"I paid $15 for a quart of sour cherries sold by Caradonna Farms, which comes from Marlborough, New York, just south of Poughkeepsie on the west side of the Hudson River. Because sour cherries are intensely tart and very perishable—lasting only a few days and usually available for a couple of weeks in early summer—they're prized by bakers for making cherry pies, fruit crumbles, clafoutis, and muffins; Monroe Boston Strause even recommends the red sour pitted cherry for pie and cautions that the juice must be saved when pitting. Their scarcity and perishability help explain the price, a quart is apparently enough to make a pie, and I dare you to buy one and not eat a few before you bake." - Robert Sietsema

One of my fave farm stands and so easy to stop by alongside Route 9W. The veggies are fresh and delicious, and the fruit…wow! I bought the nectarines last week, let them ripen, and they were so sweet and juicy. Perfect for my yogurt snack. They also had local honey and maple syrup, which I’m enjoying. Then I picked up a bouquet of lovely autumn like flowers last week. I know, I know…it’s more expensive to buy directly from a farm; however, I want to do more to support our local farmers. Look forward to stopping by soon!

I love this place! Yes, it is pricey, BUT the product is worth the $$. Everything from fresh veges and fruits to gorgeous, well cared for flowers and plants!. We bought the hand made goat milk soaps, the Apple Butter, a Virgil Root Beer and fruit and veges. We were NOT disappointed. The owner is such a sweetheart!

The perfect farm stand! We buy all of our produce here. They have veggies as well as cheese, local artisan products and of course plants. The owner is wonderful.

This is our third year being a customer at Caradonna Farms. We purchase seedlings in May-June. Flowers both, perennials and annuals. In July onward we support them. by buying veggies. Yes the price is higher than local grocery stores. However, it's vital to support all local farmers. Plus the owners are AWESOME folks.

I was trying to figure out where I stopped on my way home from my fall foliage trek adventure this week, and it wasn’t until I spotted the charge on my bank statement that I was able to Google you and find you. Such a great farmstand, and I had a great conversation with the owner. But I’m leaving this review because I just finally ate the sweet potatoes and they were SO DAMN GOOD. WOW. Great variety and very fresh vegetables! This place is a good example of “you get what you pay for.” The prices were higher than the store, but comparable to other farm stands. The flavors were outstanding!!! It’s sad going back to eating supermarket produce. I will be back when they open in the spring.

Best Farm Stand I've ever stopped at! This farm has a stand set up at the entrance to their farm right on 9W in Marlboro. The stand offers everything from fresh veggies, lettuce, apples, in season fruits (the grapes right now are AMAZING) to honey and flowers. The stand is equipped with lights and sprayers to keep the produce fresh. I'll be stopping here anytime I'm in the area and may even consider driving here on a Saturday just to stock up on fresh items. This one is worth a drive!

If you are going upstate NY and have extra time, take the Farmers Road ( I think I-81/sorry I'm a backseat driver). This route is longer but more scenic and full of farms. This stand had a clear front entrance with a great variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey, pickled items and on....The back has a selection of plants and potted herbs. Outstanding heirloom tomato and the colors, wow! Prices are higher than what you get at your local places but it's worth it...fresh from farm to table.

This farm stand has a good variety of fruits and veggies, but their prices are higher than most. $7 the other day for 2 tomatoes, and they won't let you buy just one! I'd buy my produce at Adams in Newburgh, much more reasonable.

We've made a tradition to always stop here on our way back from Apple picking. This is a little food stand on the side of the road. They have potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini, onions, garlic, leafy greens and some seasonal fruit like Apples and grapes. While the produce seems very fresh, the prices are a little high. But I mean you are paying for quality so I don't mind. The people working here seem nice and are always helpful. Their produce does last me longer than the supermarket stuff, which is why I always buy from them. There are many farm stands to buy from so you have options. See you guys next Apple season!

Every year, for the past several years, we look forward to the availability of the fresh fruits and vegetables at Caradonna Farms. Their prices are on a par with supermarkets but their quality is so much higher. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. We've never had a bad experience. If you want super fresh produce and herbs, that have a much longer shelf life than most others, Caradonna Farms is where you you want to go. We're waiting very impatiently for our first trip up this year.

My wife who frequented Caradonna Farms was waiting for them to open. The (I presume) owner was asked at the gate what time they open, she responded "When I open". It was past 9:00 am & my wife was waiting for around 15 minutes. She asked a worker what time they open and was told 9:00 am. I'm happy Caradonna Farms is independently wealthy as the attitude received guarantees no further business from my wife or family. We like to patronize the local businesses but expect respect in doing so. Have a nice life Caradonna Farms with 1 less local family customer!
