place and I can't wait to go back.

So sad to write this post. Ever since moving to Lansing this has been a favorite spot. However, a restaurants true colors show when service does not go as well as you were hoping. Ordered the rice plate with pork today. Service took long which is annoying but totally fine if the food is worth it. Halfway through my meal I cut into the second piece of meat, and half of the inside was raw. Again, I had finished part of the meal but after seeing the raw meat I lost my appetite and also was concerned about food safety. I went up to the cashier to address the issue so as to alert the cook that the meat they are putting out may not all be fully cooked. What began as an apology to me soon became an acusation of a scam. I was told that raw meat is not too alarming becuase it was not chicken- actually both raw chicke and raw pork are both risks of getting sick and worse getting a bacterial or worm infection. So- raw pork is actually quite concerning. Still I stayed calm and explained that I would not want the meat recooked or another piece- I just was not sure if I would get sick at this point. So I politely asked if I could get a refund for this specific plate ( I had ordered additional things and did not expect a refund on thise things). Whats worse is that instead of apologizing to me I get told that I am trying to scam them even though the minute I saw the raw meat I took the food back. I felt it was important to post this. Even though this place at times may be great, there is a lot to be said about the way they handle situations like this. I hope I dont get sick, and I hope no one else gets sick from such a situation. Super bummed at how they chose to treat me, I frequented this place quite often.
