We hadn't eaten here in a while and thought we would try it again. Great decision for us!!! Spicy Korean Chicken Bowl and Pulled Pork Nachos with Pico and pineapple salsa. Very delicious!! Not really spicy though but excellent still!! Would definitely get again

Google
Great Spot for a Casual Bite! This is a solid place to grab a quick bite at the Polynesian Resort, especially if you’re looking for something without the hassle of a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The superfood salad was fresh, flavorful, and definitely exceeded expectations. But the real standout? The Poly Chips. Seriously, if you haven’t tried them yet, you’re missing out, they’re crispy, seasoned perfectly, and totally addictive. I’d honestly recommend ordering two batches because one just isn’t enough! The flatbread, on the other hand, was just okay. Not terrible by any means, but not something I’d rush to order again. Still, with standout items like the salad and chips, this spot is worth a visit if you’re nearby and looking for a laid-back meal that delivers on taste.

Oh, Captain Cook’s—where the price sails high but the portions... kind of drift away with the tide. The Korean chicken bowl? It’s got the right flavors, but let’s be real, the Thai meatball and rice situation is serving dessert vibes instead of entrée energy. Even by Polynesian standards, that sweetness is doing the absolute most. And for those price tags? Let’s just say Hei Hei himself would probably still be hungry. The staff? Lovely, sunshine-filled, all the aloha vibes. But if you don’t want to feel like you just paid resort prices for an appetizer-sized snack, you might want to chart a course for tastier waters elsewhere. Bon voyage! 🌺

I was really looking forward to breakfast at the Polynesian—it’s such a beautiful resort with a wonderful atmosphere. Unfortunately, the meal didn’t quite live up to the surroundings. The Tonga Toast, which I’d heard great things about, was disappointingly dry and lacked the rich flavor I expected. To make matters worse, it was served with imitation syrup rather than real maple syrup, which only added to the letdown. The coffee was overly acidic and not particularly enjoyable. The breakfast potatoes were lukewarm and bland, and the eggs didn’t offer much in the way of flavor either. Given the charm and reputation of the Polynesian, I expected better. The environment was lovely, but the food simply didn’t match the setting.

The food was delicious! The Super Foods Salad with Chicken was big & very filling. The desserts looked beautiful, hoping to try them next time. Not much indoor seating. We had to take our food upstairs & sit behind Kona Cafe which was a beautiful view, just a bit of a hike with food & drinks.

This is a nice, decent size place. It had indoor and outdoor seating. Service wasn't always consistent. Some of the staff were nicer and more helpful than others. This place can be pretty busy depending on the time of day. We ordered: 1. Bacon cheeseburger - thick and juicy 2. Pulled pork nachos - loved the wonton chips with the pulled pork. Mango salsa paired well that it was a crunchy, sweet, and salty bite. Perfectly balanced 3. Thai coconut meatballs - Tender and flavorful. I just wished it had a little more rice. 4. Aloha pork sandwich - I loved the crunch and sweetness you get from the coleslaw and flavor from the pulled pork 5. Poly chips - This is a tasty snack. I wish it came with a dip or something, but it's good to eat on its own as well. 6. Pineapple cupcake - hands down my favorite 7. Moana cupcake - tasty and moist. Coconut didn't care for too much 8. Guava danish and Guava Scone - Such a treat, I wish I had this sooner than the morning we were leaving. This gets sold out pretty fast. I love the taste of the guava jam, and the pastries taste so soft and fresh. The scone was not hard and dry like most coffee shops. It was light and moist.

Flatbread pizza was delicious and hot. If you're sharing, I suggest you ask them to cut it for you. Only gave it a four for the price....a little high.

Google
This was a beautiful place to eat lunch and a much needed break from the busyness of the day. I ordered with the mobile app and my order was fast and correct. They have options for even the pickiest eaters (like me). They have indoor and outdoor seating available. I chose the outdoor next to the pool for a change of scenery.

Yelp
This is a great place to take a break in the air conditioning, especially during the hot summer. They have great snack options and drink options and even light meal options. It is part of the theme included with the Disney's Polynesian resort. It's a great place to go and relax and wait for friends or just hang out for a snack or come and play a board game one evening.

