I stopped by Carlino’s Italian Market and picked up their pre-prepared heart-shaped ravioli with blush sauce as an easy dinner for the next night — and wow! It was absolutely incredible. The pasta tasted fresh and perfectly cooked, and the blush sauce had the perfect balance of creamy and tomato flavor without being too heavy. What impressed me most was how convenient it was without sacrificing quality. It felt like a homemade, restaurant-quality meal with zero hassle. Carlino’s makes it so easy to grab something special even on a busy weeknight. I’ll definitely be going back!

Food is wonderful. Staff leaves much to be desired. Be prepared to be treated like an inconvenience when you walk through those doors. I waited patiently at the deli counter for over fifteen minutes. The guy with the mustache behind the counter would not make eye contact with me. So I continued to wait. I never said a word. Finally my boyfriend walks over. I told him I hadn’t been served yet. He goes to find someone else from another part of the store to go back behind the counter and get the guy’s attention. A young lady from the staff goes behind the counter to tell the guy with the mustache I’ve been waiting for 20 mins by this time. Mind you, there were only two other people waiting for their orders. When the young lady goes to tell him I was waiting to be served he tells and cusses at her at the top of his lungs. Everyone heard him. Everyone was shocked. If I had to take a guess, he’s likely a family member of the owner and can’t be fired. But I will say this, fire him. That kind of inappropriate explosive behavior has no place in business. Especially a small business, like Carlino’s. Beware the guy with the mustache behind the Carlino’s deli counter. If he’s working, prepare for the worst. What a jerk.

I have been going to Carlinos since it opened. The food is generally well made and prepared. However, I bought some chicken and rice soup today and was surprised by the overall lack of quality. The broth was super salty, what chicken was there was stringy and a little tough. The veggies and rice were added sparingly. I will still go because they make other things well but I will avoid the soup from now on.

I want to start off by saying we LOVE Carlino’s. We live about 40 minutes away and make the trip every couple months to stock up on our favorites. With that being said when we visit the store we obviously purchase a good amount, one the those things being Proscuitto. We typically buy a few pounds since it’s our favorite and it lasts a few months. Dude behind the counter (seemed college age) needs an attitude check. I gave him my order and he seemed irriated right off the bat. “2 pounds of proscuitto??” And I said yes. I waited and when the order was ready he sighed and said “2lbs proscuitto?”. I took the order, said thanks, and as soon as I walked away he started laughing. So kid, here’s a piece of advice. If you are going to choose to work in customer service, don’t act like a doucebag. If you don’t like your job, get a new one. The world is full of them. But no need to be unpleasant to people.

Wow first appearance outside didn’t look like much until you walk in. It was packed. I love how in the front of the store it was kind of similar to a grocery store. Then there were separate parts of the store like a coffee shop, wine area, etc. I really like the store but it was a bit overwhelming but the staff were all super nice and asked if I needed assistance. Food was pretty good too. Had the pasta before from Carlino’s Catering but first time in the store. I would bring people from out of state or out of town here. Definitely a place to hang out in. They have a nice seating area located in the front of the store.

Great place to have lunch or pick up ready made food for lunch, dinner, parties. Inside and outside seating. Store is very clean and has a nice floor plan. Sandwiches are freshly made to order. I had the sausage and peppers sandwich and it was freshly made and delicious. Also bought a package of delicious pignola cookies. My favorite! I live about 45 min away so didn’t buy any take home items. Next time I’ll bring a cooler!

It's a wonderful bakery with a wide variety of options, including live counters. The pizza is a solid 3 stars, while the muffins are a 5-star delight.

First time stopping by here. it is relatively close to Longwood garden. we tried eggplant Caesar sandwich. That was unusual but tasty. I appreciate sturdy recyclable to go container as well. We also bought some desserts. I have to say this is probably the best Italian bakery w pretty pastry(not just cookies) I've ever found in the East Coast. I love that it is not too sweet and they look pretty like how items found in french bakery. I will stop by here whenever I'm in PA from now on. Lobster tail. OMG exceptional. Flaky, not greasy, not soggy w nice custard filling. Ricotta cheesecake, not grainy, prob the best ricotta cheesecake I've ever tried. Eclair is pretty on the top, decent flavor. We haven't tasted the pretty peanut chocolate mousse one. The fried dough w chestnut filling is interesting. not sure if I taste wine in the dough or espresso in the filling. I'm regretting not getting their panettone....there are a few flavors. Traditional, cherry, salted caramel, Dubai chocolate, tiramisu, limoncello.

