I've been a huge fan of Captain Cookie since frequenting their Foggy Bottom location, so I was thrilled when they opened up a location closer to my home in Arlington. The cookie quality and variety is always fantastic. I enjoy when Aaliyah is managing the shop in Court House because she always has a positive and welcoming spirit/customer service and great cookie recommendations!

Today was my second time going there. I picked up to a TooGoodToGo order. I explained to the lady behind the counter why I was there and she just kind of tossed it on the counter. The bag either wasn’t sealed or came open when she put it on the counter. She seemed annoyed that someone came while she was trying to do something. I also purchased a scoop of salted caramel ice cream that was delicious. Although flavor of the ice cream and the cookies doesn’t make up for lack of friendliness or even just standard customer service. No one else was in the store so it’s not like the employee was in a rush to help someone else.

I have stopped by here a few times And I must say, it’s small and simple but the staff is friendly and the cookies are really good, particularly the oatmeal raisin cookies. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area and need a quick treat.

I came to the store this morning to pick up a TooGoodToGo order & the store was closed.. Came back at 1pm and the store was closed. Once the assistant manager came to her shift for the day she asked how long have I been outside and I explained to her since this morning.. Aaliyah was very helpful with getting my order.. She’s always helpful with everything when she’s there in the afternoon. This isn’t my first time coming in the morning and the store was not open! Thanks again Aaliyah for your patience.. Hope she’s get the fair treatment she deserves!

My son and I drove a total 45 minutes to get to this location, and thanks to Marco, it was all worth it. We left a late dinner in DC to drive 30 minutes to the Foggy Bottom location. They didn’t have six of the more popular cookies (including chocolate chip, confetti, and snickerdoodle)!. After being told at that location that it would be 30 to 45 minutes before any new chocolate chip were ready, we decided to go to the Arlington location for the first time. We drove there hoping for the best. No wait, fresh cookies, coming out as soon as we walked in, and Marco delivering excellent service made us want to get even more cookies and ice cream than we had planned on. We ate inside, Marco was a great host, and when we return, it will be to this location. Thanks Marco!

My recent experience at the new location of Captain Cookie & The Milkman introduced me to a familiar haven of sweet indulgence. As a fan of their delectable cookie creations, the prospect of a new venue stirred anticipation, but the visit presented a blend of positive aspects and considerations for the aspiring sweet-toothed patrons. Commencing with the positives, the essence of Captain Cookie's charm is, of course, encapsulated in their delightful array of cookies. From classic chocolate chip to inventive flavor combinations, the cookies continued to showcase the brand's commitment to quality ingredients and a passion for crafting sweet treats that appeal to a diverse palate. The familiar flavors, while comforting, also hinted at a potential for further innovation to entice patrons with novel cookie adventures. The establishment's new location, while average in its appearance, carried the promise of becoming a go-to destination for cookie enthusiasts. The layout and design, while not particularly remarkable, provided a functional and welcoming space for patrons to savor their favorite treats. The success of Captain Cookie & The Milkman's expansion may hinge on infusing the venue with the same character and charm that has endeared the brand to its loyal customer base. However, there were notable considerations that arose during the visit. The aroma within the venue seemed to lack the enticing allure one might associate with a bakery specializing in cookies. A more pronounced and inviting scent could elevate the overall experience, drawing customers in and enhancing the anticipation of the delightful treats that await. Cleanliness also emerged as a notable area for improvement. While not egregious, there were subtle indications that a bit more attention to tidiness could enhance the overall impression of the venue. Ensuring a consistently clean environment is crucial for fostering a positive and comfortable atmosphere, aligning with the expectations of patrons seeking a delightful cookie adventure. In conclusion, Captain Cookie & The Milkman's new location, while offering the same delightful cookies that patrons have come to love, presents both opportunities and considerations. The success of this expansion hinges on infusing the venue with the charm and character that define the brand, addressing considerations related to scent and cleanliness, and continually delighting customers with a variety of irresistible cookie creations. I look forward to witnessing the growth and success of this sweet venture in the local culinary landscape.

We love Captain Cookie! Two birthdays in a row we’ve gotten cookie cakes; they’re SO delicious, a crowd pleaser, and half the price of a cake. The cookie ice cream sandwiches are divine!

There was an issue the first time I went, but the staff and management worked hard to fix the issue, and the cookies are great!