Yelp
It's something different ok! I'll grab a bite here over the regular Disney quick service any day. In short; I love the pulled pork nachos. I don't like the noodles (shrimp or vegetables) too wet for me. I think the spicy chicken is pretty good, nice spice. The decor is meh, but it's quick service and not supposed to be anything fancy. The staff is, as always, polite and friendly. As far as price goes, it's about $11-15 per order so pricey, but in-line with regular Disney quick service.

Yelp
We met up with some friends at the Polynesian to grab drinks and food before going to Magic Kingdom. We visited on a Sunday so it was definitely a little busier than it would be on a weekday. The Cast Members were clearly stressed out and were trying their best to communicate with everyone about order wait times. The dining room is kind of small and it was not very clean, probably due to the lack of Cast Members present. We mobile ordered and waited for our time slot to begin. Once we clicked the button saying we had arrived, it took about an hour for our order to be ready. We ordered the Pan-Asian Noodles and Vegetables and the Cheese Flatbread. The noodles were okay, but they desperately needed hot sauce which was not available. The flatbread was so greasy and soggy that you could barely pick up a slice, but it tasted okay. I don't know if we would return here unless we were staying at the resort. I know some people love this spot, but I did not.

Yelp
We frequently visit Capt. Cook's when visiting WDW, and enjoy their noodles! We also tried the flatbread pizza this time and it wasn't bad. The service is pretty decent and the decor matches the theme of the hotel. It's a little pricey, but it's Disney.

Yelp
The Nachos are 100% worth the hype! They are delicious and you should definitely try them. Capt. Cooks also has a delicious Caesar salad. The only negative is that the indoor seating is very limited. You may have a hard time finding somewhere to sit inside if you go during peak times. I will definitely be back to try these again!

Yelp
The place was beautifully decorated as you would expect from a Disney restaurant. It was huge but a little loud. The staff were nice and friendly. We ordered the Korean Chicken Bowl and the Coconut Meatballs and Rice. The Korean bowl was sweet and too sour. It has a nice texture though. The meatballs were okay you can definitely taste the coconut. My son ordered the chicken strips kids meal and it came with fries, cookie and a drink.

Yelp
Located inside of the Polynesian resort this quick serve restaurant is easy to grab a snack or full meal. To find this spot you'll walk down the left hallway if you're coming from the check-in area. You'll pass a bathroom area and then see it straight ahead. They have a display menu board overhead that you can glance through as you wait in what is usually a pretty short line. They do have some cold case options like fruits, pastries, drinks, and salads. If you're on the lookout for a fun Disney dessert, they have cute cupcake offerings in this case as well. The staff is very good about moving the line quickly and offer the Disney service one comes to expect from the mouse. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, but as it's regularly hot in FL, you'll most likely want an inside option. The seating area is small, and it can sometimes take a minute to get a seat. Overall: A- Solid quick serve option for guests staying at the resort or just passing through it.

Yelp
Do not sleep on the kids meals! I ordered the kids turkey sandwich thinking it would be the prepackaged one they have at the value resort food courts. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box to fresh bread, lettuce, and tomatoes! This was also only one side of fries - I also got carrots and the kids drink. Spicy Korean chicken was just okay. Too much sauce for my liking but the heat was not that bad. Cucumber namasu was literally one slice and the rice was a tad undercooked. Probably would not get again. Mobile order took longer than I assumed for a Tuesday dinner so I definitely recommend putting it in on your way back to the resort. Decent amount of seating but got crowded inside once it started to rain.

Yelp
My friends and I had dinner at Captain Cook's last night, just before the fireworks. I ordered the Thai Coconut Meatballs and a drink, which came highly recommended, and they didn't disappoint. For $17 after tax, I enjoyed perfectly cooked meatballs in a delicious coconut-infused gravy over rice. The flavors blended really well! My friends ordered the Nachos, which were also amazing. If you're looking for a more filling option or something to share, I'd definitely suggest the Nachos. The unique flavor of the chips paired perfectly with the toppings. The restaurant itself is pretty simple, but the outdoor atmosphere really adds to the experience. We were lucky to catch a movie on the lawn and enjoyed a Disney film while we ate. Plus, you get a great view of the fireworks from there. Overall, it was a great evening, and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Super flow. Did a mobile order and it took the better part of 30 minutes at high traffic times. Seating is very limited especially at busy times. Kids food was average. Adult food was pretty solid. Overall you won't be blown away nor disappointed. It's about what you would expect. Staff most definitely works hard. Limited quick service options if you are staying at the hotel.