We stopped by Carlino's Market when we were exploring West Chester for a morning a week or so ago. It's a great little upscale gourmet market/grocery store. Around since 1983, it sells a wide range of artisan food, including some special Italian goods. They have two locations (the other is in Ardmore), but the West Chester location is charming - well-stocked but not crowded with too much, light, clean, modern. It has a coffee bar and aisles of things I wanted to take home. Definitely stop by and check it out if you're hungry, need a snack, or love to cook! A great little shop.

Amazing. I have been coming here off and on over the last 20 years and it is every bit as good as the first time I walked in the store. The staff are always friendly and polite and the store is always super clean. And the food. Fantastic. Pastries are delish... sandwiches to die for. A special favorite is the Big Dom. It does require a big appetite! The pasta is incredible. It is a great reward for lunch if you get called for jury duty in West Chester!!

I do not visit Carlino's as often as I desire because of the difficulty in finding parking and the lack of coin operated meters. The Flowbird parking ap occasionally does not work.

If I could rate this a 0 I would. This place made me sick and the chicken parm was disgustingly undercooked, made me sick for weeks. The service was horrible the workers were very ill-mannered and were horribly rude to me and my Husband. The ambience was awful because the placement of the food was sloppy and things were all over the place. I'm severely disappointed in this place and expected more from a place that makes itself seem so fancy and desirable.

This is by far the best pizza I've ever had. I got the tomato pie because I wanted to try something that was more standard and organic to see how that compared to other places honestly, the sauce you could feel the individual chunks of the tomato which made it feel so authentic and the crust was just nice and crispy. I did put reheated in the air fryer so maybe that made it a bit more crispy but the thickness of that pie along with that sauce and the bread just made it so much better it's probably the best pizza I've ever had definitely recommended 10 out of 10. I also got the tiramisu as well. It was a fruit tiramisu and that was also really good too definitely is a portion size for two people. You have enough of that cake for two people, but I would definitely get that again as well that was about. I wanna say $10 But I would definitely say it's worth it for two people. It wasn't too sweet. You could definitely take some fruits and the fruits felt fresh in them too, and the cake bar didn't seem to dry at all. The service was also very nice and accommodating. They got bags for me and they were really helpful and choosing what things I wanted to getand the ambience it just really felt like a genuine Italian market and it felt very rustic at home we and I definitely would go again.

I come here to sit and zone out to the hums of patrons chatting over coffee's. Speaking of coffee, I'm loving the pistachio mocha latte with pistachio milk for a subtly creamy treat at the end of a busy week.

I pulled up yelp the other night to show someone my photo of a sandwich from here, but I didn't have a review... What?! This place is pricier than most places, but if it's the only place to get certain things, then it's worth it. Been coming here for years for food and for lunch. I enjoy cooking my own pasta, but when I don't want all of the work, I'll come here for fresh or frozen pasta. A wide selection and a great quality. I enjoy a cocktail or two and this place has an amazing bitter selection, which always gets my attention. For lunch, I used to get the Mama's Meatball parm. A fantastic meatball parm, with fresh mozzarella. But I don't get that anymore. I'm done with it... Why? Because you have to wait for the sandwich to be made... They take their time and they do it right... So, while waiting for my sandwich, I explored their other menu and saw Meatball Remix... broccoli rabe and roasted red peppers thrown on a flat top... Meatballs fried up and cut in half... All of that is added to a fantastic seeded roll, topped with sharp provolone and parmigiano reggiano cheese with Caesar spread... This sandwich is just too good...

This is such a great store! Definitely the best place to find special sauces, salsas, spices ect. Ironically, some of the food they have often needs some extra spices or flavor.

What an awesome market!! They have a coffee bar, deli, prepared foods, wine, gifts, etc. We are visiting from out of town, but I wish we had one of these back in VA. It reminded me of the Italian markets back in NY. I got a honey lavender coffee and we got some drinks from the cold case. We stumbled upon the market after eating breakfast or we would've purchased everything in sight.

I frequently visit Carlino's several times a year. Always great. I started to go to the Carlino's 45+ years ago in Ardmore. They gave grown do much in the past years. Both locations are wonderful.

Stopped in today to get a humble bacon, egg and cheese (cooper sharp) on a Kaiser roll. It was absolutely outstanding and THE BEST in West Chester, if not all of Chester County!!! I have been to all the bagel shops and breakfast places. Nobody tops Carlino's!

Stopped by for lunch and loved walking around the market. Spacious inside with a lot of tasty looking food. My group and I ordered 3 sandwiches from the deli section and did not love any of them. However, I think the hot foods and bakery is where it's at. We ordered the California Turkey club, chicken cutlet and Italian. The club sandwich was heavy and very filling, but tasted a bit bland. My friend who ordered the cutlet said the toppings were drenched in oil and the rest was very dry. We also did not like how his breaded cutlet was cut up in pieces rather than one butterfly chicken. My bf ordered the Italian and he was not happy with it. I did buy Easter bread to go and that was a hit. I would still come back and try their hot food section and bakery again, but will skip on the deli. They had indoor and outdoor seating plus a clean bathroom!

