The service here was fine as I ordered take out. But, the food was very dissapointing. As you can see portions were so tiny that for the price, seemed cheap. I had pasta that is not pictured but was average at best. Nothing stands out and I would never eat here again even if I stayed at the hotel. Because there are so many restaurants in the area, try one of those and save yourself the dissppointment.

The steak frites & the strawberry tiramisu are standouts. Love the new redesign & menu! The chocolate brownie for desert was good as well. Order the tiramisu well in advance as those seem to take an extended time to bring to the table. We ordered it after 3 separate meals and it took a while.

If anyone remembers the tired old night club/lounge that used to be here, you won’t recognize the space. They completely remodeled and configured the whole place and made a huge upgrade. The atmosphere if on point to complement Tia Carmen. The food across the board was excellent. Between creativity, flavor, presentation, just perfect. They really did a great job reimagining this restaurant but it helps with a great chef. Def a good closing spot for a date and I will be back.

Beautiful establishment with excellent service. Carmocha is gorgeous, with delightful dishes and fantastic bar staff. Omar and Carlos did an excellent job making my drinks and my food was on point. Thank you so much for a fantastic evening!

Google
The “bucket of chicken “ was probably the smallest 1/2 chicken that you could possibly find, but on top of that it was probably cooked at least an hour or more prior to ordering. Mediterranean salad was good and the two once again incredibly small deviled eggs were also good. How do you actually get “small” eggs. Hard pressed to recommend this restaurant for any reason. Wait staff just took your order and gave you the bill.

Google
I waited an hour and still didn't get my food, not even my appetizer. I was seated at 9pm and got up and left at 10pm with nothing but a water on my table. I'd give zero stars if possible. The environment was nice though.

Dinner last night with my wife was incredible. We ordered the burrata salad, sticky pork ribs (two orders because the first was so good) and the salmon entree. Restaurant was gorgeously redone and the food was perfect.

My family and I just wrapped up our meal at this restaurant. We have been in palm springs for five days and this restaurant is both the least and most memorable. After being sat and ordering, it became apparent that our deviled eggs, which were incredibly overpriced, would take a while. In fact, all in, from the time we ordered our entrees, to receiving each one piece meal and my entree cold, it was about an hour. Keep in mind, we arrived at 5:30 and were told the kitchen was backed up (before prime dinner time). Although other tables were offered complimentary drinks and appetizers, my bill came with a “we took off your drink.” I actually had to ask to have the appetizer removed. So the most memorable in that the experience stuck out as horrible, and the least memorable as my food was cold. I have never had to ask for something to be taken off a check- despite it being offered (and rarely, very rarely do I spend my time leaving such a bad review). This restaurant should be avoided. I plan to also spend more of my vacation time calling tomorrow. The sad thing is, the other four tables seated around us waited longer by the time my family had left.

Yelp
Not the experience I was expecting from a restaurant inside a Grand Hyatt. Our waitress, an older Hispanic woman (unfortunately I didn't catch her name), was polite but service overall was noticeably slow. The deviled eggs were disappointing -- they barely tasted "eggy" and were paired with a strange salad that was basically just cilantro or parsley, which overwhelmed the dish. The burrata salad was heavily overpowered by sherry vinegar. We mentioned it to the waitress, but she didn't make any effort to address the issue, which was surprising given the hotel's upscale reputation. On the brighter side, the steak frites was actually very good, cooked well and nicely seasoned. However, dessert took an unusually long time to arrive, which only added to the sense of slow service. Overall, Carmocha had a couple of highlights but fell short of expectations for a Grand Hyatt dining experience. With sluggish service and dishes that missed the mark, it lands at a 3-star experience for me.

Yelp
Menu option very limited. Food is ok, definitely can't compare with Tia Carmen (even though they shared the same executive chef). Service is ok, a bit rush. They put down the check for us before we even finish the dinner. A bit rush to me as the restaurant is only half full. If Tia Carmen opens, you should definitely headed to that restaurant right across from this one. For a quick bite, just grab something at the poolside cafe. I will bypass this one.

