West Hollywood’s Stunning Edition Boasts Chef With Michelin Pedigree | Eater LA

"These hybrid bank-branch/café locations—three in the Los Angeles area (Downtown, Glendale, and Santa Monica)—combine banking services with coffee-shop vibes, prompting local media to ask who the typical patrons are and what draws people to the blended format." - Matthew Kang

Google
Such a great space. Ruben walked us through all the benefits of Capital One Cafe and showed me how to pay my Capital One credit card. We also got free drinks for our first visit. Ruben made us feel right at home. Thank you!

Lisa J.

Google
What a vibe! Noah greeted us with a smile and was so friendly and welcoming. Loved him! Plus The honey lavender lattes were delish, but it was the quiet yet welcoming vibes won us over. We paid with a Capital One card and got 50% off-hell yeah 👏 👏 A great place to.chill, escape the heat, and connect with great WiFi. 💯 be back soon.

Hashim S.

Google
Ordered a cappuccino and matcha latte. Both didn’t taste good. For such a large working space, not enough outlets and the ones they have are mostly hogged. The vibe is more university study space:

Google
I'm personally not usually a fan of chain coffee shops, but this is a good setup. 50% discount if you pay with a Capital One card (heavily subsidised, promoting their range of cards, which includes those with air miles options ...I don't work for Capital One btw). Decent coffee (I'm critical when it comes to rating drinks) and good food options. There's plenty of space to work from, with free WiFi.

Google
This coffee spot ☕ is absolutely lovely ❤️ for taking a break 🛋️ or just enjoying some coffee ☕ while you read 📖 or write ✍️. It's such a cozy place! 🏡 The only downside is that it closes at 6 pm 🕕, which is a bit of a bummer. 😔

Harold Justin G.

Google
Excellent service and a spacious atmosphere! The location is perfect, and the overall vibe was incredible. Bonus: If you’re a Capital One member, you get half off drinks! @JGaines92

Dave M.

Google
As a bank customer, I enjoyed the half price coffee here. It’s full of customer when I visited. Very roomy and spacious seating if you can get a table/seat. Background music can be just a little bit lower.

Hike J.

Google
First things first.. The Coffee here is crap. The Iced Tea is a tad better, but still not great. Service is good, and plenty of seating, but most likely won't be back.

Yelp
Wanted to add the names of the employees who always go above and beyond! Noah and Sam are bundles of joy - positive, hardworking, and extremely kind. Whenever I see them at the cafe working, I want to grab a coffee even if I already had one! Special thanks to Jay for kindly providing me Noah and Sam's names

Yelp
Only knocking a star because of the weird hours. 10am-9pm is very strange and not helpful for anyone working or just looking to get coffee in the mornings. Opening an hour or two earlier and closing an hour or two earlier would honestly have me coming here more often. I get coffee here frequently, it's always great, especially for being so inexpensive if you pay with a Capital One card. $3 for a latte...cannot complain about that. Tastes leagues better than popular chains. As far as a working environment, the have a lot of seating, everyone is quiet or chatting at a low level, the music isn't too loud, tables and bathrooms are clean. There could be more outlets for charging. I haven't used their onsite banking services or talked to the Capital One employees. I'm not interested in that aspect of the café.
google avatar

James Y.

Yelp
I like the Capital One Cafes. Generally nice people and free stuff to boot. But, despite what this Yelp page says, this location does not validate. Also, I do wish the cafe offers drip coffee in a size larger than a 12oz.
google avatar

Katherine W.