Carlino's is the best Italian market in Chester County. Best selection and quality of charcuterie and sandwiches. Best freshly baked semolina bread. Best Italian dessert selection. Many other specialties made daily. Those specialities are the sweet spot for Carlinos. Based on my most recent experience, I do not care for their cutlets (too thick) or pizza (too doughy) but there are so many other great items.

Cute market excellent ready to go foods . Pricey but worth it . Desserts were the best, matcha was too sweet

Stopped here while working in West Chester today. This was my second choice as Lorenzo's Steaks was temporarily closed today. Cool Italian market with lots of take out options available. I chose to go with the Ultimate Italian hoagie and eat in. It was good, not great. I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. The roll saved it from being a 6. I was honestly a little disappointed because when I unwrapped it, it looked awesome. I would stop again, but would opt for something other than a hoagie.

The selection goods available here is beyond reproach. Very similar to DiBruno brothers- Including some very premium pricing. However if you're willing to pay the freight you can find a wide array of specialty products that you would be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.

We stopped in here the day before and saw that they were a delightful little shop. We asked what time they opened the next morning, which happened to be MLK day. They told us it was 9 AM. So, the next morning at 9 AM my three-year-old and myself walk on over to pick up some cannolis on our way to visit friends at 10 AM. Sure enough, the store was not open at 9 AM. There was no note in the window and no information. I called the number and the person on the phone told me that they decided to open up at 10 AM. Come on people here I am standing out in the cold, waiting with my three year-old for this place to open according to the hours posted and with no note on the door. Furthermore, the person on the phone was quite rude to me. This is not a smart way to run a business.

We ordered a custom 1/2 sheet cake at the request of the homeowner where the party was taking place. Vanilla cake, ricotta chocolate chip filling, buttercream icing, fresh cannoli as some of the decoration. Cake was crumbly , barely stayed together when cut, filling was just awful, truly. Buttercream icing was less than on par. The mini cannoli decorations were so soft, my guess is this cake was put together on Friday. Perhaps we expected to much, perhaps with the culinary background we bring to the table we expected an on point cake. Awful, never again. Should have ordered it else where. Ever again. .

Okay, so I am very obsessed with this place. I usually go biweekly and load up. I got an Italian hoagie, ultimate Italian hoagie, uncle franks pride, 2 salads, and a cannoli. Uncle franks pride is amazing. The bread is sooooo perfect. The sauce/gravy is really good. The pulled porchetta tasted like it was stewed, broccoli rabe, and melted sharp provolone cheese and hot peppers. Omg!!!! I'm going to gain 10 lbs if I keep coming here!

Kudos to Carlino's for absolutely delicious and magnificent looking catering for a family celebration. In wanting only pick-up foods, I ordered the spring vegetable and dips tray which was arranged with such care and precision as well as being so fresh and delicious. I had a variety of several different types of sandwiches to feed our 40 guests buffet style. The Focaccia sandwiches I chose were Tuna and also roasted vegetable. Supplementing that were Italian hoagies and chicken cutlet hoagies. Rounding it all out were Parker house roll sandwiches if turkey and ham. So many compliments from my satiated guests. We often use Carlinos when we have larger family dinners or celebrations. I have never been disappointed! Thank you to my favorite "go-to" for delicious entertaining!

Best Tomato Pie in the world. All other items I've gotten have been amazing as well but the Tomato Pie is especially divine!

Carlino's is awesome. It's the fanciest Italian market, with the most appealing selection that I've ever seen. It's much larger than you'd expect from the street and the product selection is HUGE. Id recommend stopping in for lunch sometime and just browsing while you wait. There is something for everyone here. Perfect spot to grab a host gift before a party or a dish to bring along to an event. I can't wait to go back!

I seem to be ending up here at least once a year around Christmas. Each time I have been trying different items. So far I have gotten A tray of lasagna, candy canes, bread, saudaste, deli meats, cupcakes, and I look forward to more. Tons of pre made food options ready to go and a great selection of meats and cheeses for your dinner party. Definitely a great place to shop for gifts as well as the elements for entertaining company.

Catering review: as expected, the food was delicious and well packaged! Can't go wrong with a gourmet hoagie platter. We also had the brie (which I didn't realize had nuts in it but I think that was my stupidity), Caesar salad, and baked ziti. There were no heating instructions given upon pick up and when we called to ask what they were I think they gave us the wrong directions because the baked ziti needed way more than 350 for 45 minutes in the oven and the baked brie needed some extra time as well. Not sure if the actual instructions are off, what they told us was off, or our oven was off but there was a bit of a miss there. The party still went on! Nice store to walk around in and great for lunch and gourmet groceries (but also regular groceries if you need those too). Staff is friendly as well.

