Google
Great vegan Cafe, gluten free options are clearly marked. We got a variety of sweet and savory and reccomend the sausage rolls and potato salad from the savory side. The almond cake and the pistachio cake were standouts of the sweets we tried. The cinnamon roll was good in flavor, but crumbled quickly. 4 stars as some of the dishes were very dry. We didn't care for the mushroom schmeat pie. But the garlic cheddar focacia bread was amazing. Atmosphere was bright and cheerful, and the counter holds a resident service dog (don't tap the glass) which was an extra treat while dining in. We will definitely return.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Carina and Amy went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, and their customer service was absolutely incredible. The cake not only looked beautiful but tasted amazing—and the fact that it was vegan made everyone even more thrilled. We received so many compliments! I think we just found our new go-to bakery. Thank you again for making everything so special! 🌟🎂

Google
Made the most beautiful and delicious Marzipan almond cake with our bow theme for our daughter’s baptism!! Seriously the most delicious cake I’ve ever had! I would give it 10 stars highly recommend!

Google
I ordered a custom cake for my husband’s birthday. It was so delicious and beautiful! All was as I wished. I chose a 4-inch cake, the smallest one. However, it was huge because of 3 thick layers 🥰 Their website says, the cake is for 2-3 servings, but we finished it with 6-7 servings. I know, Americans got used to large portions, maybe it was the reason for the cake description on their website. One downside I've met is that nobody answered my calls on the day before pick-up and the day of pick-up. I tried to ask them if I could pick the cake up 3 hours earlier because of the upcoming event. Anyway, I decided just to walk in there earlier that day and ask in person. It turned out my cake was already waiting for me. So I’m glad, I did that. Thank you, Carina, for such a delicious and beautiful cake!

Google
It’s a good breakfast and bakery restaurant in downtown Beaverton with a great community and social message helping people w/ disabilities by provision g work opportunities. The inside has farm store vibes and their menu has a lot of varied food options beyond pastries. Lots of vegan and gluten-free options. No Organic food options (yet) so ask them to add some.

Amanda Thompson

Google
All vegan bakery! Everything was delicious. I love that they had a good mix of sweet and savory options. They have breakfast and lunch options too! ALSO…they works with folks of varying levels of disability because they believes everyone should have the opportunity to work in an industry that as a whole isn’t accessible. I love this. As a job coach who works with the I/DD community, I exxxtra love this. 💚

Google
I ordered a cake approximately 2 weeks prior to Mother's Day as a surprise for my wife who is allergic to dairy and therefore would think a vegan cake would be perfect. I placed an order for a red velvet cake with raspberry jam filling and what I received was not anywhere close to red velvet. I am not entirely sure what flavor the cake was, but most likely it was their Swedish spice cake. I contacted them through email several times notifying them of the situation. Because it was not the cake that I had ordered, I requested to receive a refund. After 72 hours, I have not heard anything back from the bakery. Not even a simple apology for the mix-up. At this time, I am out $55 for a cake that I did not order nor did we enjoy. In regards to the cake itself, we were only able to get through one slice. The frosting honestly was not too bad, but the cake itself was actually quite disgusting. It was dense as a brick and lacking in any particular flavor, which was why it hard for my wife and I to identify whether this was an off-colored red velvet or the Swedish spice cake. I am disappointed as this was one of the only bakeries that had a wider than normal selection of vegan or dairy-free cakes around town. Will stick with more reputable bakeries.

Google
Pastries were very good for vegan and GF, however the coffee / espresso was terrible. 4/10 for the espresso, milk also being incredibly over steamed. That being said, pastries hit a solid 8.5 / 10. I’d recommend if you’re GF or Vegan, however skip the coffee / espresso.

Yelp
Carina' Bakery is fully vegan with many gluten free options. They have savory and sweet and lots of options of both. Our favorites are their pistachio cake, almond cake, brownies, and cupcakes. I also live that they have hemp milk as one of their drink options (plus oat, soy, & coconut). The staff are very friendly and kind, many have visual impairments (there is a sign about it). There's also a little window along the counter where you can see the staff dog, if he's in. My daughter always hope to see him. The bakery is small so recommend planning your order to go but there are a few tables inside and a few more outside.

