Where to Find Bright Bowls of Ceviche in Portland

"This Pearl District restaurant with a bar-centric, upscale vibe is known for its wide range of craft cocktails. However, the food — in particular the ceviche — should not be missed. The bar offers a Pacific Ahi tuna ceviche and a cold water shrimp version, and the inclusion of radishes, avocado, cilantro, and cucumbers adds textural contrast while letting the quality of the seafood shine. Carlita’s marinates its ceviches in a chipotle vinaigrette, which adds a delicate smokiness that doesn’t overpower the fish." - Maya MacEvoy, Nathan Williams

Trendy little mexican inspired restuarant in Portland's pearl district. Their menu is not extensive and you cannot order sides of rice here. The food that is served here is pretty good. The drinks are good too. This is the perfect place for a margarita flight. I went during the week and it was not busy. Im sure its busy on the weekends

After a terrible experience at a popular instagram-worthy lounge, I scanned google for nearby food and drinks to reconcile the failed outing. Carlita’s popped up, so we decided to take the chance. I am so immensely happy we did. We walked in and were immediately greeted by friendly staff, seated and given water. The atmosphere was so calm. Service was quick. Drinks were so good! Sweet and strong. The food was immaculate. The pork belly taco I had was so good, I ordered more to take home to my family because I was afraid they wouldn’t believe I had THE best taco I’ve ever had. My father who’s from Southern California (and knows a good taco) was drooling! Just an amazing experience all around. My only suggestion would be louder music, at times it was extremely quiet!

Google
My favorite little Mexican style restaurant and bar. The food is always delicious. The Carlita's skillet is a perfect sharing plate with friends and the tacos may look small but they are LOADED. Trust me, you only need two. <3

Google
Absolutely delicious!! Great spot for a date night. We had elote, tacos, ceviche and the amazing Carlita's skillet. The staff was lovely and the food came out fast. Will come back soon!

Google
We had a brilliant experience overall. There was quick street parking available out front. They have some indoor and outdoor mixed seating from high tables to regular. We enjoyed the elote, chips and salsa, shared the pork belly and carne asada tacos and then the short rib tostada. Service was prompt and the drinks were amazing.

First time here, sat at the bar just after they opened. Happy hour! From 4-6 on weekdays, they have their alternate menu. I went with the pazole. It came out with a lot of radish and cilantro on top, but it was quite good. The toppings added crunch to the sopa. A little bit of heat, but i really liked it. Next, the carne asada and hongo tacos. A lot of greens on the hongo taco, and the carne asada was too packed with food for the corn tortilla. Not complaining, instead I adapted and used a fork to eat some of the bulk down, then did the normal taco thingy. Pretty delicious I must say. The ladies here were very welcoming from the start. The ambiance is nice, and I would say romantic. The music, club vibes, possibly too loud. But i liked it. Hope to come back on my short stay here in town.

Stopped in for a late night dinner after just flying into Portland. My partner and I both ordered the Aguacates Tacos with avocado, black beans, cabbage slaw, cilantro, marinated tomatoes, pickled onions and cotija. The tacos are amazing with fresh flavors and a bit of a twist with the combination of ingredients. Great meal and service is friendly and attentive.

Google
Went to this spot the 2nd year in a row for Portland Nacho Week. Great Nacho dish for the occasion. Awesome drink selection with a-lot of good whiskey and tequila options visible from the bar. Great ambiance with bar and table seating. Staff is very pleasant and attentive. Awesome food and drink selection. Would definitely return!

