Carlsbad Food Tours

Well I'm a food reviewer from Denver I was staying in North County for 8 nights. The food tour we took with our tour guide, David was absolutely the best food tour I've ever been on. And I've been on a few in different parts of the country. The history of Carlsbad and the information and the food itself we're just Way Beyond my expectations. My wife and my older son and I had so much fun. I can't say enough about this experience. We spent the next few days going back to Carlsbad from where we were staying in Oceanside and trying some of the restaurants and all were good recommendations and they were all excellent. I've never met a more personal knowledgeable or passionate person who gave me a tour of anything is a phenomenal experience and I can't say enough about our guide.

We did a family Food Tour to celebrate my birthday, and it was fantastic. Our tour guide was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and thoroughly seemed to enjoy his work. The restaurants and food choices were perfect, and we had a great time. I highly recommend it for tourists AND locals. And we will go back to the places we visited. It was terrific marketing for them.

The Carlsbad Food Tour and Wine Tasting was an exceptional experience that exceeded all expectations. Each stop offered a delightful variety of flavors—from authentic Italian dishes and Mediterranean bites to a decadent strawberry shortcake and carefully selected wines. The tour was well-organized, and the pacing allowed plenty of time to savor each tasting and enjoy the charming atmosphere of Carlsbad. Our guide, Ben, did a fantastic job leading the group with enthusiasm and deep knowledge of both the food and the area’s history. We had a great time with David as our guide. We had 6 different tastings and was plenty of food for a meal. David had all the insight of local cuisine but most interesting was the history and culture of Carlsbad. We have done similar tours in Europe and it was fun to join while we had a month in Carlsbad.

We had the pleasure of the food tour today with Ed and it was fabulous. Carlsbad is super chilled and the stops on the tour, combined with the history shared by Ed and the quality of the food made this tour well worth while. No hesitation recommending this to visitors - really enjoyed it

It was ok, bit of a tough start with no gluten free noodles at the Italian place…wish that would’ve been checked on before we got there. It was just me and my wife, so we had a continuous commentary from our host…it did get a little exhausting but we recognize he was doing his job and sharing info. Considering the limited amount of food (extremely small portions at 6 stops), it felt overpriced, but the overall experience did help with the value.

Our guide, David, was exceptional. He gave us interesting historical insights about Carlsbad in addition to excellent food/restaurant choices. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Cheri was a superstar host! My wife and I were in the Carlsbad area for just one day, and Cheri took us out on a food tour especially to accommodate the two of us. I truly appreciate her commitment to this incredible business, and delivering a wonderful experience for locals and visitors alike. There was so much good food along the way that I was practically full by the second stop - I probably should have paced myself at the Italian place. By the time we got to Mediterranean kabob and then donuts, I was practically stuffed and we were just getting started. I'm glad we stopped for some drinks along the way which resulted in wonderful conversation and even more education about the Carlsbad area. I think this was a great way to learn about the area and get great food and drink. The end of the tour ended with gelato, since there's always room for gelato! The pricing for the tour is quite reasonable and an incredible value for the variety and quality of food in the Carlsbad area. Reservations were easy to book online. Cheri has multiple tour guides, so if you're looking for a unique experience you can speak with the company beforehand to tailor exactly what you're looking for. If you're in the area, this is on the must-do list.
