The best secret restaurants and bars Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"The theatrics begin right at the door at this mobster-era-themed Italian restaurant. Ring the bell and expect a mafia boss type to slide open a small wooden window and grill you about your purpose there. After he leads you through the side entrance, settle in for a dinner that boasts of pasta with Al Capone’s Family Secret sauces inside a dark restaurant with live music." - Janna Karel

We went to Capo’s Italian Speakeasy for my birthday, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was fun and unique, with live entertainment the night we visited, an Elvis/Tom Jones impersonator that really added to the vibe. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Hands down the best Italian food I’ve ever had. It doesn’t even compare to chain restaurants like Olive Garden, it’s on a whole different level. The arugula salad was fresh and flavorful, the chicken marsala was amazing, and the cucumber martini was the best martini I’ve ever had. Our waiter and the entire staff were wonderful, attentive, kind, fun and made the evening feel special. I’d give this place 5 stars without hesitation and would absolutely come back next time I’m in Vegas. The only downside? They don't have a location in my home state!

Capo’s is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sets the tone for something special — but I won’t spoil the surprise. Let’s just say it’s more than just dinner; it’s an experience. The décor is rich with character, with striking photos on the walls that add to the old-school charm. There’s entertainment throughout the night, making the evening lively and memorable. Service-wise, the staff was excellent — attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to making sure we were well taken care of. Now, onto the food. Everything we tried was fantastic. The Chicken Marsala, in particular, was a standout — rich, savory, and perfectly prepared. For dessert, the cannolis were easily some of the best I’ve ever had, and the tiramisu was absolutely phenomenal. If you're looking for a place with great Italian food, a unique vibe, and top-notch service, Capo’s should be at the top of your list.

Really had a great time took pictures of the menu, but forgot to take pictures of our food. It was just that good authentic taste of Italy. This is definitely a must try for everyone young and old. The atmosphere was great as well as we were entertained by there lounge act. He was really good. Will definitely be back, I have to try the desserts next time . Thanks for the experience and the hospitality.

Google
It was a good overall experience. I get its Vegas and things are supposed to be fun but I’m not a huge fan of the speakeasy concept or having to wait in the heat for someone to let me in. My focus is on the food. Some people might enjoy the speakeasy concept and entertainment aspects of this place much more than me. The place is cool looking and kept a little dark. The host and staff were friendly, and the food came out quick. The food was good, not great. Ma’s meatball and sausage was a unique dish. It had some spicy sauce that had a lot of flavor. The meatball was above average, but not exceptional.. The sausage was probably the best part of the meal. It was authentic Italian sausage that was juicy and had a zesty flavor. Santucci’s spaghetti was okay. The red sauce is good, but not great. It came with a full piece of sausage. The portion sizes are massive so think about sharing. They had a Sinatra style singer playing in the lounge and taking requests, which was a nice touch. You could still have a conversation at the table. My major complaint is the tables to the side of the bar are situated so you are eerily and uncomfortably close to the people on the other side of the wall in the dining room. If you turn your head, you are staring in someone’s face. The prices are on the low end. I would probably go back because they really did try to make sure we had a great and fun experience.

Google
A really great night! A really nice atmosphere. It's small with a live singer and lots of people talking, so it's a little loud, if loud bothers you. It's very dim lit but plenty of light on table to see food and drinks... The food was amazing 😍 and the Italian margarita was sweet and delicious. It's not for kids, leave them at home.

Google
What an amazing place! We were told about this and decided to try it and we were NOT disappointed! The food was awesome(Lasagna) and the vibe was a throwback to "old vegas." There was a lounge singer that was awesome and just the overall experience was totally awesome. The staff was entertaining and attentive, please check it out! 5*****

