They brought the class, we brought the sass. The entire service team was extremely accommodating to our group, a little higher energy than the setting. Every item was excellent served with impeccable presentation and professionalism. Key sides we’re the fried green tomatoes, Mac and cheese. The best dishes were all of them. Kudos again to a wait staff patient enough to handle our parties lack of couth and decorum.

Capitol Grille is the finest upscale Southern cuisine in all of Tennessee and for good reason. One visit and you quickly realize why it is held in such high regard. The sorghum braised short ribs will change your perception of brisket forever. If you're looking for a truly upscale Southern cuisine restaurant, it begins and ends with The Capitol Grille in Nashville. PS. Don't confuse The Capitol Grille with the chain restaurant of similar name. Not the same. Not even close.

I read a few negative reviews about this place, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Every single bite of every single dish was outstanding. The cook on my steak was perfect and it was full of flavor. Brussels sprouts had a nice twang. Grits needed no help: perfectly seasoned, rich and creamy. Best fried okra I've ever had was accompanied by a Creole aioli. Dessert was my least favorite course, but it was still very good. Apple cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream with a nice "Happy Anniversary" touch. Very friendly and attentive service by Anthony. Looking forward to returning!

As I enter the hotel, I can tell that the atmosphere of the place is welcoming and beautiful. The food was exquisite and might be one of the most delicious dish I have ever had! Although, I was really confused with the waitstaff there. As they were never explain anything to us. They just put it on our table without us knowing what the dish was or whether these are the things that we ordered. One of them just put cornbread with no explanation?? Is it for us or is it for display??? I don’t know! Still, we tipped them really well as the pandemic hits the restaurant staffs the hardest.

Excellent whiskey selection at the Oak Bar downstairs. Full dinner menu available at the bar there. Crafty cocktail list, but I went with a straight rye on the rocks. I had red snapper on special that was fantastic, which had a couple reductions on the plate, served over arugula and mustard topping. Mustard greens side was just ok, had too many flavors going on for me. Elizabeth at the bar was very friendly and attentive.

Love the Capitol Grille for brunch/breakfast. It's so peaceful, the staff is great, the food is excellent and prices are very reasonable. Not sure why its never busy...locals should visit more often as valet parking is free. They do a beautiful French press coffee and everything is beautifully plated.

Ok this is why this "restaurant " earned two stars. Our servers Abanob and Jeff were excellent! Now head these following words. For $116.08 plus tip you too can sit in an elegant decorative restaurant, with good ambient music playing in the background. Just imagine (because I don't want you to relive our night on the town experience) Jeff brings you food elegantly presented on white China plates. Your glasses are constantly filled to the brim with water. WOW! But as you begin to indulge in your meal you begin to notice their is no soul in the food. I'm not talking about soul food. I'm referring to the emptiness / love that you taste in food. Don't get me wrong the food was presented just like culinary school would have taught any chef. But I truly believe this chef has lost his zest, his love for cooking. I have never tasted food so bland but look so beautiful. To put it bluntly McDonald's food has better flavor.

Walked in randomly to use the restroom and ended up seeing an awesome restroom that was made in the early 1900s. It reminded me of the film, The Shining. We also checked out the capital grille bar. And man, did they take care of us. They made us an old fashioned where our bartender lit a board on fire to give us a smoky flavor to our drink and stamped the ice with their seal. It was an amazing experience!
