French restaurant Marché Bacchus launches a daily brunch | Eater Vegas

"According to the report, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop acquired the chain, inspired by late-night snacking while the founders were in college at the University of Florida in the ’90s." - Susan Stapleton

Never been into the shop, but was in this shopping center for some errands. Stopped in for something for a late lunch. I am a turkey sandwich person, so I was delighted to see the Homemade Turkey sandwich on their menu. I ordered the 8-inch with white bread. I asked for black olives and pickles instead of their standard options. Dr. Pepper fountain drink + baked chips to round out my meal. I will be coming back for this meal in the future for sure.

I ordered a cheesesteak and The Bobbie Homemade Turkey online, with extra cranberry sauce and stuffing but specifically requested NO MAYO. Unfortunately, when I got home, The Bobbie had mayonnaise on it. I tried calling the restaurant to address the issue but was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. I am unable to drive back and would like to receive the correct order or my money back. Overall, the cheesesteak was good but the mistake with the mayo was disappointing as I can’t eat my sandwich and the customer service could be improved being left on hold over 10 minutes. There is no contact on the site where the order was placed.

Google
Caps is the place to go in Delco if you want a hoagie. I'm a vegetarian but their menu includes vegetarian hoagies and their fantastic. I get the vegetarian turkey hoagie. The menu offers other veg items that I will have to try in the future.

Google
The chicken bacon ranch sandwich is one of the best sandwich’s I’ve ever had. The best part is they triple checked my order to make sure it was correct before I left. Will definitely be back!

Google
My experience here was so amazing! The food was absolutely incredible! My barbecue chicken cheesesteak with coleslaw was the absolute best! And the service especially the manager was so hospitable!! The saddest part about my visit is that I live 12 mi away 😩💯.

Rick L.

Google
Always the best sandwiches available. I love their roast beef while the wife loves the Bobby. You just can't go wrong here.

Greta H.

Google
Perfect. Drove out of town to go here. Still perfect. So happy they have veggie turkey. Will go any chance I get. Wish we had a location in the Poconos.

Koran N.

Google
Every time I come here I get stared at by the employees like I have 3 heads or something. Nobody greets me until I stare back at them. I walked up to the register and the kid was on his phone ignoring me even though he saw me walk in. I’m black by the way, and my black coworkers who go there have shared similar experiences with me. If you wanna hand these people your money go ahead but I will no longer be doing so. It’s 2025.

Yelp
It's expensive but their sandwiches are tasty and large, so at least you get what you pay for. I actually love their unique french fries, which are thin and crispy. Good spot if you need something on the go.

Susan L.

Yelp
Ordered a steak sandwich on line, arrived at time predicted only to find out my sandwich not even on the grill! Waited for the sandwich, roll was delightful the meat was mushy. Never again! Disorganized, messy, dirty counters with Dim lighting . Not a good look

Jacob D.

Yelp
Food is always delicious and we make sure to stop everytime we come up to visit. I wish they would add gravy to the Hot Bobbie, just to take it to the next level.

Yelp
Way too expensive for a mid convenient store quality hoagie. You would think there would be more meat and cheese for the price paid.

Yelp
I won't deny that the impossible cheese steak was delicious literally the best I really have ever had!!!!!, but do know I suffered afterwards because they cook everything on the same grill, I know some places that separate the impossible foods and this is not one of them, so eat an impossible hot sub at your own risk.
google avatar

Clarissa V.

Yelp
Great cheesesteak and chicken cheesesteaks and the Thanksgiving turkey one forgot what it's called My sis always craves this place when we're headed to the beach

Jennifer A.

Yelp
I feel like they're Phoning in the Bobby last two times I've ordered one. The stuffing was terrible and the turkey is not quality pieces.

Kevin C.

Yelp
The sandwich was very overpriced. I had hardly any meat on it, which had very little taste. I asked for sweet peppers on it and they put about six pieces on a 18 inch roll six pieces of sweet pepper. And they had the audacity to charge me $23. I gave him 25 and he put it in the register and didn't give me any change. I had to ask for it. Won't be back there Capriotti's in Downingtown.