Yelp
This place was a let down. The Korean chicken bowl tasted like a very vinegary orange chicken and the Thai meatballs were so sweet that I thought I was eating a weird dessert. Service was a let down. Not much instructions on what to do after you pay. I thought I was given a pager but I found out it was a GPS. Then when I noticed my kid's drink was missing I found out that I had to go get my kid's bottle drink myself from the cooler. As far as decor, I think the setup needs to be configured to fit the space and the traffic. As far as portion to price and quality it is better than some places on the WDW property. Overall, if i had known what I know now, i would have had a better experience and that being said, I'll probably come back one day.

Yelp
This is a great quick-service option in the Polynesian Village Resort. You can pick up pre-packaged items (drinks, pop tarts, etc.) and you can also order fresh prepared items off their menu. I recommend the nachos. It's a great shareable option when you want something to split between people that's more than just a sandwich. The pork on the nachos was delicious and the pineapple tidbits were tasty. We also got the kids turkey sandwich. Be ware - it does not automatically come with cheese and does come with shredded iceberg lettuce and tomato slices. The side was French fries and they were good. We sat at their inside seating, and the decor inside was fitting with the rest of the resort. The bathroom are along the hallway before you entered the restaurant area. The tables and chairs within the restaurant can be moved around to accommodate larger groups or small groups. I would return here for the nachos in a heartbeat. This place has lots of options and I look forward to exploring more of them in the future.

Yelp
Stopped into captain cooks after another Disney-goer informed us of the limitless refill beverage cup! Apparently this is NOT a widely advertised option for vacationers. One is able to purchase a refillable handled cup in any of the restaurants and once it is activated, you can refill it as many times as you want. They cannot be used inside the parks but the hotels and restaurants on hotel properties are limitless refills. Jayne C was quite helpful by letting us know those details before we purchased the mugs. Activation was nearly immediate and the process worked like a charm.

Yelp
Winner, winner, the place for dinner!! Our family loves Captain Cooks because of the variety. So much to choose from here in terms of food choices. Asian noodles, chicken skewers, rice, pineapple, flatbread, pastries, meatballs and so much more!!! Prices are Disney reasonable. Plenty of seating inside or tables outside if you want to catch the fireworks or outdoor activities. Deserts and breakfast options are yummy too!

Yelp
I'm not a Disney pro and I wasn't visiting on a Disney vacation, but I was pretty disappointed with this experience. I was in Orlando doing other things and heard the Polynesian Resort was great so I thought I would stop by for dinner. After being unable to get in anywhere else I went to Capt. Cook's for dinner. The service was pretty average, and the employees seemed very overwhelmed. I ordered two entrees and it took almost 30 minutes for them to get delivered to our table. They were both pretty average to poor, and the paper plates really didn't help. My Asian noodles seemed cobbled together and were sitting in a pool of cold water. The items with the burger meal were likely all frozen at one point. The ambiance also wasn't very nice to me. The restaurant was crowded and packed, resulting in a loud meal. The posters with travel destinations were nice, but decor in other areas seemed appropriative at best. I was really disappointed overall. It was my first Disney experience since I was a child.

Yelp
Went here for lunch when we visited Disney World. This restaurant is pretty tight. They don't have a lot of seatings. Our table was also almost touching the table next to us but everyone is a Disney person, so no one minded :) we ordered the spicy korean chicken and thai coconut meatballs. Both dishes had a lot of flavor but were too spicy in my opinion. And since it's at Disney, it was pretty pricey as well for such small portions.

