This was a fun brewery to visit in Carlsbad. I came here with a group of adults, and everyone seemed to enjoy the food and beer. The grilled cheese and tomato soup is so delicious and worth a try. Others in the group ordered pizza and said it was quite tasty as well. Our server Michelle was awesome and had a fun personality. All in all, it’s a great place to check out. Also, the place is very dog friendly which I thought was cool.

In town for work. A colleague took me here. What a cool place. Great beers- down by the sea IPA. Triple meat burger on homemade bun. Amazing. We sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender. I’ll be back for sure!

Google
A hidden gem. This place has a great atmosphere with lovely views of the palomar airport. I only rated it 4 stars because we really didn’t have enough food to properly rate the restaurant. I had the wings medium heat, they were excellent. My husband had onion rings and they were excellent as well. There are lots of beer options here, the service was great!

Google
I like this place, but the prices for the quality don't match up. For this reason alone, we don't frequent Carlsbad Brewing Company. We live nearby, but each time we come (maybe once every 6 months), we remember why it's not a go-to for us and our friends.

Google
So many great Belgium beers in this amazing location with a great view. Lots of great food options but as a sour and Belgium beers fan the drafts and bottles here can't be beat. Lots of classic pub food but overall a nicely curated menu with friendly staff and breezy location with a nice view

Google
Was amazing! I loved everything about the Brewing Company! Large parking area. We were seated right away. The food was over the top! Our server was very attentive and sweet. Dogs are welcomed inside, which can be a source of entertainment. 😉 Weather premitting, there is a great area for outdoor seating.

Would love to say the food was great… But it wasn’t! So many reasons to be better… and yet just a complacent attitude and mediocre product. Wilted salad, greasy fries and expensive for the venue. Carlsbad deserves better … Too bad! Save your money! 🙁

First time here. We live in Oceanside and we were meeting a friend in Bressi and this seemed like a great option based on the reviews and photos. Everything on the menu sounded so good. Here's what we ordered: * Ribeye Burger ($20) Description shows "habanero jack" but there was nothing spicy about this at all. It has steak sauce on it. The meat tasted great. Bottom bun was a bit soggy and top bun was thin & crispy. Kinda weird. Still tasty. Also ordered Parmesan & Garlic fries (+ $2) - but I would pass on ordered these again. Just not a fan... * Irish Fish & Chips ($18) One piece of fish. It's ginormous. Fries are big steak fries. Very tasty and I wish I ordered this. * Southern Fried Chicken Sammich ( $16.96) Our friend ordered it without the sauce which was a terrible idea. It really needed a sauce! Can't review it much because of that, but it sure was crispy. * Mac Daddy Mac & Cheese ($14 + $6 for Chicken) This was just okay. I LOVE mac n' cheese in general (think Velveeta) but this was not it. There was barely any chicken in it. Noodles were hot like the sun and there just wasn't much "cheesiness" about it. Kinda disappointing. We had several beers and ciders, all good but we noticed none of our glasses were filled to the top. Kinda feels like we got gypped a bit. Overall, we really liked this place. Food was good minus a few tiny gripes. We would definitely like to come back and try more stuff.

Yelp
Hidden in an industrial park, the Carlsbad Brewing Company was a great find for us. I love how this place is decorated. You can spend a bit of time drinking beer and enjoying all the cool motorcycle memorabilia. With over 35 different beers on tab, and a tasty food menu, CBC is a nice hang on a weekend afternoon. The menu is quite varied, and includes Burgers, pizzas, tacos, mac n cheese, sandwiches, salads, and more. We had the Mango Fish Tacos - Beer battered (Swai) fish with shredded cabbage, mango, tomato and spicy sriracha aioli. This dish was excellent and really hit the spot. Also excellent are the Chicken Wings. The meat is tender and both the sweet Thai chili and the sriracha bbq sauces are delicious. Lots of good stuff to try, lots of good reasons to go back. CBC is a great spot for just about everyone. If you are in the area, you must give it a visit.