Yelp
Tonight's dinner in bed series. First time trying, here we have a wagyu cheesesteak. I believe a good cheesesteak always start with the bread and should have some bite and texture to it. This one way too tender, I guess it being wagyu explains the way it just melted in your mouth. I'm glad I did try it to know the difference, but future references, stick with the classic cheesesteak. Happy eating, endless cheat days

Yelp
My favorite item to get from Capriotti's is the Bobbie-which is always good. But at THIS location, there's always great, friendly, courteous customer service and that definitely takes things up a notch! Everyone is so nice!

Chris V.

Yelp
Ordered a hot Bobbie and received a cheesesteak, y'all need to read the orders correctly
google avatar

Lewin B.

Yelp
Super good!! The Wagyu cheesesteak is no joke and definitely the best thing I've had there. Also the staff is very very nice, so that's awesome. Also tons of parking. I will return for sure.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
I hate to give 1 star, so I won't. Maybe their other sandwiches are better. But they really almost deserve it for this one. I ordered the Bobbie. Excited to see it since I love the WAWA gobbler and it's obviously off season so I wanted to try it. Needless to say, it looked like someone ate my sub and spit it back up onto the bread. And it didn't taste any better.
google avatar

Jamie H.

Yelp
Great service! Great sandwiches! Wide variety of items to choose from. Wagyu beef and Butterball Turkey sandwiches are the stars!

Jessica M.

Yelp
My husband has been ordering from here for a while, but I had personally never actually had something from there until today. The food was amazing, but I'm giving it two stars because of an extremely rude and awkward customer service experience that I had. I'm leaving this review mostly so one particular worker sees it. not the one that was rude to me, but the one who was very kind and courteous in the face of the other worker's rude behavior. I work part time doing DoorDash and an order brought me into this establishment today. As soon as I walked in, I acknowledged the people working behind the counter with a smile and "how you doing?" I was met with an adverted gaze. They completely ignored me. OK, whatever I've been in Philly/Philly suburbs a long time, I know not everyone is super courteous in these sandwich shops. So I get in line to pick up my DoorDash order and the guy behind the till very courteously asks me if it's a pick up order. I tell him yes, DoorDash and he says "one moment." About 20 seconds later he has a sandwich wrapped up in one hand and my DoorDash order in the other and says to me "hey, do you like such-and-such sandwich? We made an extra one and it's going to go in the trash if you don't take it." What he didn't know was that I hadn't actually eaten yet at that point and was starving. I thanked him and even said "you know it's so funny, I was just standing here thinking this food smelled so good and I would have to come in here another time and grab a sandwich! Don't worry, I'll still come in another time for my own order." Before I could even completely finish my statement, one of the rude people who completely ignored me when I first walked in interjected, took the sandwich out of his hand and says with a very grumpy tone "you can't just give it to her. You have to ring it up a certain way." The entire time averting my gaze. The nice guy goes "we were going to throw it away anyway." And she goes "I know, but you have to, put it in the system..." It was so awkward! The guy giving me the sandwich was extremely professional and kind and courteous and honestly, he was exhibiting great customer service skills. The woman who interjected treated him like he was an idiot, made me feel completely alienated and left a really bad taste in my mouth. I definitely got the vibe from her like I was just a DoorDash runner, not a customer and why is he being so nice to me... of course she doesn't realize I live 10 minutes from this sandwich shop and had every intention of coming back and patronizing the establishment myself. The sandwich was amazing! I actually ate it in the car on my way to drop off the order I had just picked up. I'm totally bummed out by that crappy interaction with the woman behind the counter, but I really hope that the sweet young man who originally offered me the sandwich sees this. You did absolutely nothing wrong and she was awful. I worked in food service for many years and I would have never treated an employee or a customer the way she did.

