Carlos 'n Charlie's Restaurant

Went to the Habitat behind the Flamingo Casino and happened across Carlos’ n Charlie’s which was serving 2 for 1 drinks. We took them up on their offer. Ordered drinks and nachos. The nachos were HUGE!! Great atmosphere outside next to the pink flamingos and koi pond. Great margaritas and beers. Cheap place in a world of overpriced bars & restaurants.

Carlos ‘n Charlie’s Restaurant is a busy restaurant inside the Flamingo Resort. I like the lively atmosphere there. We were there on a late afternoon, before rush hour, to have a couple of drinks and snacks. The restaurant's outdoor seating area is pretty busy. A lot of people are having a fun time there with their friends and family. The foods and drinks are okay. But the service was a little slow.

Food was good and well-priced for Vegas. They have great happy hour specials with delicious margaritas. Vibe wss relaxed and the bathrooms were clean. Sam, our server, did an amazing job!

I love this place so much. I have stayed at flamingo two times now and revisited this place multiple times on each trip. Not only is it an amazing place to go out at night and dance, but the drinks are decently priced and the food is also very good. The tableside guac was amazing And the ceviche was also so delicious and large portion. My friend got the tacos and also really enjoyed them! Staff is super friendly as well. Highly recommend.!

My husband and I stayed at the Flamingo Hilton last weekend. We went to Carlos and Charlie’s a few times for drinks and breakfast. The patio has a great vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was a good price and the omelettes were pretty good as well.

Belated review! We went back in August, but when we went the food was very good. We were all happy with our dishes, and even though it was a busy night it didn't really take a long time to get our order which was nice. The food did seem a little over priced to me, but it is a spot along the strip so it is in par with strip prices. The inside of the restaurant also has the tables a bit close to accommodate the amount of traffic they get, so I did feel a bit smooshed in our seating area but over all we had a nice dinner together here before moving on to explore the strip more.

The chicken mole was very good and there was a lot of it. So were the beans with jalapeno's, the portion size was small though. The rice was undercooked and had no flavor. They serve hand made flour tortillas, a big plus in my book. Service was prompt and pleasant. Noise level was reasonable for being in a casino. It did get loud a few times but it was a good atmosphere. And they have an extended happy hour with 2 for 1 drinks, although the drinks were small and overpriced.

My hubby and I are local and celebrated our Wedding Anniversary in Cromwell... We always struggle with food around But once we found this place ... we were hooked! 3 night stay.. and we ate here 3 times!! We had wet burritos for the first time.. tried the quesadilla and loved the breakfast burrito!!! I Loved the outdoor comfy dining.. colorful spot.. Friendly atmosphere...large menu... I am disappointed there isn't a local location 😆 I think we will be back for date nights! Fast service and to ice the cake, free photos and options for buying them at a low cost. 5 Plus Starts!!!

"Fun Breakfast Spot at the Flamingo" I stopped in at Carlos 'n Charlie's for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the energy was upbeat -- football was playing on the TVs, and I loved watching a game while I ate and drank. I ordered the green chilaquiles, and they were excellent -- flavorful, fresh, and just the right portion size. The mimosa was okay but not very strong; I'd recommend the Sex on the Beach cocktail instead if you want something with more kick. Prices were reasonable, food came out quickly, and it's a fun, convenient spot right inside the Flamingo. I'd definitely come back for the chilaquiles and the lively morning vibe.

My first time in Vegas!! Went out to eat for breakfast and our server Sam was a GEM! We were in a bit of a rush and we had drinks, food and the check in NO time! Sam was super friendly, quick, accurate and had a fun vibe! We will be coming back for SURE!!!

We came here to meet up with relatives. We weren't expecting to eat anything but were told to order something. We ended up ordering the nachos (cheeese and bean only). My father in law had the chicken parmigiana and our other to relatives has some type of steak tacos. We were told by all of them that the Nachos were the BEST thing in the table. The meat for the other orders were described as tough and overcooked. The comment that was made was that being that this place was located inside the casino it should have been a little better. I can't really complain because you really can't mess up nachos. I was happy with what I got. The ambiance was ok. It was pretty empty for a Monday at 2PM. The service was good, no complaints there. Would I come back again? Probably not. This would not be on my list of options to come back to. Not even for a second chance. I just was not impressed. If you want some good nachos that will fill you up, this would be the place. I don't even know how much they were to say whether or not it was worth it. Try at your own discretion.

Surprisingly good. The molletes were delicious and with the side of avocado that I ordered it made it bettter. The avocado toast was good as well. I did order a side of bacon to put on. The vibe is upbeat. Different genre of music playing in the background made breakfast enjoyable. Our server Eliza was in point. She took care of us constantly. Please come to check it out.