Yelp
Captain Cook's is about as good as a resort counter-service restaurant can get! It might honestly be my favorite one on property! And that's saying something, as there are a LOT to choose from. The food here is always good, with a delicious Hawaiian/Island flair. This means you can expect some island-Asian fusion, like the spicy Korean chicken bowl, or the Hawaiian flatbread. I had the bowl on my last visit, and it did not disappoint! The gochujang flavor was very present, and it had a nice heat to it. Probably not nearly spicy enough for some of you, but if you have a lower spice threshold, you might want to pick something else. The pork barbecue sandwich is a winner, particularly! Very filling and very flavorful! My only major complaint is the seating, or lack thereof. They have staff in the dining area to immediately wipe down tables as they open up, which is SUPER helpful! They just don't have a lot of space to sit and enjoy your meal. True, there is patio space, so you have that option if the weather is nice. It's also a bit pricy, but that's to be expected on property. I wouldn't say it's any higher or lower than other comparable quick service locations. I will say, though, we've never walked away from here hungry! So, you do get what you pay for in that regard. Not to mention, it has close proximity to Pineapple Lanai and Trader Sam's, so you have post-meal options for dessert and libations! If you're into that kind of thing, of course. (wink) Overall, this place is on point across the board. The food is always delicious, the cast members are friendly and helpful, and the ambiance and location in the Polynesian Resort are desirable. Definitely a great spot for a fast meal!

Yelp
Alright, so we'd been recommended to come here a bunch of times before we finally made it in. We happened to have coupons for free food so we decided to use them here, and got to try a lot more than we normally would because of that! First of all, for a quick service location by Disney standards this one is REALLY tiny. When we came in there was only one register running and a pretty substantial line. So we had to wait a bit to order (which was fine, we weren't in a hurry). I decided to order the nachos because I'd been told 3784 times how great they are. They really are yummy! I could do with a little less pineapple personally but there's a good serving of pork on top, and the wonton chips make these nachos interesting and fun. They got a little soggy towards the end and they're very sweet! So if you decide to order them, be prepared for a sweet meal. I would definitely order them again on the way to Magic Kingdom one day as an alternative option to the quick service in the park. My husband got a chicken bowl and he was less thrilled as it was EXTREMELY spicy. He liked it! But he had to drink a lot of water to get through it. He said if it has less sauce it would've been better. We got mac & cheese on the side which was very yummy and cheesy, and I decided to try the coconut Moana cupcake for dessert. Definitely one of the best cupcakes I've had on Disney property. It was moist and the coconut was present without being overwhelming. Also, the ambiance outside is really nice because it's right next to the Poly pool and you can see the lake. So I highly recommend opting for the outdoor seating.

Yelp
A great place to grab a quick bite or refill your mug (if you choose to make the $22 investment for the refillable mug). The kids enjoyed the hamburgers and Mac and cheese. Everyone enjoyed the flat breads, Hawaiian and cheese. I enjoyed the Asian noodles and meatballs the most. I appreciate the late hours and availability for drinks and grub. But it does get busy since they are also facilitating to go orders as well. Or if the pool closes for weather, it can get packed and slow down. Most of the time we were able to grab a table inside or outside, just keep your eyes peeled.

Yelp
This is a quick-service restaurant at the Polynesian resort at Disney World. I came here after failing to get on the walk up wait list for Ohana at the same resort. Since we were on property why not get a bite, right? We wanted a light bite to share and we ordered the pulled pork nachos which were Hawaiian inspired. They were really good! It was topped with pico de gallo, pineapple salsa, cheese and potato chips instead of tortillas. The portion was good for two people. We also got a cinnamon roll. It was good! It was cold but I noticed too late there was a microwave at the dinning area, we could have used to warm it up. Next time we know. The menu had other Hawaiian and Asian inspired dishes I want to try next time such as spicy Korean chicken bowl, aloha pork sandwich, Thai coconut meatballs and more. The restaurant has two indoor seating areas and outdoors too. I think this is a great spot to grab a bite while resort hopping at Disney. I'm giving it a 4 stars because I didn't try more options from their menu.
google avatar

Beatrice P.

