I came in here for dinner around 5pm. Food came out super quick. Everything tasted decent. Got a regular burger and some chicken fingers on the side. The burger was reasonably priced at just $10. The fountain sodas here are a mess. Most of them are off brands and they are legit warm. Only reason I got it is because of the free refills. Ice machine didn’t work but the staff was nice enough to get me some from the back. Overall service was pretty good. Will update next time I go.

This place has amazing food for great prices. I couldn’t believe that I could get a burger, fries and drink for $10 in the five towns. The owner is there all day and is extremely nice, makes it a pleasure to come here for lunch.

Interesting place. Way to dim And it's not a fancy place to be dim! Boiling hot The temperature ruins atmosphere But all together it was a pretty great experience not bad food!

This place is literally falling apart. When we were there it was raining and there was a massive leak right in the middle of the dining room. In addition, the place hasn’t been updated in what looks like 50 years. Unbelievable. The real reason for 1-star is not even the leak…we order wings that were spoiled, took it back to the counter and was told I would receive a refund in 2-3 days. Why can’t they just take back money that they took? It doesn’t make sense. Anyway, the refund never came. And there wasn’t even so much as an apology. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I followed up with on these issues with an email to the parent company and never heard back.

Carlos became one of my favorite stores when i walked in a couple of years ago and saw that the have all their sauces and dips out for you to take as much as you like and they dont bug out at you but unfortunaly due to covid they stopped. of course you have to get the classic and get the cedarhurst. the popcorn chicken is amazing and they load up the nachos. their best burger in my opinion is the texas wrangler. prices are also not to bad pretty decent.

The most unbelievable service and delectable food! Robbie is a mensch. You will NOT be disappointed.

The food was truly amazing!! The zingers were hot and crispy, the poppers were to die for, and the wings were bursting with flavor!! The sauces that were included were great as well!! The service was great, nice people by the counter and the food was out fast!!! Overall, our party of 14 was very pleased with Carlos and Gabby's!! Will surely order again and I definitely recommend this place!!!

Went to purchase some items on January 11, 2024 for a family member. They had me wait for 35 minutes onsite. At that point, I asked if they had placed my order and they responded no, at which point I left. The toilet did not work; it was unable to be flushed and thus full. I would most certainly would not return.

Their hot dogs and buffalo fingers are 10 out of 10 I can't get enough! The service is fast they finish the food fast!

I've been to all of their locations in the boros and have to say that this location by far is my fave and always consistent in quality, service, portion and taste. My favorite are the chabibi eggrolls, spicy double beef burrito and the smoked brisket tacos. Their menu is expansive and so it's not hard for anyone to find something to their liking here. Eating in is a pleasant experience and they're also open late for a great take out option too.

Horrible service, they put out all the wrong food, the food that comes is burnt and disgusting will not be back.

No toilet seat in the men's room. Thank goodness I didn't need one. That alone warrants a one star. No cold water handle in the men's room. Only hot water. No paper towels or dryer of any kind in the bathroom. Why am I harping on the bathroom? Because it's indicative of the quality of the place. Had to search the place for a clean table. Everything in the place is greasy. I had Gabby's Favorite sandwich. It consisted of toasted bread, greasy but unflavored mushrooms and onions (maybe salt them, guys?), and some type of sliced meat. The meat was OK but the overall sandwich was flavorless without adding sauce. The fries were thin commercial fries and seemed to be unsalted. As a kid, I would have liked this place. No adult should eat here.

ok when you need the KOSHER meat ...this place serves of burritos and such. They have plenty of seats since they moved. It has a nice theme to it. its counter service pick up not wait staff but that is ok, though it can be choppy serving when you have a big order. so you sit and relax. They serve so called Mexican and losts of regular stuff too, fries, soup, and faux spinach dip n chips its ok its not great but it is Kosher and that is good

I love this place! I order it at least once a week! Amazing food for kids with an in-house ICEE machine! Totally recommend for families.