Yelp
[650] This Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is located in a large strip mall near Staples. Tons of parking. Inside is very clean with tons of seating. Self serve fountain drink and tons of chip choices. The staff was really nice and helpful. Very friendly to my son which was great. The grill was open to the customers which is nice to see. Chicken cheesesteak was VERY good. I would definitely come back for this sandwich again. Regular cheesesteak - eh not a fan. It felt salty? not sure if that's right but it was definitely off. I would not order this again. I saw some other items I wanted to try so I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Waiel A.

Yelp
Great sandwiches overall. Once in a while you'll get a cole turkey sandwich with way more cole slaw than turkey on it but this is a solid sandwich shop.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Award winning cheesesteaks? For what exactly? Burnt overcooked meat and barely any cheese and I paid for extra. Severely disappointed.
google avatar

Angel C.

Yelp
I had a turkey hoagie and i was amazed that it was real turkey not lunch meat. I highly recommend this place. Definitely willbe baxk
google avatar

Marissa N.

Yelp
Capastrani and turkey Bobbie were ordered as a surprise and what a delightful surprise it was. They were freaking fantastic, if I had this option in my neck of the world I would be hitting it up on the reg. Soooooo much filling, great ratios of meat n veg.
google avatar

Nancy H.

Yelp
Food is delicious. Service is wonderful. They are always so friendly and accommodating. Love the Cole turkey (fresh turkey, coleslaw, Russian dressing, on a long roll).
google avatar

Yelp
I like this location and the one on market street in West Chester. Some of the other locations aren't on their game in terms of properly making the sandwich the way the original locations in Delaware did until they were bought out or sold. I went 2 weeks to this location and ordered my usual Bobbie. I was complementing their store and the manager James thanked me and said he runs the west chester location also. Nice guy and the staff are good also. There is also plenty of seating and a nice, clean restroom along with ample parking.

Yelp
I live within 1/4 mile but never knew about this place until 5/17/2021. I ordered the medium American Wagyu Cheese Steak $12.29. It didn't wow me as there seemed to be too much salt and unsure if it was the cheese or the cook. Maybe it was the pickles but for sure the steak was over salted. Not sure either if the Wagyu made a difference and I wasn't a fan of the roll either. Jury is still out if I'll be back.

Dino C.

Yelp
Ordered several sandwiches on MD weekend... very dissapointed with the quality of the food and quantity. I ordered the "famous" cheesesteak and the onions were overcooked and made the sandwich tasted "sour".. the Italian had little to no toppings on it? The prices are becoming ridiculous, and these 9", 12", 24" rolls they used are like 2" wide.. lol, they barely hold any meat/toppings in them. I miss planet hoagie. This place couldn't care less anymore.

Yelp
I was in the area looking for something to eat. The first place I couldn't find since it must be hidden somewhere among all of the stores in the area. Then while searching Yelp, this store "popped" up. Next I drove by this store while looking for the first store. Again I read the Yelp reviews and I knew I had to try a cheesetsteak before my trip was over and decided to give them a shot. I grew up in the area and only visiting for the week. Well I placed my order and to my dismay there were no fries. But I picked a bag of chips. After she told me the price I was thinking about how a bag of chips used to be 25 and 50 cents (so that shows my age). I was thinking about being heathly and order the chicken steak sandwich but the steak was calling my name. As the reviews stated the sandwich was filling and refreshing. I have traveled thousands of miles over the years and imitation Philly steak sandwiches are advertised at stores. Sometimes you have to come back home and eat the real deal. Service was great as the manager was very friendly. Also they do have an app you can download to save money on your meal so I recommend to try it out and give it a shot.

Doc G.

Yelp
Overrated. Very mediocre sandwich, extra heavy on the lettuce a la subway, very very light on the meat. Cheese was flavorless, again very subway-esque. Money would be better spent elsewhere. Truly disappointed. Will stick to Primo's.

Joanna K.

Yelp
Placed order on DoorDash. 2 sandwiches (the Bobbie and the Capastrami) plus an order of fries and an order of mashed potatoes. Never received the Bobbie. My father said his capatrami was great. Fries were terrible. Super thin, almost like chips but a little thicker and super cold. Mashed potatoes were sour. Like they were spoiled. Very disappointed. Never again. PS got the 5" sub..$8.39 each!!! And didn't get one of them. Not happy.