My father and I went to this restaurant during our trip to Las Vegas. Our reservation was for 5 PM, but they let us sit at 4 PM, which was great. We both ordered the chicken Parmesan and absolutely loved it — the “Capone Family Secret” sauce was easily the best sauce we’ve ever had. The chicken was perfectly cooked and breaded. Although it was supposed to come with spaghetti, they served us penne instead since they hadn’t made the spaghetti yet, but honestly, I’d probably choose the penne again next time because it was so good. The staff was super friendly, and we loved the woman singing classics throughout the night. The speakeasy theme was amazing too. The only downside was how dark the restaurant was — we needed to use our phone flashlights to read the menu — but aside from that, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Google
This place is for sure an experience and worth the trip off strip. The staff was all wonderful. The setting is really nice, dark, and felt special. The singer was very good and added to the ambiance of the place. The prices are fair and when considering the amount of food received, a long with the ambiance and amazing staff, it's definitely worth it We ordered a few drinks and they were all good. We got the sausage appetizer and it was a standout. The Caesar salad was good though the chicken we added was a bit uninspired. The spaghetti and meatballs, well, we're good but the sauce was just okay. There's a lot of garlic flavor, which is fine, but the sauce ate a bit sweet and that's not our preference. Someone else might eat this and think it was the best sauce ever, and I get that. My wife is Italian I put her sauces over most so I'm very biased. I also understand that criticizing and Italian's sauce is dangerous, but it is what it is. Overall this was a top notch experience and I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
I cannot imagine a better dining experience! Capo's is set up as an authentic 1920's style speak easy, complete with hidden entrances and secret doors. The experience would have been enough if it ended there but that was only the beginning. The food is no less than fantastic and authentic Italian cuisine and we are certainly foodie snobs when it comes to authenticity. The lounge singer entertainer (Larry) provided throwback tunes from the 60's, 70's and 80'with plenty of audience participation. This was our first visit to Capo's but we will now make it a regular stop on our trips to Vegas..

Yelp
OMG !!! what a fabulous experience from top to bottom! we were surprised by our secret greeting thru a magical wizard of Oz door! with a guy saying what-a-want! lol. so much fun and what a great first impression! then greeted by our waiter FRANCISCO! he was charming and so on top of his game we love our interaction all thru the night! he was the best ! great recommendations on the food and it was out of this world! by far the best meal I have had in years, so creamy, bursting with flavor, temperature of the food was hot and mouth watering! Bravo to the chef! just absolutely incredible. then to have Bob singing thru our entire meal was such an old school feeling having him sing Frank's old tunes was magic! speaking of magic we were total blessed to have Wayne the magician arrive at our table to blown us away with is art of magic! wow. still talking about it. I absolutely loved the entire experience from start to finish! the cost of such an outstanding experience is well worth it! this is now what I will tell all our friends about when they adventure to your lovely town Las Vegas! thank you to the entire CAPO'S staff for banging it out of the park

Yelp
This place has been on my list for a while. I am absolutely happy that we finally were able to visit this restaurant while on a trip to Vegas. Wonderful service. The ambiance is elegant. Live music and big food servings. We had the lasagna and the chicken parm. That was amazing. I definitely recommend anyone looking for the real Vegas feel to visit this place.

Yelp
Definitely exciting coming in. Don't want to ruin it for the first timers. You're for sure going to have to adjust to the darkness inside tho. We all had to bust out phones out to read the menu. Server was helpful but was very quick about everything, getting drinks in and food right away. I went with the shrimp scampi. I was tasty just had to add a pinch of salt. The bread for the table was good with the pasta. Drinks were ok. But the live music sure was nice. Overall different from other restaurants which was cool.