Yelp
met another couple at the CARLSBAD BREWING COMPANY for beer and dinner. wouldn't characterize their pub grub as a revelation but it was certainly a pleasant surprise. the wife unit ordered a GETTIN' FIGGY WITH IT (12" personal pizza with black figs, goat cheese, arugula, marinara, mozzarella, and balsamic reduction). she enjoyed it but commented the figs and marinara seemed like an odd pairing. at home we make a fig jam, pear, prosciutto, and dressed arugula pizza with a crème fraîche base, and that's the default setting she measures other fig pizzas by. I had the BRESSI BOOTLEGGER ( 1/2 lb Angus burger, whiskey BBQ sauce, crispy onion straws, bacon, and pepper jack cheese). burger arrived as ordered (medium rare) and the sandwich was pretty darn amazing. substituted ONION RINGS for the fries and they were just okay. asked for a side of ranch dressing when we ordered, reminded the server when she brought plates that still hadn't arrived when we got the check. she was nice but a little ditzy. still, a great experience with good friends.

Yelp
Fun place located in a office type building conveniently located across the street from where we were staying. They seated us right away and had a nice selection of beers. Our food was well prepared and our server was attentive and friendly despite the place being busy and understaffed. For a brewery/eatery it was one of the better ones we've visited. Also liked the decor with the classic motorcycles.

Yelp
Dropped by for a quick lunch as we needed to pick up some beers for family. The food and drink menu is insane -- we loved our meal choices for lunch. I had a cheeseburger with caramelized onions and perfectly seasoned sweet potato fries. My husband had an enormous grilled cheese that actually had cheese charred on the outside of the sandwich. The tomato soup was also so fresh. We were amazed by the beer selection - I had a few tasters from what was on tap and my husband had a delicious Riesling. We want to come back and try more of their international beer collection. Such a fun spot to bring friends or family for an afternoon hang out session or to watch a game.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon in December. It looks smaller than expected from the outside. But it's pretty spacious inside. Family and dog friendly. Extensive beer list to choose from; local and world wide. Service was friendly and prompt. They have some cool pint glasses. All beers on tap had a clean finish. Here are the beers on tap that we tried: "Paloma by Air" pale ale light and dry "Hopping with Homies" light less floral "Iconic" light and floral "Famosa Raceway" light fruity notes but barely "It does not exits" hazy IPA We had fries too. They were good! All the food around us looked very tasty. Worth stopping by. Just drop off the kids next door.

Yelp
we had the "Gettin' figgy with it" pizza and OH. MY. GOD. The dough is fermented for 48 hours and the crust is to die for! It wasn't terribly busy, which was lovely - visit this place between 3-5 if you can and enjoy the chill vibes and great beer, wine and food!

Yelp
"I only visit breweries for the great food." No One While focusing on the food at a brewery kinda feels like missing the point, there are locations where the quality of the food actually rivals that of the beer. Carlsbad Brewing Company offers an extensive selection of cold ones , but it is the quality and diversity of their food options that I've found most impressive over the years. Searching for standard brewery fare such as corn dogs, tater tots, and nachos? You won't find those uninspiring options here cuz their food is really bussin'! Go ahead and tell me that you expect a brewery menu to feature things like "Kobe Wagyu Sliders", an "Ahi & Avocado Tower", a "Gettin Figgy With It" pizza, or "Linguine & Clams." No, you did not, so fess up already! (Ok, well neither did I.) Leashed dogs are welcomed here, if you sit outside you'll have some great views of the planes landing and taking off at Palomar Airport, and the memorabilia from the former Carlsbad Raceway is really cool! And that's...Henry's Take. #greatbreweryfood #carlsbadbrewingcompany Modeling credit: @danavoros

Yelp
CBC as many locals like to call it has been known as a sports hangout location. Many televisions on the walls. The staff is very friendly and more than happy to come around to serve you another cold one. The burgers and salads are great. Shoe string fries are the best. Catch you over at CBC and you'll have a great time! Dog friendly all day long. The view out on the patio over looks the Carlsbad airport runaway and views of the sunset.

Yelp
My partner and I took my dad to Carlsbad Brewing Company for Father's Day, and it did not disappoint! What a treat finding Pliny the Elder in North County! My partner got the strawberry blonde, brewed with local strawberries; it was super light and flavorful. Easy summer drinkin'! We started our meal with the sweet and spicy wings, which were absolutely delicious. I had a burger with goat cheese, which had an over-toasted bun and too much greens, making it difficult to eat without falling apart, but it was still tasty. My boyfriend's salmon salad and steak were 10/10! Dad loved his chicken sandwich as well. My dad's friend got the mango tacos, which were spicier than anticipated. Pretty quick service, especially considering the holiday. Super rad interior with the retro motorcycles, too! Overall excellent experience. :)

Yelp
Came for a quick bite for dinner with hubby and son. We haven't been here in a few years so it was fun to check it out again. Place is spacious with a few tv monitors around. We were seated quickly despite having a small crowd watching the Padres game. Decent menu. Our drinks and food came quickly once we ordered. The food was good and hit the spot. Wanted something light so I opted for mussels while hubby got an enchilada and son ordered pizza. We left happy.