Yelp
The breakfast here is pretty good but the lunch and dinner are mediocre. I got the pork nachos. It is regular potato chips with pulled pork, pineapple, and "plastic" cheese. The best I can describe it is weird. It is very sweet. Like all Disney restaurants, the service is great. They are always, in my experience, incredibly kind. The atmosphere is like all other quick service. Not anything to right home about. Come here for breakfast but go upstairs for your other meals.
google avatar

Yelp
My family and I were staying at the Polynesian Resort. We stopped by Captain Cook's several times for quick service meal and snacks. This place is expensive! Some of the small bags of chips were $4.00 each! If you're placing a quick service meal, you'll order at the register and will be given a buzzer. Sometimes all of the tables will be packed especially during the evening hours and prior to the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Dining options include indoor and outdoor seating. Since the orders are bagged, you can also bring it back to your hotel room if you're staying on property. We ended up getting the BBQ sandwich and it wasn't too bad. This place can get relatively busy and there can be a long wait. I'd recommend stopping by in the morning as soon as it opens, or mid-day.

Yelp
Capt. Cook's is exactly like all the other quick service options in any Disney resort. Smaller eating areas. Good outdoor seating is nice, but a little cold on the day we were there. I had the Korean Fried Chicken Bowl. Meh. Spicy. Basically it is a couple of chicken tenders in a sweet and spicy sauce on rice. My wife had the plant-based option -- a burger. It was better than most, but still pretty basic.
google avatar

Kaylee N.

Yelp
Captain Cooks is one of my favorite things about staying at Disney's Polynesian! They always have amazing plant based options (I'm vegan which is no dairy and egg). Their plant based bowl was actually served on a plate this time with a massive amount of Just Egg garnished with red peppers, a full sized plant based sausage, and fried potatoes. Service is always quick and efficient, but you can mobile order to save even more time. I love the refillable soda machine, too! They have two sections for indoor seating and even more outside on the patio- love the tropical ambiance!
google avatar

Brooke M.

Yelp
I can only speak to the lunch/dinner selections, as I haven't eaten breakfast here yet. It is a decent quick service option located in Disney's Polynesian resort. My most recent visit, I ordered the Thai meatballs, and I was thoroughly impressed. They have a sweet and slightly spicy flavor. You get 4 large meatballs on a bed of rice with some green onions on top. I added a pinch of salt and it was perfect. A great little meal, especially on a chilly night. The wait here can sometimes be a little long, so I highly suggest using mobile order. I did this, and pretty much finished my meal before the people who had been in front of me in line even placed their order. If you don't like using mobile order, then expect to wait a little bit during peak times or go order in between peak times. All in all, they have some good options here. They are Disney prices, but if you need something quicker than a sit down, the food is good and always hot when I've ordered.
google avatar

Mit G.

Yelp
We stopped in here for lunch on our arrival day as it was convenient and the lunch menu looked pretty nice. We had the Thai Coconut Meatballs as well as the Aloha Pork Sandwich. Also purchased our refillable mug. We were pretty impressed with our lunch! Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Considering this is a quick serve location, we had a great meal at a reasonable price. You have to try the Thai Coconut Meatballs if you're a coconut fan. We'll definitely be back to see the Captain!

Yelp
Nice quick service restaurant at the Polynesian Resrot. Service was excellent and it was clean. Very themed decor and that also is found on the menu. Among the standard burgers and chicken nuggets, you can also find Thai coconut meatballs, Pan Asian noodles, pulled pork nachos, and Aloha pork sandwich. I got the noodles and they were great! Teriyaki flavor with plenty of veggies and chicken. The portion was generous and easily shared. This resort is beautiful and with more formal or expansive places to eat, I was pleasantly surprised to find this quick service with unique, affordable options.