Yelp
Really loved this place. We've been here for the last flight assortment and glad we were because they had a new selection going. Very tasty flight. Food was great. The mole nachos were great. A lot of chicken and fixings. The vegetarian tacos were awesome my love said. All in all really happy with today's experience trying the food. See you soon

Yelp
Let me start off by saying plus points first -- super accessible, easy to find street parking in the area, fun variety of margaritas, addictive chips/salsa, and a decent amt of vegetarian options. Outside of that I have to sadly say that this place is the quintessential example of what I call Portland Mexican food -- aka PNW attempt at Mexican food that doesn't quite succeed. I will say I'd give this a 3.5 if I could. Dropped by on a weekday with friends and thankfully grabbed the last table! We just started off with some margaritas and chips and salsa -- the mango margarita was good and my friends liked their seasonal margarita (hibiscus) and the passionfruit margarita. As I said, the chips and salsa were addictive and we definitely ate a handful of them with refills. I didn't love the oil/after taste on the chips but it didn't really stop me from eating them with time sooo I consider it a plus rather than a minus. I will say the tacos is where it went downhill for me -- with the caveat that I'm obviously vegetarian. My friends did REALLY like the salmon/fish tacos so maybe that's where it didn't quite connect for me. I tried the black kale & mountain spinach and wild hongos tacos and to be honest, I couldn't even tell which was which. They were absolutely LOADED with arugula/slaw on top and frankly I couldn't tell what ingredients were in which taco. They definitely lacked flavor too and I ended up coating them with salsa to even finish them. I had such hope but alas. Service was attentive and friendly and prices were reasonable albeit a bit towards the high side. All in all, my friend in the neighborhood loves this place -- personally, I'm not sure I'll be returning very soon.

Yelp
Definitely a miss for me as well as the others in my party. If I were to come it would be strictly for drinks only. The server wasn't knowledgeable about the menu and or drinks, also said she wasn't new, so there's that. Shrimp ceviche...0/10, it tastes like tomato sauce with vinegar with too many tomato chunks. Pazole... 4/10 not bad but not good. I'll eat it if I'm starving. Lacked flavor and definitely missing some spices. Short Rib Mole... 7/10, short ribs were tender, sauce was decent more on the watery side but it wasn't a bad dish. Not pictured ... She brought out 2 baskets of chips and 1 bowl of salsa for 5 people. The chips were good but extremely salty as if the lid came off the top of salt shaker. She acknowledged our concern and giggled. Meatball soup (the special)... -10/10 by far the worst soup I've tasted. If you can imagine a can of tomato soup, mixed with a can of Chef Boy-yar-Dee sauce and meatballs and a bag of frozen veggies with some sugar. Yep... that was their special. Upon advising the server, again the giggle and walked away. Tacos and tostadas were taken to go and I wish we could have just left them there. Do not recommend. Drinks- delicious, but won't be returning. Portland has too many good spots to indulge in.

Yelp
This is the 2nd time I've eaten here and have not been disappointed yet! The food seems so authentic with such deep rich flavors! Piedmontese Short Rib Taco and the Pesole soup! The taco was so delicious with crispy cabbage, Ancho Chili and lots of Cotjia cheese! The short rib was cooked in a rich Demi glacé and so tender and bursting with flavor. The soup had a lot of chicken with deep rich flavors. My daughter had the Mole Chicken Nachos and I'm not usually a fan of Mole but this was so delicious! I'll get this next time. The service was good. She was the only server and she handled it well even when it started to get busy. Loved this place and liked the outside option of dining with your pet too!

Yelp
I got dessert here so unfortunately it's I my one leg to stand on but it was a sad leg. I got the churros and flan. First off, both were way overpriced. The flan had decent enough texture but had an almost sour flavor. The churros were almost inedibly stale and hard. Which I don't really understand because I ended up having to wait for them. I don't know much about the other food but the dessert was a big whiff