Yelp
In a world of $5 cookies, Carinas bakery is changing the game. A little over $1 a cookie and they are so good! They are a more normal sized cookie which is appreciated. I don't need one the size of my head. The staff is wonderful and kind. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Gracie P.

Yelp
The desserts are wonderful, especially anything with pistachio. I'm not even vegan but love stopping here for snacks because it's so tasty. It's small but clean and bright. The staff is always lovely & kind. It's one of my favorite places around

Yelp
I wanted to like this place so much but it really fell short, I got the pistachio cake and version of a cinnamon bun and both had a very weird flavor I can't put my finger on it, I do a decent amount of baking (vegan too) and I'm not sure if maybe I just got a weird batch? Also I got a lavender latte and the syrup they used was soo bitter it basically ruined the coffee, also inside definitely needs a little love looks sort of messy, overall unfortunate visit but maybe they'll turn things around!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the carrot locks. Creative and delicious! Also picked up some baked goods to bring home to the family. We loved the pistachio cake and mocha balls!! So many great gluten free and dairy free options - I will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've been vegan for a little over 4 years and tried a lot of vegan pastries. Carinas is exceptional. The gooeyest brownies, a great balance between sweet and flavorful. Would recommend their food to anyone, vegan or not.
google avatar

Yelp
We just tried their Girl Scout inspired Thin Mint and Samoa cookies. They were exceptionally delicious!!! Wasn't able to take any pics because we dug in to try them right away. My kids told me I should have bought more, and they were right. Don't miss out on these if you see them!

Yelp
Love this food so much. Highly recommend these pastries they're all amazing but especially the almond loaf. WOW!!! So yummy soft and gooey and tastes so great!! I love the pastries so much I bought gift cards as Xmas gifts for a baking class for my siblings and me to do. Can't wait to learn how to bake such yummy traditional Swedish gf vegan pastries.

Yelp
This is such a lovely bakery that excels in their offerings of sweet treats for vegans and non-vegans alike. I sampled an assortment of baked goods and everything was delectable! The raisin cookies were one of the best I've ever had (even compared with non-vegan options). The chocolate cupcake was moist and the frosting was decadent with a sprinkle of sea salt to enhance the flavor. It's apparent that a lot of thought was put into the process of baking every treat-not just to replicate, but also elevate the original dessert into an even more delicious, guilt-free version. I'm not vegan, but have started being more conscientious about where my food comes from so this was a nice foray into the world of vegan eating. It's great to see that you don't have to compromise taste for more ethical options.

Yelp
Absolutely love Carina's! I can never only get one treat. Everything is delicious, light, and flavorful. As a recently diagnosed celiac, I've had a hard time finding both vegan and gluten free bread and treats that aren't dense, flaky, and off putting. Carina's Bakery was a treasure to find! I bring friends and family whenever I can and we all leave happy with our treats and coffee. You can ask any worker for a recommendation for both treat and drink and you'll be satisfied. They have such a variety of treats, savory items, and drinks (coffee, tea, sodas). 10 out of 10 recommend!
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
This the best bakery in Beaverton! It's hard to believe the items are vegan (could have fooled me). Carina's Scandinavian heritage influences her products. My favorites include: coffee cakes (lingonberry, almond, pistachio and chocolate hazelnut). The Samoa cookie is light speed above other Samoa cookies. My favorite Scott is the cheeze and scallion biscuit! This was the first item I tried! I heated it briefly in the microwave and the first bite brought tears to my eyes it was so delicious! I also love the fact that her business provides employment to people with visual impairment. Having been an optician for more than 30 years I serious admire this .

Yelp
I am not a fan of Vegan or GF baked goods but Carina's is thus far the lone exception. I was surprised by the moist texture of the Earl Grey muffin, which had a terrific taste profile. The sticky bun was also enjoyable as well. I now look forward to trying their other offerings in the near future and having a more open mind towards Vegan/GF baked goods.

Victoria N.

Yelp
Every time I've been here the service has been quick and wonderful. The workers and Carina are a treat. Coffee has been good and never burnt. I am not usually a fan of GF flour so I usually go with the cookies instead of branching out into the "bready" things- though the almond cake I had was really good. If you're also cautious about GF things I recommend letting this place warm you up to them. The carrot lox is interesting in a good way. Definitely worth the stop!