Yelp
Our third stop on a one day tour of the Magic Kingdom resorts brought us to the Polynesian Resort. This place is gorgeous. It is my favorite resort, along with Animal Kingdom. I will say, the Christmas decorations were a bit limited compared to other deluxe resorts. After walking around the resort, we grabbed lunch at Captain Cook's. The star of the show was the Super Food Salad my wife got. It is the reason for the 2 stars. Service was just ok. The drink set up is awkward, and the restaurant fills really crowded, even when it isn't full. Next time I would eat outside of Trader Sam's. There is an impressive condiment bar, the other reason for the 2 stars. I got the Hawaiian flat bread, going with the Polynesian theme, and it was not good. Doughy, little ham, little pineapple, and one part that was either burnt, or something I don't want to know, that was rock hard, black, and inedible. The kids cheeseburgers were ok. My daughter had to dump 2 packets of red peppers into her chicken soup to make it edible. I would go back and try the meatballs and rice, which I almost got, but I won't go out of my way to eat here again. It was probably the single most disappointing quick service meal I have had at WDW. One more stop on the monorail and we could have eaten at the Gasparilla Grill at Grand Floridian, my favorite quick service.

Yelp
As a passholder who usually dines at the same old spots, I felt like changing it up today so I stopped by Capt. Cook's. Turns out this place is a bit of a Disney food hack from both a flavor and value standpoint. For just $20 total, I got the Thai coconut meatballs and the chicken and pineapple skewer. The latter is technically a kids meal but I was deploying it as an appetizer here. The chicken wasn't seasoned but it included some sweet sesame dipped sauce which boosted the taste considerably. The meatballs were packed with flavor and made for a great entree overall. I still can't get over how good the prices are here. They also had an Asian noodle bowl with chicken and vegetables for around $11-$12. Disney usually forces guests to decide between food that's good or food that's cheap. Here, you can legitimately have both.
google avatar

Hannah J.

Yelp
As a passholder, I come to the Disney bubble quite often and almost every time I do I find myself coming back here, or regretting *not* coming back here. Value is great, food quality is great, I DREAM of those darn meatballs. Only way this review is coming down is if they stop selling the meatballs. The nachos are also a go to for me, and I enjoy the Hawaiian flatbread as well. Service is prompt and CMs are just as sweet here as everywhere else! Ambiance inside definitely leaves more to be desired but I typically just sit outside by the pool for a prettier view (and so I can run to the outdoor Trader Sam's stand to grab a drink while I wait for my food). Every time I watch a Disney food highlights video and don't see Capt Cooks and their meatballs or nachos on it I literally scream at my tv. Would give 1000000 stars if I could.

Yelp
If you are staying at the Polynesian Village Resort - this is convenient and affordable for Disney. You can place a mobile order, and then come and pick It up. What I like the most is it's very organized, fresh, great service and they have a condiment area with BBQ, chopsticks, and all sorts of extras you might need or want with your meal. This is also the location for your refillable mugs. I ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos - these were a variety of house made chips and won ton chips - some spicy mayo - the pulled pork and some extra toppings. It was tasty, crispy, and I could have shared!!! Large portion. I also got the Noodles & Vegetables - this was also very good - I added chicken for $2 more, which was great - there was a LOT of chicken. I added a 50th Anniversary Cupcake...I do NOT like cupcakes, but the "dole-whip filling" intrigued me and it was actually GREAT! I highly recommend!!! There is indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. It's such a great atmosphere and if you dine at night outside, usually there is live music nearby over at Trader Sam's Grotto outdoors.

Yelp
Checked in to the Polynesian a little early so our room wasn't ready yet, but my friends and I were definitely in the mood for food and Captain Cook's was a quick stop for lunch. The line was getting a little long at 11:45 a.m. so I opted to mobile order my food which was probably a mistake on my part... In a nutshell I waited about 20-30 minutes to receive my food while those who waited in line received their food much faster than me, but I'm not going to raise a *huge* stink over it since it was during the lunch rush hour and it was my fault for being lazy. Seating inside the restaurant was pretty tight and people were bumping into my seat so try and opt to sit outside if the weather is good. The food, on the other hand... disappointing. We ordered the Korean Chicken Bowl, Thai Coconut Meatballs, Pan-Asian Noodles and Vegetables, and Pulled Pork Nachos. Honestly, the only thing that was actually pretty good were the pulled pork nachos, and even then, it would've been 10 times better without the pineapple salsa on top (if you can order this without the pineapple or have it on the side, then I would highly recommend this dish). The Korean chicken bowl was overly saucy; the Thai coconut meatballs were just "meh" with some mushy rice; and the Pan-Asian noodles and vegetables (the one dish I was really looking forward to eating) was a huge letdown. The noodles fell apart when you picked them up and the flavors were overly sweet and ginger-forward. It definitely needed some soy sauce to balance out the sweet taste, but it really couldn't be saved. Big letdown... Overall, I'll give this place 2/5 stars. The refillable drink station was alright and the refillable mug came in handy during the trip so that's a plus. I would get the pork nachos again, but unless the restaurant is the only option available at the Polynesian, this wouldn't be my first place for food.

