This is the best around. The carnitas, pastor, the salsas. And the portions are huge. Excellent, excellent place!!!!

I’m always on the road working and finding gems like this one is always a pleasure. Some of the best Carnitas I’ve tried in Las Vegas. Handmade tortillas are always delightful, when you dine in the will serve you complementary chips and salsa, don’t skip it it’s mild but pairs wonderfully 🥰 The ingredients always taste fresh, yet the service is very fast, ideal for a quick bite. When I have a chance I do full meal, can’t go wrong with the enchiladas Michoacanas 😋 The green salsa is delicious but if you want spicy try the red one. Fresh aguas frescas and great customer service. Nothing like a family owned business 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

The cleanest most delicious carnitas I've had in Las Vegas. The cafe de olla delicious. Lots of cinnamon which I like. Salsas nice and spicy. Great cilantro and onions. I had the banana dessert thing and it was delicious. I love this place. It's great! The tortillas he has de Mano are so good

We come from across town just to eat here. They have our favorite queso birra tacos. We also get queso carnita tacos & they're all bomb. The enchiladas Michoancanas are also a favorite, along with the corn pancakes. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is always friendly, & personally we always pick up to go & everything is usually packaged nicely.

I’ve been here a couple times and it never disappoints. It’s always super clean and the customer service is amazing! There aguas are delicious and there tacos de papa are definitely my favorite!! Super creamy and flavorful.

Food was good, and the carnitas were authentic and very flavorful. I got there for a late lunch 2:45 My food was on the warm side, they didn't bring out the onion/cilantro, I had to request it.

Located in the northern part of Las Vegas, in a shopping strip, decided to try this place due to a TickTock video that my fiancé saw. We have always wanted to try the birria tacos and we thought why not! You can smell all the flavors upon walking in the restaurant. So chips and salsa came with the meal we had to order the rice and beans on the side because they did not have a combo to accommodate but it was worth the extra bucks . The rice was amazing I’ve never had Mexican rice with potatoes in it which was stimulating to my taste buds and the beans were very authentic you can tell they put a lot of love into their cooking. But the taco on the other hand was super greasy and disclaimer: (if you think the sauce is a flavorful dipping sauce you are wrong it is all fat complete pork belly grease so I would say stay away from the grease because it was already greasy) the taste was there I expected a little bit more. But that’s just me with my higher expectations overall I will definitely give it a three out of five only because the tacos are super greasy.

This place is delicious. I love their tamarindo drink. Torta was nice and big. My only complaint is the music is too loud and price for the torta was $17-18! 😬 The chorizo on the sope was also very grounded up and not enough salsa was brought out for the chips.

We went for breakfast as a family. The chilaquiles are delicious, got a bit of spice to it which is great Carnitas are on point. Tender and juicy! They serve big portions on the meals. Beans are well done and the rice is perfect. Ya se pueden casar muchachas The horchata is yummy too! You can tell they put extra love in it. Over all, pleased enough to spread the good word. Hopefully they never change a thing on the menu! The ladies are doing it their way!

Segunda vez aquí des San Francisco. Buen sabor casero. Arroz tiene saber de abuelita hecho como debe ser con jitomate y consomé. Muchos restaurantes mexicanos puro colorante de arroz. Aquí no! Siempre ando buscando comida para niños y aquí está muy rico. Café de olla es muy rico con canela y piloncillo: como debe de ser.

I have been eye balling this place for a while as its been sitting in my gotta try list. I was told by some friends and family this is a good spot to get some tacos and mexican food. I'm glad I finally gave this place a chance! I finally tried their birria as it's a section on their menu specializing their birria. I just wanted some tacos for the day and I'm glad I got to try it. Even as take out the cheese was still stringy, the meat was juicy and flavorful, the tortilla had a good crunch and the birria consomé was a good dip for the tacos. The limes I was given were not super ripe and hard to squeeze out the juice from but it still was fine. The Horchata was nice and refreshing to drink along side with the tacos. The cashier at the front taking orders answered any questions I had and was really patient with me while I ordered. The music was bumping inside and it seemed like a good sit down restaurant if you have the chance. Definitely a return from me and reccommending other friends and family who hasnt tried this place yet!

Food was amazing we ordered some queso birria tacos, a gordita and a carnitas plate with rice and beans. Love the homemade corn tortillas. All the food was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. Service was great. Someone always came by to check on us. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it gets packed but they handled everyone with patience and great customer service. It's a small spot but amazing food. Probably one of my new go to places now.

This was the first time I've been to a dedicated carnitas taco shop, and I thoroughly enjoyed their namesake. The carnitas taco platter I got was excellent. I went with the mixed meat tacos that I believe had buche and other parts of the pig besides the typical cuts. I enjoyed the various types of textures in the taco. They were topped with pickled onions and the whole taco had nice flavor and was very moist and juicy. The rice and beans were nice as side dishes. I ordered a large horchata. It was good, but I didn't like the garnish that was on the rim of the cup. It was powdered coffee creamer or something. My main gripe was the quesabirria tacos I got. They weren't bad, just super average. The meat wasn't really tender, not enough cheese, and no real flavor. The consomme wasn't anything special either, just broth; no bits of meat or onions and cilantro. The service from the staff was excellent. The menu was mostly in Spanish but they were kind enough to go over a number of items for me and make suggestions on what to order. I'll definitely come here again. I'll just stick to the carnitas as my meat choice going forward.

This is a small family owned restaurant. The inside is clean and bright and the service is super attentive. The food is colorful and fresh. We've been to this restaurant two or three times and we've ordered 1 pound of Carnitas to feed four of us which is perfect along with a few sides.

