I was first introduced to Carla's two years ago and I have been dreaming of both their Hibiscus Margaritas and Grilled Corn Romaine Salad ever since. YES A SALAD! Happy to say I finally had the opportunity to return for an intimate birthday celebration and everything was just how I remembered it. Cute and quaint, with good service and food, a great vibe! Without a doubt I absolutely ordered the roasted corn salad. It has tomatoes, avocado, roasted corn, Romain lettuce, and an amazing dressing. I added the pan seared chicken. The chicken was super flavorful and juicy, and extremely tender, not overdone. The salad was magical just as I remembered it. In addition the guac was fresh and the Hibiscus Margs was a tasty way to wash it all down. It's amazing how I dream about this salad. It's a good thing I don't live close because I would have no problem factoring in this salad which is a little pricey into an almost daily budget. Lol. Needless to say I will not be reminiscing about this salad for two years again. I will be back sooner than you think. A special thanks to our server, whom was a one man show the whole night. Just A Note: Parking can be a bit of a challenge and Carla's is tiny but mighty and absolutely worth it!

Very cute spot! I ordered the chicken sandwich and it tasted delicious! The place is small but very cute and our waiter was super nice and attentive 💕 will come back to try more food and drinks!

Super great experience! Staff is super nice. Food was amazing. Chips and guac, Chipotle chicken burguer and Carla’s burger super super good.

There were four of us. We each had an entree, one non-alcoholic beverage and one dessert. The bill came to $133. The food was delish and the dessert was superb--churros and vanilla ice cream.

We went as a big group( 13 of us). We were celebrating 4 birthdays. Despite us all placing different drink orders and food orders, our waiter Pablo who was managing the place single handedly except for the kitchen staff , took really good care of us. They handled a large and boisterous group like us with grace and the evening was really good. The food was great. Definitely recommend the roasted cauliflower, the veggie quesadillas!

Stumbled upon this place after comic con today, and I'm so glad I did. Absolutely delicious. The Mexican shrimp cocktail was delicious and fresh, and the tacos were on point. Service was above and beyond and they made us feel very welcome. Nice fun ambiance, and they also have outdoor seating.

Super cute cafe and perfect for brunch with the girls or a date! We got the queso cheese dip, fish n chips, and LIC burger. The cheese dip was really good, they definitely don’t skimp out on the cheese! I also recommend the burger, it was nice and juicy. We got seated immediately and the workers were quick and helpful in giving recommendations!

Chicken burger was insanely flavorful yet unconventional with perfectly crisp shoestring fries, and the hibiscus margarita… was 🤌🏽 their “house” tequila is better than many top shelf alternatives I’ve had at other restaurants. I was able to enjoy the restaurant all by myself as I assume I arrived before the dinner rush. Although, I would not recommend for a large group bc it is cozy. But definitely perfect for a date, girls’ night, or out-of-towner’s seeking a local hidden gem. I look forward to revisiting to try a few other items on their menu. (Totally forgot to take a pic…next time)

I'll let you in on one of my best kept secrets in all of Long Island city. Carla's is everything. It's a vibe, it's cute and quaint, and the food is banging. Every time I come here, I get the roasted corn salad. They must put illegal substances in it because I cannot get enough of the salad. It has tomatoes, roasted corn, Romain, lettuce, and some kind of dressing that's out of this world. Last time I added bacon, and I knew I could never go back. It complimented the salad perfectly. But this most recent visit, I really hadn't eaten much all day and I knew I needed some kind of protein. So on top of the bacon, I added the seared chicken. And all around it was such a good call. The chicken was super flavorful not overdone. The salad itself was magical as per usual. My friend and I also had drinks and while she ate her shrimp Poboy and sipped on a French 45, I had the apple cider margarita which was delicious. I love their seasonal cocktails. And just like all the other times, I've been here, which is many, the staff is always so nice, sweet and always able to help in anyway. Especially when it comes to playing Tetris with the plates on their tiny tables.

