Packing For A.

Google
I came here for a work party outside of their normal business hours at lunch time, so we had the whole place to ourselves. It was a beautiful restaurant with great service and quality food. The food did need some salt, and we asked for some and got the world’s smallest salt shakers and no salt would come out of them, but other than that it was great! I got the Raviol Vodka and it was pretty good. The bruschetta was spot on and the cannoli to end was the best cannoli I’ve ever had (though I wouldn’t say I have had a ton.)

Google
I have to say that I didn’t expect to be disappointed by my choice of entree. I try to like it but just couldn’t enjoy the chorizo in the lasagna. I also didn’t enjoy the cesar dressing on the side and its mayonnaise taste. The service was A+ Not sure I want to drive almost 1hr again to give it a second try.

Google
The atmosphere there is one of my favorites. They had it decorated beautifully for Christmas. And the food and service are always top notch! The lasagna is out of this world.

Google
Carmine's tries so hard to be a five-star restaurant, but there are just a few things that are off. First and foremost their pasta is great, fresh, well cooked and creative. We weren't able to try the pizza because their pizza chef was gone so there was no pizza being served that night, which is a fairly large chunk of the menu. Their starters (antipasto) were really tasty and beautiful to look at. Our server was friendly, but not as attentive as I would have liked for this quality of restaurant. All in all it was a decent place for our company Christmas party. I will try them again at a later date to see if the pizza is of the same caliber as the pasta.

Google
We went here for my wife's birthday dinner and we're so glad we did. We had the Carbonara and the Margarita & pepperoni pizza. Both were great and the pizza was amazing. We also loved the atmosphere and the service. We will definitely be back!

Haydee F.

Google
Pizza was okay. This place is expensive for the quality and quantity. Be prepared to pay $6 for a fountain drink. They also charge the same for refills and that would have been nice for the waitress to tell me. I wasn’t pleased when I asked for the refill to go and they gave it to me in a kids paper cup. Would not recommend coming.

Google
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Our waitress Katelynn was very accommodating as was the rest of the wait staff.

Google
Even though there were 36 high schoolers that came to eat before a dance service was great. We were met with apologies but staff never skipped a beat. We were served quickly and the food was delicious. So grateful we found our new Italian favorite.

Yelp
I visited Carmine's for a girls night out and the vibe was perfect! They were so accommodating in pulling together tables for the group and creating a special space for us. The waiters messed up one drink order but fixed it right away, their service and attentiveness were outstanding. I ordered a mocktail, very yummy, and the salmon ravioli which was delicious. I honestly could have eaten two more plates, it was that good. The lobster sauce balanced the salmon filling beautifully and the chunks of salmon on top were so moist and flavorful. Everyone else liked their food as well and we all want to go back! Overall, a really wonderful experience. Fyi, for larger groups (we had 8), they do attach a 20% gratuity.

Yelp
Carmine's was that the exact experience you image when heading to an Italian restaurant. Pasta, pizza, big entrees and tasty desserts. For this visit we tired the pizza and some appetizers but they had a number of other items that were extremely appealing like the Tagliatelle Porcini and Chicken Cacciatora. Not to mention it was all reasonably priced. The service was great however we around 6 on a Friday so they weren't busy. It was us and a few extra family's so I'm not sure how well it is while it's packed.

Yelp
We came here for a birthday dinner with friends on a Friday. We were seated as our whole party arrived for our reservation The alcoholic beverages could've been a bit stronger, and they took a bit of time to get out, but in understand Fridays are busy, but maybe I just wasn't feeling it because I'd already eaten a ton of bread, haha. Always a plus to see an Aperol Spritz on the menu though, my favorite. Our food was a little hit and miss. My friend's clam pasta had the workings of an amazing dish, but it needed salt and more lemon to really make the flavors punch. Our ravioli was incredible, but might I suggest a slightly larger serving size to really be filling. The Quattro Formaggi pizza was good, but not the most memorable dish of the night. That was my friend's lasagna. That gets 10 stars. Also 10 stars to the lemon cake. It was incredible. Our server was charismatic.

