Capitano has been on my must-try list for so long, so finally dining there was such a treat!
First things first, I have to talk about the interior design. Designed by Chris James Studio, the space feels like a reimagined modern pub—moody, refined, and effortlessly stylish. The dark tones, ambient lighting, and thoughtful layout create an atmosphere that feels classy yet unpretentious. Despite the openness of the space, it still manages to feel intimate, making it perfect for small groups or date nights. I was immediately struck by how comfortable and welcoming the space was.
Now onto the food! Dining as a trio, we decided to share three dishes. The Norma square pizza caught our attention immediately, and it did not disappoint. Imagine a perfectly fluffy focaccia layered with pizza toppings—it was rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. It’s super filling, so sharing was definitely the right move (trust me, you wouldn’t want to tackle this one solo!).
We also tried two pasta dishes: the Casarecce with prawns and the Cavatelli with pistachio pesto. Both were delicious, but in my opinion, Capitano truly shines as a pizza-first kind of spot.
The service was impeccable—the staff were so attentive, and the food came out ridiculously fast (which was ideal since I was starving!). Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d definitely come back. Capitano, you’re worth the hype!