The food tastes very fresh! We had the chicken and al pastor tacos and grilled corn salad. The server was very friendly. The vibes are great with lively music and bright decor.

Lovely small gem of a restaurant in LIC. Carla's has a very extensive, diverse menu with a little something to satisfy just about any tastebud walking in to try. Decor is inviting and not overly distracting. Staff has been super friendly and knowledgeable the couple of times I've tried them. Pricing is fair and worth it for portions given for their food and cocktails. TLo's fan favorites so far: Sweet Potato Fries, Vietnamese Spring Rolls, and their Fish Tacos. Highly recommend giving this spot a try when in the area. :)

This is such a cute little spot. Seating is definitely limited, but the decor is really beautiful. The food tasted good, but the portions are on the smaller side. If you're ordering tacos, definitely order 4 instead of 2. I had the chicken tacos and they were flavorful. We also ordered guacamole with chips. They were both fresh tasting. The service was great. Our waiter was constantly checking on us and clearing our dishes, and not in the way that makes you feel rushed. The cocktails are a must. They have so many great options. I had the apple cider mimosa. It was like fall in a champagne glass.

This was an okay spot for a casual dinner with a friend. There is a fun decorated wall by the bar and the decor is overall cute. It's a small space in general, and the tables are quite small. It was a very tight squeeze with two plates for entrees and one appetizer plate. I wouldn't rate it as low as 3/5, but there are some room for improvements here. My friend reported her pulled pork sandwich was dry and some pieces had a burnt taste. I ordered the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken burger. I was surprised by how thin the chicken slices were. There were two different chicken slices in the sandwich, and my friend said it well: they were more like chicken cutlets on bread. Because they were thin they were crispy, yes, but also dry. I did like the coleslaw and sauce though. The dish came with waffle fries, which were okay. I wonder how fresh they were... they definitely didn't taste homemade, and sorry to be picky but they didn't allow for a pretty presentation on the plate. Just a sandwich and a scattered pile of french fries. My friend and I also shared an appetizer of spring rolls which were okay. It's an interesting menu with a lot of different options from different cuisines, which means there is something for everyone!! But also it makes it confusing to the customer what Carla's story is, and the backstory behind their menu selection.

This place is hands down a new favorite. The menu is clear on gluten free, the food was great and they were amazing with my 3 yr old son! We had the shrimp tacos (I could have eaten 2 plates) and the roasted corn salad. This was good and light, I'll probably add a protein next time. My son loved his grilled cheese! I wish we had pics but we ate so quickly :-p

5 Stars!! I visited Carla a few months ago and I'm still thinking about the salad I had here (yes! A salad. It was truly delicious). The tacos were fab as well but the grilled corn on the salad got me. Okay this famous salad I had was the Grilled Corn Romaine. I could go back for it right now for it and have it for breakfast lol. The portion is huge where I was actually full after and if you drink , try the hibiscus margarita it was pretty strong and tasty. This spot is cute. They have in door and outdoor seating but reservations are highly recommended because one minute we were part of just a few tables and the next thing we knew both in door and outdoor were filled. They have a dj. I'm not sure if it's just on Fridays but he was spinning the jams. Shout out to Sam our Queens CM for putting me on to this spot (and the salad). And def stop here and support a local Queens business.

I though Carla was a cute little comfort spot, with not very comfy seating and very limited menu selection e.g no eggs or omelettes! We ordered the buttermilk chicken burger, waffle ring, beer battered onion rings and overall though the dishes were good, the portions were a little on the large side, too much for one person. If you don't care so much about the food than they are a good comfort spot. But if you want more offerings, than this cafe is not for you!

Deliciously cooked good. Good chill local mom and pop atmosphere. Grillled corn salad was good. Buffalo wings were ok. Guac was great. Fish n chips were ok - don't love tilapia. Tacos felt healthy.