Yelp
The dessert was OK, but the problem is that when I look up 'sugar-free bakery's' this was the first to pop up and as a diabetic I was ecstatic. When I got to the bakery I asked if they had any sugar free items, but they said that they "aren't really a sugar free bakery." I got a brownie anyway and it tasted ok despite the fact that the sprinkles were store bought and the cocoa in the brownie tasted bitter and stale. I ended up going to a place next door, and it was pretty good!

Yelp
The custom cake you made for my girlfriends bday! Fanfreakingtastic!!! Thank you so much!!! Yumm

Ronald K.

Yelp
*update* The owner reached out to me several days after the last review and graciously addressed my concerns. Although my review of the cake still stands, I appreciate the willingness to accept criticism and to offer a resolution for what I thought was a product that did not meet my expectations. For that, I think they deserve a better rating.

Yelp
I was in the mood for breakfast. It was 11am. My go-to spot happened to be closed due to a plumbing emergency, so I found this place. They only had a strange substitute for eggs using chickpeas so instead I was wooed by their offer of a grilled "cheese" made with vegan substitutes using cashew cream. I was asked if it was for eating in or to go. I said eating in. After struggling to connect to their wifi (I was handed a badly scribbled and tattered piece of paper showing their wifi password) I was handed my food in a box. I reminded the server that I was eating in, and asked them to make my food hotter for that purpose and on a plate. It came back slightly warmer, on a plate, but not "grilled". They explained that their equipment doesn't grill (but instead just warms?), but because I ordered a GRILLED cheese, I expected that it actually be grilled. I had to explain what that entailed. I waited for what seemed like 10 minutes, and the sandwich re-arrived, slightly warmer, but in no way grilled. I ate it because by this time I was really quite hungry. It was not good. It was flavorless, and I had to salt it to eat it, and worse - it was luke warm to cold in the middle. Yuck. I am sorry I left a 20% tip before being served, and I vowed to myself not to pre-tip ever again in the future. It was a rip-off. I left unsatisfied.

Yelp
Flavorful | Excellent variety | Not so welcoming **Update: For those looking to write an honest review, please be advised you may be contacted by Yelper troll named Ashley M.** What a unique find! It was our first time coming here. We were in the area and wanted something from a nearby bakery, so we checked Yelp and came here! They have delicious vegan/gluten-free treats. There is a lot to take in. We were overwhelmed (not really in a bad way) with all the options behind the glass and the menu. We wanted to pick out items we knew we couldn't find elsewhere, so we went with a few things our toddler loved and some unique finds--cardamom bun, pistachio cake, molasses crackles, chocolate cinnamon crinkles, hazelnut pan au chocolate, and Drommekage (Danish caramel and coconut treat). Every single item we ordered has amazing flavor, no doubt. We aren't sure if these are baked the same day though. It doesn't matter to us because we still enjoyed each bite, but it didn't taste fresh from the oven. Perhaps it was the time in the day that we came too... we came around 2 pm. Our favorite was the pistachio cake and cardamom bun. Definitely recommend those! The only reason why I knocked off one star on my review was very similar to another Yelper's comment (Preston C) about interaction with the staff. (Maybe it's because I'm Asian too. I don't know) Upon walking in, we were so excited to try this place out, but our level of excitement began to diminish with an awkward atmosphere. One person greeted us while the other stayed at the cashier like a statue. She didn't offer any help with the menu or ask us about what we were thinking of ordering. No conversation whatsoever. It was as if her one and only task were to attend to the cash register and that was it. The other lady came out to tell us what the most popular items were/what she liked, so that was helpful. Overall, I just didn't feel like I was welcome on my first visit and felt more like another customer they were waiting on to finish ordering. In my opinion, I (the customer) shouldn't be more friendly and engaging than some of the staff. Customer service is a little lacking. I think their menu could be written better because I was overwhelmed with the wall of text in two colors. I could digest the information better if the titles stood out, guiding me to what I was more interested in. Bottom line: This place has excellent flavors with a lot on the menu. It's a plus for being a vegan bakery. I don't feel like total crap after eating treats here. I would come back if I'm in the are

Yelp
Amazing chocolate cake! Lovely frosting - light and not "greasy". Chocolate & raspberry filling is perfect with the raspberry more like jam or jelly. Very good. Carina's is our go to for special occasion cakes.

