Fantastic place to hang around...sprawling car outlets..wholesale outlets...featuring designer fashion outlets..kids outlets..shoes outlets...fragrances..housewares ...food..drinks.....simply amazing. Yesterday we charged the tesla.. enjoyed dinner at blaze pizza...witnessed fireworks...thinking what a great evening spent here. Today Ruby's...starbucks were open early and what a fantastic day...planning to just be around and enjoy the day here. Ample parking... restrooms..relaxing areas and simply a beautiful day

Google
They have good stores. The general layout is not much that goes easily around, but still manageable. Because of location, near the shore, the weather is nice!

Be_Yumi H

Google
The place is nice but not a lot of stores to shop. It's an outdoor mall like Victoria Gardens. It's next to Flower Fields and right across Carlsbad by the Sea hotel.

Google
This was a nice and clean outlet mall with a variety of stores for any need. There were plenty of sales going on in each store I went into. The entire mall was very clean, and there are plenty of places to eat if ever hungry while shopping. Also, the mall bathrooms were very clean, and the stalls even had a shelf if you needed to leave bags while using the bathroom.

Latasha Jackson

Google
This is a beautiful smallish outlet mall but has some great retail options. Also is a very beautiful property. Had great after Christmas sales.

Google
We have a proper in Carlsbad so we visit the outlet whenever we are there to check the land. They have some of my favorite brands like theory, Vince and Tory b. The majority of stores are always kept well organized and clean, staffs are attentive and friendly. It’s easy to get around the mall, plenty of parking spaces and their Bathrooms are kept clean.

Google
Beautiful outdoor mall! I go there for the shoes: Nike, Under Armor, Converse, Vans, Puma and more, and the prices are amazing! Lots of good clothing stores like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, Etc. Some fun things for the kids like a little train ride, quick food like tacos, but then there's a lot of nice restaurants on the outer perimeter including a Starbucks. Definitely gets crowded at Peak.

Google
Best kept secret in the entire mall? The Oakley Store makes prescription glasses and accepts most major insurances! Crazy that there is an outlet mall where you can get some of the best frames and lenses on the planet for a discount minus what insurance covers - like not generic lame frames, from Holbrooks to the new Mass something or other, they have hundreds of classic and new styles at Oakley, plus big discounts on clothes and book bags. Also, Taco Oasis and the watch/jewelry repair shops are top notch!

Yelp
It's a great outlet. Here are the stores and the discounts I got in mid July 2024: Calvin Klein 70% Adidas 50% store wide Nike was closed due to outage Karl lagerfeld 30-70% Under amour 30-50% Zwilling Tommy Hilfiger Lacoste Micheal kors Coach for men I missed ASICS and stores like lululemon but overall I think it has all major brands with solid discounts.

Yelp
I found this outlet to be small and the prices weren't cheaper than other outlets. However, I did like that it was outdoors and the area was mostly clean and the stores they do have are enjoyable for consumption. Parking on a Saturday evening wasn't too bad either but you do have to scout the area to find parking, took us about 4 mins. There are not too many restaurants and unique cafes or whatnot. Tory Burch = No line but busy inside. However, I got my shoes and earrings easily! Gap = No line and the selection was pretty good. Carters = a bit smelly and warm inside but got my items ok.

Yelp
I am so used to going to the UTC and Fashion Valley malls that never went up north to check these outlets. I was in the area for something else and stopped by to check some stores. For some reason I was not very impressed with this mall, I was expecting luxurious landscaping, places to sit, and a more beautiful look. Also, did not find any special deal even if I checked at various sport outfit stores.

Yelp
I don't get up to Carlsbad often, but this outlet mall has some really good stores with even better deals. You might take some time to browse around, but it'll be worth it. I have never left here without buying a few items. And spending a couple hundred.. Of course I wouldn't wanna waste a long drive up here and leave empty handed. Micheal Kors, Tory Burch, Gap, Converse, Kate Spade, Polo Ralph Lauren, are just some of the stores we check out. I do get tired of shopping after an hour or so, and feel ready to eat or drink somewhere with or without the lady. For food options there is Blaze Pizza, Panda Express, Rubio's, Jersey Mike's, Ruby's Diner and few other lesser knowns. Plenty of parking, though the lots in front can fill up. As is at any outlet malls, many people come for the deals just like I do. Just drive around the back, and you will eventually find a spot likely after circling around a bit.