Went for brunch on a Saturday. Came from Manhattan because we were going to be in the area. Very solid meal. It's a small spot, seemed family run. Nice tropical-ish ambiance. Food was definitely all on point. Interesting menu which mostly fused Mexican and Vietnamese/southeast Asian influence. Think tacos + fajitas meet bahn mi. But also American stuff like avocado BLT and pulled pork sandwich mixed in. Good salads too. Like i said, interesting menu. Definitely worth stopping in!

(Overall: 68% | D) - The restaurant is a cute and artsy restaurant with an interesting premise. i tried their crispy chicken burger with sweet potato fries, which was quite nice but small. The chicken was tender and I was impressed by the flavor development of the slaw. However, the burger was very petite sized for a $21 burger, even considering the neighborhood, and I was rubbed the wrong way by an extra $1 charge for additional sriracha mayo without prior notice. Restaurants generally are able to find a balance that suits either low-priced + plentiful amounts or high-priced but with high regard of service, but this establishment was not able to fit either of those two criteria. Super aesthetically pleasing interior with floral walls and dark green chairs. It's not a huge space but it's well thought out. Had the hibiscus margarita and the spicy Paloma, both refreshing drinks. The vegan cauliflower with pesto dish is a favorite. For entree, I had the surf and turf burrito. It came with a side salad. I did not have room for dessert but they had churros on the menu which I will have to try next time. Service was quick and the food came out pretty quickly.

I liked this place. We came in and the location was really slow. Kenneth was really nice. I noticed the restaurant picked up a little while after we ordered and he did a really good job at guiding through and making sure every customer was noticed. I had the chicken enchiladas they were OK but I did like the adult Capri Sun. I actually came back later the next night to order it again...the only thing I did notice is that the walls are extremely dirty a nice wipe down would do them Justice!

Looking for a first class ticket to a tropical oasis without having to travel? The Carla in LIC is just that! The restaurant itself is loaded with beautiful foliage and florals that remind you of your last tropical vacation. We stumbled upon this location by happenstance during a stroll around LIC a few Saturdays ago. They have a seating at the bar, indoors and an outdoor patio. Service was warm, friendly and quick despite the brunch/lunch rush. We decided to sample a few margaritas but the Smoke and Spicy Mezcal Paloma stole the show. Perfect balance of sweet, spicy and smoky - highly recommended. Food wise we tried the Carla's Burger and Kansas Pulled Pork Sandwich. The pulled pork sandwich was by far my favorite - the sauce was truly delicious and I'm a sucker for caramelized onions. The burger was delicious too - I'm defiantly a fan of their house made burger sauce. All in all, a great dining experience. Will definitely be back!

I had the Carla hamburg and waffle fries. Insanely good. The tables are small marble rounds and squares which make it feel more intimate. The service was great. No complaints. Highly recommend! I was there around 4:00PM and it was pretty empty. This place deserves to be on your list!

Excellent intimate venue with savory food and outstanding service! Had lunch this week and Josh was handling the entire place on his own. From hosting, serving, bartending, bussing, phones and more. He was great as was the food, ambience and pricing. Will definitely return!

Came here for happy hour, which is from 4-6pm! Happy hour deals are pretty standard. They have a few margarita cocktails for $9. There's also wine, shots and beer on their happy hour drinks menu. They have a few small plates for happy hour as well. We opted for the shrimp tostada and chips and guacamole to share. My friend and I ordered pescado tacos and al pastor tacos as entrees. Each order of tacos comes with two. I thought the tacos were pricey initially since it was about $12-$15 per order, but they turned out to be pretty worth it because they loaded the tacos. The al pastor tacos were juicy and the pescado taco had a pretty big piece of fried fish with a crisp slaw that complemented it pretty well. I wouldn't recommend ordering the shrimp tostada to share because it was difficult to eat between us. The interior of the restaurant is really hip and cheery. The tropical decor and neon lights make it very welcoming and cool to hang out in. There's also outdoor seating. Overall pleasant experience here and would probs come back for HH.

