Captain Jays Fish and Chicken

The store was nice and clean. A little bit of misunderstanding with the team members in trying to place the order. It involved the promotion of chicken being 79cents. The food was delicious to eat. Have also visited this location several times in past ordering food from them. The food is always nice and hot. On occasions have also order sides as well such as okra which was delicious to eat as well. They included hot sauce as well.

Called ahead and they didnt droo food till i arrived so i had to wait another 20 minutes while they prepared every doordash order

Ordered fish ... got chicken that tasted like fish.. horrible

I went in today food was cooked in dirty grease and we had a bug inside the coleslaw im reporting and sending evidence to health inspectors I don’t even want any food from here anymore smfh nasty and the grease literally is dirty our coating on chicken is darker then it should the Arab guy got aggressive on the phone because health inspectors have been contacted go elsewhere if you don’t wanna bite into a bug this guy is on the phone denying there’s a bug inside my food when it’s still inside the bowl and the chicken was prepared in dirty grease you can tell and look at food we will not return here again bad service,bad cooks we stood there for about 10 mins ain’t no way they cook that chicken fresh none wasn’t even cooking when I walked in

Went here late at night. Not good at all. Disappointed Captain Jays food is really good but here... as of last night... shame

Went there and ordered chicken tenders, potato salad, and hush puppies. When I got my order there was no potato salad, and no fork. I waited another 15 minutes for the person who took my order to come back to the window so I could get the potato salad I paid for. He told me he was the general manager and they don't have potato salad (he knows because he doesn't order it) and I ordered cole slaw. I didn't get cole slaw either. He said he forgot. 1) if you don't have potato salad then why is it on the menu 2) cole slaw and potato salad sound nothing alike 3) what kind of general manager argues with their customers 4) I never got an apology for either mistake or for calling me a liar

let's see what do I start first lady of all the Captain Jay's I've been to this is the only one that didn't have a line going outside of the door and I was wondering why so I put in my order just for some chicken and the chicken was done but it was standing on top of the counter for 5 minutes as well as my biscuits. naturally when I order chicken I will want a fresh without having to ask so when I asked the guy for new chicken or my money back he proceeded to become argumentative and asked me why I wanted my money backand as we know if I'm asking for my money back I don't have to provide a reason as to why I want it back so to be met with such dogmatism really shows the culture of Captain Jay's and I'll never come back to this one. my recommendation if you're going to spend the same money anyway just go a couple miles up the road and go to the Captain Jay's on 9 Mile and Kelly where the food is always hot and always fresh

The next time y’all serve okra or whatever poke holes in the container. My okra was soggy as hell from the heat! Ventilate it! Poke holes that goes for the chicken too.

I'm in town for a few days, and I had high hopes for this place. I've never eaten such bland, un-seasoned fish. So disappointed. Wow, just wow.

The window at the drive thru that they put your food/change in is so completely disgusting that I'm glad that I decided not to order from this place because if you, as an employee couldn't see OR didn't have enough good sense to clean that....I shudder to think what else is happening in that nasty kitchen. Clearly the employees have no pride in their operation.

Never answer the phone food overpriced and not as good as it use to be !!!They really need to do better if I could give it zero stars I would !