Malia O.

Yelp
Best veggie burger I've had in my entire life. Only suggestion is to turn the lights down a little. So bright.

Yelp
There are so many fantastic breweries in San Diego, but this might be my favorite. The beer list is a binder filled with delicious suds. The selection rotates so always something new to try. They typically have something from Russian River on tap and are known to get Pliney the Younger! The staff is SUPER nice and always have great recommendations. I love sipping a beer outside with my wife and pup while watching the planes fly into the local airport. You can't go wrong with the blackened flat iron steak. I love the motorcycle theme too.

Yelp
A really nice, spacious, casual brewery. I had no idea how big it was until we walked in. Lots of seating available with full service. The menu is pretty brewery basic (pizza etc.) and a little pricey, but the food was good nonetheless. My partner enjoyed the beer and our server was very sweet.

Yelp
Great food, great service!!!! We will be back!! Found new favorite beer Beach Bum Blonde

Yelp
This place was very good! We randomly found on Yelp and were happy we came. I ordered the chicke caprese sandwhich which was delicious and a very big portion. We also shared the suppressata hot honey and chili oil pizza that we all agreed was very good. Would definitely recommend

Josh O.

Yelp
This place was calm and quick. Knowledgeable on the drinks and was quick on the refills. The food was sooo good!!

Yelp
I Iove love love CBC. They are close by my office so I visit often. I have yet to have one thing here that was not amazing. Their grilled cheese and tomato soup combo is AMAZING! And I don't even like tomatoes! And their fries for daddy, don't even get me started! Soooo good. You can't go wrong by going to CBC. They have a great menu for beer and food. I have even taken my kids here and their Mac n cheese is so delicious my kids gobble it up!
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
Awesome Belgian beers and surprisingly delicious food and big portions. Friendly staff

Yelp
Overall it was pretty good. I ordered the ribeye burger and fries, which was very delicious. However, the burger came with a massive amount of arugula, which I took a bulk of it off b/c it was just too much. The burger patty was also a bit smaller than the bun and needed a little more seasoning. The BBQ sauce that's part of this burger was very much lacking, unfortunately. I think this would have easily been a five star review if not for those few things. The beer selection though is amazing, and I appreciated the bartender's knowledge of the beers to help me make the best selections. Lastly, some of the items on the menu pictures are no longer on the menu (like the trio burger, which I was really excited to try). I definitely recommend this place and would return without hesitation! Side note: map directions don't get you to exactly where the brewery is located. It is located on the opposite corner from Sky Zone, just keep going west in the parking lot.

Yelp
This should be a locals only spot. But since they're so damn friendly, I guess I have no choice, but to be as welcoming as they are. They have beer, they have food, They have a secret "Steel" weapon! Awesome selection of their own in-house and local favorites on tap. Amazing food, restaurant quality . I'm literally here every day, so trust me. Also, pretty decent chance they're gonna have Pliny on tap, enough said. See you at the spot gang!

Yelp
Carlsbad brewing company was pretty good but could be better. The ambience is loud and boisterous with lots of "stuff" everywhere. I loved the vintage motorcycles but didn't understand how they fit in. There's a merch section and high tops and tables. It's a big place which makes it a little impersonal. The menu is massive. Lots of drinks besides beers. It's pretty commercial. I was hoping for a more down to earth experience. The beers were pretty good. I had a couple of IPAs and appreciated the hops selections but didn't love them. No distinction between west and east coast IPAs and no classic west coast IPA from what I could find. The service was just okay. Maybe they were understaffed but it was sporadic at best. We just ordered a pizza and it was very unevenly cut so was hard to share with more than 2 people. I would go again for the convenience factor but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.
google avatar

Jay T.

Yelp
I ordered their southern chicken sandwich... holy cow it was amazing! I like spicy and good taste, this sandwich did not disappoint! My friend had their wagyu burger and he enjoyed that as well. Their hazy ipa was very tasty, much better than the larger brewery in Escondido
google avatar

Patti M.

Yelp
The company Xmas party was held here last Friday and it was super fun place with an awesome staff! Great food and many, many brews available. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Madison N.