Yelp
We were in Vegas for a convention and a buddy recommended this place. We decided to give it a try. I ordered the Scarface Shrimp Shampi. I will start with the good, the dish was very lemony. So if you like lemon, this dish is for you. Unfortunately for me, the lemon was a bit overwhelming. I couldn't really taste the butter, garlic or wine sauce. The portions were a bit on the small size. I left the place still hungry. For $33, it was a bit pricy for me. Another member of my party for the Fredo's Wise Guy Alfredo and while he said the meal was delicious, he also stated the portions were also smaller than expected especially for it being $26. We ordered the side of bread ($2.50). I asked if the bread was enough for a table of 4 and the waiter assured it was plenty of bread so we ordered just one portion. Well it was barely any bread and we each got two small slices each. The bread was delicious and fresh out of the oven though so that was good. The ambience was dark and pretty loud. There was a live performer singing so that was a nice touch. But it was so loud, I couldn't hear myself think, let alone try to have a conversation at the table. Overall, it was an average experience. For the price, I think I will skip this place next time.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! When I make it back to Vegas, Capo's is a must stop food visit for sure! Ok so I only took a picture of my food - but give me grace because I did sample everyone's food in my party and it was sooooo good. One may argue that you can't go wrong with a salad, but that is untrue. I'm a salad dressing snob, the dressing and what you add to a salad is what makes it either meh or whoa - and mine was a big whoa! Just delicious. The pasta entree that the wife got was delicious and so was the other pasta meal that our friend got. The drinks were amazing. And so was the customer service! Nice, dark atmosphere with live music. Easy to find - just look for the entrance sign hahahahaha.
google avatar

Felicia K.

Yelp
It's sooo dark in here at first it's a bit spooky. When I first walked in I thought I needed a code to put in the pay phone to get in. I suddenly saw and rung the doorbell and a gentleman let me in. I sat at the bar and was greeted by Jeremy. He made a delicious Italian margarita for me and gave outstanding customer service. Tommy was very personable and customer oriented as well. He ended up dropping rose petals on me while I was there lol it was so random but cool. I had the Caesar salad and the Clams fettuccine pasta. The pasta was basically soup the sauce was so watery. My salad was just alright too. Bobby performed and it was quite enjoyable. I'd come back again for drinks and entertainment.

Yelp
Fabulous!! Great experience! Walk in thru a door and ringed a bell. On another wall a budas window opens. Guys asks you what you want and tell him u have a reservation. Then another door opens to let in. Doesn't even look like a door. Love it! Pretty dark but cozy. They have an entrainer singing old music. Was severed water with bread and butter. Ordered their Capos cosmo. Very good. Looks darker than what a cosmo usually is. Also has the blood orange and dirty martinis. Both very good and would recommend. They are famous for the house meatball and sauce. This is a must. Meatballs cooked perfectly. The sauce was so delicious with a little heat. Also ordered their Capos cosmo calamari. So good. Cooked perfectly with not too much breading with peperoncini and a Mariana dipping sauce. Hubs had the boneless ribeye. Cooked medium well in a garlic butter sauce. So tender and very flavorful. Served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Blacken chicken Alfredo. Sauce so creamy and so delicious with the man made fettuccine noodles. Chicken cooked so tender. Banana chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was so delicious. Moist and paired well with the ice cream and whipped cream. This was such a great experience and will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
Can't say enough about my new home when visiting Vegas! Brought a first-timer with me tonight and he had the Spaghetti and Meatball which he said was the best he has ever had! Dave was performing tonight and he always does such an incredible job! I love the vibe here! Service? Never a problem here! I keep settling on the sawed-off sausage and peppers which is also incredible. The meatball appetizer are a must as is the bruschetta.

Yelp
What went well ? Everything! Food, Music, Service and more! Truly enjoyed our dining experience at Capos! It's a Speakeasy so figure it out and you'll get let in! Male a reservation because it gets busy here! Sit back, enjoy your cocktail and listen to fgs live music! For starters, we had the ravioli, meatballs and calamari! All amazing! Salad came next then our entrees & desserts that did NOT disappoint! If you're a local, come on over! If you are visiting, come on over! Loved it!

Yelp
There's a Cowboy Rodeo event in LV and the airport, hotel, and restaurant were packed with 5 gallon hats. Despite this we were seated on time and maybe service was a little slow, but the table to table singer and magician filled in the time. We had the Meatballs to start. Very moist and 1/2 lb each. Lots of bolognese sauce. Excellent. Then we had the Fettuccini and Shrimp Alfredo and the Eggplant Parmesan. Both large portions and nicely done. Rather amazing given how crowded it was. Oh and the sangria. It was our style. Amazing. We've gone to LV for 40 years and never found this place. Don't miss the fun and food.