Yelp
What's not to like?! Carlita's is known for its excellent menu, extremely welcoming staff, and tasty drinks. After visiting for my first late-night fun this past weekend, I would happen to agree. There is abundant seating inside and out, with great shade and people-watching opportunities. If you do not mind the streetcar passing every few minutes, you will enjoy this location outside. The team is incredibly lovely. I think at least three separate servers spoke to us about life multiple times, which is still rare in Portland, so I was glad to meet new folks and hear their menu recommendations. I was lucky to arrive in time for the happy hour menu - which is amazing - and we quickly decided on the special taco, ceviche, and several other tacos. The drinks and food arrived in good time, and we never felt pressured to leave, which can be expected at Mexican-inspired restaurants. My only critique is that the tacos had too much happening. Do not get me wrong... they were tasty, yummy, and filling. However, there were too many bland flavors coming from the excess coleslaw. Instead, I'd enjoy more of the curated flavors from each taco. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Excellent spot in the Pearl. Great tequila selection, outside tables, and pretty authentic tacos and tostadas. I love the Posole Rojo, and it was awesome. Great salsa selection for chips, including ghost pepper crema.

Yelp
I finally went to try this place and I was kind of disappointed. The drinks are very good!! Especially the monthly special, pineapple Margarita and psychedelic margarita, but the food was mediocre. I was expecting a punch of flavors and spices in my mouth but I was met with none of that, just a bunch of slaw. Service was also really slow outside. I haven't totally exiled the place, I may go back to try other items that don't have slaw.

Yelp
We love Carlita's on the weekends and always look forward to seeing Hayley. She is amazing and one of the friendliest people I know. She's always happy and smiling and knows exactly what I want when we come in. It's very welcoming. Food and drinks has been perfect, as I will recommend the elote to start out with. If you like Pozole I personally think it's one of the most flavorful ones I have had at any restaurant along with the great tacos. Did I mention that Hayley is the best!! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
this was such a nice open space and i love how there's a park right across the street. our waiter was super friendly and accommodating to us. we ordered quite a few food and drink items (not pictured) and she periodically checked up on us to see if we needed anything else and i really appreciated that. the happy hour drinks also come with a basket of chips and salsa which was really nice. the prickly pear margarita was a july special and it was my favorite thing we ordered. it had such a unique flavor and i'm not a pear person but i really enjoyed it.

Yelp
We came here for a belated Valentine's Day birthday dinner (2 months late) and our server, Jessica M, was terrific and helped me set up our table (for 9) with all the decorations that I brought (table cloth, 4 vases of roses, cake, balloons etc) and got all of our orders correct and fast and our bills separated out. She gets 5 stars for great service! One of the gals had been here before and recommended it and I am so glad she did because the food was great (I got 2 tacos, brisket & mole) and the drinks were amazing! I got the Mezcal white peach margarita. It was the perfect amount of spicy (pretty spicy - because I like it HOT!) and so I had to order 2. Not only did they give complimentary chips but a trio of salsa, guac and a white sauce that was like a very mild sour creme. I think it's called Mexican crema. Yummmmy!! Anyway, the place had enough staff (that's rare these days), was able to accommodate 9 of us last minute - even though the restaurant was full, and it's in the safe part of downtown (the Pearl). It's clean, friendly, has easy parking and inflation hasn't seemed to affect their prices yet. If you like good Mexican food - you must try this place out. That comes upon the recommendation of the one Hispanic friend we had with us that gave it a thumbs up for tasting deliciously authentic.

Yelp
Super fun atmosphere, and apparently the drinks were tasty (I wasn't partaking). Service was a solid 5 stars, my 2 stars are solely based on the food. I tried 4 different types of tacos: pork belly, short rib, carne asada, and the aguacates and my biggest complaints were that the tacos lacked any real pop of flavor, and there is so much house slaw, and so little meat, that I felt like I was eating a salad not a taco. I'd go back for ambiance, service, and drinks, but skip dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
$12 guacamole is madness! Inflation is high but it's not that high. It was the price the size of the guacamole for $12 was a kids portion smh. The happy hour menu wasn't really happy. The jar of margaritas is supposed to give five to six glasses it was more like four. Better off buying them individual glasses instead of the pitcher. This place wants to be upscale Mexican restaurant but they only sell tacos, nachos and soup. I've had way better Mexican food at a food truck for a fraction of the cost. Oh yeah chips and salsa do not come with the table you must but an entree.

