Capo Deli Tysons

Visited for the first time this past weekend and I am still thinking about how great this meal was. Pictured is the tuna sub and not shown is the chicken salad. We absolutely loved how fresh everything tasted and the prices were reasonable. The employees were very attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was very clean.

This was our first time here and it was phenomenal! We ended up getting an Italian and a buffalo chicken cheesesteak. Both were 10/10, and don’t even get me started on how good their rolls are! This has to be the best sandwich spot in the area. The people are personable, the food is great, and the atmosphere is cool. They even have a small bar counter to eat at with TVs. Definitely will be coming back!

Sesame buns shine here. They have a crunchy crust and soft and chewy inside. 😋 I made a mistake of not ordering Italian sub with all the trimming which made less enjoyable.

Tried Capo Deli since it’s close to my office and I’m glad I did. A group of us got subs and they were fresh and really good. I got the California cheesesteak and highly recommend it, you can tell the meat is quality and not that typical chain place meat. What I loved most is that the food was filling, but it didn’t leave us with that heavy, tired feeling you usually get after lunch. Although I went during lunch time our order was done on time and didn't have to wait. One coworker got a salad and loved it. The customer service was great and super friendly. Best spot near the office for lunch. I’ll definitely be catering from here soon.

The best! All employees checked on us multiple times. You can tell they take pride with everything they offer. Had the Milano and it was so fresh!! Bar seating has purse hooks that retract so you don't constantly hit yourself with them. Appreciated every little touch!

This is a place I’ve been wanting to stop by since it opened 3 years ago. Morning glad I finally stopped by. One of the best subs I’ve had as long as I can remember. Friendly staff and very courteous and customer service friendly. If I lived closer I would be here every other day! It’s a must have!

Very expensive for "okay" sandwhich. From the pictures and for a 20 dollar sandwhich was expecting a lot more meat. Less meat than somewhere half the price (like jersey mikes). They also charged me an extra dollar to sub pickles for tomatoes. When your sandwhich is already expensive and only has a few toppings to begin with that was another "hmmm ok" moment. Flavors ok but not mind blowing. Tried Italian and turkey/roast beef. Update - weird reply to this comment the business saying they "checked on me and my friends while eating and said everything was great" - I ordered pick up (says "take out" on the review). The sandwiches were for me and my husband we have a newborn and no time to eat in a resturant 😬

Tried a new deli today since I was working nearby, and I’m so glad I did! I went with the egg and cheese sandwich it was absolutely delicious. Special thanks to Jeris, the lovely lady who greeted me with a big smile and such positive energy. I also grabbed a tiramisu afterward, and it really hit the spot. Overall, a great experience!

Just the hit list: - the rueben is beef soft, not over salted, and delicious on marbled rye. Not too much dressing or kraut, so the meat sang through. If they're using commercially pastrami, I want to know which so I can keep it at home. - the italian combo came of soft, crusty seasame seed bread, just as it should. The veggies were strong and very fresh, which balanced the meat/cheese combo perfectly. The entire sandwich was exactly what I wanted for lunch, but doubled. Prices are higher than fast food delis, but the quality is MUCH better.

I am such a fan of a really good Italian sandwich. Honestly I could eat them every day! So that does make me a little more critical... I had seen good reviews and heard good things about Capo Deli so I was hoping it would live up to the hype. Sadly, I don't think it did. For $20 I got a small sub and drink. $20?! You can go to A Litteri in Union Market and get a 9 inch sub (with imported meats, cheeses, and sauces) for $12. This small sub was $15.99 for 6 inches with less toppings. It also took over fifteen minutes which is odd because the place was dead. Don't get me wrong, it tasted good. But is it worth it? I really don't think so. They also have a nice little seating area out back that is good, but I'd recommend doing takeout! Although the bread might be soggy. Ours was soggy within five seconds of getting.

