Carlo e Camillo Bistrot

Located at the Grand Hotel Sitea, with a direct access from the hotel bar, this restaurant offers an interesting variety of Italian classics. The food is good and the staff helping and friendly. Nothing to complaint, but it's not going to be fine dining as we name it.

The interior is nothing to call home about but the deceptively simple cuisine is hearty and full of wonderful flavours. One can tell there is a great chef behind the scene.

After informing the waitstaff and on my booking that my partner was a celiac, they still brought a bread service for both… managed that, but they also incorrectly brought her a gluten side dish. Unapologetic on correcting. Heavily priced, disappointing food and dangerous allergen handling. Wouldn’t recommend if you are a celiac. Update the restaurant confirmed they didn’t provide contaminated food. But haven’t taken accountability for serving the wrong dishes. Suggest reading other reviews when considering dining here.

The food was too salty and very basic for the price, and the staff was very extremely cold and unhelpful. It felt like everyone there hated tourists, which is very weird for a hotels restaurant. Would absolutely not recommend.

Very disappointed as the menu was written on cardboard with a marker. Google was unable to translate the writing. We used Google translate to communicate with the staff, but the staff was not helpful so we left.

Man geht natürlich mit Erwartungen hierher. Essen ist ok, aber nicht außergewöhnlich, eher durchschnittlich. Relativ große Portionen. Preislich ok. Das Personal war mäßig engagiert. Ambiente ist gemütlich. Warum es dieses Restaurant in den Guide Michelin geschafft hat, ist mir allerdings ein Rätsel…
