"Cardullo’s Gourmet Shoppe debuted at 99 Seaport Blvd. this week, offering a hefty selection of retail food and beverage items and featuring a deli counter serving up plenty of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Cardullo’s first opened in Harvard Square (5 Brattle St.) in 1950, and over nearly seven decades, it has sold everything from wine and beer to cheese, chocolate, tea, and assorted other retail goods. The shop’s deli counter has always been a popular lunch option in the neighborhood. Now open in Seaport, the new Cardullo’s serves coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, while the afternoon menu includes charcuterie, cheese, soups, salads, and the shop’s signature sandwiches. Options range from a classic meatball sandwich served on a baguette with provolone cheese to the Cuban sandwich with pickles and mustard, and there are new options, including a chicken pesto sandwich, that will appear at the original location as well. On the retail side, customers will find olive oil, salts, pasta, sauce, jams, chocolate, wine, beer, and more, and unlike the Cambridge location, Cardullo’s Seaport has some small-batch spirits for sale as well. Cardullo’s also offers catering and wine and beer delivery, and the Seaport location will eventually hold wine, cheese, and chocolate tasting events. Swing by the new shop between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sundays." - Dana Hatic

Google
Looking for a quick bite after a movie, and husband suggested a sandwich place near his old office that he hadn't been to in a while, but remembered enjoying. Cardullo's did not disappoint! I got the chicken parm sub, and the bread, chicken cutlet, and cheese were top notch. The sauce could have had a bit more flavor, but overall the sandwich was fantastic. My husband had the Reuben and loved it. My friend had the Pilgrim, and thought the stuffing was the only weak point as it had too much of an herb which made it overpower other parts of the sandwich. However, this was not enough to ruin the sandwich, and she still found it to be delicious. While we were waiting for the food, we explored the rest of the shop. We didn't buy anything else, but I will definitely go back in the future to purchase the unique candies, snacks, and specialty items they have from England and other countries which you won't find in a typical grocery store here. I regret not asking where they get their bread! Store was also very clean, and staff were helpful and friendly.

There are lots of specialty items. Lots of German foods. I bought bread, butter, edam cheese and a few german candy. Everything was great. They also have a great wine and liquor selection.

Google
Great little shop with a huge selection of specialty food and liquor. They have wine, beer, and cider as well. Some of our favorite items were the tea selection and the chocolate from all over the world. Staff was fine but no one offered to help us find anything and they threw away my receipt without even offering to give it to me. The store is a bit pricey but it is great for what it is. We would highly recommend this place!

Google
A nice shop with a variety of international products from chocolate, cheese, tea and wine. They also serve breakfast and lunch sandwiches. My first try was the Queen wrap (bland - no flavor) but I'm willing to give it another try since they are so conveniently locate to my job.

Google
Cardullo's is an excellent store to buy snacks and some niche food items. I will never forget their small aisles filled with all different kinds of food—it's what makes them unique! They also have amazing sandwiches from their deli (pictured below—will update upon future visits). Their Rachel sandwich is delicious and so is their chicken parm sub.

Victoria Ferrera

Google
truly had the most horrifying "chicken cutlet" sandwich from this place. the chicken was fake and rubbery and had no texture that resembled chicken. should be ashamed to call this a gourmet shop.

Paul Dassau

Google
If you like mediocre sandwiches at an extremely high price, this is your spot. Extra star for a decent booze selection.

Fun little store with hands down one of the best deli’s I’ve ever had. LOVED IT.

Yelp
Cardullos is a fun gourmet shop right in the heart of Seaport. This sandwich shop and grocery store is great for a quick and fresh lunch! I went with the classic turkey and they did not disappoint. Fresh bread, produce, and turkey was a delightful midwork lunch. Also the staff was friendly and polite which was very nice especially during a busy lunch rush. Definitely worth stopping by if you're looking for a quick lunch.

Yelp
Flavors - 2/5 Textures - 4/5 Presentation - 3/5 Value for money - 2.5/5 I've been wanting to go here for a while because their sandwiches look delicious but was fairly disappointed. I had their signature chicken pesto sandwich, which comes with grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, pesto, lettuce and tomatoes on ciabatta bread. The bread was probably the best part because it's excellent quality, chewy soft interior with a mildly crispy crust. My problem is that they violate all the rules of making a good sandwich: - Ingredients were scattered and uneven. - Layers were unsalted (veggies, mozzarella) - Ingredients without purpose (lettuce) The result was a bland sandwich that was very difficult to eat without everything falling apart. It's a shame because they use decent ingredients and the portions are generous.

