So I've driven past this place so many times and my sister said she wanted to go, so off we went. Food: Amazing! Atmosphere: Fun and outdoor seating! Personnel: Great! First and foremost, the flavor is spot on and the portions are so big. Totally worth the cost. The food itself is just amazing to look at but when you get that first bite, everything just melts together creating an exquisite flavor combo. No one at my table complained about anything. The fries and haystack onions were great. The burgers are amazing. My son ordered green chili on the side too do his fries and O.M.G, the green chili was also amazing! If you're ever in the area, you should definitely stop in. The only downside would be parking. I believe there are literally 2-3 regular and 2 handicap spots.

I can't believe we have this awesome place in our neighborhood! The place was IMPECCABLE, the service top notch, but the best part was the quality of the food! I had a carnitas torta better than I've had anywhere else and the burger my husband had looked like out of a magazine and tasted even better. Besides the food there is lots of outside seating and the decor is eclectic, colorful, and creates a great ambiance. Can't wait to go sit at the lovely outside bar. 10/10

What sucks most about bad nachos? Usually, it's a lack of meat. These nachos do not suck. HEAPING nachos and chili cheese fries🍟. Noticeable difference in a Mom and Pop restaurant in how they approach food. Oh, and they're churros rival the best fair food. Add this spot to the TOP of your denver food bucketlist. Did we mention their craft cocktails are muy delicioso? Cuz they are 🥹

Terrific first-night here last week after the busy period. The wife enjoyed a terrific and perfectly cooked burger. I had the sausage patty sammy. Service was personal, friendly, and very attentive and the jazz vibe on the heated patio was just right. We'll make it a regular stop!

This is a great little place to grab a dog or a burger anytime of day. I got the Maxwell Street polish and it was delicious, an abundance of caramelized onions and a couple sport peppers really set off the flavor of this tasty sausage. The fries were hand cut and very fresh and flavorful. Service was fast and the restaurant was well decorated and very clean. Highly recommend this place for a quick weekend bite or just hang out in the backyard bar and have a drink with friends.

The atmosphere is cute but the food is definitely not worth the money. I ordered a basic metropolitan which was just ok. My husband order a giddy up burger. He said the only reason it had flavor was cause of the different meats and the nacho cheese. No seasoning at all on the burgers. We also got an order or the east Colfax tots. The predominant.flavor that was on them was lime. It was extremely over bearing. I had such high hopes and was sorely disappointed.

Had dinner with my wife in-laws and 2.5 year old son. Between us we ordered the Montebello, Taylor Street Italian, kids chicken skewers and The Met Burrito, and Birria Taco. Everything was tasty. The burger meat was high quality and cooked to perfection. The French fries were outstanding. I ordered the burrito with carne asada and I think it was one of the top burritos I have had in Denver with regards to capturing the flavors I came to love growing up in SoCal. The Birria taco was melt in your mouth delicious. The beans, rice , salsas, carne asada, and everything really captured the essential flavors and textures that define Mexican food. My overall impression is that this place gets well deserved hype for burgers and brats, but...they deserve a lot more credit for their Mexican food. Will definitely be coming back and is going to be my go to place for burritos and tacos in Denver. Edit: Have been twice since my initial review. So good. Love everything I have had. Awesome people working here.

Great meal! Good vibes with a huge diner-style menu and huge portions. The servers were excellent and the drinks were well-made and well-priced. Highly recommend!

Awesome place! A hidden gem. Food, service and ambiance were all awesome. My husband had the beef dip. Spicy and great. I had the Cherry Creek burger - I was expecting just BBQ and Mac on the sandwich, but it also had a burger patty and bacon Mac on the side. So much good food. Sweet potato fries were thick and fresh. Onion strings were thin, and also fresh. My son wasn't expecting a thick skin on his hot dog, but not the fault of the restaurant. He loved the bacon Mac on the side. Churro shake we shared had us fighting over sips. Art on the walls was cool. Patio looked fun and where we sat had a garage door that could open in good weather. Service was also great. Friendly and attentive. When we drove up I was a little skeptical, but very glad we went in.

