My partner and I stopped into Capsule Perfumery yesterday in search of something unique, and we were blown away. The woman working was beyond helpful knowledgeable, warm, and clearly passionate about fragrance. She guided us through an incredible selection of scents, many of which we’d never encountered before. It was a true sensory adventure. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area and love discovering new olfactory experiences.

We accidentally stumbled into this store on a short trip to LA and it was absolutely the highlight. We love niche perfumes but this was on a whole other level. This perfumerie is truly deserving of all its accolades. I only wish we had found out about it sooner. We spent a long time smelling every single fragrance with the help of Tanisha. She was very patient and knowledgeable and made it a wonderful experience. We bought a sample set and will be ordering full sizes asap.

Superb perfumery. Everything smelt unique and complete. No rough edges. Nothing but well-rounded high quality fragrances. I bought a discovery set and was torn between which 7 perfumes I could choose because I loved so many of them. I can't wait to get my full size bottles.

Had an amazing experience having a private workshop at Capsule Parfumerie. The location itself was stunning & they were very hands on helping us build our scent. They also were very generous enough to accommodate us bringing in our own light beverages and snacks. Definitely recommend for larger group outings. Can't wait to come back!

I’m very impressed with their hands on customer service. An order of mine was missing, one of the owners contacted me and arranged for me to pick up the perfume at the shop. This literally blew my mind and made me even more supportive of their wonderful fragrances! Fiele Santalum is incredible, so is Cedrus and the list goes on. Their brand is thus far one of my favorites. I want to see them grow more than le labo. The quality of their fragrances is clearly top notch and so is their product packaging. I truly love this brand and will keep buying from them and spread the word. Thank you so much for the customer service.

Most incredible perfume in-store experience tucked away in a beautiful courtyard in Chinatown. My group and I instantly fell in love with the unique collection of perfumes and unbeatable customer service. If you're tired of the run-of-the-mill big fragrance brands, I highly recommend trying out a new perfume here. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Lovely salesperson who recommended a lot of great scents that I fell in love with. She was so passionate, patient and knowledgeable! I bought the Nimbis (amazing scent, everyone should smell this once) in full size and many others to wear-test. Love love love this shop - once of the best experiences I've had going perfume shopping :) I will go back to order online once I try them all out.

I came here after visiting a store i drove a ways to, a gift to myself. In a spur of the moment decision i typed in "perfumerie near me" and capsule showed up a mile away. Enter Tanisha - she knew the owner from a prior job and was hand picked to work here. "Just come" the owner said. This woman took the time to go by each perfume , one by one, and explain them to me in ways and words like "it smells like violin strings" and you know what, they absolutely did. And you know what? I've never smelled a fucking violin string - that's how good this woman was. We were laughing, we were loud, we were like old friends smelling the world's finest scents alone in our own space - no one else in the store, the epitome of tailored service. I smelled all of their lines, Vietnamese coffee appeared mid session -- a pleasant yet somehow expected in a way as the experience was just that good that i thought to myself "they probably have coffee here" I've got a little collection of scents and i am so happy to have found this store and have met Tanisha.

A beautiful lovely little gem in Chinatown Plaza. Yes, they're still open! The lady (forgive me for forgetting her name) was super approachable and not at all pretentious about perfumes. I felt super at ease hehe. She gave me a lot of samples and explained the notes of each. She started out asking what scents I usually wore and she really knew each product of the store. Unfortunately the perfume I wanted to purchase was out of stock at that moment, and I was put on a waiting list. Very thoughtful, thank you! I will update with a picture of the storefront soon!

Very cool in-house LA perfumery. Mike and Linda were very welcoming. Excited to see how they continue to build this brand. Walked out with Cactus Bloom and will be back for more!

Came here at 5pm Saturday and they were closed. I think they need to update their store hours.

They are wonderful here. Every time I visit I have the extreme pleasure of seeing Tanisha, a person who deeply cares about customer experience. She is such an expert at what she does - she is honest, she is a wealth of information about the company, about perfumes - a true professional. I can't wait to come back. Thank you for always being so warm and wonderful Tanisha!

We left Capsule complete converts. The scents were varied, complex, & intriguing, but it was the attention we got from Taneshia (not sure about the spelling, sorry!) that blew us away. She took the time to share every scent with us, describing the scent lines, influences, and notes. On top of it all, we are not the ideal customers for most perfumeries: one adult out-of-towner and two teen boys. But we are scent curious in general, and have educated ourselves over the last two years because one of the young men is interested in perfumery as a career. Most perfumeries don't pay us much attention. Some pointedly ignore us. So encountering someone who talks with us genuinely is so appreciated. Taneshia went above and beyond. In addition to making us feel like we absolutely belonged there, her help meant we could truly narrow down scents we liked. Capsule sells via their website, too, so you can try out sample scents and avoid costly blind buys. I highly recommend!

Beautiful selection of hard to find, locally crafted bespoke fragrances. Located inside a boutique shop space in a bustling corner of Chinatown.

I can not say enough good things about this place. Friendly / knowledgeable staff Plenty of street/meter parking The scents are unique and incredible (even the ones that "aren't for you") Ask about the story or inspiration for each scent! all natural/ vegan options Most (?) made with natural essential oils (I could be speaking out of turn here but I'm pretty sure :p) You get a sample with purchase I own two scents and have a long wishlist All are reasonably and accessibly priced.

got to meet the perfumer, Linda, who is incredibly talented! the worker there was amazing and took the time to go through every fragrance with me. i ended up coming home with one that was totally unexpected!

They have oils from all different regions of the world, and are so honed in on creating beautiful fragrances. My favorite is the juniperus, five stars highly recommend visiting this beautiful perfumery- they also carry and produce men's fragrances

I love this place. Not a lot of people I know are aware of Orris perfumery. These are all locally made perfumes and have a unique scent to them. I have purchased a few perfumes and every time I was sprayed them, I receive compliments and asked where I got my perfumes. The customer service here is superb. Anytime I'm on the westside, I always try and remind myself to stop by.

The store is beautiful and some of the fragrances are lovely but if you're considering hiring the owner to formulate a fragrance for you, you may want to reconsider. I'm also a business owner, and when I met with the owner of Orris to potentially hire her I was treated almost like I was a nuisance. I'm familiar with scent formulating and the various oils, though I'm not a trained expert, and when I consulted with her she was very dismissive of me in general. She seemed annoyed by my questions and ideas, though she hid it, and I could tell she would have rather been reading the dictionary than sitting there helping me decide on a scent. Which was sad, because I had been excited to consult with her. Perhaps she was having a bad day, as we all do, but it left me very disappointed and made me decide to go with someone else.

I just got my order of perfume hand sanitizer and am blown away. Thank goodness I don't have to smell purell anymore. Also love that it's 70 % alcohol. So good, so happy.