Yelp
Nutshell, speakeasy style restaurant with a speakeasy style entrance. Great low-light ambience. Staff is in character and joke around with you. Food was great. A very good and basic italian menu. We loved everything we ordered. They had a card magician walking around. He was great. Live music and it created a nice experience. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Very speakeasy vibe! The food was amazing, the service was average, the entertainment was good, but something that I just can't put my finger on was lacking... Ziggy, the doorman, made the evening for me! Very nondescript building, follow the instructions once you enter the foyer. You enter in to the bar area - the open kitchen is directly behind and it was fun to watch the business of the line cooks! The appetizers were good, but not great. The lasagna however, was AMAZING. There were two lounge singers who each had a great voice, sound, and presence. The variety of songs they sang was good, as they touched on all genre's. Will definitely go back if given the opportunity!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere & food! The live music/singer is really good. Great place to just sit at the bar and have a drink.

Yelp
I cannot believe I had never heard of Capos before the night we went! There is an entrance...and boy is it a fun entrance! Then the exit opposite of that. Small stage in the back with a great singer and not loud at all, you can still have conversation with the people at your table...always a plus!! Service was great for a Friday night! The host and the waiter were friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The drinks and the food....delicious!!! There were 4 of us and we shared the meatball app, but each had a different dish...everyone loved their food. I liked that the piccata didn't come with much, garlic mashed potatoes on the side (which really good, but didn't finish), the sauce on the piccata was flavorful and not overly rich, just very enjoyable. The ravioli, luckily my husband gave me a bite and glad he did - the sauce and the ravioli were great, the ravioli was stuffed just enough! The meatballs are large and were enough for us to split, because add the bread to soak up the sauce and you're golden!! I would love to go back and try other options as well and the dessert!! Thankful to now know about Capos! Better late than never!
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
The appetizers were delicious, the main dish we ordered was okay, not spectacular. It was a fun experience, the ambiance is loud and pleasant, coming here is more for the speakeasy experience. The service could have been better, the bussers were very nice and attentive, our waiter on the other hand seemed to be too busy to pay attention to us. But it was a fun experience Food 4/5 Service 3/5

Yelp
Capo's is an experience like no other! From the moment you walk in, you're transported to an old-school Italian setting where everyone, from the servers to the staff, sticks to their roles perfectly. The ambiance is spot-on, making you feel like you're part of a classic Italian story. The food was absolutely fantastic--every bite was delicious. The live music added to the atmosphere, and having a magician walk around to entertain guests was a unique and fun touch. My only wish is that they offered complementary bread for the table to complete the experience. Overall, Capo's is a must-visit in Vegas for great food and an unforgettable dining experience!

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - Chop House Cioppino $70 - Wow, I mean WOW! One of the best cioppinos I have had in my life! And I am lucky enough to have had a few. Generous seafood; a whole lobster tail which must have been at least 7-8 oz. The menu did not share it as a whole lobster tail, what a pleasant surprise. Cream red sauce, which is different from my usual cioppinos. I was surprised I was able to finish all this; it was that good. Special, Lobster Ravioli with 7oz Lobster Tail $90 - Good, again a generous tail. My buddy also said he was able to taste the lobster in the raviolis. Dessert Dillinger's Cannolis $13 - My buddy really liked this. I took a very small bite as my cioppino was very filling. Crispy shell, good filling, etc. And plenty of wine... $14 a glass. Atmosphere - Cool. Speakeasy. You enter a 7 x 7 enclosed room, and then are given a hard time before going in. You get asked for a password, etc. My buddy followed the family in front of us, trying to be slick and boy did he get ripped. I enjoyed every minute of it, LOL. Once you get in, the bathrooms are straight ahead of the interior entrance behind the bead curtain. Then you go through a very long row/hall of tables with the bar to your right, and semi private room to your left. Lastly, the stage was surrounded by tables, booths, etc. We got seated right in front of the entertainment. Way to close for my liking... See up close picture of today's amazing entertainer. We asked to move, and then got the best table! Perfect center locations. Not too close, but not too far and it was better lit for me as an old blind person, LOL. Open 7 days a week from 4pm to 10pm or 11pm. Service - 4 stars. My favorite part was watching everyone trying to get into the speakeasy and I was glad I was not a part of the joke. The wait staff was good, etc. Price - $241 + generous tip. Expensive but worth it! Actually, I think it is inexpensive for what we got! Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1964?!?! How is it that I have not heard about you...? Oh, that's right, you are a speakeasy, LOL. If you followed my February trip, we also went on a speakeasy run/kick. :) Lastly, congrats on all your other businesses.