A small, cozy, adorable little restaurant and the one server was extremely friendly and attentive. Albeit, a strange eclectic menu as there seemed to be no focal point but there seemed to be something for everyone. I was very happy with my shrimp Po' boy as it had the perfectly toasted bread, not too hard, not too soft, a good ratio of filling to bread, of course I could always use more shrimp but it was the usual amount. They had this mustard based remoulade that was spectacular! That was what put the sandwich over the top. The burger wasn't anything special. It was well cooked but tasted like something I make at home. My husband wasn't impressed. We did enjoy the onion rings but we can't tell if they were home made or not. I would definitely get the Po' boy again if in the area.

Such a cute spot! Love the interior and that they have an outdoor area. Parking is very rough but the drinks, food and service definitely made up for it. I came in after leaving one of my work sites and I was greeted by the nicest man (so mad at myself for forgetting his name). He made me a spicy mezcal drink AND a spicy margarita - both were very good. I had the guac which was EXCELLENT and the chicken fajitas that were good. The tortillas are mini so that would be the only thing I would change, I also took most of that to go and they did charge me for additional tortillas. Nevertheless, I will be back next time I'm in the area.

While browsing for some local good eats for brunch in Queens, my girlfriend & I decided to check out Carla. It was gross outside (rain, rain go away) so we opted for Carla's cheery, floral interior. It's definitely a cute place for drinks, but first: breakfast. With the gross weather outside, we were aiming more on the comfort food vibes - she opted for the burger & I went for the jambalaya. Ohhhhh, wee - that jambalaya definitely hit the spot! Saucy, full of flavor & no skimpin' on the fresh shrimp, this was a plate of perfection (and yes, let's not forget the runny egg, yum yum)! I would recommend Carla as a cute date spot & for a fat date with a small group of friends.

Cute but small place with indoor and outdoor seating. It was only myself and 3 other people dining in but my server was really sweet and attentive. I ordered hot apple cider (seasonal) and it was so good. I asked for a to go cup and he accommodated my request. I ordered the vegetarian tacos. Nice sized portion and very flavorful. Look forward to visiting whenever I'm back in town.

Great space with a casual ambiance. I was greeted promptly and received wonderful attentive service throughout my visit, which I really appreciated as I was dining alone, and frequently, older women dining alone do not receive attentive service. The sweet plantain hit the spot-hot and beautifully caramelized! I would return.

Amazing food and service. Took my friends for a holiday lunch there. The menu is amazing with great drinks, appetizers, food and desserts.

Just landed and checked in at my hotel. I'm starving. I plug "lunch" into yelp. Enter Carla's. Monday at 12:30pm it's empty I'm seated right away. I ordered the Spicy Mézcal Paloma, Kale and Quiona salad, and Carla's Burger. The Paloma was very tasty and is pictured. The Kale and Quiona salad, is not pictured. It was delicious and I inhaled. Carla's Burger also not pictured was very tasty. Great vibe, good service.

Delicious food and waiter's service was excellent. We sat outside in a small little trailer type thing with park benches. I had draping flowers which looks so cute and the ambience was pink lighting. The food was delicious I had a chicken sandwich with avocado and plantains and the wings were so delicious hi really recommend the sesame wings and the avocado with chips. Definitely recommend this place it's really cute and the waiter is extremely friendly and very accommodating. Definitely recommend. Didn't get a chance to take more photos as I intended to but I did have a bag of adult Capri Sun Which was really good.

This is going to be a short review because the only item I tried here was the margarita but I needed to write because it was actually life changing. Carla, if you're reading this, I give you full permission to use "MaryKate A. on Yelp says this is the best margarita she's ever tried" on any marketing materials. This margarita was life changing people. It's a hibiscus margarita and I don't know what they put it in but it is so incredibly delicious, smooth, and just perfect. I have no other words. It's such a cute space, they make great use out of the small space they have. The outdoor seating is adorable. I love all of the decor. The staff is so, so, so friendly. I love it here. I can't wait to try their food!

