Captain Jay's Fish & Chicken

Went to Captain Jay's Fish & Chips and had a wonderful experience 😋 At first, the order was not to my liking. It contained lemon pepper on my fish and chicken. I am not a fan of the flavor on my food. I told the staff and IMMEDIATELY!! They squared me away with a fresh order without it!! NICE AND PIPING HOT 🔥! THANK YOU CAPTAIN JAY'S! I appreciate your awesome prompt service and IMMEDIATELY making things right! 5 STARS 🌟 DELICIOUS FOOD 😋

Man, I gotta give props where it’s due. I wasn’t expecting much when I pulled up, but this young brother really held it down. He was focused, respectful, and his customer service was on point. The way he worked with his team showed real leadership and maturity—way beyond what you usually see in spots like this. You could tell he actually cared about how he treated people. Give that man a raise—he’s doing more than just the job.

Good customer service, however my food wasn’t fried to perfection like it normally is. My fries were greasy, hush puppies dang near burnt and lacking on quantity. I can tell they have a new cook. The best captain jays is on 7 mile and the lodge I believe. It’s always cooked to perfection they give you great quantity and it’s always super hot! I also asked for a lot of lemon pepper and can’t even taste it and they put 0 condiments in the bag. The food was eatable nothing to write home about. They also didn’t have any koolaid and only 3 drinks to chose from as far as fountain drinks. It was also burnt fries in my hush puppies

Food is usually good but there is always a long wait time. They always tell me 10 minutes over the phone, but it usually takes 30 minutes so I know when to leave out now. Yesterday I called my order in at 2:55 pm and did not receive my order until 3:55! And idk if the cashier thought I was playing but he told me that I didn’t wait the time I know I waited. On top of that the chicken was nasty, don’t know if it was old or what but I just feel as if I wasted my time and money. I started going to this one because the food was fresher than the one on 6 mile but now I need to find a better location.

9-5-2019 I found hairs that look like weave on my chicken skin. I bought 2 boxes of 5.99 leg and thigh. I called the store. Jennifer the manager said she was going to replace both boxes of chicken and she was going to give me a bottle of soda for what happened. Jennifer said just come up here today or tomorrow and we will remake it for you................I went back up there today 9-6-2019 and brought what she said to bring back. She only gave me only 10 when they said they was going to replace all plus 1 soda for what had happened. And Jennifer was VERY RUDE to me. She didn't have to be so mean to me like that. That was so rude for her to be so mean to me and I never had an issue there. They was always so nice to me but until the manager JENNIFER WAS RUDE AS EVER. I DONT EVEN WHAT TO GIVE THAT CHICKEN TO MY KIDS BECAUSE SHE WAS SO RUDE TO ME ABOUT WHAT THEY DID WRONG ABOUT HAVING HAIR IN THERE CHICKEN. No

I paid with a EBT card for my Grandma and her food was not right and she got mad at me for not checking the food so please check your food before leaving

The food was definitely cooked in old chicken grease don’t eat there!

Super friendly staff and the chicken is pretty unique. I wasn't impressed by the sides at all.
