I like this cafe. No, it doesn't have that cozy neighborhood cafe vibe, nor do you get a whiff of freshly roasted beans. Instead, it has a corporate feel with Capital One logo on the walls. Still, it has its own charm.
I always come here when visiting Americana at the Brand. After a few hours of hanging out and lunch nearby, I like to stop off here for a caffeine boost before leaving Glendale. The interior is pretty big and spacious. There are big windows that let in tons of light and ample seating.
Tucked toward the back is an in-house Peet's cafe. As an incentive, anyone holding a Capital One card gets all drinks 1/2 off. I like Peet's, and paying 1/2 is just an extra perk.
There are banking associates that can answer questions about their bank, but they're not pushy or even try to sell anything. They're just present in case people have questions.
There are many seating configurations, from single counter seatings to tables and comfortable chairs. There are also a lot of outlets, and that attracts a lot of people who bring their laptops for work or study. The drawback is they will probably stay there for hours, which makes available seating a roll of the dice. The upside to that is it's usually quiet considering how many people are in there, because most are staring at their computers, which makes having a conversation with friends much easier.
It's a nice place and I've been coming here for several years. They play nice background music, serve decent coffee, and just a chill place to rest your feet for a bit, or get some work done.