Yelp
Favorite wine shop in town!! Cardullo's has a wide selection of wines; very organized by geographical location (and color) and easy to find in the store. In addition to wine, they carry liquor (just at this store in Seaport), beer, whiskey, and seltzers. The staff is always friendly and willing to help me find whatever I'm looking for. They even allow me to bring my pup inside the store every week while I shop for what I need. Cardullo's has a large selection of quality cheeses, chocolate, jam/honey, spices, candy, meats (prosciutto, salami), and crackers/chips. I've never been disappointed in any of the cheese I've bought here- they're all very tasty (and a handful are constantly rotated so you'll always have new ones to try). They also sell some very local (and niche) products - clam chowder, pickles, cookies, syrup, nuts, and tea. During the day they have a deli area of the store where you can order a fresh sandwich (just expect a long line around lunch time). Prices are fair (and the average) for their wines. Love this store and will keep coming back. Note all the ever-changing gift baskets they have throughout the store; make for great gifts around the holidays or birthdays!!

Yelp
Very neat little store. Loved looking at the specialty items on the shelves while we waited for our sandwiches. Workers were nice as well. Sandwiches are huge and very fresh. We definitely could have shared one. We had the Hungry Rower and chicken pesto. They were lacking a little flavor, maybe just needed some salt or more pesto.

Yelp
This place is pretty cool, we stopped by here yesterday after going to ICA. My friends had been here before and thought I might enjoy it. They have tons of chocolate, cheese, charcuterie board-type ingredients, and other things here, as well as wine and beer. I ended up going home with some chocolate, a chocolate bar made out of oat milk (I was intrigued), some rainbow "fruit by the foot"-looking stuff, and some caramels with Cape Cod sea salt, for my parents. My friends bought some garlic pita chips, cheese, and other things. They also had McClure's pickles which was interesting (I live in the Detroit area, and they're a Detroit brand) and some lemon-dill pickles that looked tasty. I tried the oat milk chocolate last night, it tasted slightly less chocolate-y than normal milk or dark chocolate but the sea salt flavor was definitely there. The shop is a bit pricey hence the 4 stars from me instead of 5, but overall it's worth checking out.

Bethany W.

Yelp
I love this place!! The staff are super nice and helped me pick out the wine I needed, and I got a yummy mozzarella sandwich too. Really fun selection of snacks from round the world. I could spend soooo much here its dangerous lol.

Gina K.

Yelp
Adult candy store! What a great concept! Candy and drinks all in one place. This place has a great selection as well

Sarah G.

Yelp
Probably some of the grossest food in boston. I've never had a sadder caprese sandwich in my life. At least add a drizzle of balsamic or oil!!

Nancy K.

Yelp
CARDULLO'S is such a super, lovely grocery to have at Boston seaport .. beautiful Mazipan cakes, nice cheeses , saw a large bottle of Compari , perfect for a Christmas present ; honey from france , Italian gorgeous cookies and chocolate from around the world . Teas and coffees to try with Sambuca ! I love reading the labels , perfect Christmas gifts !!

Maggie M.

Yelp
Pretty cute place, don't expect to get your groceries here but you can find some fun interesting beers, wines, and snacks! I also noticed they had a food bar thing out back but I have yet to try it!

Denise M.

Yelp
I go here all the time for the great food. However was very disappointed recently when I ordered and went to pay. Got to the register and was charged more then usual. I looked at the menu and then questioned the cashier. The response was we changed the price but it isn't updated anywhere. Good luck when you go there you never know what price you will pay. I won't return as the price now is too high for what you get. Also the substitutions that are made to orders without warning. Greek salad with mozzarella anyone?

Mary S.

Yelp
We ordered a number of sandwiches for a work lunch, including ~6 caprese sandwiches. ALL of them were missing basil. When a sandwich has only three ingredients (mozzarella, tomato, and basil) the presence of all three items is pretty important. Sandwiches were thus incredibly bland. We were all quite upset given the price. I probably would not return.

Charles F.

Yelp
Nice selection of gourmet foods, and bear in mine that if you buy something that tastes terrible they will have no sympathy for you. They will look at the sell date and say "it isn't expired." And that will be that.

Christine A.

Yelp
I literally dream about their sandwiches. Italian and hungry rower are my favorites so far. Still working my way through the menu. Their sandwiches are massive and delicious.

Karen 2.

Yelp
they have good finds here. the quality of goods is definitely on the better side. layout of store is more on the crammed side.

Quentin C.

Yelp
Nice wine selection and they were very helpful. And if you want a $60 box of chocolate, go for it, though the Haribo gummibears were more my style.

Nick M.

