Great authentic experience with salsa so wonderful I go out of my way to get them. Seriously, they have a variety of salsas, each with a different heat profile (a couple that aren't for the spicy babies) 😂 and they taste great mixed together. They have a market where you can purchase the salsa, cheeses, fruits, veggies, tortillas, and various drinks. We've been going here for years and find the birria tacos the best in the metro. We also love the tamales, fresh avocados, and the selection of meats you can buy by the pound.

This place was on my list of places that need to be tried out. Really did not measure up… Out of five different tacos that my wife and I ordered, they got the meat wrong on two of them. It seems like the woman taking the orders is frequently not getting them right, as we observed others getting the wrong meat as we did. The best of the meat was the pastor and the buche, which were OK to pretty good, but the rest of the meat was overcooked and tired. The supposed Carne Asada looked a hell of a lot more like ground beef. In some, not a place that I will come back to.

I ordered a burrito (asada), and tacos (carnitas/ lengua/ alpastor). The alpastor was the only on that had good flavors, the other three meats tast old/off. The serving of lengua was also very small and dry. Had high hopes for the food. The overall place has good selection and the home made tortillas smelled great.

Tortillas great. Market and cooking supplies many options. High on some food pricing. Worth a visit.

I have tears in my eyes. I moved here from Texas about two years ago, so naturally, when it comes to Mexican food I compare everything to Tex-Mex, it is a downfall of mine. When I first moved here everyone told me KC has amazing Mexican food and I have to check out a very popular Mexican spot over on Southwest Boulevard that starts with a P and ends with onaks. I went home and cried on my floor it was the worst food I’ve ever had. In that moment I swore off Kansas City Mexican food. Flash forward to today. I get on Reddit where a girl who also moved here but from Florida was speaking of San Antonions saying it was some of the best Mexican food she’s ever had. I pulled up the menu and everything looked amazing. So I started the 20 minute drive over there. Let me tell you. This is some of the best food I’ve not only had in Kansas City but some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, even better than Austin street tacos. The tamale literally brought tears to my eyes. It was moist, it was flavorful. It was perfect. 10/10. Amazing. Perfect. No notes.

Overall, the tacos were delicious to the point that those are considered flavor-bombs especially the al pastor tacos. The carne asada tacos were delicious too and it was a great deal since each taco was only less than $2 each before taxes. There was also a salsa bar with a good variety of salsas and toppings to choose from, a small section dedicated to groceries, and the store even sold some refrigerated salsas that the store made.

Delicious, authentic tacos! Loved the salsa bar: great varieties of salsas. They were all super tasty! We also got a pastor quesedilla that was amazing!!! No prices were posted, but tacos were about $2 each and the pastor quesedilla was $8. We tried pastor, asada, carnitas, and barbacoa. All had fantastic flavor, but I think my favorite was the pastor!