Yelp
I stumbled on to this place. It has such a happy sunny vibe. I went in to nose around but left with 2 pastries and an americano. The sales lady was very helpful, polite and kind. I sent pictures to my vegan friends in Indiana and told them that she ships. I would love to go back for some see-food chowder with lion mushrooms.

Yelp
I'm gluten free, but not vegan and wanted to give this local spot a try. Mind you I only tried the cupcakes during this visit. Surprisingly to people who are not GF, GF cakes are honestly better than regular flour cake desserts due to not having that added protein. They're always fluffy, light and moist. However here, and it may be due to the vegan component, these cakes were very dense. Almost like a corn bread or even more than that. It was not a pleasant texture. The icing was also too sweet--which I've heard is a trend w vegan dessert--maybe the creaminess of dairy cuts the sugar flavor, but I wonder if adding a little citrus to the icing would help. That's what I do at home w a buttercream. For 5$ a piece, these were not it. I didn't even finish them. I may return to order another item, but for cupcakes, I'll go elsewhere.

Sasha M.

Yelp
Super cute little bakery and coffee shop in downtown Beaverton. I tried calling their seasonal hot soup (rhubarb) and sweet cream cold brew coffee. The soup was very delicious and fresh. All the other baked goods looked AMAZING as well.

Linda K. M.

Yelp
We had the Pecan Cake Ball and the Almond Cake. The Almond Cake was so delicious. It reminded me of the wonderful Marzipan we had in Toledo Spain. The Pecan Cake Ball was wrapped with a chocolaty delite around a pecan cake. Both desserts were so good especially for vegan desserts. I am allergic to cow's milk and have a hard time finding really good desserts. I found it here. I will be back the next time I am in Portland!

Yelp
I have tried to go hear numerous times, but it seems as though are schedules just weren't jiving. We finally had a free moment mid-day, mid-week, and decided to get some pastries. We got three different pastries, our fav was the marionberry bar. The owner was super sweet, and the dog house she had for her guide dog was adorable.

Yelp
Overall: YES FOR VEGAN DESSERTS! This place has delicious vegan/gluten free pastries and sandwiches with great prices. Will be coming back for sure. Atmosphere: There is no indoor seating but there was outdoor seating. There is a nice displace of all the pastries they have for the day which was helpful and not helpful at the same time as everything look really good! Food: First I got the hazelnut brownie and it was delicious! The brownie wasn't dry and was covered into chocolate and hazelnuts. Would highly recommend try it! Also tried the cheese and scallion biscuit, had it warmed up. It was very very good. It wasn't dry and was full of flavor. Would definitely get again. Lastly I tried the Single Smörgås which is a open style sandwich with a selection of veggies on top. Was very yummy! Service: The girl that took our order was very friendly and sweet. She answered all of questions and was very patient with us.
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
Stopped in for a treat based on the great reviews. I got the pear ginger tart, my wife the vanilla cupcake with strawberry buttercream frosting. Took it to go. At home getting them out of the box, we noticed that both were cold, like they had just come out of the refrigerator. Also the the crust of my tart had totally disintegrated into mush. The texture of my wife's cupcake and frosting was not pleasant. We realize vegan baking produces different results than traditional baking, but we've had vegan baked goods and these were not up to the standard, especially for the price.
google avatar

Jared K.

Yelp
Really love Carina's Bakery as well as the founder's story! We discovered it by complete accident looking for a good vegan bakery that was just a few short minutes from us (without having to go downtown). This was it!
google avatar

Mikhail H.

Yelp
I was so excited to check this spot out since it is so close to my home and I have quite a few vegans in my life. I thought at first that it was a cafe but it is more of a simple bakery. Me and a vegan buddy wandered over not long before closing so they probably have a lot more options during the day. They still had quite a few cookies, cakes and such. We grabbed a bit of an assortment for later and Carina was super sweet in telling me which cookies to consume quick to avoid the mush factor. We were not able to get to everything till much later and it all was pretty awesome. We tried the apple cake, vanilla meringues and the vanilla chocolate shortbread.