This place is great for accommodating large groups. Went to a dinner here with at least 30 people, and the service was great. They have a large variety of food and drink options. I had the Charlie wet burrito and it was good. My boyfriend had the chimichanga and I think that would be the better option between the two, but you'll have to make your own Vegas dinner selection. We sat in a pseudo outside patio area in the back, that had a cool atmosphere, would recommend.

Overall, it was a really cute and relaxed restaurant plus a great way to start our day. They serve breakfast from 8:00am - 12:00pm with drink specials and a breakfast menu! If you're looking for a calm and tummy filling place to start your day this is it! We made it right before noon and were glad we had because the chilaquiles were amazing! Would recommend! Their drink specials are hard to pass up so it was a must! The service was really good and we were frequently checked on, thank you Juan! We were staying at the Flamingo and not only was it in a convenient location but also super good! We'd return to try other breakfast options.

Let me start this review with a disclaimer: I'm from Texas. I'm a harsh critic when it comes to Mexican food/Tex Mex. I've been told to never eat at Mexican restaurants outside of the south. That being said I'll say Carlos n Charlie's is very average in my opinion. I desperately wanted a crunchy taco and this was the closest place that looked good. The restaurant is decorated really fun both inside and out. I appreciate how much effort they put into the outside still being comfortable during the sweltering Nevada summers. There was lots of shade and misters everywhere so we never felt too sweaty. Our waitress also kept our water glasses full which was very appreciated. Everyone had nachos as we were walking to our seats, so I decided that's what I would order too. They looked incredible. They were turning heads. They looked much better than they tasted. They weren't bad, they just weren't great either. I know nachos are simple and how special can they be? They just weren't very flavorful. I did order a side of rice just to have a lil something extra and it was good. I think this is more of a place to enjoy some drinks, especially if you're coming from the Flamingo pool. We were on the last day of our trip and over consuming alcohol by that point so sadly we didn't partake in the happy hour. Don't let my review sway you. I'd say food, meh. Drinks are probably a lot better and I've walked by at night before and the place is buzzing. So maybe if you're intrigued, stop by and have a few drinks first and then decide if you want to try the food.

I really don't know where to start! We walked in the door and were told to hold on and proceeded to wait for a few minutes. Then we were seated at our table and left to sit there again without service for quite a several minutes. We finally received our waters and someone eventually came by to take our order. When we got the food, it was extremely underwhelming. The cheese quesadilla was absolutely so greasy on the inside that it was sent back to the kitchen. The portobello mushroom tacos tasted absolutely flavorless except for garlic and were not impressive. The small little cups of beans and rice also lacked flavor and were extremely dry and everything just tasted of garlic. Definitely do not recommend this place. I would go somewhere else. This is poor quality, Mexican food. They also had a live DJ, which was a little bit loud but music was good, the 1 star for the music. This place was dead and had five other tables filled the whole time we were there. We will not be back.

Bro this place sucks. Expensive and flavorless. Service was alright and the ambiance is too. Would not come here again. Save your money and go off the strip to Juan's Flaming fajitas for real good Mexican food and affordable.

came during happy hour and got their 2 for 1 beer. not a huge selection, i believe there was only 3. the beers came out not cold, i would say lukewarm. also, there is no complementary chips and salsa. the service was okay. staff seem friendly but that is it. the food is not authentic and closer to american style. the wet burrito lacked a lot of flavor and the overall taste was very odd. my friend ordered a side of guacamole for $2+ and it looked and tasted like it came from a package. there was more tomato n onions than avocado. the beef bowl was very basic and just not worth the price. i was underwhelmed and under satisfied.

Gotta check out the mimosa special, chill atmosphere on patio. Good bartending and service

This is a fun restaurant! This was in our hotel The Flamingo. The food is your Mexican flare, and the bartender and servers make it fun! If you're into shots or having a birthday the servers break out the tequila and everyone joins in the fun with a shot down the throat!! The look of the restaurant is super cute, inside and out very unique with different designs and props inside the restaurant! The bartender is a hoot!! Good fun! The service is spot on, the prices are reasonable, there breakfast is incredible! Give it a try!

My family stopped at Carlos 'n Charlie's after the pool to grab some lunch. We had an amazing server who was SO nice and accommodated us very well. She ensured we had enough umbrellas to hide from the heat and took our orders very quickly. The food was good but I've had better. The restaurant itself is really cute with bright colors. You can't miss it if you walk by it outside. If you are staying at the Flamingo, then this is a really convenient location to have breakfast or lunch. Overall, good experience and I'm glad we tried it.