Yelp
Outlet Mall is a destination before school starts up again. Our quest was for shoes and clothing that are of prime importance when beginning middle school and high school. We walked from one end of the Carlsbad Premium Outlets to the other far corner. We stopped at several of the main brands, such as Levi's and Sketchers and Van's and Under Armor and Chicos, and several more. One observation was that we came during a weekday afternoon, and it was definitely less crowded. The sun, however, made for a real warm day, and one wish is to have more bench seating in the shaded areas of the buildings. Yes, there were seating areas, and tired patrons looking for a rest haven. The shopping was a value filled and successful endeavor, and the young students will be ready.

Yelp
Bought sunglasses from kiosk. The anti-reflective coating was defective or damaged. No way to contact business. Charged through "square" and name of company is "Carlsbad Premium outlets sunglasses / readers". Avoid these cheap sunglasses. Outlet should be more vigilant as to who they rent space to (especially since the charges are in their name).

Yelp
Got the cutest matching #KATESPADE handbag and wallet. Even though I spent $300 I thought it was worth it... I WAS WRONG!! A little over two weeks I used it and the handle broke off. I am just disappointed and now full of regret.

Yelp
Small outlet mall, right off the freeway while passing through Carlsbad. We came here the weekend after Memorial Day, so it wasn't very crowded. There is plenty of ground level parking in front of each store, allowing one to be in and out quickly. It has a very similar selection of stores as other outlets in the area. We walked the entire area (with some stop-ins) in about an hour. Noticed the the word 'premium' is used for all outlet malls these days, all having the same mix of brands, but none of them having the top designer and luxury brands that don't want to be mixed with the word 'outlet'. But there are some 'outlets' that have brands like burberry, gucci, jimmy choo, lagerfeld, prada...though not in the SoCal area (I think).

Yelp
Better food locations at this outlet mall. Can get packed n holidays but overall plenty of stores to check out. They have better sales here so we usually don't leave emptied handed. Located next to a lot of other good places to check out. Very convenient location off the 5 freeway.

Yelp
My toddler and I walked to the toy kiosk called "baby leoardo" , as we typically look for fun looking kiosks to buy toys. This one had junky looking items such as a "machine gun" for children. But we still gave it a chance and looked for other things. Also typical is the "toy demo" area where the toys sit at eye and children's-reach level and are turned on, for the kid to try. When my kid reached for the toy he wanted to try, an older Asian woman took it out of his hand, turned off the power of the toy and began slapping some kind of calculator thing she was holding while saying "GIVE ME MONEY". my child cried, you lost a sale, and you have a danger to your business just sitting there in the middle of your mall. Avoid.
google avatar

Yelp
On the pricier side but there are some good finds there, located to several food stpots in case you didn't find anything in the mall that will satisfy your palette.

Yelp
This review is coming from someone who lives in Hawaii. In Hawaii, everything is expensive including our own outlets which are not the best at all. We came to Cali for spring break and in my own humble opinion I bought more stuff at this outlet for my 20yo than at Citadel or even Honolulu. We came during Hawaii spring break and found ample parking during the week. We also went after visiting Legoland so it was after 3pm. These premium outlets are better priced than our premium outlets at Waikele and have much more variety. I would definitely return when in the Carlsbad area.

Yelp
Wonderful. Lots of parking and shops! There's a ton of places to go to and the food court is pretty big. I remember being with my gf when she bought her first Gucci bag. Haha, $$$$. Now they have a bunch of Tesla chargers there, if you need EV. We loved the Nike outlet. Just go with an open mind and a bottle of water to enjoy the marathon.

Yelp
SUNGLASS HUT suite 125! Not 103! RENE, the store manager in July; I was auditing the store and thankfully I speak Spanish. My job was to pretend I was a customer. I had entered the wrong store but boy does this location need to fire RENE and audit frequently!!! Rene who told me he was the store manager when he was rude to me while I was speaking to Keiko not him. Disgusting human, was speaking in Spanish in front of 7-10 customers poorly about how one came in to return his glasses. How disgusting and oily they were and how the customer was a liar. Mind you, story policy RENE allows the customer to return within 30 days!!! So how does that affect your little "manager" paycheck? Rene was gossiping about customers with the other fair skin Latina in the location. Both fair skin, Unprofessional and despotic RENE and this aged woman. Does your employer know the type of behavior you two engage in!? And the kind Japanese woman, I believe her name was, KEIKO*. You two disgusting and prejudice people didn't want her alone in the store "por que las moscas" because a fly. I believe you two scumbags should be fired immediately!

Yelp
I love this outlet. They have pretty high end stores with great discounts. They have Tory Burch, Boss, high end sunglasses and eyeglasses and they just added Northface.