Kim W.

Yelp
Good food. My order was available in the 15 mins as promised. Nice people. Only hiccup was the website. Could not order cheese sub. Minor detail

Yelp
Man, you should have seen my wife's face when I told her they opened a Capriotti's in Springfield. The only other thing that would get her this excited is if they opened an Indian restaurant in Glenolden. If you've never had a Bobbie, well then Google what it is. Because at this moment of writing this review, I am too busy devouring one to type much more than this. And I think I just spilled cranberry sauce on my shirt so I gotta go.

Martin E.

Yelp
First I have to say, the delivery time was insane! In a good way :-) Placed order at 5:55pm and had our food at 6:15pm. Food was really good, and fresh. My mother in law had the roasted Turkey hoagie, and absolutely loved it. She said the Turkey was amazing. I had the Impossible Cheesesteak. It was the first time I've had the Impossible "steak meat." It was delicious! I legit had no clue I was not eating actual steak. I will say it was a bit messy, and a lot of the stuff fell out, but I wasn't too upset because it was that tasty :-) Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Yelp
So this is the only Capriotti's left nearby after the Ridley and Aston locations closed. There is this one and one in Glen Mills and that appears to be it for Delaware County. Our visit here is usually for a Bobbie, their version of Thanksgiving on a roll, which never disappoints when you are in the mood for turkey and lots of carbs. Sometimes you just can resist. Other family members like their Italian hoagies. Other places do that better but the Bobbie is unique and worth the detour.
google avatar

Chris O.

Yelp
The Bobbie was amazing, one of the best takes on the Thanksgiving leftovers sandwich. I actually saved half for the next day and it was even better, so if you can restrain yourself and not eat the entire thing, your self control will be rewarded the next day.

Georgia E.

Yelp
they have changed got a large Bobbi and the turkey was stringy and very dry. and not that much turkey on sandwich. use to love them but not now.
google avatar

Jacque R.

Yelp
Went yesterday 1/15/22 for hoagies that cost me 22.00. Barely any lunch meat on them. Two Italian hoagies was a joke more like lettuce and onions. I would tell anybody don't go there. They are a ripoff. It's a disgrace that store is in business.

Yelp
I travel to Pennsylvania pretty often. I have family that live there and finding the perfect cheesesteak is my life's goal. I've ate a few in my day. From Pat's to Geno's, but Capriotti's is one of my top 5 places to get a cheesesteak. There are quite a few in the area and I happened to stumble upon the one in Springfield, PA. I arrived 30 minutes after they were opened and they were already busy. It took them 15 minutes to make 2 sandwiches. Not bad but next time, I'll call ahead of time. The medium 12 inch is the perfect size. Only greedy people like my big brother order the 20 inch to eat now and save some for later. LOL Subs are reasonably priced and cooked to perfection. I usually get the works (mushrooms, hot peppers, oregano, salt/pepper, onions and jalapeños). They charge you extra for mushrooms. This time I tried the chicken cheesesteak and loved it. I'm sure I'll return back to Capriotti's soon. You can always expect pure goodness and melted cheese in every bite.

Mark G.

Yelp
Stopped by Capriotti's for a quick sandwich before a meeting earlier this week. On the positive front, the staff was friendly, my cheesesteak was ready within a few minutes of placing the order and it was hefty given the modest price. On the other hand, the bread was dry and so was the steak - no dripping juiciness. Maybe I expected too much. Regardless, I'll give them another shot.

sarah w.

Yelp
I am done buying from the Springfield PA Capriottis, I gave it several chances, I love Italian Hoagies, They we're delicious way back when but the quality and lack of meat for the price has is very disappointing, There are too many other hoagie shops in the area that are excellent, I have seen other Capriottos close up and I think this one will soon to be, It is a shame !!!!! They use to be SOOO TASTY , OH Well , Sorry but I am not going back, The roll the last 2x s we're not fresh also,
google avatar

Leslie F.