If you are looking for a great burger and fries then this is your place! I would give it 4.5 stars if I could! We decided to try this place when it was participating in Westword's Burger Week and we are so glad we did. We don't live nearby, but it was worth the drive from the Highlands. The menu is extensive and full of Chicago-specific foods. My husband is from Chicago and we served Italian beef sandwiches at our wedding rehearsals, so good food from there has a special place in our hearts. We both ordered Old Styles and the Montbello burger with fries. The burger comes with bacon, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, jack cheese and chipotle mayo. It was a great burger! The toppings all went really well together and the meat had good flavor. I appreciated that it came with lettuce and tomato as I like that freshness with my burgers. I wish the meat had a little more flavor. The fries were the best! They were skin-on and perfectly cooked. There was a good combination of soggy and crispy ones. I love soggy fries, so I was happy. Had a side of ranch with them, which I don't think was homemade unfortunately as it doesn't taste great from the bottle. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the ambiance was super fun. We will definitely be back to try more things.

After dropping our guest off at DIA we looked for a sandwich restaurant to grab lunch on the way to Denver. We selected Carm & Gia because of the menu and reviews. We were greeted by a friendly staff. We planed to eat at a local park and they suggested two that are only 2 blocks away. While waiting for our food they showed us their dining room and large outside table area including a bar and dog area. They have music and various activities in the outside area. Overall the restaurant is very clean and comfortable. We both selected hamburgers and fries and potato salad. Food was delicious and the lettuce and other fixings were tasty and fresh. Overall a great lunch and experience. Will stop again for sure.

Food was solid! I got a mini burger, so I'm excited to try one of the regular burgers next visit. The patio is nice and I'll def be visiting with my pup in the summer

Been driving by this place for years and never had the nerve to go in. I should remember to never judge a book by its cover. This was such a surprise that I've been back 2 more times. They have a great back patio that is secluded from Montview street and offers heaters in the winter and a full bar with televisions. They pay homage to Colorado food staples and the classic Chicago style hot dogs. The Pueblo Italian sandwich pays homage to the famous Pass Key sandwich and nailed it. They use better bread than the original an offer it wet or soaked which is a twist to it. I tried it dry and may try soaked (beef stock am told) next time. Burgers and hotdogs are a must try. The Chicago style dog included all the necessary ingredients including green relish, sport peppers, pickle, tomato, onions, mustard and celery seeds on a poppy seed bun. I am a snob about fries and do prefer their sweet potato fries over the regular ones. On nice weekends, this is patio I'll be at.

I should have known when we were the only people there are 6:30pm on a Thursday that something was wrong. The ambiance is decent, particularly outside, but the food was just poor. The burrito had almost no taste. Both burgers were overcooked. The fries were soggy and mushy. The margarita I had with Don Julio was one of the worst I've ever had. It took 20 minutes to get, when we were the only ones there. The guacamole was not fresh and there was hardly enough to cover the chips. The sprite tasted flat. Not one thing that we ordered was good, and the prices are much too high for this subpar food. I don't know how this place has such a high rating, but something is seriously suspicious.

Love!! Just a superb spot. What a cute theme and decor, inside and out. Super attentive service. Delicious burgers. We just really had a good time. Highly recommend and hope you all come here.

I have to say this place when I recommend it to everyone to come for lunch dinner with stuff with my friends at this place definitely coming back thank you guys. Cheers. Five star for you guys.

Great place I thought it was a bit pricey for my family. But the service and quality made it worth it.

Great Chicago style food The Italian beef sandwich was so good. The fries were crispy and delicious especially for hand -cut fries. The menu is pretty extensive. The seating area is on the smaller side but very clean and welcoming. It feels like a family run establishment. There were some minor gaps in the service but nothing major--the employees were super friendly. Parking is an issue. Mostly street parking which was surprisingly limited. The area is not the best, but we didn't have any issues.