Capo is a solid choice for sandwiches in Tyson's. The small is still a pretty filling sandwich and there are many options on the menu. We ordered some sandwiches to go and one issue we had was that the paper the sandwiches were wrapped in ended up stuck to them (hot). Not sure if this happens on the cold ones, but it was a bit annoying to peel off. I had the chicken fontina with tomatoes and red onions added. It had a nice flavor, wasn't dry (which was great considering it's chicken inside), and the arugula was a good addition to not make it a heavy sandwich. I would stop here for a quick lunch or picnic food.

This place is a joke! Stopped in at 9:30 am to pick up a hoagie for lunch. Huge sign outside says there are open. They would not make a cold hoagie. Nothing heated. Nothing complicated. No alterations from the menu. Nope. Not making lunch sandwiches. Only breakfast sandwiches. I can get a hot steak and cheese with an egg on it.... I can get an Italian meat + egg sandwich on a hoagie roll but no cold non-egg hoagie. There was lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc... all put out in the chiller containers so it is not like the typical cold hoagie toppings were not ready and out. I am thinking this is pure insanity. I pulled up Door Dash and shared that you can clearly make a cold hoagie bc I can order one via Door Dash. The response was ok, order on Door Dash. LOL Sure for $5+ more for an already $16 small hoagie. So let me get this straight, you are telling me you can't make a cold hoagie but I can order it via DD in front of you, you will make it immediately and I pay more? Can I please speak with a manager? A lady who barely speaks English, claims she called the owner, Ziad, who said they are not allowed to make a cold hoagie. This is beyond a freaking joke of a place! I will be spreading the word regarding this nonsense and legit poor customer service that I just experienced!

First time at Capo deli and really enjoyed it. Friendly service, clean eating area (about 20 stools for counter seating), and good food. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the balance of flavors from the dressing, peppers, cheese, and deli meats were all on point. It was a bit expensive, but worth it for an occasional sandwich. I waited about 10 minutes for it to be made, and it was around $17. I'll be back, but it won't be a weekly thing.

I love how cozy, clean, and quaint this deli is, and to top it off, a bar inside as well! Customer service was one of the best I have experienced. The Milano was and portion is very generous. Cuban was a little dry, I wish it had more of the delicious mustard it came with. But it came out piping out and I asked for more mustard in the side so no problems with that. Can't wait to try their other subs!

Finally made my way to Capo Deli and they didn't disappoint. Ordering online was a breeze (although I didn't find anywhere to add notes like dressing on the side) and mmy order was ready a few minutes before the propromised time. I decided on a small Capo Special, which included soppressata, mortadella, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and house-made Italian dressing. I also added hot cherry peppers. The small was larger than I thought it would be. The bread was soft, yet slightly chewy. I liked how they didnt skimp on the meat. I'd definitely get the dressing on the side next time, especially if I weren't going to eat the sandwich right away. Also got a small baked ziti (small-8oz)i and original cheesesteak (sahved beef, mixed bell peppers, onions, and provolone cheese) for C&N, which they enjoyed. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area and craving a good sandwich.

While I ordered through takeout and delivered by Ubereats, I wanted to leave a review still. My fiance had the Italian which he said is always amazing, and I had the baked ziti. I often find that the quality of pasta at places that primarily sell sandwiches or pizza isn't always as good--but this wasn't the case here! The baked ziti was so good, noodles cooked perfectly, the sauce had great flavor, cheese spread throughout, and basil cooked in it. While I can't speak to the ambience of the spot in person, they're very solid for delivery from what I could tell!

Visited this location for the first time today I've seen their Instagram ads for a long time was in the area decided to stop. Of course, when I told my friends I was stopping. I got a list. Ended up getting four different sandwiches several desserts a drink. I arrived after lunch. It is a small location, but the person greeted me was very polite. The location is very clean very neat. and smelled great. Person helping me was very polite very patient with me, especially since it was my first time there which is always great when you don't feel rushed or someone rolls her eyes when you don't know what you're doing. I tried your Thanksgiving sub, which is awesome, the Cubano, which is also awesome. Had a custom sub and the chicken salad all great. The desserts were super everyone loved them. And I got to try all since I bought and picked them up I got a passionfruit margarita I didn't realize it had ghost tequila in it, which was a surprise, but it was very good. I think I'll certainly go back again. Maybe try a different bread with my subs to see what that's like. overall very happy definitely worth a try for lunch or to pick up dinner like I did certainly five stars. Thanks again.