Yelp
SOOO GOOD!! This was my first time going here with my husband and it was amazing! Way better than those other Italian restaurants like Sicilia Mia (overrated). We got the bruschetta- delicious! So many flavors going on at once. My husband got one of their pizzas! So good!! The crust is so light and yummy. I got their seafood linguine with a white lobster sauce- YUMMM! I still dream about this dish. It was creamy, not too fishy, and just heavenly. The service was perfect! They were quick, efficient, and welcoming. They were quick to give recommendations and opinions. The ambiance was so chill and just a great date night vibe! I loved the seats along the windows. I recommend making a reservation for eating here because I could see how it can get busy. We will be returning soon to try more dishes!!

Yelp
I've combined the two visits we've had here into one review. Both visits were great and the waiter and service has been extremely nice and pleasant. The first time we went I ordered the Tagliatelle Funghi Porcini and I my stomach have issues with creamy things stuff sometimes so I felt a little queasy afterwards but it doesn't take away from how good it tasted!! The gnocchi I felt like was a little small of a portion but still the taste was really nice. The glass of wine I had was lovely as well. Chocolate mousse cake wasn't too overwhelming and had a pleasant taste as well. The atmosphere is really cute and romantic especially in the evening.

Yelp
This place is located in a somewhat strange location. It has a ski shop next door , a dental clinic across the street , I think some other small business around it, then a neighborhood directly behind it. It's pretty steep , the parking lot is at an angle so use your parking brake! Haha. It was our first time but we were not impressed enough to say we will ever be back. Sadly, it only LOOKS high end -with its fancy tables that had cloth tablecloths and wine glasses for water but the food clearly did not go with the decor. There appeared to be one worker- he was the host who became also the waiter. I think only one person in kitchen too. It was dead. One table of two women were finishing up when we got there for our lunch. Btw- if you do choose to try this place, go at lunch. It was a Friday and it was dead, no music either! And there is a lunch menu that is cheaper than the dinner. Food- waiter quickly filled our fancy glasses with water. He presented us with a small plate with 4 small slices of white French bread. We ordered the lunch special: 14.99 for a pizza (there was like 4 to choose from) and a soda. For pasta, we tried the ravioli with Vodka sauce. The waiter was not very good with English -when we tried to make small talk with him or asked questions (example: what kind of bread is this? His answer: it's made in house) When I requested more bread , he finally brought over a bread basket instead of the small salad plate he first placed on the table. The food was FORGETTABLE. I was disappointed because this was our belated Valentine date. For one thing: the food was only SLIGHTLY WARM. Not hot and fresh. I don't know how the pizza could get so cold that fast? He brought over some Parmesan and crushed red pepper but which fresh parm on the pasta , you would like they would offer fresh parm as the extra to top the pizza with. Even Olive Garden waiters bring over their Parmesan cheese graters and grate fresh cheese onto our dishes! The waiter told me the kitchen closes at 2 and they reopen for dinner. It looked as tho he were the only employee there, and although he did not rush us, he also hovered just within enough distance to keep an eye on us to see if we were finished eating - so he can ask us if we needed boxes and the check. No offer of dessert - maybe because the kitchen was already closed by that time. One and done for us with this place. Joe: My wife is always in search for good Italian food. She had this saved on Yelp and thought we would try it for our late Vday Date. From the reviews being up and down, we decided it was best to try at lunch because it was cheaper. There was even a lunch special - pizza and soda for $15. We walked in and there seemed to only be one employee. The only other customers were two women who were finishing up their lunch. It was a Friday afternoon- so it was weird there weren't more people. Also the location was strange. Almost tucked away in the front of a neighborhood, with some local businesses. The food was just ok. We definitely thought it could be warmer. The pizza lunch special was ok but u cannot create your own pizzas- you have about 4 to choose from. We choose one with ham/artichokes/ mushrooms and olives. The mushrooms were 100% canned so that was disappointing- especially since the restaurant atmosphere was aiming for elegant/fine dining. The pasta we choose needed to be warmer, but it was a decent size for a lunch. The vodka sauce was good and my wife commented again on how it would be so much better if it was hotter. The place was eerily quiet. Not even any music. And with only the one employee in sight, we felt a little bit uncomfortable, like we should hurry. When we asked the server if they closed for lunch, he said yes. And apparently we arrived just 30 mins before lunch service ended.