Yelp
Waiters was nice. Atmosphere was nice. Menu is very limited. We ordered a bucket of fried chicken with three dipping sauces. The menu said "half a chicken." I was assuming (my fault) a breast, wing, thigh and leg. We got four thighs. The breading was typical, it was a soy sauce of some sort. That information would have been useful on the menu as my friend chicken loving kid would have passed. Hubby ordered chicken katsu. It was good. 24.oo for 4 pieces of chicken, 9.00 for fries and the katsu was 24. We're staying at the hotel. We'd love to have stayed on property but with one option for dinner, its limited.

Yelp
Last Saturday, I came here for dinner after attending the Miss California USA pageant event. All the dishes were delicious. I was starving! We were a party of 7 and we shared everything. I love trying a variety of foods here. Everything was great! Our server was awesome checking in on us from time to time. I would come back if I am in town again.

Yelp
We went here for dinner while we were staying at the Hyatt since it was one of the only sit down places opened on a Monday. Upon entering we were in passing told it was open seating as someone kinda of walked away as we found our seats. The waiter was slow to come around, walked away before completing the drink order, was hard to track down and slow to come back to grab the check. It was not terribly busy at that time so not sure if this is their norm or maybe general under staffed. The food was good, and we all really enjoyed our meals. We ordered the deviled eggs with caviar, fried chicken buckets, kids pasta, chicken Katsu and steak frites and all were really well prepared. I think if they had more staff and better trained it would really elevate the experience. The experience wasn't terrible but I think I expected a little better service wise.

Yelp
Deviled eggs and CRISPY POTATOES = mind blown! The deviled eggs had the creamiest yolk, and those crispy potatoes? Absolute perfection. Drinks were on point, and the service was top-tier--friendly, fast, and super welcoming. What an incredible desert restaurant and bar--the vibe, the flavors, the staff... all amazing. Already planning my next visit!

Yelp
I've had nothing but incredible experiences at this restaurant! The bartenders are always so sweet and make sure you're well attended to, regardless of how busy they get! The atmosphere can range from busy and loud to mellow and chill - it really depends on if the hotel has a large group in house or not. One thing is for sure, the food is amazing. The fish sandwich during lunch service is my incredible but my favorite dish for dinner is hands down the steak and frites!

Yelp
I thought this place wasn't gonna be great because of the poor reviews but it was amazing. We ordered the gyro, Mediterranean salad and the kids had the tomato cheese pasta and a burger and they both said they would rate it 10 stars. Food was amazing, bartender was greattt! Just ask for Jesse and he'll make you the best drink. Loved the odd couple drink. A must try!!!

Yelp
This place is so expensive for what it is. As a heads up a mocktail is the same price as a cocktail, $18. I wish I would have known that before ordering, that is outrageous. We didn't eat at the resort after this, would recommend going out to eat somewhere else. My husband and I shared a salad and an entrees, got a kids pizza for our daughter, a cocktail and mocktail was $130.

Yelp
Food was excellent, service fantasti! By Beverly and the bartender Jesse (mixologist) A+

Yelp
Terrible manager on duty at this restaurant. 1 star bar & restaurant and 1 star service toward well paying patrons. This hotel & restaurant claims to be dog friendly but the manager on duty came to us as we were sitting OUTSIDE the restaurant and RUDELY told us to remove our dog from the bench we were sitting on. We spent thousands of dollars at this resort and paid a high pet fee and this is how we were treated? Don't bring your well-behaved, beloved pet because they are not welcome in the lobby of the hotel near the restaurants. Air BNB instead not worth the headache or high price at this hotel or the Carmocha restaurant.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal and exceeded my expectations. The kids butter pasta was the best we've ever had (prob sampled 100 at this point in my life as a mom), the pasta was perfectly al dente. I ordered the Mediterranean salad thinking it would be a simple salad, but no it was not a simple salad. The freshness and the flavor pallet! Fresh dill, aerated feta(which I've never had) tons of fresh tomatoes! My husband got the chicken gyro and it was loaded with marinated chicken and a delicious sauce. Service was fantastic! Rocio was our server! I'm so sad we didn't take photos!