All of the above! First time visiting but not the last! In north aurora it's hard to find a REAL!Chicago dog. But , I found a real diamond! This little place is so cool. The ladies were so nice, and the place is so laid back! I wanted a Chicago Dog. And an option was to double, so of course I was in!! All the CORRECT ingredients, poppyseed buns. Are the first thing! They're a few places that claim they have a Chicago dog, but don't know what it really is. They don't usually last because people know specific ingredients make an iconic menu item. This particular dog is a prime example! And these folks have it down! Another thing, I had the Mexican street corn entre. It came out first with a giant blue spoon ( memories of childhood) , however, served in a cup, with cojita,crema, lime, and love. It was delicious! I had a great experience here! Plus the bathroom was such a great surprise! I won't spoil it by telling you what you need to see for yourself! What a jewel in old Aurora! God Bless these people that own and make this little place so awesome!

What happened? This place used to be decent. But not anymore. Burgers over cooked and dried out, fries greasy and soggy, patio speakers are Blown so music is obnoxious. No beers on tap. Server dropped off bottled beer menu but never returned to take my beverage order until she brought out the crappie food. She never returned to see how our food was or check on us. We were the only customers on a Wednesday afternoon at 2.

Good burgers, nice patio! Been driving by this place for over a year and finally went inside. Got the sunny side burger, which is like a genteel slopper. (For those not familiar, an open faced burger smothered with green chile that is a staple of our neighbors to the south in Pueblo.) Green chile was pretty good, if not really all that spicy, and they gave a good amount in a bowl so I smothered my fries. Fries were a good in between of thick enough to have some nice soft texture but also crispy enough. Good dipping or smothering fries, IMO. Burger was actually done medium! So many places promise that and fail. Beef tasted good. GF got the nachos and they were also tasty! Service was pretty good. Forgot about a drink at one point, but that's super small potatoes. Back patio area was decently full with people and the small indoors area was hopping. Parking looked a bit tight. Maybe two or three spots (and a dog park?!) in their lot to the west of the building. Generally a nice and laid back vibe. Not fine dining by any stretch, but I'll be back to work through some more of the menu.

The metro Q burger, hubs got their burger special the quesabirria burger ( so many flavors!) we also got the pizza puff (so nostalgic) and the Buffalo tots to shAre. Good experience and the servers were kind, food was yummy and we'll be back! Thanks!

This place looks great on paper, but it's all sizzle no steak. The ideas and pictures look great, but in reality everything was bland at best. The burger was supposed to have pork belly on it, which was all fat and had to be removed. The burger itself beyond that was average, would have preferred a home cooked. The hotdog was the best of the three, but despite the toppings were just bland. It was as if seasoning had been forgotten at every stage of the cooking process. Finally the chicken sandwich, dry as a bone and the "heat" essentially comes from chili pepper flakes in oil that made a few bites "hot" but that only served to mask the absence of flavor. Way overpriced for what we were served. Likely won't return.

This is a local charming place with a nice indoor and outdoor seating area as well as a varied menu with something for everyone. Shakes, Chicago style foods like dogs and sandwiches, burritos, and burgers. We ordered a little of everything. Service was prompt and food came out fast and hot. Portion size was reasonable! The atmosphere was fun and the garage door style doors opened onto the patio and made for a fun aesthetic.

Okay, a Chicago-themed restaurant just ten minutes from my home, and it's run by a fellow DePaul University grad? Hello, I have found my new favorite place to eat in Denver. Razz and Tom have a great place here. Indoor seating has such cool Chicago-based stuff everywhere, all the way to Razz' Damen Avenue L-Stop sign. Restrooms have CTA maps! Every Chicago sports team is represented! The patio rocks, a wonderful spot to hang out and enjoy time with your friends in an unrushed environment. I LOVED the menu, as it is a tribute to my hometown, with options mostly named after places that I cherish. I picked the Windy City hot dog because I just knew it would be outstanding, and it was. Loved the street corn and the chip and guac. The fries were great. But the epicenter of Carm and Gia (ask them why it's called that, a great story in itself) is Razz, a wonderful, hands-on person who knows what it's supposed to look and act like and then delivers a superb product. So what if she didn't go to Lane Tech!!!!! Razz and Tom...we are coming back, again and again.