Yelp
The only dining option near the polynesian resort. The best item is the noodles. Theyre not overcooked and have just enough sauce to make them tasty. Worst item is probably the spicy chicken strip bowl. The sauce tasted more like hot wing sauce than an asian sauce.

Yelp
Stopped in here for dinner. The place was packed and doesn't have a lot of seating. There was a bit of a wait on our food with a mobile order but it wasn't too bad. The nachos were amazing! I would 100% order them again. The chips were to die for. The pulled pork sandwich wasn't bad either but the nachos were better. I would suggest ordering the chips on the side instead of fries with the sandwich.

Yelp
LETS ME JUST SAY the lady who took my order... absolutely not. I said I want nothing on my barbecue sandwich but the barbecue meat and she said "no bread?" Like lady wtf. Anyways lady was a jerk. So yeah prepare yourself. This place did not have me feeling like the most magical place on earth!

Yelp
Definitely one of the better quick service restaurants available on WDW property! My favorites are the pulled pork nachos and the thai coconut meatballs! The pulled pork nachos are made of a mix of wonton and potato chips topped with pico de gallo, a heaping amount of pulled pork, and a light cheese sauce that gives cheesy flavor but is not overpowering. The thai coconut meatballs are the perfect healthy treat which comes with 3 meatballs, lots of coconut curry sauce (it mostly tastes like coconut), and a bed of rice. Service is always quick and everything comes out perfectly! P.S. I love that they have lemons out in the drink section!

Yelp
A quick service counter in Disney's Polynesian resort. They had a great amount of meal options and I loved that they were not just your normal burgers, hotdogs and chicken tenders. The kids loves their Korean wings and the Superfoods salad was absolutely AH-mazing! The apple cider vinaigrette is to die for. I would solely go back there for that salad and a stop to get some dole whip at the Pineapple Lanai afterwards :-)

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with Captain Cooks! Had to get the popular pulled pork nachos, parmesan pepper wings, and chili. Pulled Pork Nachos: Don't expect traditional nachos. For the chips, you get a combination of potato chips and fried wonton skins. The pineapple adds sweetness. I liked this and would get again! I do wish they had a little more pulled pork. Parmesan Pepper Chicken Wings: I'd say chicken wings are one of my top 5 favorite foods, so my expectations were very low for Disney. However, these were SO good! The wings were big and meaty and they tasted like they had been fried fresh. There wasn't much parmesan on it, but I appreciated how crispy they were for dry wings. I hate to say it, but if you gave these to me with my eyes closed, I might've thought they were from Wingstop. Walts Chili: Would not get again. Super salty and we couldn't finish it. Walt would be disappointed...

Yelp
The bacon was perfectly cooked and the Tonga toast was as good as I remember. Definitely try it without syrup first; it's covered with cinnamon sugar. My last couple bites that were sitting directly on the plate were greasy but otherwise it was excellent. Everything was clean and neat. I came here to look at the Christmas decorations, but there wasn't many. If you plan on resort, hopping to look at Christmas decorations, this is definitely one you can skip. Grand Floridian had the best tree (outside of the parks) and gingerbread house. The Disney Yacht club had a huge chocolate merry go round.