A P.

Yelp
Service review: As the website directs customers to call for platter orders, I called the bakery to place an order. The staff answering the phone was gruff and unfriendly. I got my order placed. When it was time to pick up at the bakery, the staff person working was also gruff, unfriendly. Most likely the same person as the earlier call. It is unfortunate to have such service like this!

Julie F.

Yelp
Our son introduced us to Carina's. They have the most wonderful vegan/gluten free cookies and deserts. Love their Americano coffee too!
google avatar

Yan W.

Yelp
Environment: Small and cute little area. There were a few small tables for seating but mainly display for the food and the kitchen in the back. Staff: Very friendly. Also, the coolest thing is that they hire people who may have some visual disabilities. I think this is great and can open more jobs for different people! Food: I got the chocolate hazelnut cake. It was $4.50. It was vegan and gluten free which I was surprised. I'm usually afraid to try those kinds of foods because if you alternate the flavor can differ and it can make the food harder or dryer. I had to microwave it a bit just because like many desserts, they do harden a bit. After heating it, the texture was better. There were a lot of hazelnuts and it was not that sweet. Again, first time trying vegan and gluten free food. Maybe I'll try a few more to officially decide on how I feel about it!

Yelp
The customer service here is great and everything item made here food or drink is top of the line good.

Yelp
Stopped in Carina's Bakery last week when a search on the internet revealed a Swedish heritage. Got a loaf of limpa bread which was amazing. Also tried several Swedish treats like almond loaf. Will go back and stock up for the holiday!

Ashley M.

Yelp
Loved this bakery - I popped in on a whim and so glad I did because I went back the next day, and the day after. Great GF and vegan options. The chocolate chip cookie was crispy and buttery and amazing. I'm a new loyal customer.

Kt G.

Yelp
So so so good!!!! I had a molasses cookie, pecan shortbread and some other impulse buy. Each bite was absolute perfection. These were definitely made with lots of love

Christa F.

Yelp
Such yummy treats. Always visit when I am in town. Great service as well. This place takes gluten/dairy free to the next level.
google avatar

Audra F.

Yelp
I'm so glad she is making it through COVID! And she is making a lot more of her items gluten free. I just had the best GF chocolate chip cookie ever. I hadn't been her in awhile and think she has a new recipe. I should have bought more/will have to go back soon It reminded me of my grandmas regular (gluten filled) cookies we looked forward to as kids. I don't think you could tell the difference! Great variety of sweets and beverages, even some meal items, nice people, cute shop, guide dog and they have a nice rewards program too-give them a try! Hiring people with low vision is awesome too. I've enjoyed: Chocolate Hazelnut Cake, Carmelita, Molasses Crackle, a yummy tea and more.
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
I have always seen this spot at events with their traveling stand but never gave it a fair shot. There are so many great vegan treat spots in this city but I am a major skeptic of GF stuff. NOTHING here disappointed and the staff was so kind- including their store pup! Heres what we got: a coffee, a lavender matcha, chocolate peanut butter brownie, lingonberry coffee cake, and the BEST was the almond cake, which they are known for. I think at other dietary restricted bakeries there is always one item that flops, but that was noooooot the case here! I cannot wait to try more. My brother is Celiac and when he gets home for break we plan on ordering some of the GF bread for the holiday season. Highly reccomend.

Yelp
Stop in on Saturday and picked up some of the Almond Snowflake ice cream ... love it! Tons of coconut which is my favorite! Can't wait to try the other flavors! Nice job ... grabbed a couple molasses cookies too... super crispy and so good

Yelp
Had food delivered. Tried the gluten free pumpernickel bread and carrot lox item. The lox was really tasty. Not sure what's in it but it all went well together and I felt all fancy. I really want to highlight the pumpernickel bread. It came cold or likely frozen in a ziplock bag. We didn't need to eat it until a few days later so we put it in the freezer. We ended up toasting it and eating it with potato soup and also made tempeh Reubens. The bread is so good I will order it again. It was chewy and crunchy. I also need NEED to try the millet and focaccia breads (all three are GF!). If you are GF, get this bread. It's a good find.