Yelp
It's Verve coffee and it's the only good coffee option in this mall adjacent area. The service was friendly, and there's plenty of seating. That cosplay coffee shop that took over the Coffee Bean location in the Americana is too fluffy for me, and Coffee Bean isn't great anyway. Philz is also fluffy, but less fluffy than that fru fru place in the Americana.
google avatar

Yelp
this is a nice cafe from capital one with spaces to study and learn more about the cards. the service was quick, but the cashier did not seem very happy. there can be difficulty finding a place to sit as well. their seasonal cinnamon iced latte with cold foam was delicious and sweet. they also had connect four games available near the drink pick up station. cozy spot.
google avatar

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience at the Capital One Café today. Noah took my first order and was incredibly sweet, patient, and attentive -- his positive energy and great customer service really stood out. I went up for a second order and Sam helped me that time; he was also great, friendly, and just as welcoming. The coffee was really good, and the sandwiches tasted amazing. The ambience of the café was cozy, clean, and relaxing -- the kind of space you actually want to sit in for a while. I'm not from the area, but the team and the environment made the café feel so warm and inviting that I'd definitely come back. Thank you, Noah and Sam!

Yelp
50% off any items purchased at this cafe as a Capital One card holder! If that isn't a good deal, then I don't know what is. I wanted a change of scenery, and decided to drop by Capital One Cafe. Even on a random weekday in the early afternoon, this place is PACKED. It took me a while to find a table with an outlet, but they do have a lot of tables which is helpful. The space gives off a study spot so you won't feel out of place working here because everyone else is. The cafe is modern, and the high ceiling and natural lighting here is splendid. The cafe was extremely open space that i didn't feel cramp being here. They also have couple of conference rooms, which I was surprised. This cafe definitely is amazing, and wish more spaces were like this (eyeing other bank to do the same). Their drink and food selection is pretty limited, yet for some reason they had hot apple cider. This is the first cafe I seen this on the menu so I had to get it. It was sooo good, and it's also 50% sooo steal! The location of Capital One is nice because once you are done studying, you can walk outside to the Americana and Glendale Galleria.

Yelp
As a newly minted Capital One credit card holder, 50% off handcrafted beverages is a sweet deal for a drink break after some mall time! It is a Capital One bank branch and coffeeshop rolled into one, yet it feels more coffeehouse than bank. It is very spacious and modern inside. This can definitely be a nice place to study or get some work done. Even on a weekday it is packed inside, but it does not feel cramped for space with the seating layout. There are a couple nooks for smaller groups to book. The drink options are solid, with a nice little selection of snacks to complement. Service can be a tad slow if there's only one barista, as was the case when I went. I got a signature honey lavender latte, and at a half-off $3.50 price with no taste adjustments, it was definitely worth it! The lavender was subtle and light, but not overpowering. The drink itself was lightly sweet and not burnt tasting, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, a great place to be productive or have a midday pick me up!
google avatar

Charnie D.

Yelp
One of the biggest Capital One Cafe I have been to and I love decor and interior of it. There was ample seating and the cafe was packed with people and their laptops. They offer 50% on handcraft drinks if you pay with your capital one credit or debit card. There are also atm and customer service to assist with your banking needs. I got the chai tea for $3ish and it beats the chai tea that I would get from Starbucks and at a fraction of the price. I can't wait to come back and try their hot items and açaí bowl.
google avatar

Yelp
As a huge fan of coffee and cafes in general, I always love coming here! The staff here are so friendly and helpful and provide top notch service. I love their rotating specials menu and they always have a fun seasonal treat to try. I also love how they have a good selection of alternative milks for their drinks. While I miss the Peet's Coffee, Verve is just as amazing! This is the biggest Capital One cafes and despite it always being busy, I can always find a place to sit! I love how comfy the seating is and how bright and clean the cafe is! I ordered a caramel latte with oat milk and it was so rich, creamy and decadent. The espresso here is definitely high quality and they do a good job of balancing it in the lattes here! Parking was super easy in the mall's parking lot!
google avatar

Briseida N.

Yelp
I love the Capital One Cafe, it's a great place to work from! You get deals if you are a capital one card holder which is awesome. Also right now every Monday till Sep 22 they have free drinks. I tried the Sparkling Pink Lemonade, it was very refreshing. Don't forget to tip the workers because it does get very busy. The service is quite fast for how busy they get. I love the ambience it's quite peaceful in there!
google avatar

Karla B.