Three strikes...you're out! I ordered from this establishment several times in the past, and was never really enthralled with the food. Their food is mediocre at best, fairly overpriced, but kosher take out food is like that in general, and yeah I'm Jewish. Let's get straight to the point they're Mexican food is OK, but I would not recommend any of their deli sandwiches especially steak or turkey I found it to be really dry and tuff on more than one occasion. My latest order arrived and was disappointing - very unappetizing, both in appearance and taste. I'm not trying to be harsh, just honest. I felt as though I was eating someone's leftovers from last week, from the back of the refrigerator...and not in a good way. Dudes do you realize someone actually paid for this crap and wanted to eat it? Also, I specified that I needed plasticware, none was included, nor was there any ketchup for the fries, or any napkins. While we're at it, let's talk about the way the food was packaged, really sub par with no logos, or customized napkins or cups. Thanks for ruining my lunch C&G's!

I have been eating here for over 5 years and just love the variety and selection available. If I want wraps, sandwiches, a salad or burrito - they have it. The ambiance is laid back with a tex mex flair, you can be dressed casual or in a suit and you'll fit right in. I personally like salads and the Philly cheesesteak roll, but the best is the panini burger - they can't them any better. Really the best burger I've had in a while. Like any food service establishment they get slammed on weekends and I place a order for pickup, but lunch time you can spread out and enjoy a quieter atmosphere.

Worst customer service i've ever heard while placing a phone order in my life. The lady on the phone was so incredibly cold and uninviting, her attitude was inexcusable and made me not even want to come pick up my order. The cauliflower we took to go was so soggy we could not even eat it: Overall the customer service foreshadowed our disappointing meal and don't believe people like that should be working in customer service. Really really annoying

First of all, the prices on their website are "at least 2 or 3 years old," as Cashier Rob has told me. He attempted to charge me about $3-4 more (including tax) than what the bill should have been going by the prices on the website. After some deliberation, he reluctantly "honored" the price, but said it was a "one time thing" and that next time I would have to pay the increased price, despite the website (which I used for reference to make my order) still saying the lower prices. That aside, the food is mediocre, at best. The burger patties are barely seasoned and if you're looking for flavor, look elsewhere. The bun was pretty good, but it was made all soggy from whatever that sauce is that they put on it... And don't bother asking for your burgers to be cooked to any particular temperature, apparently they will just cook them to medium-well, anyway. I also asked for my fries to be cooked extra crispy, but they were mostly soggy and sad with only the slightest bit of crispiness on some of the tips. I definitely won't be going back, for the awful combination of service and quality. The only reason this place is even getting a second star is because they eventually did honor the "old" prices, and some of my coworkers do enjoy food from here.

I am from a city where Mexican food is superb. I also lived in Texas. So I know Tex-mex. I have no clue what this is. The food is mediocre at best. The service is not great. It's sort of like super expensive fast food. You leave wishing you hadn't ever gone through the door. I wish they'd serve real Mexican food. A good kosher Mexican restaurant could do well around here.

Definitely my choice lunch location when I happen to be in the area. Carlos and Gabbys is a far cry from a Mexican restaurant, while they have some items on the menu, I was never too impressed with the quality. The real gem lies in their chicken and steak sandwiches. The bread they use is great, the portions are large and the free nachos with homemade salsa are a plus (thank God they got rid of those blue and red food colored chips) The lunch special says half a sandwich and fries but every time I have gone they gave me a full sandwich. Their menu is a bit large and can be confusing to first time customers, but overall a good cheap place to eat. As they are a fast food restaurant, healthy menu options are limited but available.

I love Carlos and Gabby's! This is my office's favorite lunch spot and we usually order a ton of food. Service is great and loads of selections for the picky kosher eater. Mexican choices are not too shabby and the sandwiches they have are huge! Definitely try the nacho grande- it is to die for! I'm going to try the Kew Garden Hills location tonight and see if it's as good :) You must swing by if you're in the 5 towns area.

lets start off with the manager. SO BAD MANNERED WHAT A CHARACTER! i experienced him being very snappy with his employees and almost senile. second of all i had got an order of fries that were soggy and asked for a new order and he proceeded to go to the back and get me a new order of fries only for me to be let down! they were cold. this man is ridiculous. And on top of all that from the other few times i've been there he seems like a pervert, calling his young workers "hotties" and telling them to dress a certain way to work extremely gross. i can bet that those young girls had to be at most 16 years of age. this man has got to GO. 10/10 don't recommend this restaurant and their greasy tasteless food take your money elsewhere folks.

