"Under new management" but looks like the "same as the old boss". We didn't see much difference from the local dive bar from years ago, although, they finally got the smokers outside - big improvement!
It was obnoxiously loud in the restaurant area and the service was... challenging. We had to request silverware, but it never came, so we got it ourselves (plastic sets that include the only salt & pepper we could find). We asked for "another round" - it never came. We asked for ketchup, but it never came, so we got it ourselves. Unfortunately, it wasn't that busy, either. We did notice one server working very hard for customers, but not ours.
The good news is... surprisingly... the food was pretty darn good! Excellent onion rings and maybe the best Rueben in OV with in-house made corned beef, and lots of it. Nothing worse than a thin Rueben! Only (minor) complaint was...it was very messy. The marbled rye didn't stand a chance with all the "juice". I suspect that the chef doesn't drain or dry off the sauerkraut before cooking on the grill... and that's an easy fix.
