Cool, old-time donut shop in downtown Pomona. Jelly donuts are my favorite and our just a slight bit smaller than other shops. Hence a 4 rating, but the flavor is great, and they are fresh. I ordered a drip coffee with some milk in it and they put a bit too much milk for my taste, let the underlying coffee was good donut shop quality. The people are very friendly and helpful.In providing service to their customers. Highly recommend

I will drive about an hour round trip just to get to Carl’s Do-Nut shop. These are honestly the best tasting donuts I’ve ever had and so fluffy on the inside. The service lady is always nice and always smiling. This is definitely a must try place if you’re in the area.

They they steal money from your debit/credit card i go there every morning and only pay $2.90 for small coffee and 7 donut holes but this morning I asked for my receipt today and they charged me $5.55 I've noticed extra money missing from my card so they been charging me an extra 3.35 when I confronted the lady she got an attitude and I told her I come here every morning to get my coffee and doughnut holes for my daughter she lied to my face and when I asked for the receipt and asked her why hqve you been charging me ' $5.55 she lied and said no its $2.90

Great and friendly service, sign is falling from recent rains. Be safe when approaching. Ham and Cheese great. And all the selections of donuts. And specialty samiches.

The Asian lady at the window has some issues every time I call to ask if the croissant is fresh. She will give me an attitude or wrong information she will say it’s just out the oven and when I get it it’s all wrinkled and cold I stopped going because she said I was bugging her and she is to busy for me I’m laughing inside right now because all I ask for is a hot croissant 🥐 fresh out the over hot melted cheese and crispy on the outside I haven’t called in like two months to let her cool down but today I made the mistake of calling her she had the same attitude now I found a new croissant spot same ingredients better service Queens donuts 🍩

I love the number three sandwiches they have there i wish they would have put the menu in the window for the the list of breakfast sandwiches they have because I can't see them because of my disability accessibility is everything

Fresh and delicious donuts made with love. I've had plenty of donuts around but carls uses quality ingredients you can taste in the dough. Friendly service with a smile every morning guranteed.

This is my go to donut shop. I love that it has a drive through. It looks clean. The quality is always very fresh and delicious. Wide variety of donuts, fresh hot coffee. Service is quick and kind. The donuts are a little overpriced, but definitely a rewarding treat.

Decided to give this place a try since I passed by every day on my way to work. I am hoping that it has ham and cheese croissants here. Most places do so I'm taking a chance by waiting in this line to get one. The set up is a little odd since the drive-through is right near the street so it can get backed up very quickly. The area also looks a little sketchy but again, I went through the drive-through so I didn't have to get off. I tried to call multiple times, but it went straight to voicemail, saying they do not take messages. As I'm waiting in the drive-through line, I noticed that they have croissants, lended drinks, donuts, and smoothies. Order a ham and cheese croissant with jalapeños warmed up. Because they're doing construction on the gas station next-door you have to make a U-turn in their parking lot to exit. It can get a little hectic if people don't keep the other lane open. Overall, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, but I'm sure the wait can get long. If people are sitting there, and choosing their donuts, my croissant was warm, flaky, and very delicious!

Have been coming to Carl's for years for good donuts, but have noticed the prices are extremely high for what you get picked up two small cinnamon rolls for five dollars. Way overpriced for a very small donut

Hole in the wall place that has excellent window and drive through service with delicious items. The coffee is always fresh. Please don't let the outside deceive you. If you like donuts, this is a must try!!!

Donuts were fresh and soft. Not sure why word hasn't gotten out yet. The workers were nice, service was fast (can be slow if other customers are trying to oick out what they want), and there's a drive thru.

This place was awesome! I spent 3.50 and was filled up, one jelly filled and another massive donut. Was getting gas next door but deals like this barely exist anymore. A full breakfast while rushing to work in the morning nothing gets better than that!

I've been going to this doughnut shop for YEARS! They remember all of their regulars. It's so popular that cars are out of the driveway into the street waiting to get to their drive-thru. I'm a big fan of their croissants. They have various choices: -cheese (sweet) -strawberry cheese (sweet) -ham and cheese (not sweet) -ham, cheese and jalapeno (not sweet) -egg and bacon -plain I've tried all except plain and egg and bacon. I love how fluffy and flavorful all their croissants are, especially when warmed up. They have a good amount of doughnuts to choose from. My kids like to get the dozen holes for $1. Not bad. I like to get the Bavarian filled doughnuts or chocolate/maple bars. They have a good amount of drinks to choose from. From coffee to cappuccino to orange juice. Even fountain soda drinks which are MORE bubbly than Chevron next door. I always get their French Vanilla Cappuccino, which I coined "Prosperity" coffee between me and my brother (we believe in the law of attraction :D). No bathrooms available here, you'll have to go to Chevron instead. They have indoor seating, you could also order from there too. No TV. But it's nice when you want to read a book or chat with friends. It could use some updating, but it's clean so I can't complain too much about it. Parking is on the street and very limited in the back which is shared with Chevron. You have to be careful when leaving the parking area because you could potentially running into someone in drive-thru.

Great mom & pop donut shop. They also have hot dog croissants and Thai iced tea. Service was fast, the even have a drive thru!

I love this place!! My favorite donuts ever. Quality is consistent no matter when I come coffee donuts and sandwich's are great. Can't forget about the service, the owners of this store are super sweet, they remember you and provide such great service. Comment on the other review, they're not swindlers, just sounds like a misunderstanding is all. These people would never try and take your money.

This place makes some of the best glazed donuts I have ever had. They taste incredibly fresh every morning and have great prices. Location is kinda rough at 6 in the morning but they have a drive through window too. By far my favorite donut shop around the Pomona area.

Been going here since I was a child and they have never lost there touch such humble people with such delicious ham & cheese croissants I relocated to Montclair but still drive all the way to Pomona for their food!

Regular since the '70's,used to come here with my dad. Now I usually come here with son. They always have my X- Large coffee poured when they see us coming, which is great, and they ask the kid if he wants his usual, I try and get him something different each time, so he can try them all, my fave is the bavarian cream.

COUNT YOUR CHANGE, ONE OF THEM SWINDLES. I had to call POLICE to get my correct change. ~ Today I woke up before my afternoon study session and decided to get donuts, as I had just found this place a few weeks ago and found their donuts to be quite tasty. I went to the nearby gas station to get a $20 out of the ATM, took my receipt, and proceeded to purchase 3 custard-filled maple bars. Upon giving me my donuts, the old thin asian woman with the black hair counted the change rather quickly, handed it to me, and slammed the window shut. I'm paranoid, so I counted the change and found it to be $10 less than what it should have been, since I paid with a $20 bill and only received $6.70 in change. I told her, she pointed to a $10 bill that she had laid on the counter in front of the register, and claimed that I gave her that ten. I had only came to the store with my debit card and the $20 I had just withdrew. Clearly, she baited and switched my change ($16.70, 1 ten and 6 ones) with the $20 I gave her, so she could claim that I gave her a ten. Her poor english seemed very convenient, so I called the local police. The POLICE came, and I showed them my receipt from the ATM as evidence that I only had a $20. The woman avoided speaking with them and instead had her manager speak for her. The police realized what was going on and told them to pay me back correct change or be faced with charges. All things considered, the manager is too trusting of his employee. Also, someone her age should know better than to steal.
