"This homey Italian stalwart — founded in Queens Village in 1970 and expanded to a second location in Long Island — doles out five kinds of soups. The chicken soup boasts shreds of chicken, chunks of carrots, and little balls of pastina that roll around in every mouthful." - Caroline Shin

It was a very nice classy Italian dinner spot. The lights were dim, they have booths, and table seating. They do have outdoor seating for those who are not vaccinated, please provide your cards if you are. The outdoor seating isn’t the best, it’s not a pretty side street. However 5 stars goes to their food! It’s delicious! The service is good but they could get some more uplifted waiters. They seemed tired and unenthusiastic, understandable…

Came across this place while searching for Italian style food for dinner. Ordered the eggplant Parmigiano and chicken Parmigiano. Pickup was quick, food was packaged very well. The chicken parm was tasty, the sauce was not bad at all. I get the feeling the food may be better in a sit down setting as I got this order to go. The eggplant parm was decent. There was no silverware in the to go box and there was too much sauce on the pasta.

Cara Mia is the best Italian restaurant around.Been going there for years and years. They are relocating (not far) but we are sure going to miss having them so close by. Food is excellent always, never a bad meal. Portions are generous. Staff is amazing, so friendly and welcoming.. generous drinks, too. A must try !

The pasta is always cooked fresh and my lasagna was perfect. The red sauce is so good and its not like some resturants where the red sauce gives you heart burn. The sauce is perfect. The bread came out warm and toasty for the table. The service was also very good. I absolutely love the mango martini and would recommend that. Average cost for 2 people will probably be over $100. If its packed it will be VERY loud inside so if your looking for a quiet place this isn't it. Outdoor seating could use some work to enhance the decor or vibe.

Their service is great but pay attention to the bill. They say beer 2 for 1 charged 10 okay then I just drank one but still charged 10 instead of the regular price. Ordered the mussels some came empty. If you do not order a break down of the bill you will not realize the tip Is included so you tip twice. When the bill is brought to the person it needs to be clear and precise the person should not have to ask for a breakdown on the bill.