Service and food were both amazing. I haven't had a sandwich this good and authentic in a long time! Can't wait to go back.

I'm just going to start by saying, if you havnt had Capos Deli your trippin. Just sat inside for the first time with this California cheesesteak. Joint is I've had it before but sitting down and getting it fresh was on point. Service was great young lady at the front was super nice. I'll be back forsure.

Tucked in the corner of a small food strip mall next to a Wings place, this eatery has a small entrance with limited seating where you place your order. However, if you turn the corner, you'll find an open bar and more seating. They serve Boar's Head deli meat, and their bread is incredibly fresh and chewy. We all ordered the "small" sandwiches, but they were more like what you'd expect a "large" to be. They also offer chips and bottled refrigerated beverages. The place is super clean, and the service is friendly and quick. The cashier and staff even came to our table to check on us. Highly recommend - the sandwiches were delicious and hit the spot!

The food here is great quality, and the place advertises and serves boars head brand. Honestly can't taste a huge difference but overall the sandwich was very good. It's a bit pricey but thats probably because of it being boars head brand.

Overall: 3.8/5 Food: 4/5 Delicious!! I had the classic Italian and we also had a turkey. Was able to add pickles to my sammy for .25 cents extra, very worth it! Also got the hot pepper relish, ask for it on this side, it's so good but packs a punch. Both of us had the size small and it was a lot. I really love how they slice the meet so thin. Atmosphere: 3/5 The restaurant is located in a strip mall and has high top seating as well as maybe 3 small tables. There was a little section with a tv, but it wasn't on. Overall, I think the subs are great! Wouldn't come here for a date night, but good for grab and go, or to shop and eat!

Had a wonderful lunch at this Deli. Ordered a roast beef sandwich. Super Fresh bread, tons of thinly sliced beef and yummy Italian dressing. The restaurant was sparkling clean. Even the bathrooms.

Very impressed with the sandwich as I am always looking for an Italian sandwich whereever I am at. I got the Italian Combo and it was so good. I loved the thin sliced meat, italian dressing (this is what seals the deal for me). The seeded bread was good. It isnt my favorite as I like softer breads but it was still good.

The fresh bread, delicious turkey bacon, and perfectly fried egg over medium really hit the spot! Great option for breakfast. They even cater.

Solid sandwich spot! I've been to their DC location, mainly for the speakeasy, but have never actually gotten a sandwich. When I saw they opened in Tyson's, it was my chance! Because honestly I'm not going into DC for some deli meat, you feel me? I got their summer special which is a caprese and prosciutto. Was so good and really filling. Those pieces of mozzarella are thick!!! Their menu is extensive and you can also make your own. I can't wait to try more, especially their mortadella! I also got a cannoli which was so good! Check them out!

I feel terrible that I have not reviewed this place sooner. Their bread is absolutely heavenly. I haven't had a sandwich like this in decades. I have only been there three times but each time we've purchased multiple subs to try and have never been disappointed. It is not an easy location to get to if you are not already in the area, but it is worth the hassle of going a little further off the highway, making a U-turn and fighting for your life to get into this parking lot. Just go order something you will not be disappointed. Don't try to make your own adjustments. They're already perfect thank you to everyone at Capo deli.

Let me start by saying I'm a sandwich snob. Nobody's sandwiches are as good as mine. I take the time to make sure I have evenly spread condiments on all of the bread and am equally careful about the placement of the meat, cheese, and other fillings. Potbelly is alright and Jerseys Mikes is also pretty good, but Capo is the place to be. Don't walk, run to Capo Deli and get their Italian, Chicken Farm or Italian beef sandwich. They are all outstanding.