Yelp
I just stood in line for 20 minutes waiting to place an order. When someone finally asked to help me, I was informed that they were out of rolls. Don't you think that's something they could've announced or posted on the door??? UPDATE: The owner emailed me today to say that she could understand my frustration. She spoke to the staff and she left a certificate for a free sandwich at the counter for me. So---kudos to good management, and I'll change my review to 4 stars (also because I like the Bobbie!)

Jessica B.

Yelp
VEGANS!!! You must come here for the I Possible steak sandwich. Make sure to add onions and a side of sweet pickled peppers. The large is $20 but IM NOT KIDDING this thing is 2 feet long. Lol. The bread is so soft and delicious and the people there are super super nice. Order online ahead of time to get in and out quick.
google avatar

Kathleen M.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious subs! They are a little bit expensive but it's absolutely worth it. The ingredients are so fresh and tasty. My favorite is the turkey sub. Right now, getting take out food is just about the highlight of my week due to quarantine. And I couldn't be more pleased with this meal! Also, the large subs are HUGE. So you could definitely share it.

David S.

Yelp
First time here and last time here. The wait time was crazy long and it turned out not worth the wait especially for the price. I got a chicken cheese steak and the sandwich was more bread than anything. They were very skimpy on the chicken. I was not happy at all. Will not return.
google avatar

Steven B.

Yelp
A pastrami sandwich in the city is fairly easy to come by. Out in the burbs it's difficult. A pastrami hoagie is really something special. These guys do one called the Capstrami and it is beyond excellent. A great portion of excellent meat. A superior roll. The mustard and condiments are just right. These guys are in the Springfield Shopping Center on Route 1. This is the plaza that has the Giant Supermarket on one end and Moe's Grill on the other.
google avatar

Jonathan F.

Yelp
Ordered on grub hub at 6:30. Someone called from the restaurant and cancelled the order stating they are too Busy? Ok no more business from me. My order was over $30 will take it somewhere else
google avatar

Tim P.

Yelp
I guess my expectations were too high... The sign has a vintage look... The inside is modern and bright... The hoagie.... Uhhh... how about those Phillies...? Let me put it mildly... I'm gonna place the two star blame on myself... They are what they are... A pre-sliced, made to order, sandwich shop... Nothing special, nothing bad.. I left thinking, " I should have packed my lunch today..." I never complain about prices... But nothing there justifies the price that they charge. Nice ladies staffing the shop.
google avatar

Krista C.

Yelp
Awesome subs, fountain sodas, and super nice staff! We will be back, when in the area Thank you Capriotti's!
google avatar

Kelley J.

Yelp
Great sandwich shop. Unique and delicious menu. Suggestion: Capastrami which is pastrami, Russian dressing, Swiss & cole slaw.
google avatar

Adamal D.

Yelp
How can anyone not love Capriotti's!? One bite of a Bobbie and the happy dance begins. This is not diet food. Go for the 12" and save half for later - if you can. For years, we traveled to Delaware to fulfill this craving. Now we go to Springfield or Folsom!!! Yippee! I hear other items are good too, but I've only ever tasted the Bobbie & Capastrami. I'm not a fan of any coleslaw but the one bite of Capastrami was delicious. I just believe that the Bobbie should be the official food of Delaware & Delco! Do it!

Lou S.

Yelp
I had just walked into this store to pick up a delivery, I drive for Grubhub for a living. It's about 100 degrees out and I have been having a horrible day. Was extremely depressed and overwhelmed, not that it showed... But upon walking in and letting them know I was here to pick up this huge order, the extremely friendly black gentleman behind the counter immediately told me to come get these 2 sandwiches for free on the house and a free cup since I'm working too. By far the nicest thing anyone has done for me as a delivery person all week easily. I wish I ate more food they sell as I would recommend anyone come here. The sandwiches were huge and heavy too so I'm sure anything bought here is worth it! You never know when a small act of kindness can change someone's entire day.. or life. Thanks again guys if you get to read this!!
