I really wanted to love this restaurant, but unfortunately, the food fell far short of expectations. The jerk seasoning lacked authenticity—it tasted more like a generic Buffalo Wild Wings sauce rather than house-made Caribbean jerk. The oxtails were tiny for the price and completely drowned in sauce, making it hard to appreciate the meat.
My pasta dish was underwhelming, with only about two bell peppers and a single slice of onion (yes, I counted). The chicken was decent, but the flavors were bland and forgettable. For the prices charged, I expected much bolder, well-balanced seasoning.
On the positive side, the ambiance was nice—the DJ played great music at a volume that still allowed for conversation. The hosts were friendly, and service was attentive. However, when the manager came to our table *two minutes* after we were seated to apologize for the "wait on food," it was a major red flag. It felt like they knew the kitchen was struggling.
Overall, this place has potential with its vibe and service, but the food needs serious improvement. I have faith that they will get better over time.