Yelp
Cosy little cafe in Beaverton. Swedish items on the menu. Since it is a vegan place, I got to choose between non-dairy options for my coffee which I'd never done before. The choice of coconut for my latte was surprisingly good and I wouldn't mind doing that again. We got the lingonberry coffee cake and the almond cake and they were both great. The other options for the baked items looked just as good and it was hard to pick. Another trip is in order.

Yelp
the sweets were good, but our experience (hopefully isolated) was disheartening. I will start by saying that my mom is the most polite asian lady who loves sweets and is extremely respectful to other service workers, as she herself works in healthcare. she especially understands that nowadays everyone can benefit from a little compassion and a little kindness. I brought my family to this bakery after a glowing recommendation. we had never been here before, and I thought it was a quaint and cute bakery. we were shopping for my dad's birthday, and we asked if they had any cakes. quite abruptly we were told that we needed to order ahead of time. that's fine, totally understandable, especially for a family run business. but then the person at the cashier also had to tack on something about only grocery stores selling premade cakes, fairly condescendingly. not sure if we said something to offend her, but we genuinely didn't know. it's our first time here. we thought the other selections looked good, so we bought some sweets anyways. my dad is trying to cut down on his sugar intake, so we asked which desserts were a little lower in sugar. this time we were almost snapped at. "they're all sweet. the only one not sweet is the sausage one". her response didn't really answer the question, but at that point we just kind of wanted to order and leave. I'm pretty sure we were expected not to leave a tip given the level of service we received. but that's not how my family works. we left one regardless, hoping that whoever is working has a better day moving forward, while also taking into account that this interaction could have been much more welcoming. from one essential worker to another. I'll admit that it was tough seeing the cashier instantly perk up and take a significantly nicer tone of voice to the customer who came in while we were on our way out. maybe because this customer looks like the cashier, while we do not. she made us feel like outsiders - I hope that Carina's Bakery can use our experience as a learning opportunity.

Yelp
Imagine being super busy on a Saturday afternoon. You suddenly realize it's 2pm and all you've had is a greens drink and a raisin sweetened chocolate bar to eat. Oops. On your way into natural grocers, which is your obvious first choice for a healthy snack (or is it just me...) you see what must be a human angel holding a vegan bakery sign. Hallelujah. Obviously you know where you're headed after this. You run in and buy water and an apple, not worrying about any real sustenance because... vegan bakery. You get in your car and lookup this place and they are closing in about 30 mins. You're less than 5 mins away but you drive over the speed limit anyway, obviously. There's no time to waste. While salivating all the way to the bakery and all the way back to the car with your baked goods in hand, you settle into the drivers seat and bite into one of those babies.... and spit it right back out. The taste. The texture. The entire experience. It's awful. You're not sure what it even is, exactly. It definitely cannot be a muffin, as advertised. You move onto the next and last gluten free, refined sugar free item you bought with 50% hope that the first one was just bad luck. You like to stay positive. The next one has to be better, you try to convince yourself. You're not very convincing but you give it a go anyway. The first bite into the next one has you wondering if maybe you could possibly grow to like it... even just a little tiny bit (God, please?) but the ginger (why the F is there so much ginger in this banana bread) is BURNING your mouth like a mother, so you spit that one out too. But take one more bite for good measure and come to the very same conclusion as the first bite. At least you were smart enough to get that water. *pats on the back* You can't decide which one was worse. The hard blueberry "muffin" thing, or the spicy ginger "banana bread". Which was more like insanely sweet gelatin, shaped like a slice of a banana bread loaf. At half the size of any other gluten free vegan banana bread you would find anywhere else. Sigh. You decide they were both equally bad in their own unique ways. And then... then. You look into the sad, mostly empty bag, at your non gluten free, filled with refined sugar cookie you were given for free for signing up for some rewards program (that you're obviously not going to be using now)... and after a very small amount of deliriously hungry deliberation, you decide to go for it. You rebel. And as you take a bite into a cookie that you're willing to throw 50% of your dietary standards right out of the window for... and you chew it for a good 3-5 seconds giving it a chance to mesh with your taste buds and send signals to your brain telling you what you think about it.... you spit that out too. Fortunately you still have that apple.