Yelp
Great outlet mall in Carlsbad just near the famous flower fields. It's not as big as the Outlet Mall near the US Mexico border but still a great place to visit. They have some restaurants but a lot more across the street. It's very clean and well maintained. They have a lot of new shops in the past couple of years. A great place to visit if you want to see and shop at an outlet mall and very close to the I-5 exit (Palomar Airport Road).

Just M.

Yelp
Horrible restrooms that are dated and smell like URINE every single time!!!! For the amount of time and money people spend at this "luxury" mall you need to offer a better first class bathroom!!!!! Shame on you!!!

Yelp
I would like to thank Erik for the great service, and fantastic food here at Rubys diner. The food came out hot and my wife was very happy and it was a great dining experience. Thank you Erik for the great service and memorable dining experience during the holidays. I recommend this restaurant for everybody that wants to eat hot and delicious food ask for Erik ,he will treat you well 5 stars all around. I will re by turn.

Yelp
I'm not much of an 'outlet' shopper but every once in a while I'll go. They're pretty much all the same, in my opinion. The only thing I wish this place had more food courts, more coffee shops and more ethnic food choices.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here twice now and I've seen enough. Pros: - Closer than the Citadel if you're in south OC - Better than the outlet in San Clemente Con: - Can get stuck in bad traffic near the 76 The stores here include Coach, Kate Spade, Puma, Adidas, and Nike. I came specifically for Kate Spade and Lucky Brand. Parking can be annoying as you have to drive around the perimeter until you find a spot. The facilities are dated and in need of cleaning. The bathrooms, in particular, smelled of mildew in both instances.
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
The Outlets in Carlsbad I've been here for a very long time. I have to say that year after year they really keep this place up. The bathrooms are always nice and functional and most of the stores are open even during the roughest of times. All the shopping stores let you bring your dogs in as well. It's a great place to see a lot of cute doggies. It's a great place to come to get some steps in and sometimes you find an amazing deal. They don't have all the stores, but they do have a lot of them from low end to high end. There is ample parking and usually the most open spots are over by Rubio's on one end or Banana Republic on the other end. But it's not a very big outlet mall so wherever you park you're going to get around just fine. For the professional shorties, there is an Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Coach, Dooney & Bourke as well as Theory. The flower fields are behind the outlet mall, but instead of paying the best way to see those flowers is to park above the flower fields for free and look down on them, but I digress. There are also some pretty big sit down restaurants across the street from the outlet mall. Recommended.

Edwin S.

Yelp
Every store in the mall is great. Customer service is excellent and prices are reasonable. A great place to walk and relax. I would recommend this outlet.

Yelp
Decent outlet mall with easy access to the 5 freeway. The few times I've gone, foot traffic is definitely on the lighter end. I remember when this place used to be pretty packed, so it's obviously showing it's age and wear. The parking troubles that previous reviewers wrote about years ago wasn't apparent during my most recent visits - I was able to find plenty of parking when I'd stop by - usually early in the morning when they first open, or the last hour or so before they close. The deals are hit or miss - some stores have deep discounts for quality items - I was able to pick up a TUMI wallet (https://www.yelp.com/biz/tumi-outlet-carlsbad?hrid=laGlLk1XG6-iXnS6mmQYQQ) at a great price - with no visible defects. The CK store had some uptight employees that forget they are working retail and aren't really better than their customers. But that's a specific store problem, not the fault of the mall. In any case, it's always worth a visit for me when I'm in the area - usually on the way to/from San Diego or the Safari Park.

Gillian P.

Yelp
Beginning to show its age. Exteriors of some stores are being re-painted, tiling in several areas is cracked, but the worst signs of age - or lack of money - is that all the flower borders are nothing but weeds or bare earth. I did not find many bargains when looking for shoes. Prices in both Ecco and Clarks were not much lower than online prices. Chicos had awful stock (the clothes you find in Chicos outlets you will not find in standard Chico stores. Restaurants are all fast food style. Nothing much to recommend this place.
google avatar

Miguel A.

Yelp
Be aware if you are working or coming to this mall and they are doing maintenance or painting the building. They will damage your property and will not take responsibility for it. Then they will send the person that damaged your property and tell you that you are lying in your face. The management at this place lack of respect for the employees and customers and they like to talk down to people. Just make sure to check your car and your personal property before leaving premises. The management is very disrespectful.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped by on my way to LA, the prices there are incredible low. Have good stores. @peluchese

Yelp
This one of the smaller outlets but it serves its purpose well. I prefer to visit on weekdays when parking is less challenging but occasionally visit on weekends as well. I love that it's dog friendly and I can bring my dog with me when I choose to. My husband loves shopping at the adidas and under armor stores and has received additional discounts for being a veteran in addition to marked down prices.
google avatar

Roshy P.

