Where do I begin with how cool this arena is?! Went in March for the Men’s CAA basketball tournament and got to enjoy several games even though my favorite team got bounced in the 2nd round. There’s no bad seat in the house and the intimate feel, makes mid major college hoops feel special. The staff was super friendly from the box office (which we bought tickets day-of for every game/session) to the concession workers who knew our drink orders by the end of the tournament. When you’re there four days in a row the staff begin to remember you which is awesome. If possible, my suggestion would be to take the green line train to Congress heights and it’s a super short walk. You can avoid all of the parking problems that people seem to have. Would definitely return for more basketball!

Washington Mystics games are a fun experience if you enjoy basketball and a high-energy crowd. The games are exciting to watch, and the fans bring a lot of energy to the arena. The atmosphere makes it easy to get into the game, and it’s a great event to attend with friends or family. The venue also offers food and drinks so you can enjoy the full game experience. Overall, Mystics games are a great way to enjoy live basketball in Washington, DC.

I went to the CareFirst Arena in Washington, DC to watch the Mystics vs. Atlanta game and had a great time! The atmosphere was energetic and the game was really enjoyable. The arena was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Staff were helpful and the seating offered a good view of the court. My only minor complaint is that the concessions were a bit pricey and the lines were somewhat long, but overall it was a fun experience. I’d definitely come back for another game!

This is a nice arena, now the aren around the arena is shaky at best. I will defintely go back to more events if they have them. Was able to see a boxing match and enjoyed it truly

I enjoyed my experience at CareFirst Arena for the Mystics vs. Liberty game! From the moment we entered—greeted by ticket takers, seat escorts, and vibrant signage—to our departure, the service was on par. The restrooms were well-stocked and maintained, adding to the overall positive experience. For improvements, I recommend informing ticket holders in advance if both mascots will be present. My sister was excited to see Big Ellie, but unfortunately, Ellie wasn’t there. Additionally, installing a rain awning for those waiting outside for rideshares would be helpful. The entrance area is small and can become congested during rainy weather when people are searching for their rides.

Great arena size that will keep the building packed. Perfect for the Mystics. Not necessarily a fan of the residential units so close by as it makes navigating the grounds a bit difficult, but the space is perfect for our Mystics. For some reason, tonight, 7/29/25, the arena felt like it had zero air. Fans were fanning themselves, and folks had towels and paper towels ready for use!. Either way, I would love a better Team Store option and more Mystics gear. Seems they fell short on the gear.

Been attending Mystics games since 2018 when they were in Capital One Arena and the games were always a good time. The ESA arena is a much better experience outside of the things there are to do outside of the arena. The best part for me is, especially on the first level, there is no bad seat. You can not only see all the action, hear players/coaches, and feel the emotions of the game. Often players from both sides will engage with fans high fiving, signing posters, and even a short talk after the game. When it comes to parking there are multiple parking garages, including one that is attached to the building. There is also street parking that you can pay for or parking lots around the arena. The Congress Heights station is a five min walk to the arena as well.