For me, the food was average. The salads are fresh and the tacos not bad. The best thing was the Mexican Surf and turf. It's a burrito with beef, shrimp and french fries It's a menu that consists of three cuisines. It's Mexican, Vietnamese and Southern . It's not a fusion though.

The street tacos were amazing. The service was very fast. The ambiance was very relaxing and quaint. I loved it and I will definitely return.

Fun space - love the decor. Large drink menu with mostly classics or their version of classics. The food menu includes Mexican and Vietnamese dishes with their own spin. It was hard to choose! Ultimately, we went for the quinoa salad and a few of the tacos. The quinoa salad was heavy on the kale and garlic. I wouldn't order next time. However, each of the tacos was unique. We especially liked the fish and shrimp tacos. Joshua, our server, was really chipper and nice. Fun 90s music kept the conversation going. Think "what's your fantasy"!

I've been here twice! I got the chicken enchiladas the first time and the buttermilk chicken sandwich the second time. I was hesitant about coming to eat here at first because their menu is kind of all over the place - like a bit American, texmex but also Vietnamese food. But decided to give it a shot anyways and the food I got was pretty good at least! Out of the two I liked the butter milk chicken sandwich more - super flavorful and a good portion size imo!

Was invited to a nice brunch to this small restaurant and bar. Never knew it existed but I'll never forget it. The staff was extremely nice and always smiling . The drinks were excellent the adult capri sun was a big hit with my aunts. I had the coffee and also the Bahn Mi sandwich and it was delicious. The appetizers are extremely tasty too. I'll definitely go back to try their margaritas they seem to have a very nice set up for those!

Carla is a hidden gem, and to my surprise, I haven't ventured much in that corner of my neighborhood. So I have my wonderful friend to thank for coming through when I asked him to find us a good spot. Of course, I will not be thrilled when it starts getting jammed-packed like most places on my side. But I will be happy because they deserve the business and the hype. Carla has been open for less than six months, and they get it right every single time. The decor is cute, and the cozy vibe is perfect for a date, brunch, or solo dining. The food is excellent. My favorite thing to get is the Mighty Wings. Besides the wings, I am also a fan of the Kale Quesadilla, Steak & Shrimp burrito, ALL of the tacos (yes, I've tried them all), Vegan Pesto Cauliflower, Chicken Noodle Soup, Vegan Kale Quinoa Salad. More than half the menu, and I know I am forgetting stuff. Leave room for the churros. They are great! The cocktails are on point as well. All of them! It just depends on what drinking mood you are in. Lastly, be patient. The service can be slow at times, but it's worth it. Their delivery does not fail either. So don't hesitate to order in. I have done so several times, and it is good.

The food at Carla is delicious, and you just know everything is made with quality ingredients because of the freshness, simplicity but packed flavor in all the food. The hibiscus Margarita was good. The guacamole was literally perfectly balanced--the right amount of lime, cilantro, red onion... It was on point! The vegetarian taco-- amazing. The chicken Tinga-- had a little kick to it and was well seasoned and very juicy. The shrimp taco-- amazing. This place is great for any kind of date-- family, friends, romantic interest... You can't go wrong with choosing to dine at this restaurant.

We happened upon this place as we were in town for a friend's farewell party. This was about a block or two from our hotel. It's dog friendly, has outdoor dining shack for dining that I wouldn't say was very well heated for winter outdoor dining. But very pretty. Must be very nice when the weather permits it. I got myself an adult Caprisun which was amazing and I kinda wanna have that everywhere I go now heh. We all shared a vegan cauliflower app, which was delicious. Owing to the cold weather I saw birria ramen on the menu so opted for that. It was perfect and really helped with evoking a feeling of warmth. Odd choice of the egg on the ramen being a fully boiled egg, as I am used to mostly soft boiled eggs with my ramen. My friend enjoyed her jambalaya and my boyfriend enjoyed his veggie tacos. I'd recommend Carla. Very nice place to grab some food with friends. It was odd that the servers were not wearing masks (we went the weekend Omicron decided to really announce itself in NYC) but I hope they are enforcing proper hygiene and masking now.