Yelp
FOOD MOOD: CAPOS RESTAURANT & SPEAKEASY, we went here at this little gem with friends and wow let me tell you from the ambiance of walking into a frank Sinatra concert to the freshly made pasta? Wowie... did we have a great time with LIVE entertainment. Their sangria is great and their raspberry margarita woah, . I felt right at home in a beautiful Italian atmosphere all we were missing was the mob jk. Their meatballs were a little sweet..... was that allspice I could taste? Not my favorite but I still enjoyed, their arugula salad was very tasty loved the dressing. The raviolis were amazing and I loved the vodka pink sauce it is out of this world, The Chicken Piccata no complaints just So good. I can't wait to come back soon, from your favorite Italian former "Coppola" chefs kiss MWAH... Thanks Capos!

Yelp
Fun place with very good food and live entertainment. Entering here takes you back in time. We had the chicken primavera and the fettuccine Alfredo. Both were delicious and a perfect sized portion. The place is nice for a couple or even a group. The only downside is that it is a bit dark.
google avatar

Jay A.

Yelp
OK, so here we have an intriguing concept. Before you go to Capos, you must make a reservation, and get a password, otherwise you may have some difficulty getting in. But once you are in, you are in for a treat. I can't remember the last place I was at that had live music. Let me rephrase that, tasteful good music. A crooner singing standers what more could you ask for? How about great food, you got it. Capos is just a tad off the beaten track, but well worth the trip. I'll see you there, or maybe not, it's really dark inside. Live it up you are in Las Vegas for cryin' out loud!
google avatar

Natasha W.

Yelp
One of my favorite Italian restaurants on top of it being a speakeasy. The joy of both worlds. I took my mom for her birthday. It was her first speakeasy. She didn't know what to expect. The restaurant was a little dark for her liking. However she did enjoy the live music. The drinks were delicious and just strong enough. We arrived early and sat the bar. The host came and got us once our table was ready. We had a great view of stage and not too crowded. Definitely will be returning!

Yelp
Wife and I came into town for work this week and hit up another couple we hadn't seen in awhile. Our friend recommended this spot and let me just say that my bro understood the mf'ing assignment!!! My wife ordered the Santucci's Pasta with both meatball and sausage and I ordered Uncle Pauly's Arrabiata. Our friends ordered a lasagna and veal parmigiana. Santucci's Pasta: Wife had been craving spaghetti, so this was perfect. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was SO flavorful and well-balanced. The meatball was AMAZING. The sauce clung to the pasta. Every bite was just so damn addicting. Uncle Pauly's Arrabiata: I wasn't exactly in the mood for penne, but I wasn't exactly against it either, so I said screw it - send it. Best decision I've made in a long time. Again, EXCELLENT sauce. Spicy? Not exactly, but you can definitely "taste" the essence of the spice if that makes sense. The penne was cooked to perfection. We also tried the lasagna and veal and it was so good. SOOO good. The service was excellent. All of the staff was very friendly and personable. It is very dark in here. Like, the episode from Spongebob where he goes to Rock Bottom: ADVANCED darkness. But not that it's a bad thing anyway. I personally enjoyed it. The only disappointing part was the bill. Wish they let you know adding doing both meatball AND sausage would be extra on the description of the dish itself, but that's my fault since I skipped the top part of the menu. Just a heads up for other people. They also charged for the bread which was kinda wack and my wife's espresso martini was a little more extra because she opted for a chocolate liqueur instead of the regular one. Anyway, we took back a decent amount to the hotel room. After drinking and hanging out with my boss at the blackjack table, I couldn't wait to go back and finish the leftovers with my wife. Even eating cold out of a styrofoam box it was still just as delicious!
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Very cool speakeasy. Secret entrance- with a password. Live mob style music. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. Service was good, we had a very large party, and they handled it well.
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars and let me tell you why! First, it's a ways of the strip, so you don't have to deal with any Vegas Strip nonsense. From the beginning, you walk into a time warp, I won't give away the entrance fun! But let me tell you, get into character and act like Paulie or Lefty. We had a big group as we came for a business dinner. It's so cool inside, the live singer was a great touch too and if you're lucky he'll come over and serenade the girls at the table. The food...amazing! We started with the meatball and peppers app as well as the fried ravioli's for the table. They were a hit. Both were amazing! MUST GETS! Entrees ranged for everybody, but I can tell you my Capo Parm was so good. Wrapped it up with the cannoli desert. Amazing! You get two different flavors too. All in all a huge hit food wise, atmosphere and service. We never had to wait for drinks, food was timely and the waiters act in character as well.

