5 Exciting Things To Do & Eat In NYC Between December 8th-14th - New York - The Infatuation

"All the booths around the city with artisanal fudge and peppermint bath bombs are starting to blend together. If you’re looking for something different, Brooklyn-based CaribBeing is holding their 5th Annual Holiday Market in their CaribBeing House, a repurposed mobile shipping container you may have seen around Flatbush hosting art installations. Until Dec. 30th you can find them at the LeFrak Center in Prospect Park selling goods from Black-owned Brooklyn brands like Avalah and Perry Boyce." - neha talreja

I celebrated by birthday by doing caribBEING's food tour with a group of friends. No regrets!! While the food was (very) delicious, the main value of this tour is getting to know the neighborhood, the culture, the business owners, as well as incredible people that work at caribBEING. Even if we didn't visit all the places, the tour gave me a good sense of how much this neighborhood had to offer. I've already been back to visit a record shop and a Haitian restaurant recommended on the tour, DjonDjon--fantastic recs!

What a beautiful place and space that embodies the Caribbean environment outside. One can find so many great things to purchase to keep in connection with your Caribbean culture and to represent with Caribbean pride. Caribbeing is a must stop place to visit and shop!

I've been to two events at Caribbeing and I have also hosted one. I really appreciate how they have opened up this space to the community. Hopefully they get a larger space in the future because they do so much important work. Also, I love the items they have curated in the shop. I bought a Soursop candle that is my latest obsession.

This coffee is some of the best! Hatian java with honey-processed originality? Sign me up. Thanks again, team. You’re sweethearts.

So many things happen in such a small place. Very cute alternative space for vendors, art shows, screenings, etc. all creating conversations on Caribbean culture. They’re always up to something great.