We did a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon around 12:45 pm, and my wife and I, and our little 2 year old got some really nice outdoor seating on an overcast day. The place wasn't that busy, and Catherine, who was very attentive, took really good care of us. They have a really good selection of Cocktails and I got their Smoke & Spicy Mezcal Paloma ($13) drink which was really good. My wife enjoyed their Old Fashioned ($15) from their Classic cocktail menu and she was very happy with it. They also have some rotating draught beers. For appetizers, we got the extremely delicious Vegan Pesto Cauliflower ($11) which was a goof portion for 2 to share and very very tasty. We also ordered a side of Tater Tots for our little one, who didn't really enjoy it as much, and neither did we. We weren't in a mood for fried food! For Entrees, we ordered Chicken Enchiladas ($18) and my wife was absolutely raving about their sauce. It was packed with flavor. I ordered 3 pieces of the Vegetarian Taco ($4 ea.). If you like sweet plantains you'll enjoy this. I am not too fond of plantain and without plantain, tacos tasted really good. Overall, we had a great time. Great setup, good menu options, good cocktails and excellent service to top it off. Couldn't have asked for anything more! Will definitely visit again.

Carla is a cute and fun fusion restaurant located in a very inauspicious location by Queensboro plaza. I had high hopes for this restaurant after finding out they had a sister location in Manhattan. We arrived here at 7pm on a Friday and there was no wait at all. The host gave us an option to sit outside or inside, which we proceeded to sit outside right on the sidewalk. We were quite confused by the menu as there were Vietnamese inspired items in what I thought was a Mexican spot. We ordered the Guacamole and Chips, buffalo wings, Al Pastor Tacos, and Barbacoa tacos to share. The guac was fresh but the wings were extremely underwhelming and dry. The tacos were filled with protein but was lacking in taste. I was quite disappointed by this meal. I would probably come back for happy hour as the drinks were quite delicious, but would refrain from ordering the food.

Cute place, good food and great service! We went for cocktails and dinner w/ couple friends on a Thursday, tables were filling up fast. For appetizer we tried the Guacamole & Chips, and Roasted Cauliflower. On the entrees, while my friends and hubby ordered Chicken Fajitas, Pescado (fish) Taco, Malibu (shrimp) Tacos and Beef Barbacoa Taco, I opted for Shrimp Jambalaya w. runny egg. Food were pretty good but my hubby thinks the tacos were a bit too watery to his liking. I did enjoy my Jambalaya, it was delicious! This joint is a good neighborhood gem with outdoor seatings as well.

Great little addition to the north Qboro neighborhood. Quite kitschy, with the pink/tropical decor and neon lighting... but we loved it, lol. We went on a Saturday night and sat in the outdoors section with no wait. Young patrons mainly here, taking photos inside and outside for that gram-worthy snap. The frozen watermelon drink was super refreshing for the 90 deg F evening we decided to eat outside.... Tater tots were just alright, good portion size for the price. However, the star of the show was most definitely the jambalaya.. I am a girl who finishes her food at the restaurant and almost never has anything to box up and take away, and I was pleasantly surprised to have a decent chunk left! Service was spotty, we had to flag down our waiter through the window for water and more drink orders. I would come back & try brunch menu instead next time!