Yelp
Came here to check out the cafe cuz I have a card with them and I have to say it's incredible and beautiful the place. It's so spacious and also the atmosphere was very nice. Many people were in there working and doing homework and it was very nice. We talked with a specialist about my card and he was kind enough to give my mom and I two drinks on the house. I loved my strawberry cold foam matcha and my mom liked her iced latte but said it was sweet enough to her liking but was ok with it. I plan to come back and get drinks here because if I use my credit card that's capital one all drinks are 50% off. Loved this cafe!
google avatar

Marcela L.

Yelp
I really like that they now serve Verve coffee as they don't have coffee shops in most neighborhoods like Peet's does which is the coffee Capital One Cafe used to serve. It really brings the quality up a notch in my opinion. The service has always been good and I especially like that capital one customers can enjoy 50% off. The space is very large, but even then it can be difficult to find a table to sit at depending on the day and time in which you visit. I also appreciate that the bank employees have never attempted to upsell me even when I ask questions about their credit cards.
google avatar

Joshua Cyrus A.

Yelp
Great space and they have actual charging stations. The matcha is good too! I love how they provide lots of free condiments for your drinks. The space is clean and the seats are comfortable. Great place to work/ study. The ambiance is amazing. It feels like a bustling city and it motivates you to work. The giant windows provide a nice atmosphere. ATM access is right up in the front. The baristas are friendly and are happy to give you suggestions. Overall very welcoming and a good vibe. No complains for this location. I hope other branches can learn from this location
google avatar

Yelp
The signature latte is delicious iced. Seasonal gingersnap latte is also very good! I was pleasantly surprised to come on the day they are hosting a dodgers party, I'm shocked they even have the world services trophy!
google avatar

Franklin M.

Yelp
This is a great place to grab a small bite to eat or enjoy some coffee at a discounted rate for Capitol One card holders. The only drawback are the selfish entitled young folk that hang out here with their laptops hogging up the tables. This is in not the library where you can spend hours and hours taking up space. The cafe should limit who can hang out here and for how long. We couldn't get a seat for two people and had to share a couch with no table.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
Must visit if you're a capital one card holder because 50% off drinks! The coffee is really really solid too. This is one of the best places I've been to for doing work. There's tons of seating, lots of table space, strong wifi, and like mentioned great drinks. Also there's tons to do in the location of course so you can make a day out of chilling in the area and coming here.
google avatar

Josephine C.

Yelp
On a Saturday morning in January, I stopped by Capital one cafe to try half off drinks with my capital one credit card. It is very spacious inside for relaxing or studying. The ambiance was chill and cool vibe. The verve coffee inside the capital one cafe and ordered ice mocha drink. I didn't wait too long for my drink. It taste good for being half off. I forgot to mention they have free luggage tags.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Coffee here is good and cheap if you have a Capital One credit card, and staff are really nice. Biggest problem is the Wi-Fi is either trash or blocks VPN so can't get any real work done here.
google avatar

Elle E.

Yelp
I usually have great service here and I'm only giving the cafe a two because of the inconsistency and attitude of today's workers. I'm just saying, if your calling is not in service, you shouldn't be working as a server. First of all, I've been going too long that I know, sugar is free... and to key in syrup as an additional charge for something I get for free is silly. I know I have a cap one card but still, that's suppose to be the perk for banking with here right? And if you are going to explain something, don't be condescending.... You make the experience even worse.
google avatar

Janey Y.

Yelp
Largest Capital one cafe location that I've been to in the LA area. Hours are extensive as well. I love the location-- you can easily just park at Glendale Galleria, walk over and study all day. The location has plenty of seating, which allows for some loitering (good/bad). While it feels like Capital One cafes are mainly suited in urban areas, I would love to see a future location in the 626 area.
google avatar

Niki C.