Jay G.

Yelp
Absolute love this place a great date night scene ,live music is really fun a little on the loud side for that genre of music but the service and food are great loved the shrimp scampi and pesto ravioli
google avatar

Vanessa D.

Yelp
WOW!! Where do I begin? this place is amazing. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp tortellini and it was phenomenal. I wish I could buy a whole tub of the pink sauce. I was shocked at the price, but once I saw the dish it was well worth it. The portion is large, I have a big appetite and I still had leftovers. 10/10 service, ambiance and food. Loved the live singer!
google avatar

Yelp
What an amazing restaurant and experience! Theming is impeccable with a warm, low light setttng! Mob themed dishes adds an amazing appeal to this restaurant. Waiters are very attentive and there when you need them without crowding your space and experience! One of THE BEST Lemon Drop Martinis I've had to date! Though I failed to get a photo of it, it was amazing! From the speak easy themed entrance to the decor, this place offers such a unique experience from entry to the live entertainment and food! Very low light/intimate setting for evening visits. Wonderful fully stocked bar too!
google avatar

Kristy W.

Yelp
We had a great time here, there was 6 of us, our friends made the reservations and they came early so how long the wait was I don know. From the time we entered the front door ( was greater by the mobster through the peep door ) until we left, we were happily entertained! Magician, singer on the stage by the bar, the host that came around several times to check on us. Keep in mind this an old time Mobster atmosphere and they do it very well! We sat by the bar and real close to the singer on stage so it was very loud wich made it difficult to talk to our friends who we hadn't seen for about a year. Knowing this will help you make a decision if you want to experience this place. The food is really tasty and good!
google avatar

Matteo S.

Yelp
Capos is definitely not what it use to be. We were the third table in and we have been waiting an HOUR and counting for our food. For what this place charges now that's absurd. Been coming here for years but this is likely the last time

Beth T.

Yelp
I just tried to call for information on entertainment. As I've never been there before, I asked if they ever have jazz music. The guy that answered the phone said, "Just get her and figure it out Ma'am. Very RUDE place. I will never go there.

Channing E.

Yelp
Best Italian food I've ever had! The hostess Bobby is the BEST!!! The atmosphere is amazing. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Doug B.

Yelp
This place is a little confusing and it is quite noisy and dark, but the food is fantastic and the service was awesome. If you're looking for a speakeasy-type place that is off the strip and you like large portions of Italian food, this is a place for you. You enter from the back of the building into a vestibule where you'll have to be permitted into the main restaurant. I had a reservation and had to state my name when asked what I wanted. I don't know what it looks like if you are just a walk in. We were given a temporary seat at the bar and ordered drinks before being led to our table. The bar has a lot more light than the main restaurant area. Also, put your phone away. This is a speakeasy and they don't take kindly to people having their phones out -- and they are not shy in reminding you. I advise listening to the servers when they make suggestions. I would have gone with something that had red sauce, but I was wearing a white dress shirt and thought that might be a bad idea so I ordered a carbonara that was fantastic. The pasta was perfectly made and cooked and the dish had a lot of flavor. I highly recommend the garlic cheese bread and fried ravioli as starters. Both are served with a pink sauce (the garlic bread says vodka sauce while the ravioli just says pink sauce) The waitstaff constantly checked in with us and let us split our check. The place is not inexpensive, but it is an experience and we had a good time.