A lovely spot on a quiet street that has a nice outdoor dining set-up as well as a cozy vibe indoors. Arriving late afternoon, it was quiet, the service was just right. We started out with a couple of cocktails; the hibiscus margarita was a great version and the adult capri sun came in a pouch with a straw and was so fun and dangerously good. The menu has a lot of tantalizing items, so it was hard to decide. We ended up with the pesto cauliflower which was topped with pumpkin seeds; it was a surprising take on cauliflower and so enjoyable. For entrees, after seeing some pictures of the tacos, I had to have them. Each taco is beautifully presented with it's own unique sauces and garnishes. The Chicken Tinga version, may have been my least favorite of the 4 I tried, but by all means was good. Both the Barbacoa and the Al Pastor were so delicious and the star of the foursome was the Vegetarian taco which included black bean, plantain and avocado and it was amazing. We also ordered the fish and waffle chips and it was some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish was perfectly cooked with a lovely crispy exterior, the fries were wonderful as was the homemade tartar sauce and coleslaw. The whole time, we kept saying we couldn't believe how good everything was and why wasn't it located in our own neighborhood. I wanted to order more, but controlled myself; everything was just perfect and I can't wait to return.

Had dinner here recently with our family of 6 and it was wonderful! The staff were extremely helpful and the environment was very relaxing and nice. The food topped it all off! We ordered the jambalaya, burgers, chicken sandwich, fajitas and pho. All different types of food and all tasted amazing! I don't know how they could make such a wide variety of food and have all of it hit so perfectly! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by for another meal! Thank you!

Food is excellent. Tacos are two per plate and good if you're not too hungry. Bigger dishes include the beef pho. The service is friendly, professional, and attentive. Ambiance is cute and cool at the same time. The space is on the smallish side and in the middle of nowhere - call it a hidden neighborhood gem.

Came here for happy hour which is until 6p. Our server, Jay was great! This rating is more for the food. The menu is actually a diverse menu with lots of different food options...the pho caught my eye as this is not a Vietnamese restaurant. The beef was fine although I prefer rare steak. I think the broth was nice but there was not enough beef. It was too large of pieces and should have been cut down. Noodles weren't as tasty and seemed undercooked. The margaritas were nice, especially on happy hour menu.

Came here a few weeks ago and the place was empty. Saw that they had $7 margaritas with a check in and we did that. They definitely are a bit new and have some growing pains to work out but other than that a solid place. We got some tacos and they were pretty big, and I was surprised. There are a few other taco places in the neighborhood, with Tacombi opening and Top Quality tacos. This place definitely ranks above Top Quality in all aspects, but Tacombi might have better tacos, but Tacombi's tacos are more expensive so these two places are neck and neck. The service was super friendly and the ambiance was nice. We sat inside as it was blazing hot outside, and there is a bit of construction still being done but very nice inside. Can't wait to see what it will look like when it is finished. Hopefully they bring a happy hour, and then I'll be a regular for sure!

My daughters and my hubby brought me and the younger kids here on Sunday for mother's day. We had reservations. The place is small but so full of character. It is beautifully decorated. There is also outdoor dining. Our server. I forgot his name was so attentive. Service was prompt. He was nice enough to turn off the fan for my daughter that was cold. The food was amazing. For appetizers we had the ceviche. It was so good. We also had wings and the vegetarian tacos were amazing. My hubby had the brisket pho soup which was amazing. My daughter had enchiladas and the kids had burgers. I had the shrimp Jambalaya. Wow. So good. The drinks were good too. Maybe a bit light for the ones that prefer stronger. But all in all a very nice spot. We came all the way from yonkers. Will Def go again.

I had Carla's for dinner after seeing all the great reviews that it has. The vibes were great. Decor and music is super trendy. This is a smalllll space. They reserve a large section of the restaurants for groups 3+ "just in case" but it stayed empty for my whole duration there :/ The staff was great and really attentive. They were awesome on the water game. The menu is a little bit pricey with entrees in the $20s and tacos $5-6 each. I really wish that they gave you 2 tortillas because mine came all soaked and soggy. The 2nd one would've been helpful for the sogginess and spillage. Food tasted great though. 2 tacos and a side left me happily full!