Great food, great service, fun and cool environment. Great for breakfast lunch, dinner, brunch, a funeral, a reunion, a birthday, a wake(they cater), a midnight snack, munchies, airplane, graduation, lunch meeting, dinner meeting, breakfast meeting(you guys know what I'm talking about), pre-game, post-game, holiday party, thanksgiving, kwanza, or a casual wedding. I strongly disagree with "Rafi M"'s comment about their day environment, I find it to be the most exciting and innovative location in the whole town, maybe even state. If only there were six stars...

The food is great. No complaints there. My issue is the manager, Robbie. You'll never meet a ruder/nastier person in restaurant management than this clown. I've spent ten thousand dollars plus at this place, order from there every week and I've never once had a positive encounter with him. He's always nasty, always speaks to customers with a temper, has no manners or etiquette and has/will continue to cost this restaurant a ton of business. He's yelled at me for standing to the side and waiting for my order dozens of times, told me to my face I'm a waste of time and told the employees there not to waste their time and to take other orders when every employee there knows my order by heart. I've spoken to many people in the community who had similar experiences and his employees have never had a nice thing to say about him to me. The guy needs to go. He's a joke.

What a nightmare. I showed up for dinner with my 2 kids who enjoy the food and hot sauce selection. First, none of the tables were cleaned. I attempted to give my order to the manager who instructed me to give the order to a new cashier. I gave him a complete order and had him read it back. I tried to change part of the order and then all hell broke lose. Once I began to go through the order with the manager, I was told that I omitted 1/3 of my order, which I did. This increased my order by $12.00. Then when I asked where my fries were...I was told I needed to pay yet more money. Well, then I started to raise my voice, I got my fries. Did I mention all three meals were served separately? The poor cashier did not know what he was doing. The manager gives does not know the meaning of customer service, but my kids liked the food. But, it will take me a while to go back there.

Carlos & Gabby's is Awesome!!! Food is amazing. Staff are very nice!!! And they are quick. Always look forward to ordering from them

Consistently rude. Once put meat in something I ordered vegetarian and was not sympathetic when I called to say something and asked me what they wanted them to do about it - uh, apologize?. Wasn't even looking for my money back, was just looking to inform them just to be more careful next time. This time, he complains we're on the phone too long. You're the one who puts me on hold when I'm in the middle of speaking! I could have placed the order in a minute, but I am allowed to ask questions about the food I'm ordering. I gave them a second chance, this was the last one.

Great food if you want a meal or just a snack the Texas wrangler burger is my favorite along with the onion haystack I just can't get enough yum

Sticky greasy and delish. Great fast food. Great seating. But the grime cannot be overlooked and the service can be on the nasty side.

Best deal in town. Great food with competitive pricing. They also have a great variety of tasty foods, ranging from greasy to very healthy. It's a one-stop shop for everyone's neurotic needs for supper. P.S. order the Cedarhurst. It's most dizzy! :)

THEY DO NOT DELIVER, DESPITE SAYING SO ON YELP! My fiancé and I were visiting the city and made an order through their website. I received an email confirming the order for delivery. I entered in our hotel address and everything. Spent over $60 and waited over an hour... No delivery. I called the restaurant and they told me they don't deliver on Tuesdays. When I explained that his website said differently, he asked where I was, (3 miles away) and said he didn't deliver THERE. Then offered to deliver it, for $40. We had no way of picking it up without taking a cab since we were simply visiting and this was a huge inconvenience. Since I wouldn't be getting the food I had ordered (and already paid for as they charged my card) I asked for a refund. He said he would refund it and asked me to hold only to hang up on me. I've called back only to be hung up on again!! No refund has been issued and we never got our food and the man I spoke to was incredibly unprofessional, yelled at me, called me names and said I was crazy, despite me having screen shots of their site saying they did deliver and the email confirmation for delivery. I will never order from them again and would highly recommend that no one else do business with these scam artists either!!

Definitely my "go to" place when I just don't know what I want. Great appetizers, especially the chicken zingers. I love the taste of their chicken wings but I can't deal with the little feathers. Why can't they be cleaned better? A more recent addition, the fried wontons, while not winning any AMA awards, is spicy & delicious. And EVERYTHING tastes better with the avocado ranch dressing. Their burgers are delicious. I really like the magic mushroom burger, though it's preparation is inconsistent, sometimes lots of sauce, sometimes almost none. I think they're best known for their sandwiches and wraps. The pollo del sol is my favorite and i have it in a whole wheat wrap. It's really out of this world! Their soups and salads are very popular, too. On the downside, it gets real loud when it's crowded. If you're craving C&G during peak time, you'd be better off calling for take-out. Overall, very good. Enjoy!