Yelp
This is the most fun place I've been to date. The staff were hilarious and really made the experience incredible. The food was absolutely delicious and please try the sangria! Live music was fun and a nice touch to a perfect night. I've been telling everyone to go here so you should too!

Yelp
Food was awesome. Service was amazing. Live entertainment crooner was great. Going in the door made it so enjoyable.

Yelp
Great food and Sangrias! A little pricey, but I thought it was worth it! The meatballs were amazing, but there are peppers in the sauce and they were spicey. Again, I loved it, but my mom did not because it was too spicey she thought.

Yelp
No spoilers! Just make sure you get there when it's dark and no other customer is at the entrance to get the full experience of getting in. It's definitely suspenseful and dramatic. My reservation is at 6:45PM and it's already bustling when we got in so make sure to book a spot before heading there. It's also dimly lit so have your glasses and/or flashlights ready to read the menus. I recommend the Ma's Meatballs and Peppers! It's definitely a 5/5 in terms of taste and size. It's already a meal. I also thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary bread and butter. The steak was huge and comes with mashed potatoes and veggies. A lot of steakhouses in Vegas now make you pay extra for those sides. The risotto that comes with the delicious Mad Dog Marsala was tasty. The sangria was alright. The music was perfect for the theme and not overly loud. Now, in every place I had booked where I stated the special occasion and the reason why we're dining out, they made sure we were seated in a more comfortable spot and we were also given a dessert with greetings on it. It didn't happen at Capo's. We were seated at a small round table right across from the bar and right next to the exit doors so people were opening doors and/standing by us as they were waiting to exit/ get seated.

Yelp
Such a great night celebrating my daughter's birthday. We enjoyed everything that we ordered and we didn't skimp. The entertainment was spot on. We've been here a few times, but this was definitely the most fun. The host, servers, singer, and magic man were entertaining and fun. We couldn't have asked for a better evening.

Yelp
Forget about it!!! Let me first start off by saying that this is my third time coming here & it just gets better every time. My overall experience was 5 star from the beginning to the end. From the greeting at the secret doorway to the exit I was in awe. Our waiter Francisco knew the meaning of service & was top notch, we never had to ask for drink refills, the bread was nice & warm & the food came fast & hot. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy. The steaks were so damn tender, flavorful & mouth watering. It felt like we were in an old school mafia lounge with the dark room & dimly lit lamps at every table. The extremely talented lounge singer belting out the classics from Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett all night really set the mood. This is by far one of the coolest places to eat in Vegas & I can't wait to come back. Make sure you make a reservation as they are very busy.

Yelp
We went for our anniversary dinner. Once we got through the password area(we didn't know what to say) we were seated up front near the stage. Waiter was attentive and food was good. We'd like to bring friends back and maybe not sit next to the stage for a different experience.

Yelp
Sure, there is better Italian food out there, but I have never had an experience like the one I had at Capo's. The dim lights, live crooner, decor, and photographs will transport you 100 years back in time. The menu was a bit overwhelming for me, so our server recommended we begin with the meatballs and peppers, and I was not disappointed. We ordered the chicken parmigiana and blackened shrimp carbonara for our main entrees. They were both good, but I have to admit that all of the meats were very dry and overcooked. One star removed because they sat us at the bar upon entering while our table was being prepared. Our drinks were $25 each there, but $12 at the table. I felt so disrespected. If you're in Vegas, definitely put Capo's on the itinerary - especially if you love the prohibition era. It's only a 20 minute ride off the strip and has so much more to offer than food.