Yelp
Super expansive beer list and dog friendly spot. The food is great too! We got a pizza and wings. Even though the menu says the pizzas are personal size they were pretty big and could feed 2! While we were originally given the wrong pizza the server was super nice and gave us the one we ordered, letting us take the other one to go. It seemed to be understaffed but she was doing a great job. There is a small outdoor area as well with one table and a few bar stools.
google avatar

Candice M.

Yelp
Amazing food! My bf and I couldn't decide where to go for lunch today. Then we remembered the delicious macaroni and cheese pizza that Carlsbad brewing makes. It's not on the normal menu but if you ask they will make it. Seems like a weird combination but it is the best! Noodles cooked perfectly, cheese sauce is amazing and it has a siracha drizzle on top! Yummy! And the best beer list in town!

Yelp
Been here a few times with coworkers now and the spot is a local favorite for beers after work for sure. Love their beer offerings and having their own food menu really tops it off. The burrata salad was delicious. It's simple, yet pretty fancy for a local brewery. Fish and chips are always a given for perfect pub food. Love that they do a whole filet instead of just small chunks. Fries and tartar sauce also taste delicious. Now the honey infused jalapeno flavored wings, OMG, could not stop licking fingers. The wings are smothered in the sauce that's just sweet with a little kick, and then you get to the jalapeno pieces... We could not stop eating the jalapenos. It was just very good. The servers around the floor are pretty good about making sure you're taken care of. I sat at the bar this time and it took quite a while before anyone noticed us to even ask us if we wanted a drink or to order anytjjng for that matter. Not the best but it won't kill me either. It's a big open room, and sound can travel, so be prepared to sometimes talk a little louder than normal. A local spot nonetheless and will definitely be going back for more after work shenanigans.

Yelp
Great food, huge selection of drinks, and fun decor with dirt bikes and motorcycles everywhere. Always friendly service and a great place to come catch a padres game at the bar and sample new beers and ciders! The grilled cheese and tomato soup is huge and always so good. Tried the cheeseburger today and it was yummy but huge!

Nadine S.

Yelp
my first time here and it was a good experience. My favorite beer was the helles and I ordered fish and chips which I very rarely do. I'm so glad I did! OMG, the best I've ever had in my life. The batter was nice and thin and crispy and the fish was moist and flaky. I absolutely loved the steak fries. It was a decadent meal something I wouldn't order too often, but it was fabulous. The restaurant was very spacious and open and had outdoor dining. They were very dog friendly.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Great bar area, great beers and food. The beer selection is massive, it's literally like a phone book and they have something for everyone. Beer lovers unite!!
google avatar

Victoria J.

Yelp
I've heard about this place and have followed along their instagram for SO long and finally I made it in! The place is HUGE with a ton of friendly staff and delicious beer and food.

Bailey A.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, you need to go here. The food was PHENOMENAL. My husband and I ordered a couple burgers and they were honestly some of the best burgers we've ever had in our lives. The portions were very generous and the quality was top tier. We also ordered some pretzel bites and they were so good. The service was great, too, and it was overall a really cool place to hang out. We will definitely be coming back and will bring our friends next time!
google avatar

Robert P.

Yelp
They have no Porters, only crappy IPA's. Wasn't impressed by the menu either. Loud and noisy.
google avatar

Fun C.

Yelp
TRUST THOSE WHO YELP REGULARLY... First time was not a stellar experience. The Margarita Pizza was pretty bad, and for $19, this 10" pie should be amazing. The sweet potato fries were also less than impressive. No vegan and very few plant-based menu items to choose from. The house Belgian beer was good, and my friend liked her beer choice too. The atmosphere is loud, but there's that "open warehouse" vibe so many breweries are doing now, which I do like. If the music volume was to be dropped a little and families could control those barking dogs, this place would be a decent hangout. I'll likely try it again, since this was just one experience... and it's close to home. Your choice to try or not...
google avatar

T D.

Yelp
Amazing beer selection, good food and friendly staff. Their own beers are excellent and they have many guest taps, including Russian River taps and Belgian imports. Lots of bottles too.
google avatar

Barb G.

Yelp
The atmosphere is cool with a motorcycle theme. Our server was super helpful and advised us that burgers were what they are known for. Husband had a beer and the special of the day, elk burger. I had wine and the smoking goat burger. Both were good but loaded with veg. Salad on each burger would not be an overstatement. Not a smash burger style but burger patties cooked medium rare to medium. Elk was lean and cooked perfectly. We will be back to try some of their starters with our beer and wine selections.
google avatar

Rosa O.