If you are in this area PLEASE go get a sandwich here. The service is amazing and the food is even better. I had a cuban and it was delicious.

Classic subs that are extraordinary! These sub are full of so many flavors starting from the bread which is super crunchy and soft at the same time. I tried the capo special and it was pure delight. I dont like when subs are too meaty making it salty but this place just got the ratio down. So satisfying i could only eat half. Def place to checkout if you're in the mood for good classic sub w a twist in flavor.

The sandwiches are amazing. Some of the best bread I've had in a while. You can tell they bake it fresh every day. I had very low expectations after seeing the prices of their sandwiches. But the price is justified.

Ordered catering of Capo for the office, and the team was extremely responsive and understood our needs and provided the perfect amount of food. Food was delicious, service was on time, and team was extremely friendly and helpful. Will be ordering again!!

Super friendly staff that was so patient with a first time guest even though they were very busy with online orders. Inside seems small, but there was enough room to sit and there was even a bar. I got the Chicken Fontina with an added balsamic reduction drizzle, it was delicious! The bread was great and you can see them making everything made to order. New favorite sandwich shop in the area!

Stopped in for lunch and was not expecting much since I've tried a bunch of Italian sub places in the area and already have my favorites but this place pleasantly surprised me. I got the Milano large which was honestly two servings for me which worked out great. I wanted the bread to be a little softer than crunchier but overall it was really yummy. While eating there the owner and employees kept giving out free sample for me to try which was an amazing experience. I tried two different pickles, and limited time offer sub, a cinnamon roll, and a pepper relish and cherry peppers. Obviously I know this isn't an everyday experience but it is very obvious that the owners and employees care about their customers. They truly have a "let me take care of you" vibe that I think is hard to come by nowadays. Wish I took pictures but I was too busy eating lol

Came here on a lunch break to try a sandwich. This place had great pictures online so I felt like it would be a good place to try. I ordered my sandwich online for pick-up so it was ready by the time I arrived. Not a particularly large spot as its just a grab and go sandwich shop. I ordered the "Nomz All Day" sub. The sandwich had prosciutto, roast turkey, fresh mozzarella, onions, arugula, dried tomatoes, and balsamic glaze. For $13, I thought my sub would be full of flavor and well-seasoned, however, my sandwich was dry and was not as dense in meat as the pictures online showed. I also ordered the banana bread pudding for $7. The banana bread pudding was just a large chuck of dense banana bread covered with chocolate chips, no pudding. I could not move my spoon through the banana bread as it was so dense. Overall, I would try different sandwich options if I came here again, however, the banana bread pudding was a real disappointment that I would not recommend trying.

August update - portions got smaller and they now charge for toppings that are not lettuce tomato or onions... still a good sub but disappointed by the changes

Sandwiches are amazing. Probably one of the best sandwich places in the area. After we tried Capo for the first time, my boyfriend and I immediately went back the next day to try another sandwich. Shout out to the Capo Special and the Italian. It's also a clean and cute spot. If you eat them there, the sandwiches come on the cute little cutting boards. Also, the sandwiches actually look like how they're photographed to. 5 stars.

Replaced Quiznos. Only tried 3 sandwiches so far, ranges from okay to great. They've got a lot to choose from so I know I'll be back. If you work in the area and stopping by, they've got a full bar tucked away to the side.

Best sandwich I've ever had! Small interior but there's seating with a nice bar. Everyone was very friendly, answered questions and checked in to make sure we were enjoying everything. Can't wait to go back!

Capo deli did not exceed my expectations. Based on the website, and photos I saw online I was anticipating a dense flavorful sandwich full of high quality meat, seasoned and flavored well. Although the length of the sub was fair for the price, the quantity that made up the sandwich was underwhelming. In addition the banana bread pudding was mid. It was too dense, and didn't have the consistency of a bread pudding I was looking for. That soft and creamy consistency I was looking for was not there. It tasted like it was in the refrigerator for a week. The service was good, picked up online, and had no issues. But was expecting more from this place based on their marketing presence online.

