José Andrés Stands With Cultural Heroes at the Academy Awards - Eater DC

"Arlnow reports that local producer Capitol City Brewing Company closed in Shirlington, Virginia, on March 2. 'After 22 years of proudly serving Northern Virginia, we have had to make the difficult decision to close this location,' the company wrote in a farewell note on social media. A location opposite the City Center complex remains in operation." - Warren Rojas

We went on "yoga and wine" night but obviously weren't prepared for half of that. Regardless, we ordered hummus which was phenomenal and could easily be a whole meal. Service was quick but the place was poorly staffed. Not sure if it was busier than expected or a high number of last minute call outs but our server was noticeably 'too busy', resulting in seeing her only once or twice during our meal and nonexistent drink refill. But it speaks to this place that I still consider it a 5 star experience!

The food and beer are very good. The service is a bit off. I came in early around 5. The bartender ignored me at the bar. Had to ask the host for service. Guess I am not a regular.... The appetizer was excellent and so was the beer. The service did get better once I ordered.

The food was really good and so was the beer. Would have been 5 stars but it took a while to get everything out to us. In all fairness, it was after 10 pm and we were outside....

Impressed with the quality of the food. I had a "special" which actually tasted like one. The beer was solid, I won't complain, but it wasn't on that top echelon of beer. If you're coming just for the beer there are better options, but for beer and food I haven't had anything better in NOVA. I'll be back for sure.

Great food, great beer (except the IPA). Only knock I have is that my dog was not given water or a treat. Odd for a how muscular this area is known for being dog friendly.

Old Bay wings and crab dip were very good! Pumpkin beer tasty! Service was fast and friendly. Thanks!

Decent options, decent food. Person seating people has some attitude and service was pretty slow.

I ordered the mushroom swiss burger rare. Waiter said no one ever orders rare. But the meat came out so soft. It was delicious.