Yelp
So, all I have to say is, delicious!!!!! I had the elote, the shrimp ceviche, a pork belly taco, strawberry margarita (2). Oh and I had churros for dessert. I know that's a lot but I haven't eaten all day. Making up my calorie intake. it was all worth it. Kiss the freaking chef!!!! Everything was very flavorful and fresh. I will be back, It's only a 7 minute walk from my place, which makes it even better!!! Yay!!!! Happy hour is 4-6 & 9-close. Great for an after work whine down and a weekend chill spot. My server was great, never pushy or seemed overwhelmed, I swear she worked the whole floor all by herself and killed it!!!

Yelp
Had a nice happy hour experience here! We arrived at around 5:30 pm and were seated immediately. The vibe is casual and relaxed - the restaurant is dimly lit with fun Top 40 music playing in the background. Interestingly enough, the clientele was a little older, probably around late 40-50s so we were definitely asked for our IDs despite being in our 30s (haha!). The service was quick and friendly! They have a decent selection for their happy hour menu consisting of $7 cocktails and discounts on their soups, salads, tacos, sandwiches, and ceviches. The food was above average and for the happy hour prices, we were satisfied. Some of our favorites were the chicken tortilla soup, carne asada taco, and pork belly taco. I would avoid the posole rojo soup as it was very thin and bland. Overall a pleasant experience and we will be back!

Yelp
Wow! Where to begin. . . I was very impressed with Carlita's. I took my wife here for a nice dinner and was not disappointed. The place has an industrial chic vibe that just works. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated right away. The place did get busy so perhaps a reservation would be a good idea. Anyways, the food was amazing! It felt like I was in a fancy resort down in Tulum. I tried the blackended salmon and carne asada tacos, my wife ordered the Posole Rojo and the elote. The tacos were all delicious, I dont think you can go wrong with any of the tacos. I was really impressed with my wifes food lol. The posole was the most authentic I've eaten at a restaurant, and the elote still appears in my dreams to this day. It was probably my favorite item I tried. Of course the drinks were great too. Kudos to Carlita's for stocking Siete Leguas, my absolute favorite tequila. Great ambiance, great food, and good service. Come try Carlita's you wont be disappointed.

Erikka R.

Yelp
Our crew was here on Valentine's night but to celebrate a birthday. The service was fantastic. Even though we weren't the Valentines group, we were still given enough attention. The drinks and food were all delicious. We even had the Mexican fondu, yummmm! Would definitely come here again.

Yelp
It's great to have a casual dining spot in the Pearl where you can get an exceptional margarita and some decent tacos without breaking the bank. Plenty of outdoor seating as Carlita's is on the corner of 11th and Northrop. Even better, they have Happy Hour everyday from 4-6 and again from 9pm-close (Friday & Saturday HH excludes the cocktails.) There are a variety of tacos and since they all sounded delicious, I went with a pork belly, chicken mole and carne asada. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and really gave a unique taste to the taco. The mole sauce for the chicken was rich and flavorful - I'd buy a bottle of the sauce! And the carne asada was tender, not over cooked or chopped too small which is often the case. The tacos are loaded with coleslaw, too much actually. Coleslaw should serve as a dressing, but in this case, the proportions were equal to or more than the fillings and overwhelmed the taco. Next time I will do my own edit and remove half and eat on the side rather than in the taco. I want to taste the protein! We shared a dish of chips and fresh guacamole that also came with tomatillo salsa. All were good; the salsa is a small bowl so we asked for a refill As we quickly ran out. Margaritas were on point. None of that sickenly sweet premade mixer, thankfully! We both went with the classic, I take mine without a salted rim, and they really hit the spot on a sunny afternoon. Service was friendly and efficient adding to the comfortable atmosphere and vibe of this neighborhood gem.