Great service, fun patio, big portions, yummy burgers. Not light fare, but yummy delicious meat based sandwiches, burgers and sausages! The onions straws are dangerous. Yum!

Amazing! I moved here from Chicago and was going to miss the food so much. Everything I've had here is even better than Chicago! I've had the loop italian beef, chicago dog, and the pizza puff and they did not disappoint! The retro vibe in the restaurant is fun too! Highly recommend!

Have you ever had one of those teenage-lightbulb flashbacks? Of course you have. I had one of those today while talking to my brother about tee times in Vail, but more about that later. As I was talking to my brother I was also thinking about driving to Vail in my 74 Karmann Ghia with my skis suctioned to the side windshield. Suddenly, off went that lightbulb and it wasn't the taillight on my car. You see, I've been wanting to try Carm and Gia's Metropolitan forevah and tonight it happened! Here's the, "more about that later part," I promised: If you've read my review about Wellshire Golf Course you'll understand why I ordered The Wellshire Burger with tots! If not, here's the gist of it-- I actually grew up on Wellshire golf course as a tot! Sorry to punish you with that. Shifting gears now. Not long after I ordered, the Wellshire Burger arrived. I immediately turned on my high beams and hazards and if you look at the picture you'll see why. This burger looked so detailed-- as if it was sitting on the showroom floor. There was no need to haggle over price either. It comes standard with a decent sized patty, on a fresh bun, with an egg, onion straws, natural bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and C&G sauce! Without hesitation, I popped the clutch and took this burger for a test drive! It was super tasty and made my motor hum. What about the tots, you ask? Well the tots were on cylinder! I know that one hurt, but the world could use a new rating for different shaping. I digest. Now I'll move on to particulars. Service started out a little slow, but once I let them know I was on the patio the service was amazing, Miguel stopped by multiple times as did 3 other staff members. The music was perfect and just loud enough to block that Colfax surf. The lighting was perfect and the area was kept clean both inside and out! As a bonus, one of my favorite Banksy paintings is located inside the restaurant! All in all, I'll definitely get back to Carm and Gia's for another spin. I'm really hoping one or both of these things happen in the near future; either Carm and Gia's does really well, and/or they open another restaurant at the old Breakfast King location so it's closer to my home. Thanks for the great experience C&G; it was fantastic-- for wheels! :)

Great spot. Very cute and tasty. Got the beef and Mac and cheese. Both good. The decor and set up of the whole place makes it very nice to hang out.

Giving extra star because staff was attentive and friendly. Large variety of food for every want/need. The portion sizes are big so bring your appetite or split with someone. The best thing about the meal was the fries. Hand cut, sea salt, and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese was flavorful but the sauce had separated. The Giddy Up Cowboy burger was decent, a little too charred for my liking and it didn't come with a polish dog it was an over charred hot dog. We did request a couple substitutions which didn't occur even though we were 2 of 4 people in the restaurant at the time. The strawberry shake was sickly sweet, like some kind of sweetened syrup not real fruit. Lastly, the churro, sadly, was over cooked and extremely hard all the way through.

Funky little place with fun decor. The owner (I think) was apologetic from the start that they were short staffed but we were there on a Tuesday at lunch so it wasn't super busy. Tons of options on the menu. We ordered the street corn appetizer, which was really fantastic. The sandwiches were both good. An al pastor torts and a Pueblo sausage. The fries were merely okay. Kinda soggy and not crispy. Because they were short staffed, I couldn't get a margarita, which was a bummer. They were also out of Diet Coke. All in all, a decent lunch. But probably not worth driving 20 mins for, which we did.

Chicago gal here, can't explain how much this tastes like good old home. Love love this place. Highly recommend!!

Very cute aesthetic and the fries were delicious. They weren't included with the burger, it was à la Carte. You got a good amount of fries. The. Service was really nice. But the burger was very bland and unseasoned, the bun held up beautifully with the amount of cheese they put on there. I am not completely sure, but it definitely tasted like a frozen patty. I would go back and test the waters again, though. Next I will try something other than a burger.