So, the bartender has been extraordinarily generous with his pours, so I'm writing this under the influence. No, seriously, we truly enjoyed hanging out here on a Monday morning. We got here around 1130 am and took advantage of the early prices for margaritas. The bartender Dave was really cool, super funny, and poured a great margarita. It's an outdoor bar with all the trappings of a Vegas pool bar. We ordered the chips and salsa to cushion the amount of alcohol we were consuming. We got a huge bag of chips and a vat of salsa for 8.99. For wandering around without an agenda or destination in a Monday morning, I'm glad we found this place. Highly recommend for strong drinks and good snacks. The atmosphere is pretty fun, to boot.

Service/decor: not the cleanest or prettiest establishment. The service was also on the slower side and didn't seem to fully understand allergies despite having many gluten free options. Good place for people watching as we saw a lot of funny things and also things we didn't care to see in front of our table on the dance floor. Food: chips and salsa were standard and nothing special. Tacos were good enough but nothing special.

Located in the casino, within the Flamingo Hotel, this restaurant offers delightful food for a casual atmosphere! Shoutout to our server, AJ, for the best customer service experience ever! A little dingy, the tables in some sections weren't the cleanest, so we moved to another table in the restaurant. I ordered Charlie's bowl, and it was surprisingly good. Great combination of flavors, that will satisfy your cravings. Portions are a little on the small side, but I'm fine with that. Prices are fair, in my opinion. I was happy!

GETTING HERE: Located in the Flamingo Hotel Las Vegas. REVIEW: We had such high hopes for Carlos n' Charlie's! Overall, this wasn't a pleasant experience, sadly, but will round up to 3 stars as I am hoping our visit was a one-off and not the norm here. Plus, who can be bummed about anything in Vegas, right? :) We were greeted promptly by a very nice hostess. What struck me most about her was her question to us immediately, "Are you looking to sit outside on the patio?" I LOL'd. It was like 113 when we got there. Food: No table chips and salsa. Maybe that's a new thing? Or a Vegas thing? Not sure. We ordered the nachos and a coke to share. The nachos were OK and absolutely GIGANTIC, see my picture. And, they don't have lids - odd - if you want to take your drink to stay hydrated outside. Service: Not good, at all. We were seated off to the left, in front of the extra condiments, napkins, computer, etc. That wasn't a flag for me at first. What WAS the red flag is about 1/2 way into our meal, our server and his co-worker buddy were BS'ing (loudly) RIGHT BEHIND ME. I got up and moved to a different chair at our table, and they MOVED and started up again. For the 2nd time I moved back to my original chair to eat in peace, then they broke apart and went on their way. It wasn't cool. Not a fan. I had asked our server upon ordering if the pico had jalapenos in it. He swore up and down the flagpole that it didn't; that there were no jalapenos in the entire restaurant; and that the restaurant only had serrano peppers. He was quite argumentative with this whole line of questioning I had about jalapenos. Not cool. Also, not a fan. Besides the coke being tasty, it was cute to see the birds flying in and out of the restaurant. The Flamingo habitat is right next door and these birds were hungry and smart. In all honesty, I wouldn't recommend. Again, hoping for a one-off but I'll pass next time.

I love Mexican food, and wherever I travel, I always like to explore and try different Mexican restaurants. Last week, I decided to have Mexican food, but the service that day was terrible. It was Super Bowl night, and I ordered chicken enchiladas. At first, they brought me a plate, but then they took it back, saying it wasn't mine. After about five minutes, they gave me another plate and told me that was my order. I told them this was not the way to treat customers. On top of that, they never even asked if I needed anything, like water. I was so upset that I just asked them to charge it to my room and left. Later, I spoke to the manager, Luis, and explained everything that had happened. He told me he would check the cameras and get back to me. When he did, he was incredibly nice and respectful. I loved the way he talked to me--he was so kind, always smiling, and truly took care of me. This time, the service was excellent, and the food was hot and delicious. The last time, the food was cold, and I didn't enjoy it because of how late it arrived. But Luis completely changed my experience. He personally asked what I needed, and the food was served hot and with care. I absolutely loved the chicken fajita platter, the nachos, and the guacamole--it was made with love. Honestly, I would have given this place a -5 star rating, but only because of the Manager Luis, I'm giving it 4 stars. The food was amazing, served hot, and with love. Whenever you visit, make sure to check in with Luis--he is the best of the best!