Grabbed a few sandwiches. The bread is freshly made onsite. Had the Prosciutto and wife tried chicken cheesesteak. Ready fast and warm and fresh. Like the way staff attends to you and there a few soots to sit inside and eat. Very expansive menu of italian dishes as well as desserts. Cannot wait to come back and try some more

I love Capo deli they make the greatest sandwiches for the past two Fridays I've been going there had the turkey club. It was so fresh takes me back to my childhood been coming here for three years or since it was open I cut Uber out and come here personally myself. This place is five stars. The employees are great the managers extra professional.

Very very good. For the longest time it was only The Italian Store that made a good sandwich in northern Virginia. Now we have a nice grouping of stores that actually make a good solid sandwich. This is my favorite deli around in Tysons. Better than most I've been to in my lifetime. Very high quality ingredients and excellent service. They are also have a small bar in the back...brand new.

Well, according to the menu they had posted on Yelp I went there for the stuffed shells. They didn't have stuffed shells on the menu there. Ok, so then I decided on the Lasagna which was on the menu there. Guess what? No lasagna available either. Really!!! So, I went with the baked ziti as my third choice since it was available. So call ahead time to see what is available before you go there.

The food and staff was amazing! I can't rave enough; I ordered a large thinking "hey I can eat that easy!" I made it half through and it was soooo good but I was also stuffed! In a good way though; I wasn't feeling lazy stuffed I wanted to keep eating cause it was really good but I just couldn't keep eating! LoL! No doubt about it; the second I was hungry again.... I devoured the other half Will be again back again for sure; this is my new go to deli spot! Go give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

The sub place that was in. This spot before was ok. We are there some but not much. Since Capo has opened we have been here more in the short time this has been opened than all the times we had been to the other place. the Philly Roll is amazing. So fresh, and nice crisp outside. My daughter loves the salami sandwich, She asks me if she could have "The Deli" The California cheese steak is out of this world. As is the roast beef sandwich. One of the best cheese stakes I have had and the roast beef, its like a symphony in your mouth. Yes the sandwiches have a lot of lettuce, but I love it. Especially sandwiches with the Italian dressing, there is enough dressing to lightly coat the lettuce to kick up the flavor of the sandwich a notch. The staff is super friendly and helpful and especially Sarah and Nancy. When you walk in here, there is one sign that will tell you that you will get great food. Everyone is smiling, saying hi to you, talking to each other and work great together. Its a nice tight nit team here that make you feel welcome and want you to come back. The the size and shape of the deli, it has a nice ambiance, they have a bar area with good amount of seating and during lunch this place is placed. About 20 years ago there was another Deli which was my favorite, it had closed and had not been able to find another deli that even comes close.. Capo sure does...

First time in the deli. Staff had a little trouble in getting order correct......on a Sunday when it was very slow. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak and it had very little chicken on it. Mgr. asked me what was wrong with the sandwich. I pointed the slight chicken amount to him. He said that was the standard amount but he had the staff add more without question. They addressed my complaint very well. Not the loaded looking instagram pics portrayed. My wife's order was a cheese sandwich with extra American cheese and we paid for the extra. It came with only one slice. They added more when we pointed it out. Below is the pic of the half of my large cheesesteak that I ordered to go. They did not add chicken to this half of my sub. The mgr. said this is the standard amount. I should have checked that before I left.

The meatball sub is pretty amazing! The bread was toasty and not soggy. Not expensive...Would highly recommend!

I went here this past weekend for the first time. It has been on my list to try. I had the capo special (cold sub) and my dad had the summer special- prosciutto caprese. You order at the counter then go sit and the food is brought to you. They do have limited seating along the window, but you can sit at the bar and eat. They also have a cooler with desserts & pasta salads available. The sandwiches did not take long to come out. The portion size was very reasonable for the price. The capo special was so good! I especially loved the italian dressing that comes on it. The owners were there when we went & they were so friendly & accommodating. I would definitely recommending trying their sandwiches.