Yelp
Nora's, CHICA, Yardbird, Ramen Sora - none of those places have squat on Capo's!!! This place is AMAZING! The food was delicious and I loved the set up! Our server, Patricia, was a sweetheart and took great care of us! The singer had a beautiful voice and could perform a wide range of songs. Even the doorman was in character, with his "attitude" of not wanting to let us in! The portions are pretty big so you may want to share but craziest thing we noticed was the best place in Vegas was the cheapest, just WOW! We enjoyed the lasagna, the meatballs and the house soup, we weren't able to finish it all! 1000% will be coming back when we make our way back to LV!

Yelp
I've always wanted to attend a speak easy! If you've never been to one, I recommend checking one out. This one was my first and it was great! You enter thru a door followed by a phone booth. It was dark in there, but very nice. We were greeted by the host who was funny. We sat down in a corner booth and had a perfect view of the stage. They had a singer there and she had a great voice. Reminded me of Amy Winehouse. We ordered a couple of cocktails which were good. I didn't want to do appetizers since they seem to have large portions. They start you off with some bread and garlic butter and oh my it was heaven! Hubby ordered the famous lasagna and I asked for whatever our waiter recommended. He recommended the lobster ravioli. Now I thought that the lobster was going to be inside the ravioli but it was a full tale. It was delicious. We did not get dessert but they had recommended the lava cake, instead I ordered a chocolate espresso martini. They are a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it!

Yelp
The service was fantastic, However the food was bland. ( spaghetti marinara, Chicken Marsala). The lasagna was the best out of the 3 dishes.

Yelp
Sadly - a very disappointing experience. I was in town on business back in October and wanted to take one of my nieces - who is a local - out to dinner. I left the restaurant choice to her and she selected Capo's - one of her favorites. Having gone online beforehand to get an idea of their menu, I read the rave reviews and was really looking forward to going there. When we arrived, another party was entering in front of us - so we missed the whole "secret password to open the secret door" speakeasy routine that people seem so impressed with. The host wasn't particularly welcoming or friendly and told us there would be a 15 minute delay for our 6:15 reservation to honored. Okay - that happens. But no matter how busy you might be and no matter how many people might come through your door - if you're the host, you need to have a friendly, positive, welcoming attitude towards each guest and treat everyone like a valued customer. I certainly didn't get that vibe. We were finally seated at the table closest to the entrance - so throughout our meal we had people passing by and bumping our booth - not fun. We were also so far away from the main dining area that it was impossible to hear whatever entertainment they had going there - sounded like a singer, but we literally could hear nothing over the noise of the place. Also it is so dark, I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu. Other reviews mentioned a "mob ambiance," staff attired in mob outfits, something playing on TV screens, and the wonderful entertainment. We got none of that - zero. A friendly waiter came over to take our order. We were only to see him again once more as he was not the one who ultimately served us. For a shared appetizer, my niece recommended "Ma's Meat Balls & Peppers", described on the menu as "Capo's famous homemade Italian meatballs with Capo's famous Capone Family Secret Sauce sautéed with peppers" ($18.95) They lived up to her hype and were delicious. For our entrees, I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana ($29.95) and she had the Lasagna ($29.95). The portions were enormous - so much so that I left over almost half to be taken home by my niece. I would describe the food as "good" - not great - certainly nothing to write home about. My chicken parmigiana was luke-warm, not hot at all. Wait staff was busy and it took forever to get a refill on my water. We were in and out in less than an hour - which I imagine they appreciated because there was a wait for tables. All told - as I said at the beginning of this review - a very disappointing experience: dark, noisy, food was mediocre, especially given the prices; service not so great; and where we were seated was pretty awful. Reading the positive reviews, perhaps my less-than-stellar experience was not typical - and I might have considered another visit to Capo's on my next Vegas trip - but with so many eating options in Las Vegas, probably not.

Yelp
We LOVED this place! It's definitely an experience to be had when in Vegas. Great food, ambiance, live music, wine, and history. Go there and you'll thank me.
