"Opened as the resort's long-awaited steakhouse by master butcher Dario Cecchini, this is Cecchini's first restaurant outside Italy and the biggest culinary draw at Baha Mar; locals and tourists alike flock here. Cecchini presided over the opening—singing folk songs, carving massive porterhouses and greeting guests in his Italian-flag suit—while day-to-day service is led by executive chef Thomas Griese (trained under Thomas Keller and Michael Mina) and sommelier Juan Gargano (formerly of Aldo Sohm and Casa Apicii), who curates an unrestrained list of rare wines. The dining room is sexy and rich, with a marble bar, plush banquettes and a massive cabinet displaying various aged meats like jewels. The menu ranges from a massive fruits de mer tower and wide charcuterie selection to an array of steaks—Kobe, Wagyu, Cecchini's Panzanese steak, a $245 Tomahawk—and even a steak katsu sandwich stuffed with caviar, all prepared to Cecchini's high standards that tastefully flirt with decadence." - Hannah Walhout Hannah Walhout Hannah Walhout is a senior editor at Travel + Leisure, where she edits the Discoveries section of the print magazine and develops longer stories focusing on food, wine, and spirits.