Brent K.

Yelp
Solid. Went for late nigh happy hour. Had pork belly and carne asada tacos. Pork belly taco ehhhh. Not again for me. Carne asada ( bring it on any day ). Flavorful and loaded. I'll try the chicken next time. It's a higher end Mexican rest but I think it's solid so far.
google avatar

Jill S.

Yelp
Yeah taco Tuesday! I got the Oaxacan flight of five tasty tacos as did one of the other gals. The two others were able to do a vegetarian flight that's not listed on the menu. Drinks were good as was the guac and chips, and I liked my flight. Lots of outdoor seating which is great for the summer. Cheers!
google avatar

Mathmatik L.

Yelp
Ordered the carne asada and the pork taco, and ELOTES. The elotes were decent. The pork was just ok, like everybody else says - too much slaw. The carne asada had literally zero flavor. The tacos looked pretty though ‍
google avatar

Erin J.

Yelp
Yay, vegetarian tacos!! I love it there are three really good options to choose from. The tacos are really substantial and totally delicious. They are topped with a heap of slaw. If that's not your thing you might not like these tacos but I enjoyed every bite. There is an avocado sauce/salsa that reminded me of the dipping sauce I used to get with taquitos (in SoCal) when I was a kid. So good! I highly recommend getting that sauce for whatever you order. Margaritas also delicious. Service was great.
google avatar

Prince Yusopov E.

Yelp
The Poblano Chicken Salad is amazing! Made with chicken mole, with greens and veggies. Good attentive service - The old way. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Marissa R.

Yelp
Yummm! We got a variety of different tacos and they were great... the corn elote appetizer was super good!! Service was awesome as well.
google avatar

Geronimo W.

Yelp
Definitely a must go, mole chicken nachos and the service is more than welcoming. I am a fan.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Carlita's has awesome food and drinks. We drive all the way from Ridgefield, WA to see Hayley's smiling face. She is fun, polite and always remembers our order. She is a key reason we keep on coming back. Highly recommend Carlita's on the weekend~!
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
I stopped by Carlita's for happy hour. They offer discounts on appetizers, tacos and cocktails from 4-6 on weekdays. They also offer free chips and salsa with a happy hour drink order. The chips and salsa were solid! I enjoyed the flavorful salsa. I also tried the chicken mole nachos. The mole sauce and cheese worked together nicely. They added black olives to the dish, which didn't work in my opinion. The chicken was good, but I did have one piece that was dry and tough.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
TL;DR: I've been here twice and DREAM of returning the second I leave. Came here for a quick date night the other night. Got sat right away. The staff are SO friendly! We managed to squeak in about 20 minutes before HH ended. We ordered some of the lime tortilla chips with their regular house salsa. Good lord it was delicious. I don't know how they got so much flavor out of those chips and salsa but they were fantastic. I ordered two pork belly tacos, the SO also ordered the same plus one fish taco. I wish there was a language on this earth that could explain how amazing those pork belly tacos are. The meat is so succulent, soft, crispy, and flavorful. It pairs perfectly with all the toppings in such a way that each bite is the ideal, "perfect" bite. My SO said the fish tacos were equally amazing, but in a totally different way. Fresh and flavorful, the fish tacos were a perfect balance. We ended the night with a brownie which was the perfect touch. It wasn't too expensive either! (But honestly, how do you put a price on a wonderful atmosphere, lovely staff, and mind-boggling food?)

Sabrina M.

