We passing through this local market that has almost everything you need in the kitchen or cooking! There are stalls for Japanese food, for wine, for beer, for seafood, for fresh fruit and vegetables, for fresh flowers, couple butcher shop and most importantly ~ the bakery! I wish next time if God permits for us to return to Dusseldorfer I would love to spend more time in here!

A vibrant place with all tourist places within 500 Mtrs to 1 km. A good place for lunch or dinner with restaurants offering good choice of cuisines. The market has carts offering flowers to food and cheese to beer.

Absolutely loved this market! It’s got a variety of things such as food, drinks, cheese, flowers etc. it’s a bit tight especially when it’s packed but it’s worth checking out. I don’t think the prices are too bad. Should definitely check out the pasta place by the front and puff pastry. The strawberry cheesecake croissant was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had

Great place to walk through and look and smell all the foods. The little fish shop on the corner sells great dishes and breads filled with fish. The pastry shop has some good looking and very tasty stuff. Only disadvantage is that it can be very hard to find a table to stand on or sit at.

Great flower stalls, can get a gorgeous bouquet made by combining different flowers. Variety of food stalls, a bit expensive. You also get different types of meat and cheese. They have stalls of fruits and veggies, but rates are higher as compared to supermarkets

The Carlsplatz is a mixed market selling traditional fruit, veg and flowers. It is also a food market selling a vast array of cooked foods. With food from all around Europe of which varies in price from a few Euros up to a full three course meal. I went to the Dutch fish 🐠 stall and had a piece of traditional fried fish in a fresh roll. Although it was close to closing time it appeared to be no trouble to fry a fresh piece of fish.

Another stop on our European tour was Dusseldorf and Carlsplatz Markt. It was lunchtime so very busy, but there were a lot of food outlets so we were spoilt for choice. We settled on a place outside that did various sausages and German fair. It was delicious. The amount of places to eat, drink and buy anything you could think of from was awesome. I'd definitely go back to see if I could try every food stall.

Yelp
The Carlsplatz market is the oldest operating market in Düsseldorf and is named after Elector Karl Theodor (1724-1799). When the Carlstadt district was laid out in the second half of the 18th century, this square was part of the plan. It was originally a parade ground for the French garrison during the French occupation of Düsseldorf in 1797. The Prussians also used Carlsplatz around the middle of the 19th century to exercise for their soldiers who were stationed in the barracks on Kasernenstrasse. In 1997, a group of traders was formed and they lease the square from the city and run the market themselves. The glass roof was added in 1998 and the glass pavilions in 2002. The market is held here six days a week and consists of some 60 traders with food, produce, meat, fish, bakery goods, fresh flowers and other trade goods. It should definitely be high on your list of stops when you visit Düsseldorf! [Review 16357 overall - 164 in Germany - 1864 of 2021.]

Yelp
This is a really cool farmers market with tons of food stories. The variety is great as there is tons of produce, specialized meats, poultry, fish shops as well as cheese and jams, oils, etc. my fave has to be the potato shop and regret not taking a picture cause wasn't aware there were so many varieties of potatoes! I also liked that so many of the stores also had lots of free samples that let you try and taste before buying. So this is not just a produce market, there are also a variety of food stalls - from Germany bratwurst to Italian and Indian - something for everyone! Would suggest shopping around tho' as prices vary tons. BTW, I visited on a Saturday and then came back again on Sunday, but it was closed, so be aware of that. When in Düsseldorf, absolutely recommend checking this place out! Yelp 239/ 2018

Yelp
Well, if you want to experience a European farmer's market, then this is certainly a place that I would recommend checking out. When I stepped in here I wasn't sure what to expect, until I discovered that it was chock full of stalls, all undercover mind you because this is Dusseldorf and it does have a habit of getting pretty wet in Dusseldorf. As can be expected from similar markets, there is an awful lot on offer, including lots and lots of cheese and salami. It was a shame that I couldn't take any back to Australia.

Yelp
Oh this place is quite adorable. I found it when I was walking around with a friend around Dusseldorf's downtown. A lot of little stalls with old ladies and gentleman selling fruits, vegetables and even some cheese. Grab your shopping bag and get ready for some cooking at home - if that is not your style I highly recommend you get something to eat there. The juice stalls are amazing and you can get very fresh squeezed juices for as little as 1 euro if you'd like. Yes, everything around here tends to be cheap and very fresh. Come on over, get some flowers, have some fun.

Yelp
Great market to experience! It's pretty big for my standards, and certainly big enough to get whatever you could need. Made me want to cook something great at home! It kind of made me feel like I was on one of those markets in Spain, since it was great weather when I went there. Great experience!

Yelp
Beautiful market. Many rows of fresh produce. Flowers are very fragrant throughout the market. Cheeses and sides to compliment wine are abundant. Many different wines to sample and buy.

Yelp
I really can recommend this market in the Düsseldorfer old city. Its great you can find a lot of fresh specialities from all over the world. I like the cheeseshop in the first row behind the cabs (taxi). They got top cheese and wines for nice prices. On this market they sell alot of fresh fruits, flowers and vegetables. Its a must to go there if you are in Düsseldorf.