Great spot for a nice celebratory dinner! Dishes were all wonderful with exceptional flavor. Staff is professional and accommodating.

Yelp
This is a nice very upscale Italian restaurant. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. For an appetizer, we ordered the burrata. I'm not a fan of tomatoes but this appetizer was fantastic and it was so fresh. We also ordered the ravioli salmone which is lobster ravioli. So good and the sauce was delicious! We ordered the bigoli allo scoglio. It was a more pricy dish but really filling. It's pasta with clams, shrimp, mussels and half a lobster tail. If you are a seafood lover I recommend this dish. It's a perfect pasta and seafood combo. My favorite dish we ordered was the carbonara. It was filling, the sauce was great, it was topped with crispy bacon and pecorino and the perfect amount of black pepper and Parmesan cheese. The presentation of all the meals are amazing!

Yelp
Recently tried Carmine's for the first time. I was very impressed with the service and the atmosphere. The gelato and Italian lemon cream cake were incredible! There are a few things that would have given this place five stars: the Caesar salad should was not tossed/dressed, and on the margarita pizza, the sauce was pretty thin and only had one piece on basil on the top.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in SLC! Some of the best Italian food I've ever had - the carbonara is to die for. The service is always friendly and incredibly. I love that it's family owned. My partner has a soy allergy and we have heard our server go back and ask Carmine himself about the dish!

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. Not too busy or too loud. Will go again when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Came here for a wine event just before the holiday season began. Dinner was prearranged so didn't get to play with the menu, however the predetermined course and wine pairing were spot on. I do love wine and whiskey and as for the wine they did well in the dinner pairing. Ended up purchasing a couple house made blends to have over the holidays and they were well received. Off the beaten path if your not east bench located but worth making a reservation Definitely need to make a return visit without the group setting

Yelp
Carbonara was alright, I usually can down a plate but this one was kind of heavy. Not sure if the bacon was extra greasy or what. My friend got the lasagna which was great! Wish it had a larger portion. For dessert we got the chocolate mousse cake, which I am 99% sure is the one from costco haha but it was delicious either way-- maybe not for the price though. the tiramisu was also good but i've definitely had better. Our waiter was a little aggressive, probably not intentionally but it was hard to ask questions. the place wasn't as busy but had lots of open seating and not cramped which was nice.

Yelp
Dependably good. Had their Chef Special pizza and a Caesar on this visit. Just right!

Yelp
Went for lunch last Friday for my wife's birthday. We have ordered BBQ octopus from around the world and when we bit into this it was just like a mouthful of rubber bands... the worst of the worst, so they took this off our bill. I had the pizza being a connoisseur of pizza making. Everything looked fine until I picked it up and it went limp. Bottom was somewhat brown and the all white pizza was to runny on top. Not cooked & charred to maintain it's stature when picking it up. Wife said her Seafood Combo was O.K., but the noodles were to large for this type of dish, however the broth was delicious. Waiter service was very good and friendly.

Yelp
We saw all the good reviews and decided to give this place a try. Overall we were pleased with our experience but it wasn't our favorite. We got the 4 formaggi pizza ($17) which was solid. The crust could have been cooked a bit more but overall had good flavor. We also ordered ravioli ($27) and that was a bit underwhelming on the flavor. The complimentary bread was really good. They try to provide a "fancy" feel to the restaurant but both the location and decor doesn't reinforce that style. I think that's an attempt to also justify the prices. For what it is, the prices were on the high end for what you get. The staff were awesome. They only had one server working which made it a little slow of an experience.

Yelp
I was hoping for great Italian Food but it was such a disappointment ! The calamari and sauce lacked seasoning and taste was bland. The Carbon-a was runny and egg was not cooked not cheesy at all and too much bacon not a great balance very hard to eat with no flavor! My husbands spaghetti and clams very plain and no taste. Very disappointing !!! Tiramisu was great!!! Wine selection was small and expensive ! We waited 20 min before we finally got someone's attention and he wasn't even our waiter and did not realize we had not been waited on. He was great and very nice and attentive! I would never go back ! Nice restaurant inside too bad food was lacking something like good Italian taste!!!

Maddie C.