Just had my 4th and probably last visit to Carm & Gia. I really wanted to like this place. It's got a great Chicago style menu, nice patio, and it's close to the neighborhood. Despite all that they can't seem to pull it all together. The service is minimal, the draft beer is flat, the food is just not very good. Last night, I ordered the Metrpolitan Burger, and it was gross, I think the Dijon mustard was bad, Dijon is always bad but this was BAD, It was clumpy and extremely acidic. When I mentioned it to a server (the owner or manager), she looked at 1/2 eaten burger, shrugged it off, sucks to be you, and walked away. No offer to fix it, remake it, Comp it, nothing...just a . My wife ordered the Montbello Burger, which has bacon, my wife hates bacon, so I asked the server to put that bacon on my burger . Cannot compute at all. Even after very specifically instructing the server to NOT PUT ANY BACON on her burger, guess what happened? Her burger came out with a huge pile of bacon on it. WTF Carm & Gia? On my other 3 visits, I've tried their various Chicago Style Italian Beefs, and as the son of a Chicago native I have to say they suck. Sorry C&G I wanted to like you so bad!

Have heard people rave about this place so wanted to try and went here a few months ago. My boyfriend got the burger and I don't remember what I got but the food was mediocre at best.

I've been to C & G probably 10-15 times since they opened. Most experiences have been a 4 or 5. This one was a definite 3. The good: The Wellshire Burger with GF bun. It's a 5/5. The bottom bun is a little greasy but that's because they pack in all the goodies. The bad: the service. New employee tried her best but what disappointed me was the lack of service by the owner. The employee had issues ringing up my order. I would have liked the owner to step up and help at the register. I only saw one table occupied. It was quiet. Unless the To-Go was busy, the very sweet employee we'd training. The owner didn't provide it. I ordered a tequila soda in the back. The employee forewarned me her lack of experience. But she used a soggy lime, club soda from a cup and didn't know how to ring it up. She had to go back to the front to know how to ring me up. The owner didn't provide any guidance for her nor did she say anything to acknowledge the new employee's lack of experience to me. She sort of side eyed me. Not what I want from the owner of a small business that I support. Maybe a smile and a thanks? With TAG Burger bar arriving to the neighborhood in the next 30-45 days, I would hope for better service.

This fast casual eating spot did NOT disappoint. The burgers are innovative and downright tasty! There is a burger option for everyone. Additionally, there are tasty sides, burritos, and desserts. Get some!

Recently came here for a pick up and everything was amazing! Staff were super attentive and happy to help. They packed our order so nicely with thank you notes and taped up any sauces with extra care so that they didn't spill. It was a nice surprise to see some free cookies in there as well!

Went back tonight after about 6 months and the break wasn't for any reason other than we don't take Montview often. We have been here a couple times for dine in and have done a few pick up orders, it is going to be a new frequent for us. The atmosphere is adorable, clean, amazing patio with bar, the food is on point and has not disappointed, ever. We have had hot dogs, hamburgers, breakfast and tonight tried The Loop Italian, Windy City dog, and birria taco -all amazingly flavorful and large portions. Service is impeccable, friendly and efficient and prices are reasonable considering the influx of costs and compared to other restaurants, very reasonable....$6 IPA, and other premium beers, $5 wines. Overall a wonderful, delicious meal. A true gem for anywhere in Denver, but I am thankful of their location as the area needs more good restaurants (there are some), C & G, a neighborhood gem but worth going the distance!