Yelp
Cardullo's is a great spot to have down here in the Seaport. They have a fantastic deli with a variety of very tasty specialty sandwiches as well as standard cold cuts, cheeses and deli staples like potato salad. The beer, wine and liquor selection is top notch with some really unique offerings you won't find many other places around. It's a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for and it's absolutely worth it. Sad to see they removed the pate sandwich from their menu but they still have my absolute favorite the Iberian which is Serrano ham, quince paste and manchego cheese!

Katherine C.

Yelp
I was excited to find a Cardullo's close to my hotel. I was disappointed by this particular location. The hours posted online stated 8 am, but it didn't open until 9 am. When I entered the store, a horrific loud noise was buzzing throughout. We were barely acknowledged by the staff and no one offered us assistance. There was no explanation for the noise. We left the store after a few minutes because we could no longer tolerate the noise. I hope to give this place another chance the next time in town. I might try the Harvard Square location instead.

Yelp
In search of the best lobster roll in the seaport district. This is the top value lobster roll. At $17 per lobster roll, I could buy two of these for almost the same price as one lobster roll at all the restaurants in the area. The lobster roll is good. Lots of chunks of claw meat comes on a potato roll, New England style hot dog bun. The lobster has a light coating of mayo on a bed of lettuce in the hot dog bun. You get about the same amount of lobster that you get at Row 34 and Gather, but for half the price. Since Cardullos is a sandwich shop, all you get is the lobster roll, but there are plenty of gourmet chips, etc that you can buy too go with it. The one suggestion I have to make this a five star lobster roll would be to toast the bun. If they would toast the bun, I would give it five stars. The only bad news is that you can't get it every day. They didn't have any lobster on Monday, but they did have it on Thursday.

Yelp
**MY FAVORITE SANDWICHES!!** Cardullo's lunch sandwiched are fantastic. Everything they make is QUALITY and DELICIOUS! Their Chicken Parm and their Reuben are great. Want to know bout their BEST KEPT SECRET? Cardullo's Breakfast Sandwiches. They are the best I've ever had. My recommendation to management, is to open a tad bit earlier during the weekday's and promote your breakfast a bit more. I work right next door and would love to grab one on my way into work. Good Prices. Good food. Great Service. A+++

Ella B.

Yelp
I work in the vicinity and am a fan of supporting local businesses. I cater for my office from here, usually 2x more expensive, but it's convenient and the sandwiches are tasty. Great little store with some hard-to-find goodies and a good wine selection - saved me a couple of times for after work gatherings and I was able to grab a nice bottle. What is really prompting me to write this review is their catering; I ordered something to be catered and even offered to pick up when I ordered, I was told, "no, it's fine, we can deliver". Ok terrific! It saves me from leaving the office in cold weather, but again, I was perfectly willing to pick up. My platter was ready an hour before it was due, (thumbs up) but they called and rather than saying: I am sorry, we are short staffed today so I will not be able to deliver as we discussed and my apologies for the inconvenience, would you mind picking it up? To which I would have gladly agreed. Instead I got this: "The platter is ready. Rather than you sitting in your office waiting for me and wondering where it is, I wanted to let you know it's ready". I know the differences between the two are subtle, but recognizing that you are now proposing a different solution and implying that I "sit around" all day b/c I work in an "office" (as opposed to, food services? catering?) is presumptuous and rude. The first key good customer service is to recognize that it's an inconvenience since I scheduled my day around the fact that the food will be delivered. No. I don't "sit around all day" waiting for things just b/c I work in an "office" I actually do work, while different than catering work, I also run around and have to perform customer service and operations work. all. day. Go figure. We also cater from other Seaport locations and always receive excellent customer service (even if it's different from what is initially discussed), but if a change is needed, they come out and say it and we find a new solution. Well, Cardullos - you're right about one thing, I did sit and compose this review in 5 mins.

Katerie B.

Yelp
I usually enjoy Cardullo's sandwiches which is why I didn't give 1 star, but I decided to try a hot sandwich the other day. I ordered the cuban sandwich and I can't have mustard or pickles so I asked to not put those on. And I received a ham and turkey sandwich. No cheese, no heat/pressing had occurred. Why would I want that? I would've gotten a craft sandwich instead. I guess don't order the hot sandwiches. I also ordered over the phone so why wouldn't you communicate that you can't heat the sandwich? Or change the name on the menu to specialty sandwiches rather than hot sandwiches. Quick fix but what do I know. Also why wouldn't you put any other cheese if you ran out of swiss???? I don't understand what went on, but will probably be avoiding for now

Lucreiza B.

Yelp
Even though this place a bit of trip getting to from my work. The staff and quality of goods are top notch all the way. Espicslly during the fall season they are only carry my favorite Irish potato chip called roast turkey stuffing which I can't find anywhere even on the internet. Support your your local businesses

Cal G.