Yelp
The burgers were amazing. Go with the special. You can't go wrong with a burger and beer special. The kids' menu is basic. The dino nuggets seemed straight out of costco, nothing wrong with costco - just don't expect much from the kids' menu.

Mark D.

Yelp
Good sports bar but food is questionable. We ordered Fish and Chips (below average) and chicken fingers. They were so bad after 3 bites I sent them back. Changed to Mac n cheese and it was good. Great beer menu but small portions. If you want a beer bar to watch sports, good choice, but eat elsewhere.
google avatar

Elan H.

Yelp
Staff are always nice but this review is about the food. I've been here multiple times and I don't think they've ever changed their oil in the kitchen. The kids food, fries, onion rings, anything fried all taste like nasty old motor oil. Hopefully they read this and change the oil consistently, literally anything that comes out of that fryer is so rank.
google avatar

Katy S.

Yelp
Despite the fact that they have "no" porters, we LOVE their IPAs! Best staff, owners, tap list, food, and kid friendly! They welcome dogs too. One of our go to places! Follow on instagram for their amazing tap takeovers too!
google avatar

Dj D.

Yelp
Only there once, on a small vacation. Weather was perfect. The roll up walls make the view of the airport and ocean therapeutic. Ordered the "famous" burger and it was very good. Expensive compared to regular burgers, but was worth it. Waitress was not exuberant nor very happy about serving. I WILL return. It might maybe get wild at night, but for lunch it was a specular view and having a breeze, it was like a great picnic.
google avatar

SILAS M.

Yelp
I just wanna let you folks know that I had a great time tonight. So did my family. It was a Delirium beer themed-event and my kids loved playing the glasses games with them and actually won some stuff! Austin was our server and he. was. awesome. Super nice, knowledgable and always there when we needed him. The beer selection here is the best in Carlsbad BY FAR. Doesn't hurt that the food is crazy good too. Will 10/10 be back. Very kid friendly btw.

Justin P.

Yelp
So slow!! Get another bar tender. I feel they don't how sell beer as their menu is ridiculously long. Narrow it down and refine the process.
google avatar

Kristine T.

Yelp
Went here awhile ago and took pictures but forgot to write a review. SERVICE - The staff here was very friendly. They let us choose a table since we were the first ones there. Ordering was simple. FOOD Pretzels - I am a big pretzels and cheese girl. I was not a huge fan of them from here though. The pretzels were pretty hard. Seemed to be over baked. Waygu Burger - The meat was flavorful and juicy. Toppings were plentiful. Bun however, was too toasty. It was crunchy. Bootlegger - I tend to lean towards bbq burgers and this one did not satisfy the palette. The crunchy bun just threw me off. I want a burger, not meat between crunchy crusts? Overall, pretty cool place to visit if you enjoy beer!

Sarah F.

Yelp
Carlsbad Brewing never disappoints! They have a diverse menu of pub/comfort food (with vegan options) and everything that I've tried has been delicious - from the pozole to the burger to the meatballs. The service is top notch. If you don't want to feel like family, then this isn't the place for you.
google avatar

Briley D.

Yelp
the humans were craving the fish and chips so on goes the harness and off we go to Carlsbad Brewing. AMAZING! as always! the humans kept ooing and awing about the strawberry blonde beer and how juicy and crispy the fish and chips were so there is your tip, go get those now!! the spot was happening! and people watching was in session for me while I simultaneously send subliminal messages to the humans to share a nibble or two

Yelp
Went there on Saturday, my tab was only 35 dollars, when the guy charged my card I got an alert from my bank that a 255 dollar charge went through, the server assured me that it will be returned to my account within an hour. not only did I get charged the $255 they also made my pay for my tab to be able to leave. Yesterday I waited all day for the $255 to be returned to my account and nothing, i called them at 7Pm to see make a complaint and the person on the phone was rude, saying that his Manager couldn't do nothing for me. I then asked to speak to the manager and all of a sudden she had left to go home. Still waiting for my Money to be returned but this company really needs to teach their servers to be focus on their job and stop flirting with the other servers.

Yelp
Ah, this place es bien. The service was great and I'd come back. Their beer selections are endless. The pizza was good as well. The place is kinda hidden but totally worth checking out.

RJ W.

Yelp
Fries were cold, burger was average, and the beer was pricey at 8$. The service was good, but I think they need to step up their food.