Yelp
I never leave reviews especially poor ones. However, this was one of the worst resturant experiences my husband and I have had in a while. The ambiance was beautiful! And the staff was very kind and kept checking on us! However, the food was sub-par. My husbands pizza was soggy into the crust and fell apart as he was eating it due to too much sauce. He picked it up and it was floppy, the cheese and toppings slid off before he could even take a bite. The crust in the middle was mushy and liquid pooled onto the pizza tray due to the fact that it was undercooked. My carbonara was fine, the noodles were a bit hard and there was so much guanciale in the sauce that it was a bit overpowering, not to mention that the guanciale meat was a dark brown/grey color. At first it looked like a mushroom. The appetizers were fine. Everything seemed to be underprepared or undercooked. It was such a beautiful atmosphere, it was sad to feel that the food did not live up to the space:/

Yelp
My co worker and I dined here on 7.26.2023 for an early dinner after a productive work day. I made reservations in advance but they weren't necessary because the restaurant wasn't packed at all. Love that there was already ice water at the table when we were seated and they immediately brought out complimentary bread. Our waiter was Brendan. He was ok - we ordered a salad and pasta dish to share. It's not a big deal, but service is everything to me. So, if we're sharing meals, wouldn't you (as the waiter) anticipate, or even ask to bring out sharing plates? Again, not a big deal to most people (but it's something worth mentioning - and no, I didn't knock off a Yelp star for that). My co-worker is allergic to gluten so she asked the waiter if they had any options for gluten free pasta dishes. Surprisingly we were informed that they could prepare any of the pastas gluten-free! So we ordered the Fettuccine alla Bolognese. After the pasta we ordered the Cheesecake Crema Brule. It was soft, fresh and really good! The service is good... it could be elevated but overall good and it's fast. Parking is in a shared lot and there were plenty of spots open when we arrived at 5pm on a Wednesday. If you're in the mood for good Italian food (looks like their pizzas are really popular), then I highly recommend you check out Carmine's.

Yelp
This is the closest Italian restaurant near my place, so we drop by here once in a while yearly. The atmosphere is very cute! I guess it is a perfect place for date night, but we always went as a family for dinner. Always had awesome experiences with their services, very friendly and helpful staff. Food is delicious and the portion size is not bad. Definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Yelp
I always get takeout here--I haven't sat down and had a meal in house (yet). But here's my takeaway on my experience thus far. The food is good! Fantastic, even. I always get the salmon ravioli. It comes in a luscious sauce, topped with caviar. The crusty bread is delicious, too. But I will say, the ravioli only comes with six pieces, which is not very many considering how much the dish costs.

K B.

Yelp
The overall atmosphere was great. Everyone enjoyed their food, and it wasn't too expensive for what you got. Service was also quick and lovely for a Saturday night. Try the Crème Brûlée!

Yelp
I came to Carmine's to celebrate my Italian sister in-laws birthday. The restaurant was beautiful and is a perfect setting for a fancier type of dinner. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We had a huge party of two tables and they handled everything wonderfully. Carmine's is more expensive but there were many stand out dishes such as the bruschetta appetizer that had 6 different types of tomatoes, a base of roasted tomatoes paste, herbed diced tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, tomato mayo, candy tomatoes and tomato powder with balsamic glaze and basil mayo. It was a fun twist on the classic bruschetta! The Bigoli allo Scoglio was a seafood pasta dish with such a fun presentation and delicious taste! The only dish we ordered that I didn't love was the Chicken Cacciatora. The chicken was dry and there wasn't anything special about the dish. Next time I go to Carmine's I will stick to the cream based pastas because those were all delicious! All in all this place is a great Italian place to celebrate any of special occasions!