Yelp
Very clean and organized. I enjoyed shopping here. I specifically liked the benches placed here and there for tired shoppers. It was a Saturday afternoon, parking was tough to find, but the crowds were not overwhelming. Be prepared to walk, so wear comfortable shoes.
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
Start your shopping engines and get yourself to the Carlsbad outlets! This place has it all; Nike, Carter's, Jockey, Kate spade, polo, adidas, gap etc. While my husband worked and dined at Ruby's diner (best burgers in the area) my daughter and I strolled the outlets and did some early Christmas shopping. Hours passed and we loved every minute. The outlets are clean, large, and have fantastic deals. There are bathrooms and food located throughout so you're never hungry or in bathroom desperation. Seemed as if everyone there was friendly and enjoying their jobs (a rarity at the moment). It was a relief to get a good chunk of Christmas shopping done and know we were getting some great prices as well! Parking at the outlets is easy and there are plenty of spaces. The area is spacious yet not overwhelmingly large. This is a wonderful place to shop for yourself or do some Christmas shopping!
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
There are plenty of shops to shop from. Easy to get to and also, right off the freeway.....
google avatar

Norbert K.

Yelp
As outlet malls go, this one is about par for the course. It is an open-air mall with nearly 100 retail outlets and food venues. It's conveniently located near I5 North of Palomar Airport Road. Parking is very good.
google avatar

Antony M.

Yelp
Went in with no idea what I needed or wanted. Tyree helped me out and he's awesome! Took the time needed to get me the perfect pair of shoes. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful! They didn't have my color in stock BUT offered to get them ordered in my color and in the new model too! Top tier customer service and I would absolutely recommend Tyree if you are unsure of what you want. Thank you sir, hats off to you! This guy needs a raise ~
google avatar

Rhondi S.

Yelp
Came here twice in a week, Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Friday the day after. Needless to say it was crowded for the sales, but the sale prices were already in full effect on Wednesday such as 20-40% off, few stores gave military discounts, unfortunately the stores we went to did not. Parking can be busy and crazy during the holidays. Brands from Lucky, 7, Joe's jeans, Tommy H, Ferragamo, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Coach, Polo, Gap, Banana, Nike and every sport shoe brand here. Much more fine jewelry, watches, Movado, Tumi and more. They have chain eatery's from Blaze, Ruby's diner, Panda, SBUX, Rubios etc.
google avatar

Jenna S.

Yelp
Nice area to come and walk around. They have some nice stores too to go into and shop around. We didn't end up finding anything, but it was just nice to come and walk! They also had a lot of holiday decorations up when we were there, which was really fun to see!
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
Definitely don't like Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Has the Oakley vault, non-double story coach. Horrible customer service at the stores here. No escalators here.
google avatar

Brian H.

Yelp
I like the stores here but the parking is usually terrible and the Tesla charging station makes that entrance very dangerous. I have nothing against Tesla, I have one, but I saw multiple people almost run into each other trying to get around the line of waiting teslas.
google avatar

Z L.

Yelp
Since covid, all the stores have reopened. Airy and busy but not crowded, feeling, even though it was difficult to park in the parking lot as well. We got lucky, and found all the items that we had hoped to find, which has been for several years unusual :-)
google avatar

Don S.

Yelp
Good outlets. Decent selection of the regulars. Biggest plus is the Samsonite store. Great prices for quality luggage designed for serious travelers
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
I was disappointed by the pricing. I was expecting a discounted price by shopping at an "outlet store". Maybe I have the wrong idea of what to expect.

Linda K.

Yelp
Bad service at all the different shops. They treat you terribly and it isn't worth the money.
google avatar

Dulce_ M.

Yelp
In my opinion, after several months on lockdown. This mall is picking up. Stores mostly opened, some remain closed. The difference now is the line, hence the social distancing in place. Just odd to come to the mall now falling in line and wait for your turn to get in. But this outlet has good amount of people on a Saturday. You will still see stubborn shoppers without mask but the majority wears one. Parking- not so great here. If you come a little late good luck on finding one. Selections of the store is pretty decent.
google avatar

Ernest F.