This place was amazing. We sat out side at the bar, it had sun, it had shade and it had fun! The Bartender Brendan was the best server we have had in Vegas since arriving on Sunday!! We had the Mexican Omelet and Breakfast Burrito. They both were filled with flavor and we would for shlure go back and get it again!

I came here twice - once for dinner and once for breakfast - while I was staying at the Flamingo casino for an event. Dinner (Friday 06/07/2024): We had reservations for 7:30pm. We were seated promptly. The place was not packed. No free chips and salsa. I ordered the steak fajitas - steak was not that tender, portion is adequate. My boyfriend ordered the chorizo tacos and he said they were good. Breakfast (Sunday 06/11/2024) I ordered waffles - they were okay, nothing extraordinary. Place was not busy at 9am. Price is reasonable for a restaurant on the Strip. Ambiance is casual; could get loud if packed. Service was okay - no issue nor was it outstanding.

We stayed at the Flamingo and when I say this restaurant was AMAZING! The customer service was TOP TIER! Sam is an amazing waitress. I ordered the waffles and bacon. The waffles were fluffy and not overly sweet. the bacon was just right. Let's get into the drinks!!! The $6 maragarita were something that gets your there! If you have the time, stop by I PROMISE you'll enjoy it!

Walking the strip, a friend I met in Vegas said let's go in and see the Flamingos. We decided to have lunch here, since the outside patio was shaded and the TVs were on the MLB playoffs. The place was not crowded yet so we were sat right away. Since this bar focuses on drinking, I was surprised to see so many children in the bar area. The beer is cold and the food is quick Tex-Mex. We were entertained by a Balloon Hat Maker who took the time to create masterpieces for the 4 of us in the table. Good time.

Just FYI the nachos are HUGE and are to share, Still Delicious though! The service was pretty good. The vibe was nice- you can look out the window and see a nice fountain! would come again.

The best thing was the chips/queso sauce and the service!! The pork tacos needed a tad more moisture and flavor. The birria was just ok. The place was pretty nice to chill in but the customers made it a vibe. Please go and enjoy!!

We stayed at The Flamingo and absolutely missed this place when we stayed last year. We went here almost daily during our 5 day stay. Loved the breakfast, to go drinks and the bar nightly with a DJ! By the second night the staff welcomed us back Delicious breakfast with no wait for two and our server was on top of all her tables, quick to order and refill your drinks. Stop in and give this a try.

The location is key. We had a relaxing breakfast outside on the patio looking at the Flamingo gardens. The food was just ok... it's what you would expect from a chain restaurant Mexican breakfast. Lots of red and green sauces, gloppy cheese and beans and an occasional tortilla thrown in. It's not life-changing. But it was quick, inexpensive and served it's purpose. The outside seating in the morning was really nice. I would imagine in the afternoon and evenings this can turn into a real scene, so plan accordingly.

Rotating drink specials, margarita boats, Misters on power ranger mode. What is not to like? Brandon and Rob were great, but some people from the day club made me uneasy. The vibe was great till the pool closed

Ran in for a quick breakfast as I knew we will have a long day today and was not sure if I would be able to eat lunch. Quality/Quantity - Waffle - Good, I would have preferred it more crispy. 1 side egg - Wanted some protein to start my day. Smaller than I would have preferred, but not an issue, as I normally just drink coffee for breakfast. Oatmeal - Good and healthy. And of course coffee - Small mugs, had to get a refill. Atmosphere - Club scene/atmosphere. Reminds me of my twenties parting in Mexico... Gave my buddy and I some refreshing reminiscing from our previous lives. Copy and pasted from their website: "It's always spring break at Carlos 'n Charlie's, the Mexican bar and restaurant that transforms from a family friendly dining spot to a crazy dance party at night." Yeah, like I said, brought back memories... Service - Denise was so professional and accommodating! Got us out of here within the 30 minutes I needed to attend my next event. Price - $34 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1962 and at this location since 2012. Congrats also with all your successes with your 16 brands.

I can't believe I have never written a review of this place. It is one of our go to stops for some frozen drinks, table side guacamole and great service. We have never had bad service no matter where we have sat. This time we sat on the patio and Danielle was our server. She was awesome! Great with suggestions and fun to chat with. She has a great personality. We order the table side guacamole which is always a fun experience. They roll out the cart with all the fixins and mix everything to your liking. So delicious. The drinks are always fun and this place has such a great vibe. We continue to come back time and time again and never disappointed.

Our waiter Matt and server with the glasses was so sweet and kind i would definitely come again! 10/10 recommend!