Love this place!Everything is just amazing. Just was a little disappointed with the chicken pot pie. Excessively salty, dry and strange vegetables for a chicken pot pie; lima beans, green beans, pearl onions and just way too much corn. Did I mention is was soo dry. On the positive side; I highly recommend the mini muffins. Holy Moly! They truly melt in your mouth!!

This is a tough place to visit if you're even slightly hungry. There are many enticing options here, ranging from sandwiches to meat dishes to pasta. There's a great dessert section, a small wine shop and plenty of market options to take things home with you.

This place is great for entertaining. It is pricey though, so if you have time to make your own lasagna or pasta or whatever Italian dish you want to bring along, do that. In a pinch, it's great for grab and go meals, appetizers and pastries.

This place is a feast for the eyes and instantly brought back memories of Roma! Our first trip resulted in a second breakfast (it was only 11:00am) from their wonderful pastry selections. Those are enough to make you want to make a special trip here! And they taste as good as they look-which doesn't always happen! Our most recent trip was for an Antipasto Tray and Wraps. They did not disappoint! Fabulous, fresh, beautifully presented and fantastic! Honestly, Carlino's makes me want to move to West Chester! :-)

Love Carlinos. One if the best Italian markets in the area! Well the best! Food is always delicious and staff is always fast and friendly to help! The catering foods are very good and easy to take to parties or pass out as holiday gifts!

Absolutely amazing all around. Cannot recommend enough. Stopped in by accident and it is now a staple every time we come to West Chester. The organic olive oil tarallini is my go to favorite snack!

Not like it used to be thing's have changed a lot was very disappointed with the way things looked and did not have what I was looking for.Also did not find staff very friendly walk around for awhile before someone asked if I needed help would not go back any time soon

I ordered from carlinos for my families Christmas meal. In the past, I have always been really impressed. However, this time the baked ziti was dry and not very flavorful The mushroom risotto was unimpressive too. I think I'll look elsewhere next year

If I could give 10 stars I would. Any time I'm relatively near West Chester I have to go out of my way to make a stop at Carlino's. It's like stepping into a deli in Italy! I tend to get a sandwich every time I'm here. Last time I got half of the Old Timer and added pesto to it. Even though the halves are huge, I wish I had gotten a full sandwich because it was so awesome. I've had pizza here before which is classic and perfect Italian style pizza. Over at the dips and spreads, we always pick up a "hoagie spread" to take home. We also always get a few cookies on our way out the door. The seating inside is nice too. You order any food at the counter and seat yourself. I have never had to wait for a table, and the eating area is always fairly clean. You might have to brush crumbs off the table if you're sitting down immediately after someone else. You can literally close your eyes, point to any food item in the store, and you will not be disappointed.

I was expecting to hate Carlino's because I thought it would be full of little dogs in carries and designer stroller's. I was so so so happy those things were not there and I could love Carlino's!! Very very tasty CS especially in the home made roll. The staff was awesome!! Would I recommend Carlino's? I am going back for the roast beef panini.

Food is good if you luck out and get what you actually wanted. Picked up order today and it was not even close to what was ordered. Not sure what went wrong but was already home by the time the bag was opened. Needless to say, everyone was disappointed. Check your bag before you get home or you may be disappointed, t

This is an Italian market packed with many fresh choices! I was recently here to pickup three pizza pies for my son's sports team. They did a wonderful job plating the pies by cutting them into finger food size. I would recommend coming here to get your catering dishes!

At Thanksgiving I bought Carlino's pumpkin pie and turkey gravy. Both were very good, but neither one was available for Christmas. Very disappointing that neither of these are considered Christmas foods at Carlino's. I did buy $32 worth of their Christmas cookies - gingerbread men and lemon - and both were dry and stale. We fed them to the squirrel. Bottom line - Carlino's was great for Thanksgiving, but won't be going back next Christmas. Also, I bought 2 large family size green salads for $22 each. They came with toppings of cheese, figs and walnuts. The problem is there was a lot of lettuce, but the toppings were so skimpy, only enough for 1 or 2 people. I had to supplement with my own. I feel like I paid $44 for mostly lettuce.

I love Carlino's. They have the best soups, pastas, and tomato pie. It's such a treat to stop in and get some things. So fresh!

Cute market which seems to have been here forever. The market has cool Italian treats. The prepared foods like meatballs and lasagna are really good, though not inexpensive.

Service is everything. Of course everyone cannot be "perfect". I don't know if this kid was the manager there. But he was extremely rude and inappropriate. And the food is sub par.. so sad... loved the other carlinos