Yelp
Food is great especially when you need a quick meal. You can order from the app and pick it up. Food was delicious. They do Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Yelp
We stopped by for dessert for a Friday night treat. The Moana cupcake was delicious. The group also ordered a cinnamon roll and mac and cheese. All the food was good, like always. The coffee was delicious. It is nice to know that even after the little coffee place upstairs is closed, you can still come down here and get a speciality coffee.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here twice during our stay at the Polynesian Resort. First we had dinner here following another rainy blast coming back from EPCOT. When we got there I did traditional ordering. I ordered the Aloha pork sandwich and fries for myself and a bacon cheeseburger and fries along with Walt's chili for my husband. I decided to skip on the refillable mugs since I knew they weren't worth the money for the few times we would eat here. I was given a buzzer and sat down at a table. All around me were posters of the south seas. Off in one corner is a refrigerated food and beverage section. Regular ordered drinks you grab from a machine along with napkins, utensils, sauces, sugars, creams, etc. Within about 10 minutes my buzzer went off and I went over to an area where they had bagged orders (probably mobile) ready to go. I showed the lady my buzzer and she said they were still preparing my order. Apparently they bag every order regardless of how it was placed. After waiting another 10 minutes I got our dinner bag and sat down. My pork sandwich was very good, the fries however, seemed cold probably from sitting out. My husband enjoyed his bacon cheeseburger and his fries were similar to mine. He let me sample the chili and this tasted a bit salty. Surely I had better chili the other day at the Crystal Palace! Well it was a meal and we made the best of it. Early the next day I thought I'd try the mobile ordering for myself. Haven heard I could save a few dollars here then ordering Tonga toast here over Kona Cafe I ordered two of them for our breakfast along with juice and coffee. Following the prompts upon arrival my order was prepared and ready to go! We sat down to try this famous banana stuffed toast I heard so much about. The crust was very difficult to cut and had this sweetness about it. However, once I managed to get to the inside, it was quite good! I don't know why they make the crust so hard to cut and all I had was one of those plastic knives. This is the budget restaurant at the Polynesian and it does cater to many. You can dine both inside or outside or better yet since it is bagged you can take your order back to your room and eat it there. You do have a variety of options here. I'm glad I had the opportunity to enjoy the Aloha pork and try the Tonga toast. Captain Cook's is located at the rear entrance to the Polynesian resort and is next to Pineapple lanai as well as the main pool. There are several areas to access it.

Yelp
Disney's Quick serve eatery at the Polynesian resort is a must go to when you're staying and want something to eat. The lines aren't long, well managed and they package everything up so you can take it to go if you'd like. Their menu consists of Polynesian inspired flavors or American offerings, and a kids menu. They serve coke products for you as well. Souvenir cups are available to purchase or, If you're using one of their paper cups, you are limited to 3 refills by their machines. There is seating available inside and out for your enjoyment, it is located near the volcano pool, so you can get your swim on just after you've eaten ( please wait 30 minutes though for practical reasons)

Yelp
As a local passholder - this is one of our favorite best kept secret quick service stops. It's consistently excellent quality food, decent prices (for Disney), and you can't beat the ambiance of sitting outside near the pool / Polynesian vibe. Occasionally, they won't let you park here because they have lots of people abusing the system and using their parking lot: but just hop over to TTC and park and ride the monorail in. There is something so nostalgic about the smell of the Polynesian lobby! We love that we can pop right next door for a dole whip afterwards. My only feedback is we have noticed over the last year: portions are significantly smaller. We hope Disney boosts back up in serving more food. I was still hungry after the Thai meatballs. My recommendation: the Thai coconut meatballs, pulled pork nachos or shrimp noodle bowl. Photos attached! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5

Yelp
food was flavorless... would not eat here again. I got the spicy chicken and rice bowl. It tasted like hot sauce on chicken with wet rice. not a fan

Yelp
This is the quick service restaurant at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The past few times I have eaten here have been when the wait for Trader Sam's nearby was too long so I opted to sit here and order drinks from the terrace bar outside. It's the next best option and you can bring them inside, if you're eating inside. My favorite menu item is Thai Coconut Meatballs. It comes with coconut cream sauce over rice. Delicious. The last time I was there, there was a nacho item on the menu. That was also excellent and good for sharing. They also have bottles of water and wine and beer in case you want to grab something from the refrigerator. They have a full soda selection that you can fill yourself. There are two rooms of seating so you can eat in the restaurant.

Yelp
Came in late after airport delay - Asian noodle salad was awful - way too salty. Fries were ice cold. Pork sandwich not flavorful. Skip this place if you can.