The service was decent. The food not so much. The potatoes were well done,hard and cold. I would've sent them back but the girls were so busy. I couldn't flag one down, and wanted to eat my burrito before it got cold. Supposed to have Asada chicken and chorizo. Never did find the chorizo. I would never order it again or recommend it for breakfast. The bar was closed so you couldn't even order their specials- Bloody Mary or mimosa-

Nice service, overpriced food, ambience was nice. It was not too loud, but it's Vegas so it's expect to get a lot of time we took some pictures. They were $10 each without the frame. The girl was really nice. Our server too the Argentinian guy. He was very nice to us.

Had the best experience in Vegas at Carlos 'n Charlie's (ended up going back 2 times we were so happy with the restaurant) And personable service. I took my 25 year old daughter for a girls trip graduation gift. Her one request was that we try this restaurant. Juan, our server was extremely helpful and attentive. Went out of his way to make sure our dining experience was wonderful. Offered to take our picture for us. Great food, prompt service, excellent suggestions on things to do and see. Plus he looks a little like Pedro Pasquale - which was a nice bonus! Awesome sense of humor! Seriously - with the amount of dining options in Vegas this is a must! Management came to check 2 times and treated us like valued customers. Can assure you this did not happen at any other restaurants! Try the white queso and chips ~ and ask for Juan for a fun filled, high quality meal!

Came here one late night for a snack. The place was loud and dark. They play loud music, and it becomes a dancing place/club to Mexican/disco style music. We ordered the chicken taquitos with guacamole. They were not very hot, and small in size. The guacamole was flavorful with a little kick. The salsas are tasty as well. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. Hope to come another time when it's not too loud and busy and try other things on the menu.

Wandered in here on a Thursday afternoon & we were delighted to find they have a happy hour! Service was friendly & patient as we asked about what was available for happy hour pricing. And efficient once we decided what we wanted, and again when we were ready to cash out. Outdoor seating was plentiful, though we sat at the bar. My margarita with vodka was delish and only $6!

We love staying at the Flamingo so always try and have breakfast at Carlos and Charlie's. The chilaquiles is delicious. Staff could be a little more attentive. Understanding it's Vegas but we have gone when they haven't been bust and had to flag the waiter down for waters and to even get our check.

Customer Service was terrible and so was the food. I definitely would not go back nor recommend it.

Tammy and I live in Henderson and are regulars at Carlos 'n Charlies. We were there on Sunday, 09/02/25 and as always, the service, the drinks and the food were excellent. We were lucky to see our favorite bartender, Brendon, who always provides excellent personal service, prepares tasty drinks and makes us feel welcome and special. Sadly we learned that Carlos 'n Charlies will be permanently closing later this month on 11/16/25. We are very disappointed and will have to find another Mexican Grille/ Restaurant.

Arrived and Carlos and Charlie's for a light dinner before a show. Our waitress was great, she was polite and got us our drinks quickly. We decided on a salad and the taquitos. Well, you can't really go wrong when ordering a salad. All the veggies were fresh but then the taquitos came out and they are store bought microwaveable taquitos that you buy by the box. They try to dress it up with some good tasting guacamole but c'mon how hard is it to make fresh taquitos. That was totally disappointing, and at $14 not worth it. It's overpriced since it's within the Flamingo casino. Gave it the 2 stars for the waitstaff effort but it's just not there for the food.

Came here tonight with some friends staying at the flamingo to eat. The carne asada tacos were really good, mojito wasnt very good and the service was really bad. Finished my mojito and water and didn't see the server to get a refill for at least 15 minutes

We went in looking for happy hour and were informed their only happy hour offerings were the 2 for 1 on select drinks margaritas and daiquiris. No happy hour pricing on any food items. Disappointing , but perhaps that is the Vegas strip, can't be sure as we are from out of town. We decided to stay and split an order of carne asada nachos, it was huge and fed the three of us like a meal for $30. They offered the sour cream, salsa and jalapeños on the side, which was appreciated, however the small amounts (barely more than a tablespoon of each), did not match the heaping amount of nachos. There was adequate cheese, nacho cheese and steak. The service was friendly enough for Vegas.

Sam was my lovely waitress and she was awesome! I had steak and eggs, cooked to perfection. The outdoor ambiance was soothing on a good Vegas morning. I definitely will return.

Ease of access was great as I was staying at the Flamingo. The music was awful. 1990s Miami vibe. The nachos were massive. Embarrassingly massive. And dry. It had so much cheese and few queso and few beans and no layers a tiny bit of pico on the side. I was unhappy with the presentation, not layered, heaps of cheese and in the center dry toppingless chips. More untasty chips in the center than anything. The meal was decent. I won't go back they next time I visit. It was just 'meh' for Vegas. Try elsewhere. You'll be glad you did.