Yelp
Overall do not recommend this restaurant. We went for a friend's birthday and had a server called Brandon (?). He was rude and overall was a bad server. We had to constantly look for him and ask for things multiple times because he was always gone even though the restaurant was completely empty. He also had an attitude when it came to any of our requests which at one point led us to decide it wasn't worth asking him for things. 20% gratuity was included in our bill because of our group size which was apparent he knew and therefore did not care about the quality of service he provided because he was going to get a large tip either way. All of us also got charged extra and we had to go up to correct the error with him Instead of apologizing he looked more annoyed that he was going to have to correct everything. Overall very rude server and definitely did not deserve to be tipped 20%. The food was alright. Overall taste was good (but not great) but considering the steep prices we were expecting much better or at least better portions. We ordered essentially everything on the menu and there wasn't really a stand-out option so you can really go wrong with your choices but also it won't be bad with whatever you choose. The location wasn't bad. The lighting was very low and "moody" but as expected from Italian restaurants so I cannot complain about that. There was a good amount of parking which is nice and it seems like you can sit outside and inside. It was really quiet in the restaurant but that could be because it was empty but maybe some light music would be nice. Regardless the ambiance wasn't bad and definitely not the worst aspect of our trip so I cannot complain about it too much. Overall I wouldn't recommend this restaurant there weren't any stand-out aspects that would outshine the bad experience we had to change our minds about any of us coming back or recommending this space.

Yelp
I have mixed emotions about my visit to Carmine's. I believe that photographs of the food on a restaurant's menu means that's close to what you'll receive. Especially with such steep prices. The portions of the salad and the soup we received were both quite small, and didn't look like what's featured on their menu. The Carmine pizza was excellent. I'd recommend that over anything else we ordered. The gnocchi was decent, but pricey. ($23!) The Margherita pizza was nice, but wasn't as advertised initially. (It didn't come with the fresh mozzarella as featured, and we had to ask for it by showing the menu photo. The waitress was hesitant at first but then went and got it for us....) Our waitress was a really nice lady. Even though we were the last and only table, service was slow -- we wondered if it was intentional as to not rush us? Maybe don't expect fast service unless you express that to the staff. :) According to Yelp, we saw that Carmine's allows casual dress -- however the other patrons were dressed up quite a bit more than the shorts, sandals and T-shirt my husband was wearing. I would recommend "corporate casual" or dressier attire. Not basic casual... They use a QR code for their online menu. Here's the link, accessed 8/2023. https://tmt.spotapps.co/contactless-menu/?spot_id=73216&images=yes&accordion=true

Yelp
Made reservations for three on a Saturday. We received our appetizers rather quickly. Waited almost a full hour for pizzas. Waiter only checked on us a few times for water the entire hour. No check ins to let us know of any delays. Radio silence. Then came the pizzas. My son and I ordered two pepperoni pizzas. They were the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. I was starving so I was able to eat three pieces of soggy gooey grossness. Absolutely awful. We asked to speak to the manager. Showed her the pizzas and she agreed they were undercooked. Still had to argue to get half off one pizza. Not going back. This place is bad

Yelp
Came here again! This place does not disappoint. A few of my favorites. Steamed mussels, four cheese gnocchi. I happen to get the porcini ravioli every time! They have a great cocktail menu!

Yelp
Super short wait on a Saturday at 7:30. Quick attentive service. All the food was good. The caprese was simple and fresh. I got the gluten free Fetuccine allo scoglio and the lobster sauce was so rich and creamy and cheesy and good. It was fun to try all the different seafood too. And the gf penne was cooked nicely! My friend got the salmon ravioli and loved it. And we shared crème brûlée cheesecake for dessert (I just avoided the crust) and it was a nice way to finish the meal! I liked the crunch sugar topping!

Yelp
Food was decent but service was bad. Could def find better Italian experiences. And very expensive

Yelp
To this day I'm still not quite sure if this is the same carmine's as the fine Italian chain, which has locations in Las Vegas, NYC and Washington D.C. Because we did come at a different time (thanks covid) and most restaurants are still running a limited menu. My husband and I came for my birthday, which we indicated the celebration in our reservation but we were not greeted with happy birthday, it seems as if they did not know. So, don't get me wrong, I'm not entitled to think they need to give us any specials because of the birthday, but typically I expect a fine dining location to at least give you a warm personalized welcome, afterall fine dining is as much about the service as it is the food. Speaking of the service... I actually asked the manager, who was also working as a waitress at the same time that night, if they were short staffed. She was very offended by that questions and insisted they were "just fine", despite our slow service throughout the night. I'm not a stranger to seeing managers working the floor to help when things are busy, but this night, she waited 4-5 tables alone and from our perspective seemed a little overwhelmed. We had calamari for appetizer, it was good but nothing too special. The portion was tiny. The bolognese was bright and acidic, it's honestly pretty good! But the sauce overwhelmed the small amount of pasta so we ended up asking for more bread. We also were splitting a surf and turf (filet mignon and lobster tail) along with the pasta after seeing it on several review pictures here on yelp. Low and behold the dish arrived with only half a lobster tail! I reopened the pictured menu and Yelp and looked at all the previous pictures which showed two halves of lobster tail. When the manager/waitress asked if things were going well, I raised my question about the lobster tail being shorted. She tried to say that it's because when it's a larger tail, then they would only give you one instead of two, despite even on the menu, there's a picture of two tails. After seeing the tail on our plate is actually pretty small (that's where it was funny bc it was 2-3oz at most), she seemed a little flustered and offered to put in a second half for us, but we'd have to wait a little longer. While the food was decent, the service was average at best. Perhaps it will get better once things get back to normal after covid.

