The 25 Best Restaurants In Rome 2024

"Capo Boi serves arguably the best seafood in all of Rome, but that’s just one of the reasons you should have dinner here. On paper, it seems like it might be stuffy: the upscale restaurant is located in Parioli, one of Rome’s most elegant districts. But the atmosphere is more relaxed, like attending a dinner party hosted by your fun uncle who owns a megayacht (but doesn’t tell anyone). You’ll find starters like paper-thin pane carasau, a crackly Sardinian flatbread, topped with thin shavings of salty bottarga, alongside platters of raw fish, oysters, mussels, and shrimp. There are equally delicious entrees, like large, tender filets of salt-baked spigola, set on fire before being served by your waiter who may or may not have just burned his eyebrows off. Come with a big group so you can devour as much seafood as possible." - gillian mcguire, annie replogle

This place serves Sardegna Food, great friendly owner, great service, but most of all Great food, especially the quality of the fish. It's a bit pricey, but the value of the fish and service justifies the Price. I definitely would recommend this place. They also have a Kosher friendly menu for Jewish tourist who want to taste the food.

A wonderful gem in a beautiful neighborhood in Rome. From the moment you enter you are immersed in Sardinian hospitality and the love of all food. We loved the fresh food and the energy of the restaurant. Thank you for making my birthday so memorable!

Food was delicious. Very loud environment. Service was good, almost too fast. Aperitif and cookies on the house was a nice treat

My fish had several bones in it. And we sat next to two whining dogs the entire meal. Is that what fine Italian dining is?

The service is old style excellent and support efficient. The food is good quality but nothing more. The rest is OK, place is quite tired. I would say good for a relaxing business lunch

We had sea bass carpaccio to share and then the turbot and the salt crusted sea bass. It was all just so fresh, and extremely tasty. Our waiter helped us choose our wine which went perfectly with our food and was reasonably priced. If you like fish, do not miss this place - it was fully booked, mostly with locals, the night we went. We can’t recommend it enough!

This was hands down the best meal I ever had in Rome for this price. Every dish was prepared to perfection and the service was not very warm but professional. It is also a nice place to experience how locals dine, since we saw only one other foreign couple in the room packed with people. They offered us free bread, espressi, sweet treats and three bottles with digestifs to pour by yourself, which all were amazing. It is a nice walk up to the restaurant next to the Villa Borghese and you can also have a quick look at the fascinating buildings of the Coppedè district.

Yelp
We just had such a romantic evening here! After being greeted with prosecco at our table, our waiter spoke to us of his recommendations. We went ahead with everything he loved - and well - we LOVED them too! By the way, his name is Silvio, and he made our night as great as it was! Definitely try the prawns and shrimp appetizer. The prawns are like butter and the shrimp tastes like a softer version of lobster. We did have to ask him how to eat the dish... so don't hesitate if you need to do the same! We also had the fish tartare - so fresh and delicious! For dinner, we had the artichoke & grouper pasta dish - superb! Then to end the night he brought us "Coke, Fanta, and Sprite", which was actually Rum (?), Limoncello, and Grappa.

Yelp
Ristorante - CapoBoi, Via Arno, Rome, Metropolitan City of Rome, Italy. Found the review on conde nast for great local food. Seabass cooking in fired sea salt was amazing, oysters were delish, octopus salad to die for, pasta was infused un sweet tomatoes and all the sides took it over the top.