Order food from this place and was given fries that was from the day before and was reheated.

I don't recommend this place. It is aesthetically pleasing but upon a closer look, it was dirty. I know there is no waitressing staff but clean the tables and the counters. Everything was sticky and grimy. Upon our better judgment our party of 5 decided to stay and ordered different things from the menu (burritos, tacos, nachos, spicy fries, jalapeno poppers). The food was mediocre at best although I have to say that out of everything we tasted, the brisket taco was decent.

Ordered take out from here a few weeks back, and was shocked with how messy the place was. There really is no excuse, for a dining establishment to have paper wrappers and discarded food on the floor. Not only is it a safety hazard but calls into question the cleanliness of the food.

I didn't have any issues with the staff, as some reviewers have suggested. The food was very subpar, however. The critiques on the food itself are accurate. Eh

I had an issue with an Order placed over the phone at this location , the manager Robbie was extremely rude and unprofessional. He Made numerous inappropriate jokes trying to justify the issue . He is not someone that should representing this brand and company . He should be retrained in the hospitality division because he obviously missed that step completely !

Best fast food in the 5 towns. Highly recommended for post airplane meal or late night snack. A bit sad during the day though.

While there is nothing "Mexican" about Carlos & Gabby's, the concoctions they have created are really good. The eggrolls were awesome and the breading on the fried chicken was very tasty (I could have sworn it was Kellog's Frosted Flakes).

Wonderful decor and very family friendly. I'm in love with the hot sauce options, and they have Louisiana brand. They've improved an tweaked their food over the years so give another try if it's been a couple years. A lot of the food is good BUT be aware it's their own concoctions 'tex-mex style'. If you've never eaten in a real Taquria, aren't from Texas, and don't know what a enchilada vs Tostada is go here. If you're in a flexible mood on your definition of those foods go for it.

The individuals of the counter very pleasant. The food however I had a lot to be desired. The buffalo wings were dry not much me and Frankly they were pathetic. The tacos all the ingredients except for the meat was great however tasted like it had been cooking since the early morning. They need to pay more attention to the meet and how long it's been cooking, and the wings if they're going to sell them should go to Cosco and buy their wings and use them as a signature, more meat, better tasting and I'll whole lot more meat.

The guy at the cashier who wears glasses is the biggest asshole ever! He is so disrespectful, if I have a question about a certain menu item he screams at me like I'm supposed to know what it is exactly. The food is great especially The Cedarhurst sandwich but he's a disgusting human being.

Fun Kosher Tex-Mex place. Decent looking enough for a casual business lunch. Otherwise, more family oriented.

Went there several times. The food is not bad at all, that's why we came back, and as long as you eat in, you'll be fine. However, EVERY SINGLE takeout and pickup order was wrong. Either one dish was substituted for another, or items were left out entirely. Yesterday, I finally had enough and called them to complain. They offered no apologies, just plenty of excuses, IE, we're very busy and mistakes happen during processing of the order, ETC. I said, if it only happened once, I wouldn't mind, things happen, but EVERY SINGLE TIME? There's no excuse for that. In my book, that is BAD customer service. Parking is in a mini-mall lot across the street and could be problematic at times. It's a family dining place, so always packed and very noisy. That's to be expected and I don't find that objectionable at all. On a scale of 1-10 for cleanliness, I'd give it a 6 at best. Service is practically nonexistent once you leave the order counter. 2 stars is about as much as I can give here and that's only because the food is pretty good.

Food is really great, service is fast. Not sure if it's authentic Mexican, because it's the only Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten.

This was our first time here and we will not be back. The cashiers were very unprofessional and dressed liked they were having out at home and not at a job. They were pretty rude when ordering because we had questions and when asking if my husband could just get a crispy chicken sandwich, since that wasn't on the menu the girl said it couldn't be done (at a higher platter price which we were ok with paying.). Our bill was $32 for a burrito, chicken sandwich, fries and 2 drinks and we could've gotten much more at Chipotle for less. I got a burrito which was very thin and the chicken sandwich was thin and on a sub. Their menu is all over the place and not all Mexican. The girl used a very powerful smelling cleaning solution that smelled so bad you couldn't taste your food and it still smelled 10 minutes later. All of the customers around us said the same thing. We would not recommend this place.