Yelp
I would pay attention to the reviews about wait times! We arrived at 530 and it wasn't busy. Took 20 minutes to get waters and be acknowledged at all. We put in our kids food and an app right away as other tables were getting seated. It took 40 minutes from order time to receive the food. At that point we had been there an hour. I flagged down the manager to let him know and he said he would bring fries for the kids to eat while they waited, which he never did. And rather than supporting his staff, he strolled around and picked up a few napkins and organized the silverware. The food was actually really good, but I don't know what is going on here. I think they share a kitchen with Tia Carmen, but after being open for a few months now you'd think they'd have it figured out. Don't come hungry and expect to spend a lot of time waiting.

Yelp
Menu was limited and one person in my party had a slightly different menu from the rest of us (same general items, just described differently, with slight variations... like one menu had the Cubano with chimmichurri and the other menus did not... server was confused and said "well if it came with it, it would be on the side" ... it did not arrive with any chimmichurri). Starters did not come as starters. Actually, two of the starters came AFTER the mains were dropped off. And the pork ribs had someone's long hair wound around it and baked into the spices. Totally unappetizing. Overall, really pretty bad for the price. Deviled eggs were a runny mess of mostly mustard and tarragon. Ribs we already talked about. Basket of fries was a basket of fries. Burrata salad had really old and pale tomatoes, it was watery and devoid of any flavor. Two stars for the Cubano sandwiches, which my teens said were good (granted, they also say Pop Tarts are good).

Yelp
Food was amazing you must order the fried chicken for appetizer! And Omar is the best server I would def come back for food and service

Yelp
Strawberry tiramisu was terrible. I think the strawberries went bad. It tasted sour and the bad strawberry juice just seeped into the whole thing

Yelp
Get the Moroccan turtle, the burger and pasta. All solid! The Moroccan turtle for dessert was the highlight actually. It's vegan which is surprising, but honestly it will probably be the most delicious thing you'll have.

Yelp
The Cuban Sandwich Was very good. The service was good, and the "Some like it hot" drink was amazing! The music and ambience was really nice during lunch.

Bjorn S.

Yelp
My wife got the salmon and it was raw. Once that happened, I think the server decided we weren't going to tip well and just stopped providing any service. The food was OK, but the service was poor (as we also found the service at Tia Carmen, which is in the same hotel right nextdoor). We waited about a half hour for desert and then when they brought it, they didn't bring silverware. There was just a lack of consideration and care for patrons.

Yelp
1 hour for buttered pasta and deviled eggs. Do not eat here until they get things figure out.

Gabe O.

Yelp
The fried chicken was very good. The seasoning in the batter and the crunch was very good. The fries were also well seasoned. The fried chicken came with 3 different sauces, barbecue, buffalo sweet and sour, and buttermilk ranch. The barbecue sauce was too acidic and the buffalo sweet and sour was a touch too acidic, the buttermilk ranch was the beat out of all of them, it was very thick and flavorful. The fried chicken came with 4 big pieces, a leg, thigh, drumstick, and the breast.

Yelp
We stayed at the Hyatt and low expectations in our FIRST visit there. Sometimes hotel restaurants aren't great. The food and service were so good we went back a second time. Drinks were delicious. Deviled eggs were our favorite. Salmon was cooked perfectly, braised short ribs with mashed potatoes sooo damn decadent. The burger and fries were as good as any burger and fries in the world. Staff sooo friendly and accommodating.

Rebecca K.

Yelp
We went on a Tuesday and they were busy! Jesse and Carlos at the bar worked great as a team and we had great service and drinks. It was a fun atmosphere and highly recommend for drinks and small plates. We had some fries with our drinks and they had a avocado ranch that was amazing!