2 years into COVID Pandemic Review (March, 2022) We were looking for a new place to go out. We talked to our neighbor, and he recommended Carm & Gia Metropolitan. At first, I had a hard time finding the restaurant, and I wasn't sure how to spell it. I found it, got the directions, and off we went. Carm & Gia Metropolitan is a small restaurant, off of Montview Blvd and Dallas. It's right there, on the southwest corner. It's easy to miss, as it's small. I did miss it, and had to turn around, and go back several blocks BINGO! I pulled up front, and my husband ran in and asked where we could park. I wasn't crazy about parking on the street. One of the employees came out, and we were told we could park in the apartment parking lot directly next door, in the row closest to the restaurant, so we did. We walked in, and fun! It's small, with diner type tables and chairs. There are 10 small tables, with red and white diner chairs. There is also a bench that runs along one wall. It's a hard bench without any cushions, but it was comfortable enough. You can always sit on your coat if needed. There is a garage style door, that can be opened to the outdoor weather, and the rather large outdoor covered patio. We'll have to try the outdoor patio one day. There is a small tv on one of the walls, which plays "Americas Funniest Videos" type videos on it. There is nice music in the background, not too loud. There are two All Gender Restrooms in the room. The colors in the restaurant are pink, blue, and black, with fun designs on the walls. The lamps on the ceilings are fun too. The staff is friendly, and very helpful. Now, onto the food. I ordered the Polish sausage. My husband had the black and blue burger. My mother-in-law had the turkey burger. My Polish sausage was good. The sweet potato fries were very good. My mother-in-law (who now lives with us, as my father-in-law passed away at the end of December, 2021), said her turkey burger was good. I tried my husband's black and blue burger - OH MY GOSH!!!! When we first walked in, the waiter told us the burgers were the best. OK, but you work there. My neighbor told us the burgers were the best around, OK. WOW!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! My husband's black and blue burger WAS one of the best burgers I have ever tasted!!! DARN!!! I should have ordered a burger!!! You betcha, the next time we are there, I'm skipping right to the burgers on the menu. WOW!!!!!! So, friendly staff, fun interior, great outdoor patio, parking a bit hard, but it's worth it, and WOW! on the BURGERS!!!!! Go just for the burgers!!!! See you there!

I loved the decor. The service was great. My husband loved his nachos and they were plentiful. I had a cheeseburger and it was too greasy. My fries were underdone. I was very surprised by the prices. I know everyone is struggling but $9 for a kids meal is too much.

Food was really good! Service was awesome. It was nice inside and patio was a nice place to sit. Really liked the music and just a really chill spot to relax and enjoy really good food.

What we thought was going to be a quick stop ended up bring a longer meal. Staff were friendly but service is a bit slow. There are several vegetarian gluten free options including g free buns, impossible burgers & a portabella sandwich. Order the brownie served warm in a cast iron skillet.

I'm here to talk about the Red Rocks Hot Chicken sandwich, and only the Red Rocks Hot Chicken sandwich. This thing is, hands down, the spiciest hot chicken sandwich in Denver. It's a mountain of crunchy brined chicken (thigh I think) and cheese, generously coated in what can only be described as satan's mouthwash. It looks deceptively like your standard chili crunch, but it's not. This stuff is distilled hell fire in the most delicious way imaginable. Oh, and the sandwich is topped with jalapeños. If your lips are chapped, at all, you're going know. It should be served with a waiver. Chiliheads, come try this sandwich if you dare.

This is one of those places that I think I wish I had found it sooner! The food was absolutely fabulous. The street corn is the best I've ever had - off the cob and bursting with flavor. Had a polish dog, something I don't usually have, and it was delicious. Fries were cooked to perfection- crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Not only is the food wonderful, but the atmosphere is a delightful gem with 50's pink & black diamond decor and a darling patio, making a a fun place to hang out. Staff was super friendly and accommodating even though I came in rather late in the evening, they were gracious and helpful. This restaurant has figured out the secret to a great dining experience and ticks all the boxes!

Don't sleep on this place. The food is great and the staff is excellent! We had brunch here a few weeks ago and the breakfast burrito rivaled anything people are waiting an hour for at other restaurants. We've also had the hot dogs and burgers and everything is as good as the menu description. It's a must-try.

We ordered over $60 of food & found hair in 2 separate dishes! In the chicken my wife ordered & in the Colfax loaded fries I ordered, both had gray human hair in there!! The street corn I ordered ended up coming in a cup with a lid & looked more like a soup like they just dumped a can of corn with a bunch of spices & sour cream in there!! Needless to say we could not finish eating & we were angry & disgusted!!! Never going there again.

