I recently visited Carmelo Greco a Michelin starred restaurant in Frankfurt that specializes in authentic Sicilian cuisine. The overall experience was very positive, with a simple and elegant design that created a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor was understated but tasteful, allowing the focus to remain on the food and service.
The staff was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional. They made us feel comfortable throughout the meal, and their service was smooth and knowledgeable.
The highlight of the experience was definitely the wine, which complemented the food perfectly. The dishes themselves were beautifully presented, with plates that enhanced the visual appeal. The food was flavorful and showcased authentic Sicilian flavors, with each course building on the last in quality.
The desserts were good, but I would suggest that they consider offering traditional Sicilian treats like cannoli and cassata instead of macarons and entremets, which were still okay but didn’t quite match the authenticity of the rest of the menu.
Overall, this restaurant provides a refined and authentic Sicilian dining experience in Frankfurt. The combination of good food, excellent wine, attractive presentation, and a simple elegant atmosphere makes it a strong choice. I look forward to returning and trying more from their menu.