Yelp
One of my favorite outlets! Not the largest outlet mall by any means, but it has the essentials with excellent discounts and sizes, which to me is just as important as number of stores. If you like furniture, they have Crate & Barrel. If you need shoes, they have Nike and Cole Haan. Need basics for work, Theory, Gap and Banana Republic have you covered. Need jeans, AG is there too. Want something fancier, Salvatore Ferragamo. Hungry while shopping? Hit up Ruby's. Note: there's an overflow lot on the south side of the mall if the main parking area is full. Valet too.
google avatar

Arpita G.

Yelp
A wonderful outlet mall with tons of stores and dining options! The retail stores here are always busy and have great customer service. There is plenty of parking in the huge lot. I have always had a safe, wonderful shopping experience here.
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
We visited the Carlsbad Premium Outlets a couple of times during our visit. It has a huge parking lot which is more than sufficient except during peak times, when cars can be seen hunting for spots. We usually come here in search of something specific, as in we need a pair of flip-flops for the beach, or a sweat shirt for cooler than expected weather. Stores range from high end Barney and Barney, Oakley and Coach to the more modest Gap, Disney and Sekchers. There are 10 restaurants listed here including Blaze Pizza, Panda Express, Rubio's, Ruby's Diner and Mot'to Japanese Grill (Fresh, Healthy, Tasty Japanese Food). We ate at the latter, and thought it was pretty good for a fast and reasonably healthy lunch. This is a pedestrian friendly shopping environment. It backs up to the Flower Fields, and in the spring, allows for a glimpse of the beautiful flowers on the hill. Note that you cannot walk up the stairs in the back of the Carlsbad Premium Outlets to get a better view of the Flower Fields.
google avatar

Arnel D.

Yelp
Used to come here often back when outlets were a fad... with limited parking it makes it more difficult to visit. There are tons of shops here as well as eateries. It is always a good time to come and relax while enjoying the cool ocean breeze. Whether you come to window shop or leisure shop, you are sure to enjoy yourself. Depending on the season, it could definitely get crowded. This past weekend seemed like a bad time to drop by as the flower fields next door was packed... which meant most of their guests ended up parking on the outlet parking lot. Regardless, I had a good time, waited for my wife to shop then headed out. I did check out a few usual spots like the Reebok, Nike and Polo stores. All had good deals but nothing that screamed "Buy Me Now" so I passed at least for now. Be back soon.

Aly P.

Yelp
Parking is a nightmare! I don't know what they where thinking when they built the place. Restaurant/ dinning very limited. The nike store is more of a retail store not a outlet. Some premium stores but not like Palm springs outlets. They really need More premium stores its carlsbad people have money to spend!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to relax and spend some time leisurely shopping. From and East Coast perspective, my reference would be Concord Mills just outside of Charlotte and just outside of Concord. To be honest, the primary reason it was built in this exact location was it's proximity to Charlotte but still across the County Line in lower tax Cabarrus County. I was in Carlsbad and had some time to kill so I drove down to the Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Interesting in that both are Simon Properties and product mix is very similar. Biggest difference is that Concord Mills is generally a enclosed mall with the stores on the inside of a huge building whereas Carlsbad Premium Outlet is more of a strip mall on steroid. Make sense because of the weather. It can be very cold in wet in Concord in the winter and very hot and humid in the Summer so an enclosed Mall makes sense even if it more expensive to build. Carlsbad being close to the Ocean has a more even temperature so not as much reason to build and enclosed structure. More out of curiosity but grabbed a cup of Starbucks Coffee and roamed around for about two hours. Nice mixture of shops I was familiar with and restaurants of fast food places, some familiar and some more from the West Coast. Next trip to Carlsbad, will definitely come down with my Daughter and Grandson and we'll see what we can find.
google avatar

Belle B.

Yelp
I stopped in for some last minute shopping before Christmas. There was a beautiful tall tree in the middle of the mall. This is a small outlet mall in Carlsbad, not too far from Legoland. Considering SoCal is under Covid quarantine, there were few people shopping and all the stores were respecting the restricted capacity requirements. There were lines to get into some stores, but everyone was socially distancing in line. Some stores allowed for virtual cues so you didn't have to stand in a long line. This is a small outlet, but they have some popular stores and a few high end brands. I think it's always nice to pop in and see what they have.
google avatar

Karissa L.

Yelp
We came to check out the outlets on a Wednesday morning. We arrived about 10 minutes before opening and there were already a lot of cars parked in the lot. This outlet is kind of small. We pretty much finished shopping and walking the entire area within 1.5 hours. For an outlet, there weren't that many great sales or deals going on. I felt like I was just walking through an outdoor mall. Overall, they have a decent store selection but nothing special.