Not2 bad. Don't know if they'll be back. I have been here a few times & it was a good food experience each time. However the spot hasn't been open in a few months so I'm not sure about they're status.

Just good. Not sure what else to say. Bring a hungry belly because it's big portions.

The Fax burrito is excellent. Very similar to a Cali burrito. Amazing hotdog selection. The Chicago Dog is very authentic

First meal actually eating at a restaurant in our Pandemic World. And it was wonderful!!! To sit on a great mid-century modern patio, tables safely-distanced, in the cool early evening in late May was delightful. It set the tone for a wonderful meal. Fun menu, with lots of things I'm looking forward to trying. Tonight I settled on the Westerley Creek sandwich, while husband had the Montbello burger. Both are amazing sandwiches with high quality meat. There are vegetarian options as well. We shared good sweet potato fries as well. Yummy sauces. Looking forward to many return trips.

I don't like to leave negative reviews of local businesses but my experience was so bad that I felt compelled. While there on a girls night I ordered a burger well done. I took one bite and it was rare on the edges (not even the center). When the server checked on us, I politely showed her and she politely agreed it was red and said she'd take it back and have the chef make a new one - great. All good so far. The new one comes. I cut it up and take a bite. Still very pink and not only that, while chewing I bite down on a gross chewy piece of gristly meat. I gag, immediately put my bite in my napkin and didn't eat any more. When the server came to take our payment, my friend asked her in surprise if she was planning on charging me for this $18 burger that was gross and cooked wrong both times. The server said she had to or she'd lose her job. We asked to speak to a manager. No manager on duty. The server said she'll call her. She comes back and tells me the manager said she doesn't care I have to pay bc they prepared the food and they can't lose the cost. She says the manager is from Chicago and maybe they just cook meat differently in Chicago bc people regularly say their burgers are too rare here. My friend and I were both quite taken aback. I asked if I could call the manager and explain myself Vs having it go through the server. The server wrote a phone number down for me for "Razz." I called. No answer. At that point another server came over and both told us we were required to pay for this meal, and that this was not their fault but the chefs fault. I did pay, of course, but both of us were so appalled by the service and food that we'd never go back. Also, aside from being raw and gristly, the meat was overall very poor quality - like bargain basement beef. The 8 tater tots that came with it were barely warm (verging on cold) and unseasoned. The meal as a whole was super gross and the burger was $18!!! I can go to Hopdoddy, Lowry Beer Garden, 5 Guys or In n Out for a far superior burger comparably priced or less.

I really wanted to like this place more. I met a friend for lunch on a saturday. It was a cute little place tucked away in a neighborhood you wouldn't expect it to be in. It had a super cute patio with an older gentleman playing the flute for entertainment which I thought was great. The pros-friend got a burger, which I think is the way to go here. The menu had burgers named after the neighborhoods in Denver which I thought was a nice touch. The menu had a ton of choices. The burger she ordered had a thin chorizo patty on top with tortilla strips and pork rinds. Which I felt like the pork rinds were overkill because you physically cannot eat the pork rinds on the hamburger because there was too much on top. She liked the burger and fries. Cons- we never got asked for refills and my food was not great. I ordered chicken and waffles. The Cole slaw was okay. The waffles were okay. The syrup came in small containers that clearly had been sitting on the shelf too long. They were the consistency of honey, thick and goopy. The chicken...was pink. The outside tasted really good but as I opened it up the inside of the chicken was pink and was not cooked all the way through...so I didn't eat it. The spicy sauce that came with the chicken tasted good, but it wasn't much of a sauce. It came in a super tiny container and was sugarized like it had been in there for way too long and was not a sauce consistency. If I were to try to eat that with my chicken I would have had to scoop it and it would have only lasted 2 bites and not all of the chicken...For $16 my meal was a complete disappointment. The only way I would go back is if I were in the area and there was nowhere else to go, I would try a burger and fries if that were the case.

Food was great and yummy, service was great they were so nice and kind. The ambiance was nice a cozy.