Yelp
Its an interesting concept to mix bank business with your coffeine fix. Having said that, it is always one off here. The bank people are younger (to tailor most of the visitors perhaps) so they would say one thing then add something later. For instance, they tell you you could withdraw upto $20,000 in cash but when you are there, they say only if that money was in the account for 4 days plus. Cafe is one off too. They only have 1 or 2 baristas at most who is also a cashier. The service isnt fast, and they always ring something wrong or run out of milk or tea or something. Consistency is also hard to expect.
google avatar

Alex J.

Yelp
Great vibes, wonderful service, drinks made well, quiet, spacious, a great cafe to relax in a busy city!
google avatar

Lenny A.

Yelp
Love the vibe of this place. It was quite crowded but I was able to find a seat. The matcha is decent, it's not for you if you prefer strong and rich matcha. The lattes are great.
google avatar

Rusty H.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Capital One, and while I appreciate innovation and trying new things, I'm not sold on a coffee shop bank. CO customers get a 50% discount at the cafe if paying with their card, but items seem a little on the pricey side, so am I really saving money? (Well, this is the Americana!) Also, the space is cavernous, and not so cozy for a cafe. If you want to actually do some banking, well, you'll need to go online. The bank employees are here to answer questions and advise only... which was actually very handy when setting up my accounts. The one day I did go for coffee, their system was down so they were only offering free drip coffee... so not bad. I definitely will be returning. Hopefully I'll find an extra star somewhere for a perfect review for this merchant which isn't really a bank and isn't really a cafe.

becca a.

Yelp
Quiet location to work and focus. If you work from home and need a fresh location this may work perfectly for you since it's free! Extra bonus if you're a capital one customer you get 50% off if you use your capital one card. They don't validate parking so if you park in the structure then visit another shop to get your ticket validated. If you have a nonprofit you can book a private meeting room.
google avatar

Caley F.

Yelp
This place is one of the better larger cafés in the Glendale area that I know of. Great as a work space and the coffee was excellent. It may be owned and run by a large bank, but it has a nice atmosphere. I'll definitely go back.Service was very good.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been spending more time in Glendale lately and nothing beats a trip into Capital One Cafe - Glendale, Los Angeles/LA Located just on the outer half of the Americana at/on Brand - at the north corner of Harvard St / Brand Blvd - just before parking. Love grabbing a nice caffeinated beverage, grabbing a cozy seat and enjoying nothing but mellow vibes. Love hanging out, doing some in person banking and enjoying those member discounts via Verve Coffee Roasters (food, treats and/or eats). The customer service is beyond exceptional and while the era of new age banking continues to emerge they do have assistants aka Capital One Cafe Ambassadors to assist you. Enjoy comfortable work space, free Wi-Fi, great music, easy to use restrooms and take a beat at the C.O.C. of G-Dale. You don't have to be a Capital One banker to enjoy this all inclusive & welcoming cafe, any day of the week.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Fantastic place to study/get work done. I needed to take a work call but had dinner plans nearby. This was the perfect solution. There was a bar where you could order coffee/drinks but I went straight for the open seating area. You do not need a capital one card here but I think you may get a discount on drinks if you do have one. Definitely will be a go to spot whenever I am in the area and need WiFi!
google avatar

Rodolfo D.

Yelp
The food cafe is delicious tasting. If you have capital one it is 50 percent off. The service is excellent especially by Justin who was treated my brother and I to coffee. It was the best gesture of kindness forward. Any questions they can answer for us. There is a lot of space to sit down study and plug ins for our phones , computers etc. the restrooms are clean and uses the Dyson hand drier. The ambiance is pleasant and inviting. I highly recommend this place. Happy New year everyone kindness forward.
google avatar

Thanh T.

Yelp
Great place to stop by during your shopping spree. They were serving Verve Coffee that also has a shop in Arts District LA. Highly recommend if you have Capital One card as you get 50% drinks! Love the honey lavendar latte, iced teas, and drip coffee. They have WiFi and clean restrooms for you to reset before heading back out to shop.
google avatar

Brian I.

Yelp
It's open later than the DTLA location, making it a great spot for studying or working late. Located on the Americana at Brand side, right at a corner, it serves Verve coffee and offers a 50% discount for Capital One customers. It does get busy, so be sure to grab a spot or wait around.
google avatar

Narek Z.