Yelp
This is the second time I've been given a chicken salad wrap with hardly any chicken... went in to ask for more and was told this is all you get... will not be returning

Victoria K.

Yelp
Amamzing food here and execcelt liquor. Finely curated. Staff super helpful. Great food baskets!

Yelp
In case the last few times weren't enough, my friend who does not eat pork ordered a turkey sandwich today, and surprise she opens it to find prosciutto. I called in our lunch order, specifically for the reason to not get it messed up, went downstairs to get it. I asked 3x to make sure they did it correct, the cashier said of course. My friend ate some and opens up the wrap to find prosciutto. Not sure if this is some sort of joke or anti Semitic attempt (who knows w things going on these days), but now my friend feels physically ill bc she's so unused to pork. How careless do you have to be? Not an apology not a care. Who do you actually pay attention to? Daily customers? I sure would've been one if you hadn't royally messed up my simple order every single damn time. Shame on you.

Billy C.

Yelp
I was always a huge fan of the Cardullo's in Harvard Square, and it's only become more impressive under the new owners. I was very excited to find another location opening up near my office, and I've been going here about once a week for lunch since then. The deli menu is delicious in general, but my go-to is the Queen's Wrap. They also have a great selection of mid and upper tier beer, wine, and liquor if you're looking for the good stuff.

Ryan B.

Yelp
I don't know what the other reviewers of this shop are talking about. This is, flat out, a great Italian market with a delicious selection of sandwiches and bakery treats. The service was prompt, despite there being only one server behind the deli counter. Would definitely come here again to get a sub.

Taryn J.

Yelp
I go to Cardullos maybe 3 times a week (I live right down the street). They have the BEST sandwiches and salads in the area, and are quick with orders. Great selection of wine with a ton of knowledge from the staff. The only thing I would say is I wish they opened earlier than 11am some days when I want the Seaport Speck (a personal breakfast favorite!). Keep doing what you're doing!

Neil R.

Yelp
DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS your money. I ordered thru Chow Now, got charged, and never received my food. Cardullo's refused to credit me for the food I never received, hiding behind the inefficient service they hired to deliver it. In the end, I paid and they failed to deliver. Period. Had they simply apologized and redelivered I would have been fine with the delay. They did not.

Erica E.

Yelp
Cool shop definitely, but how can they charge me the same price for different amounts of coffee beans, and basically overcharged me for both, because their cashier doesn't know how to use a scale? Smh. And why is a pack of British digestives labelled as 1.65 bucks in the UK sold for 6 bucks here? It's a nice concept, but seems clueless. I hate to feel like I have to be on guard from getting ripped off...

Patrick F.

Yelp
Cardullo's is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. The sandwiches are the best in the city and they carry hard to find gourmet items that make stopping here a must whenever I am in the area. Incredible chocolates, cheeses, and a wonderfully curated selection of beer, wines and liquors mean I always leave with new things to try I have never seen before anywhere else. When they first opened, the place was packed for lunch and they did not seem prepared for the onslaught but it appears they staffed up and recent visits have been quick and easy.

Sal W.

Yelp
Cardullo's. I have been going there for about a year and I have always been amazed at the staff who are so knowledgeable and professional. However on Saturday april 3 2022 my fiancee and I went to pick up several items. Unbeknownst to us we left the shop without our sandwich. As we left the store "Mike" who already went above and beyond in helping me previously, came running after us to bring our sandwich to us. I know that in this day and age where kindness and being human is in short supply. I found this small act of kindness to a fellow human to be outstanding.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Seemed fun at first to look around, but was immediately turned off by the cold, impatient, and unpleasant cashier lady with glasses.

Elaine B.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE! Imported chocolates you cannot get anywhere else, teas from around the world, rare gourmet items...a treasure trove of delectable delights. The hidden gem here is the gift baskets. I send Cardullo's gift baskets as corporate gifts and to friends and family and everyone loves and looks forward to them. They are unique with something for everyone. Always a huge hit.

Sue P.

Yelp
I can't imagine that this business is going to make it. The products they carry on the shelves are fine, but I think one of the main reasons people go in there is for the sandwich counter. My son and I went there today and stood waiting at the counter for a long time with nobody coming to help us. And it wasn't because they were busy because there was hardly anyone in the store and we were the only ones waiting at the counter for service. The people working there saw us but seemed uninterested in helping us. It was weird. We decided to leave and definitely won't be returning.

DK J.

Yelp
Random selection of groceries, some healthy brands and liquor. NO pricetags, simply disrespect! Not sure for how long they can stay open just of small prep food counter. This area needs a real market. The Whole Foods should come along with Amazon office building.

Jack H.

Yelp
This is a nice little place with a ton of local craft beers available--only wished I'd found it sooner during my visit.