Yelp
As is typical in most cities, there are so many Italian restaurants in SLC, it was really hard to choose...but I went with this because of its high ratings. Well, the place itself was nice enough...somewhat spacious and sleek. In fact, I noticed that they displayed an award for winning the "Best Atmosphere" in Utah from some source. But honestly? It was nice, but can't believe this was considered THE nicest in Utah. Sorry! Let's start with possibly our missing waiter/waitress. It seemed to me that the Manager or the Owner (or his wife?) took the place of a waiter/waitress in serving our table...so it was somewhat weird. Not your typical service, let's just say. It was obvious that she was having quite a time, probably standing in for possibly a sick waiter/waitress. She seemed quite frantic to me...and it did not do much to make our dining experience relaxing. There were long delays...and at one point, she even came back to our table to reconfirm our orders. So yeah...just weird. Then the food. I will say that the food was good, but way too expensive for what they were. We ordered the Fried Calamari, the 4-Cheese Pizza, their "award winning" Lasagna, and the meatless Papardelle. Again, they were indeed delicious...but not delicious enough for its ridiculous price points. Even the presentation was nothing special. Must mention more weirdness. Our appetizer, Fried Calmari, was a rip. While costing $17, this was just your basic Fried Calmari without shrimp, despite its description on the menu. Now, if there WERE shrimps, might have been just 2-3 pieces. I certainly didn't have any shrimp, and even my husband says he didn't see or taste any shrimp! Even the overall portion was way too small. Also, my $28 meatless entree, the Papardelle al Porcini (Mushrooms) was a tad too basic. Think we just expected more for what we paid for these items. If the pricing was reasonable (or as described on the menu!), I might have given this better ratings, but think both my husband and I left feeling a bit ripped. Plus, our service was totally off...frantic or absent, with one delay after another. Think we stayed at least 30 minutes longer than we had hoped. My overall impression? Over-rated and Over-priced. Nope...I don't care to return here ever.

Yelp
Terrible. So much garlic on the penne ala vodka. It overpowered the entire dish and left me with a tummy ache. Too bad. I was optimistic.

Yelp
I'm moaning. Their gnocchi formaggi is heavenly. So cheesy. Takeout came with fresh hot bread and even a sprig of rosemary. Worth every penny of $23 + $2 tax and every calorie (don't want to know).

Yelp
We came here for my birthday, and they were very accommodating last minute for a party of 20 people. The food was delicious and the service was great, they were very polite and let us stay a little after close.

Yelp
Food was just ok. We brought our kids 8, 8, and 10. It was clear they do not like kids. I wish I'd known before we decided to try this restaurant because we would have avoided it. Our kids are well behaved and I was surprised at the animosity just from walking in the door. I could understand them being annoyed if they were loud or disruptive. Given how unhappy children make them, Utah probably isn't a good fit considering they are in a neighborhood of youngish families. If you have kids this is a skip.

Yelp
Always fantastic food and service. The staff is top notch and extremely accomodating. Never had anything on the menu that wasn't great.

Yelp
First time at Carmines. The ambiance is really nice and the decor is very modern and understated. The chicken parmigiana was highly recommended by our server so we decided to share it as we were not very hungry. The chicken was not breaded but rather grilled. This made it lighter than your traditional parmigiana. The spaghetti was very tasty with a light tomato sauce. We decided to split Tiramisu for dessert which I wish was more chocolaty and less creamy but it was still a nice finish to the meal. I recommend this restaurant for a night out/try something new and will be back to visit.