Yelp
I like the ambiance of the place. Very nice and inviting. Coffee was pretty good but I won't say better than the competition. Service was perfect though. Would go back again. I liked how they had private rooms you can reserve.
google avatar

Sharon H.

Yelp
Spacious cafe to do work and get a quick drink. I like that they are provide a coworking space in the mall, and you can to take a break and order a decently made coffee. I would recommend a honey Lavendar matcha drink, which is sweet but has a distinctive matcha taste.
google avatar

Diana W.

Yelp
The place is pretty filled by 1020am on a Tuesday. They open at 10am. Great wifing (work on laptop, study, etc) place!! Don't expect much from the quality of your food/drinks. Verve brand. They seem to offer wayyy better stuff than the Vegas Capital One location on the strip. There's food, and drinks. Free water refill. And a restroom. Located at The Americano (outdoor mall) but there's free parking at the Galleria (indoor mall). And just stroll on over. Capital One staff are walking around, or visibly around so an individual could possibly stay longer, and leave their stuff kinda unattended to use the restroom. Again, at your discretion. There are outlets for USB and regular plugs. Also, there's plenty of individuals working from their laptop, and headphones on. Cafe staff really seemed like they didn't care to really serve, or answer many questions. The reason I said don't expect too much from this place other than a great wifi spot to study/work on your laptop.
google avatar

Terrence S.

Yelp
I'm not sure how I've never known this chain to be a thing. The interior looks very modern, spacious, and plenty of chairs and tables around to do work, most with outlets. I came here right when it opened and I was able to order a breakfast sandwich and a coffee without waiting. The sandwich is a classic, with cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg, piping hot and a great way to start the day. The latte was great too, beautiful leaf on the top with the foam, and good rich roasted taste without being too bitter. Service was great too, the servers were very helpful and got things done fast. They reminded me that paying with a capital one card gets half off on the drinks, which was a nice bonus. The only downside was my experience afterwards as I stayed inside to get my work done. It quickly got overcrowded with other people also trying to find places to sit and study. One of the customers with horrible B.O. sat nearby and I quickly had to move. Not sure why the tables at the back were reserved, and for whom, but I wasn't able to find another place to sit until way later, and that was quite the disruption to one of my most efficient days of the month. Despite this, I think I would still come back for the cheap delicious drinks and relaxing vibe that is great for studying or working.
google avatar

Joyce G.

Yelp
Walked by this place multiple times, but never went in till now. Many places to sit. Pretty quiet, so I think I would like sitting here to do some work. Didn't order anything to drink. Maybe next time. Didn't notice any food. I'm not a Capital One card holder, but it looks like they have some perks which is always nice. I don't remember my banking institution having much in perks, but they don't have a Cafe neither. Free 90 minutes parking if you park at the parking structure, NOT at the Americana.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
I like this cafe. No, it doesn't have that cozy neighborhood cafe vibe, nor do you get a whiff of freshly roasted beans. Instead, it has a corporate feel with Capital One logo on the walls. Still, it has its own charm. I always come here when visiting Americana at the Brand. After a few hours of hanging out and lunch nearby, I like to stop off here for a caffeine boost before leaving Glendale. The interior is pretty big and spacious. There are big windows that let in tons of light and ample seating. Tucked toward the back is an in-house Peet's cafe. As an incentive, anyone holding a Capital One card gets all drinks 1/2 off. I like Peet's, and paying 1/2 is just an extra perk. There are banking associates that can answer questions about their bank, but they're not pushy or even try to sell anything. They're just present in case people have questions. There are many seating configurations, from single counter seatings to tables and comfortable chairs. There are also a lot of outlets, and that attracts a lot of people who bring their laptops for work or study. The drawback is they will probably stay there for hours, which makes available seating a roll of the dice. The upside to that is it's usually quiet considering how many people are in there, because most are staring at their computers, which makes having a conversation with friends much easier. It's a nice place and I've been coming here for several years. They play nice background music, serve decent coffee, and just a chill place to rest your feet for a bit, or get some work done.
google avatar

Olivia H.