Yelp
Enjoyable cupcakes, nice presentation. I received a box of cupcakes from here for my baby shower recently. I'm not going to write about our visit to the bakery because I feel like we had a much different experience than if we'd have gone in when covid wasn't happened in addition to the bad air quality due to wildfire smoke. That definitely affected the visit as far as ambience but I want to give Grace to the owners who are likely just trying to do their best during this really difficult time. I appreciated they even opened during the smoke. I didn't order the cupcakes but took a peek while at the bakery. They were pretty standard looking, as expected from a bakery, with yellow frosting in a pretty swirl pattern. I couldn't tell the flavor(s) so I asked and was told it's an assortment but wasn't told specific flavors but she wasn't sure what they all were. That was a bit of a disappointment. My husband then came in (separately to respect social distancing) and he bought a load of bread and a carrot cake cupcake that was in the display. I think it was from the day before. Having never tried a vegan cupcake, we were quite curious on taste so we tried it ( carrot cake) in the car. I personally thought it was pretty tasty with a nice carrot flavor and lots of thick, sugary frosting. I love frosting. My husband was not a fan. He didn't like how dense it was and thought the frosting was too sugary and mentioned liking buttercream better. I told him it's vegan therefore won't have the same texture nor taste as a non-began. He knows this but it just wasn't his jam and that's ok. I tried two cupcakes later that day for the baby shower. I think one was chocolate and I have no idea what the other was, maybe just a regular white cake? The flavors weren't strong enough to discern so I went off color of the cake. The frosting also was uniform for each so no differentiation between the flavors there. I think I was going for more variety. A bit disappointed but I'm trying to hold off on judgement because we're just in a weird time and it was my first time trying vegan cupcakes so I don't have anything to compare the taste testing to. Would I order from here? I'd say that depends on how the cupcake/baked good is for. If it needed to be vegan. Yes, for sure.

Yelp
Just seriously wow. I had their gf vegan cheese and scallion biscuit. Literally best biscuit ever. Vegan or not. Big menu. Quality deliciousness. Nothing sacrificed because of vegan or gf. Just wow

Yelp
I had a bad personal experience with this business, which I posted here. Instead of addressing my concerns, the business used a blatant false accusation to have my review censored. This is now two bad personal experiences I have had with this business. If my review is censored again, then that proves Yelp is OK with false accusations.

Yelp
So good! I absolutely loved the carrot lox(tastes just like real lox!) and the dog under the counter really sealed the deal for me The baked goods are always perfectly moist and not too sweet which I love :) thanks! I'll be back soon!!

Yelp
Not sure where to start with this review. First off, I was unaware that this is a vegan place. I ordered a dozen cookies and a coffee. The milk options were almond, coconut, hemp and oat and I went with oat. The coffee was surprisingly delicious! Would definitely be back for that! ..as far as the cookies they tasted like cardboard according to my 8 year old I bought a box of the cookies for my sister who just had a new baby and when I brought them over she excitedly took a bite of a cookie and imagine our surprise when in her very first bite she had a hair baked into it . So needless to say I will not be back.

Yelp
First encountered Carina's at the Beaverton Farmer's Market and took a while to head over to the brick and mortar. I was greeted right away when coming in at around noon today (Wednesday). The first thing I was noticed was the amount of available baked goods and also drink options. A beautifully decorated space with personal touches and information for customers. Focusing on the baked goods, the items were sized just right where you could order more than one item which is what I ended up doing. I ordered a strawberry nest ($4) like a danish and two macaroons- ($2 each) and one of each flavor offered, orange cream and strawberry. These items are not offered everyday so wanted a variety. The strawberry nest was light and the dried strawberries baked added a touch of sweetness, great for a warm day like today. Among the macaroons, the strawberry one was amazing! You could taste the coconut shreds and the strawberries, I should of gotten two od this kind! The orange one was nice but a little too much coconut for my taste. Details in the restaurant do not go unnoticed, such as an umbrella station, clearly labeled items, both plastic and metal silverware, and a restroom key (The restroom key is something I did not know about so great that one was available). I think it would be great to come back and give fika a try, a group tea brunch catered to you. Happy to see Carina's bakery expand and serve the local community.