Yelp
Did a to go order since this place wasn't too far from where I live and I'm a first timer. I am majorly a "homemade pasta" lover, enough to occasionally cheat on my veganism for some meat sauce. Gave the bolognese a whirl.. showed up on time and they didn't know about my order.. Took it again and said to wait 10 minutes...Ummm no biggie. Finally got the goods and headed home.. Upon first bite I was not expecting to be greeted vividly by a childhood memory.. of dare I say... THE Chef Boyardee? I'm not sure if they just rushed to throw mine together.. out of an actual can?... Or maybe Chef B was really back there...

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and service. The fried calamari was very well prepared. The ragu served with it was ice cold, which my wife was not a big fan of. I had the meat lover's pizza which was supposed to be to be a margheritta style with 3 meats. It only came with one small sprig of basil and could have used more for a fresh green flavor.

Yelp
We went back again for our anniversary. Another outstanding experience. This is our favorite fine dining restaurant in the Cottonwood Heights area.

Yelp
There aren't many restaurants in the area that provide food that is close to what you find in Italy but this one hits the mark. The Appertivi plates are excellent I like the burrata and the bruschetta plates best. Just like in Italy the menu is segregated into Ptimi and Secondi plates. Everything I've tried has been excellent. The pizze is very similar to what you find in Italy. They also have an excellent wine selection. I recommend the Carmine labeled Chianti. Service is fast efficient and friendly. The ambiance is casual classy. Perfect spot for celebrations or cozy dinners.

Yelp
Went here as a guest for a private party, in total there was 21 of us. The server was pleasant and well mannered, unfortunately they had only one server for the entire party. Which means taking orders took quite some time a long with a delay receiving drinks and bread service. Beyond the first paragraph, the food isn't advertised as the pictures. The lasagna was given as a soup (unexpected) full of grease. The pasta was bland no flavor/seasonings, and no side veggies were included. I had fun, vibes are nice here but over all I would've preferred Olive Garden.

Yelp
I'm so sad about this place. I reviewed it 6 years ago and it was so good! We loved it! The food was delicious, the service was amazing... we couldn't believe it. My husband and I have been to this place a few times over the years and sadly, each time it got progressively worse. Last night was pretty bad. The food was bland, service was ok and there was no music. Felt like a cafeteria. We were seated and greeted with 4 thin slices of bread and 2 packs of butter. They used to have sourdough bread and flavored butter that they put in little serving dishes. It was disappointing. I ordered the filet, it was the special. The filet was good, but served on a mushroom sauce that was basically salty gravy, with a side of vegetables drowning in oil and butter. My husband ordered the salmon and it was just a slab of fish on a bed of arugula. No glaze, no presentation, nothing. Super dry. We had no desire for dessert we just wanted to leave. I don't know if ownership changed, if their chef quit or what... but it's not the same as it used to be.

Yelp
Food was great. The tiramisu was the star of the show for sure though. Best and most moist tiramisu I've ever had. The servers were great. friendly, and helpful. We were seated on the second floor which, to be honest, was a little underwhelming. Did not look great, but the food and service more than made up for it. Would recommend!

Yelp
this place is so good and so yummy. It gives you a very good Italian feel and it makes you feel as if you're eating gnocchi straight from italy. The lasagna is to die for if you do not get the lasagna you are missing out if you don't wanna have FOMO you better get the lasagna.

Yelp
Wow! This place blew my mind! I felt like I was walking along the streets of Italy and stumbled upon this restaurant. The decor, the ambiance and the service all reminded me of my experience in Italy, without the sitting fees *wink*. The food is delicious and everything is made in house. The gnocchi is probably my favorite of the night next to the carbonara. The salmon I ordered was cooked perfectly! The sauce that was used for the mussels was amazing! I'm not a fan of mussels, but that sauce made everything taste great! Don't pass up the bruschetta either! The tomatoes were so fresh! The calamari was a bit too "bready" for me, but others drowned it with the sauce. Definitely coming back here to dine again! Thank you so much for bringing Italy to Utah!