Yelp
I love the capitol one cafe concept! It's such a necessity when so many people work remotely or hybrid. The vibe is very productive as there's a lot of space and everyone else is working also. I come here often for a couple hours at a time, get a drink, and do some remote work. This is the perfect spot because it's right in the Glendale Americana which has everything - shops, good restaurants, etc. I also love that they now serve Verve coffee as it's an all-time favorite coffee shop of mine. I've had their special lattes, iced coffee, americanos, and matcha and everything is really good. I will say the matcha I got at this location was not properly whisked and there were small clumps of matcha powder throughout the drink. But other than that, definitely one of my favorite places to get coffee and do work!
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Me and my girl and coworkers stopped at Capital One Coffee for breakfast earlier this week. She kills me if I do not invite her to the Galeria and Americana. Capital One has good coffee and bagels here. I also like our Irvine location at home. But the service was much more better here. Young people love their jobs. I will visit again.
google avatar

Danielle Y.

Yelp
Came here to work as I was traveling in the area and needed a place to set up for the day. This place is great for working from home, it's not too loud and everyone around is doing their own thing. There's fast WiFi and outlets almost everywhere. The bathrooms are clean as well. 10/10 would recommend, I'm definitely coming back if I'm in the area!
google avatar

Robyn Mei M.

Yelp
Love going to capital one! I myself am a capital one card holder so I get a discount on drinks. They're not the tastiest, but it's average. Also love that They always have freebies like bookmark/pens/ etc. Nice place to chill and study!
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
It's a simple and, at the same time a brilliant idea... Banking and coffee. I love this place. Great service, fantastic people, great coffee, and beverages. They use Peets coffee and the place awesome. It's been my favorite coffee place.
google avatar

Dianne H.

Yelp
I stopped at this Capital One Cafe to deposit a check. My app wasn't working, and since I hadn't deposited a check in person in years, I felt like I was learning tech for the first time! Thankfully, Reuben was a huge help--he made the process easy and painless without making me feel silly. Afterward, I tried their signature coffee, and it was amazing. Starbucks, step aside! Capital One really needs more of these cafes around; having so few locations in counties is disappointing for us Capital One users. The cafe itself is spacious, with a great vibe for working or hanging out. The only downside was the parking--it's pricey, and they don't validate. But overall, highly recommended!

Pedro R.

Yelp
Service was impeccable, ambiance amazing everyone fun working having a good time, and productive, very lively on a Wednesday at noon! Entire area very active

Yelp
My husband works in Glendale, which is almost 30 miles from where we live. So sometimes, if we have plans out somewhere in LA, it just makes sense that I'm already out in that area instead of him coming home just for us to head back out. But where do I go to kill that much time? That's what I had to figure out every time. Until I discovered CAPITAL ONE CAFÉ. A bunch of tables to choose from, so many outlets to plug in your laptop or any other electronics. Plus, there's a coffee bar AND if you're a Capital One customer, you get 50% off when you use your Capital One card. I really enjoyed it here because there were so many areas to sit. Don't get me wrong, it was pretty busy for a weekday afternoon, but there's so much space that I found a spot right when I got there and eventually moved to a table when it opened up. You don't feel claustrophobic since areas and tables are spread out and you still have a sense of privacy and peace and quiet. I was able to get so much work done while there!
google avatar

Kayla M.

Yelp
10/10. Love the restrooms and the office areas. I always know I'm in safe hands when there's a Capital One cafe in the area. get drinks, recharge, restroom up, etc

Bryan L.

Yelp
Was helped by Chelsea on 05aug25 and she was amazing. Her hospitality really made my day and she brings a great image and personality to the capital one team!

Yelp
S/O to Ruben and Alexis who totally went out of their way to help me. I was in a bit of a pickle and they did not hesitate to help me find a solution. They truly lifted a weight off my shoulders.