Yelp
Snowmageddeon and all restaurants were closed except for Carlita's. Excellent tacos and the margarita flight was amazing. Thanks for being open!
google avatar

Melinda H.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place. It's my favorite spot for great food at inexpensive prices. And this last week during an unexpected snowfall they were the only place I could get to when I ran out of food in my cupboard and despite being low on staff due to weather, we had impeccable service from our server, Hallie. She's awesome!! The place was really full and she never stopped moving. Overall, awesome spot!
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
Simply spectacular, I had the short rib taco and pork belly. Talk about luxurious.. the short rib falls apart and the pork belly is an your face explosion of flavor. They pozole was pretty fantastic and the ceviche i could eat all day. If you skip this place when you are in Portland you have dinner yourself an injustice.
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
We dined in for dinner and had an okay experience. My husband and I had two rounds of drinks, a margarita for round one and the a mezcal to arms for me and drugstore cowboy up for him for round 2. We split the guacamole and elote to start then had tacos. You can order one taco for $5.25 or two for $10. I chose the pork belly and he chose the blackened salmon and carne asada. The service and drinks were good but the food was average. I didn't care for the pork belly taco and would opt for a different option next time.
google avatar

Eric H.

Yelp
Came here for our Valentines dinner. We are from Seattle and we're very late getting into town so they weren't busy at all. Servers were attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. I'm positive this is a fun place when they're not about to close lol. The drink menu was huge and were tons of options from whisky to tequila.
google avatar

Kate Z.

Yelp
Ray is the best manager I know in portland! Her food is exceptional and she had great staff. Make sure you go! Tacos to die for. A skillet that is straight fire and margaritas for all!
google avatar

Ali P.

Yelp
Really great tacos!! The guac was very good also. They have a great selection of tacos to meet everyone's taste. The tacos were actually large and very filling that a couple of tacos was enough to fill me up with an app. The marg wasn't very strong and very sweet. The inside of the restaurant was cute and the service was good! I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
Bartender and server treated us so well even close to closing time. Food was on point! Atmosphere was so clean and uplifting! Look at my pictures and pick these delicious items!

Dylan L.

Yelp
Great food. Good service. Nice outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Go there often

Yelp
Did someone say HH . This place has not one but two HHs and than add to it the delicious Tacos and Margaritas and you have yourself not a Happy hour but a whole Happy Evening . In the spirit of Full disclosure though ,everything we ordered happened between the two HHs but the prices looked too good to skip next time . They have both indoor and outdoor seating and with the Portland weather being a perfect ten these days ,we chose to sit out . The service is very fast and friendly ,even though our server mixed up one of our drinks but nevertheless, Tequila in any form is pleasing for me so ,no harm done there . The bar is stocked well with a variety of whiskey and agave selections and they also offer a few beers and wines to round out the offerings. The drinks menu very well compliments the food and I had a hard time picking my cocktails because of the great choices . The LA Margarita De Carlita was a favorite with our group and we tried a couple different flavors and the Mango came out as a clear winner . The other drink that I tried was Drugstore Cowboy and I would steer clear of it next time as it was way too sour for my taste .The hubby was a big fan of their Mezcal cocktails . The Tacos come heaped with coleslaw , which I think we can do with a little less of . We tried a few different options including Mole Chicken , Yucatan pork ,Black kale and Mountain Spinach , Aguacates Taco . The Yucatan pork and Mole chicken clearly felt like the winners for me .The chips guac ,salsa all tasted fresh as well . We had a great time with the good food and great service and I definitely recommend them if you are in the area.

Laura R.

Yelp
Not a fan. The nachos were decent. We also ordered tacos, they were over salted and lacked flavor. Never a thing... my husband did not finish any of the tacos.
google avatar

Yelp
Yum yum yum. I tried a few places in Portland, and I have to say this is quite enjoyable. If I return to Portland, I will definitely return!!!

Yelp
3.5 stars came on a late Friday night for dinner bc it was the only place nearby that offered a later closing time with real food near the hotel. Their happy hour says 9pm to close on their menu but they told us that it didn't apply so that was kind of confusing. I had the elote, pork belly taco, and the Los dios mios cocktail. - elote: corn was a bit over cooked so it lacked that crunch and was a little mushy. The cream sauce on its own was good but I think when mixed with the seasoning it didn't blend as well as I would have liked. - pork belly tacos: enjoyed these. The pork belly was well cooked and seasoned. There was a heaping pile of the veggie slaw on top which was a bit too much bc the meat to veggie ratio was a bit off but nothing I could resolve on my own lol. The green sauce it was comes with is this refreshing jalapeño sauce that I thought balanced out the taco very well. Refreshing acidity with smoked umami from the pork belly. - cocktail: a bit too sweet for my liking
google avatar

Yelp
Fabulous place. The food is delicious, there is indoor and outdoor seating and if you are a cocktail fan, they have a wide range of delicious drinks. The tacos are super fresh and very large. I only need one as a meal when I share Carlita's skillet as an appetizer.
google avatar

Raquel O.

Yelp
The food and drinks here are SOOOOOO delicious! If you love Mexican food, they have delicious/modern Mexican food. I fell in love with all the salsas they have for you to choose from. The pineapple and chipotle are my favorite. My husband likes the chipotle one. We have tried almost all their tacos, ceviche, guacamole and we haven't left disappointed. My husband doesn't like alcohol but there is something about their margaritas that he enjoys. There have been times we have gone for their happy hour just so we can have a margarita after a long day at work. I am giving the location a 4 out of 5 though because staff is really nice but when it's busy they seem flustered and off. There were one or two times it seemed like they forgot about us during these times.
google avatar

Melanie A.

Yelp
This was a really great happy hour! The tacos were everything I want in a taco. I got the carne, it was flavorful, lots of thin shredded cabbage. Yummy avocado salsa. I wish this place was close to me. I would be a regular. Blackberry margarita was also perfection.
google avatar

Howard G.

Yelp
Nice casual place. I went here for Taco Tuesdays with a small group (we each got our own check) and got a flight of 5 tacos, all very good, as were the cocktails. However, there was not one mention of the built in 18% tip on the menu or by our server Marissa S. (or on their website) so I ended up tipping her again and she got a 38% tip overall. Now she was a fine server but, come on, that's sneaky...so, read the fine print on your bill if you go! ~

Yelp
Being that this place is in the pearl I guess it's expected for the prices to be more than the average but I would expect the quality to better to match those prices. Sadly, I don't think for the quantity and quality that the prices match. Everything seemed to be just okay. If you do decide to go, do the happy hour. Just set you expectations low.

Yelp
food was not great the tacos were sweet and not spicy the salsa tasted like tomato paste over the only thing great about this place was the avocado salsa. And the salty chips. and the chips which you still had to pay for yee

Yelp
Went in for the first time (where have I been!?) last night for dinner. My partner and I decided to come early and have drinks before our friends arrived for dinner. We passed the time with some delicious cocktails, a martini and spicy margarita. Both were perfect. We switched to a dinner table when our friends arrived. The service the whole evening was prompt and polite! The server was really great and a sweetheart. We had the tuna ceviche for an app. The tuna was good, but the sauce in the ceviche was a little odd. It wasn't horrible, but I would have enjoyed it more if it was a tad more traditional. I had the mole chicken salad. It was pretty plain and really not that interesting. Everyone else had a variety of tacos and loved them. All in all it was a nice experience. We will be back!

Yelp
This is one of my wife's favorite restaurants and are "go to" for food with a Mexican/Latin flare. I highly recommend the pineapple salsa. Goes great with their pork belly tacos. If you're looking for something more healthy, try the seared Ahi Tuna salad. Substitute with their Avocado Lime dressing instead of the chili dressing it comes with. Last but not least their Chicken Tortilla soup is delicious. Not too hearty but not watered down either. They give plenty of chicken.

Yelp
Walked in for taco Tuesdays and were sat immediately. My wife and I had margaritas, chips and guac, and nachos. I also had the Baja taco flight which is a cool taco Tuesday deal! It was fun to try all the tacos and try to figure out what taco was which flavor. I could definitely see this becoming our regular taco spot. Drinks and food were delicious!