Ordered tacos dorados aka rolled tacos, a banana dessert, and a carnitas plate. My husband loved his carnitas plate, my tacos dorados were crunchy and the chicken inside was seasoned well. Don't expect the normal toppings though, they're more about using fresh vegetables along with some pickled onions. They held the dessert until we were done with our dinner and their dessert was pretty much a fried plantain with vanilla ice cream and Nutella. I wanted a different dessert, but was told that one was seasonal. The food came out after a wait, but was fresh and hot. It's a no frills place, but it has plenty of seating and the staff were friendly and checked in on us. I'd come back.

I went there cause of a post that showcased their chilaquiles. They were very delicious and freshly made carnitas were excellent Now this place has THE BEST HORCHATA I HAVE EVER TRIED IN MY whole EXISTENCE they get a 10 out of 10 for that heavenly Horchata. Definitely try the Horchata with ur chilaquiles.

I love love the carnitas best carnitas. Today i wanted to try something new. Was a bit disappointed the menudo had so much fat on the menudo it was not able to eat it at all. Seriously it was more fat than anything. Also it had a smell!!

This place is delicious! Everything was great and tasted fresh. We had birria and an asada burrito. The burrito was HUGE and you get a lot of meat in it. Was a little pricey but with house big it was and how great it tasted, id say it was worth the price. The birria was juicy and super flavorful. The pina juice was also delcious but for a large was $6 which seems rather high. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was very clean. The star of the show was really the watermelon and chamoy. While this probably isn't super difficult to make at home, their chamoy sauce was the best I have had. It was absolutely amazing. Super messy and gooey, so make sure to have plenty of napkins but man oh man it was so good! Definitely check this place out! We will be coming back to try some of their breakfast items.

The very first thought in my mind after taking a bite of their carnitas Gordita was, "WOW, this is definitely worth the hype!!!" By far not only the BEST Gordita I've had but the best carnitas I've EVER had!! Period. If I could rate this place a 10 I would! The place is very clean and tidy. I was immediately greeted upon entry and the lady was very patient while taking my order because I couldn't decide. I ordered a carnitas Gordita, a quesa birria, rice and beans, and watermelon agua fresca. The crust on this Gordita was cooked to perfection not too thin not too thick - it was just right! The meat was tender and flavorful and the pork skin sets it to moon and back! OMG, outstanding! They are not stingy with the meat so I got so full so fast that I didn't even get the chance to try my quesa birria but it looked just as perfect. The ingredients tasted of high quality and everything tasted fresh and hot and made to order - what you wish every restaurant did. That rice and beans was gold. I'm very picky about my Mexican rice but this one has the perfect amount of tomato flavors and fluffed to perfection. I finished it off with my watermelon agua Fresca which was coated with a rim of Tajin, thank you lord lol No lie guys, I promise you will not be disappointed if you tried this place. If I had one complaint is that the place looks closed. The windows and doors are covered in tints and you are unable to see inside. Anyone curious driving by may be wanting to try but unless you walk up and open the door you may think they're closed.

I can't believe the last time I checked in here was 2 years ago EXCELLENT!!!!!! Service is so friendly Ok, yes, it's a hole in a wall. A mom and pops restaurant, a lot of those are the best food I had a Mixta meat scramble It was a custom order. I would have added beans and rice and a dab if guacamole Fresh, I believe, hand-made tortillas Freshly made guacamole These sweet corn cakes were excellent Cafe de la Olla dead ringer Will be back soon so much to try The owner came by and had to say excellent food Being yucateco, I'm coming back for those cebolla morada(purple pickled onions) That must soooooo gooood with tacos And I see menudo another must try

I've been wanting to try this place for four years now I come from southern Cali and they did not disappoint ! From the service to the food everything was wonderful . I called in thirty minutes before they closed and they still made it happen for me thank you ladies telling my family about this place

Came in at 6:15pm, the establishment closes at 7:00pm, which is stated on their front door and on the website. Went up to the ordering counter and asked if we can at least still eat in the restaurant and she said only to go. There's nothing posted anywhere that they only do to-go after a certain time. Maybe stop service at the time you have listed on the door. But to be closed and out the door by that time is wild.

If your around the area and craving good Mexican food then Carnitas Don Claudio is the spot. Had a buche taco, carnitas taco and also the carnitas fries. The meat was really flavorful. Had a bite of the asada sope and it was also very good. The fries were really good as well, those should be eaten as soon as they come out. Sure are coming back to try more of their dishes

Great fresh food and service every time. We all need to support the small businesses. Prices maybe a bit higher but it's worth it.

Honestly it was very mid. Would have been better if my food wasn't all fat I asked for 4 gorditas de carnitas and when I bit into it it was all fat no actual meat which honestly made me gag as soon as my husband and I bit into it. So overall honestly not great.

Carnitas Don claudio never disappoints! It's like the 20th time we order take out from them and they are literally the most delicious carnitas in vegas! I've told all my friends, family, and co workers about them. Whenever we have a potluck at work this is who we order from. Their prices are reasonable. The carnitas are always tender and so juicy. The flavor just melts in your mouth. Everyone always hopes that there are leftovers for later but it's always scarfed down. Can't wait for the next time we order!

Did not like the service. I was so excited to try their food but the chilaquiles were a complete disappointment

Saw this place on tiktok and was craving carnitas while I was in Vegas so we gave it a try! The restaurant sign outside was so cute! The restaurant in the inside is nice and cozy and welcoming. The staff was very tentative as well! We ordered a pound of carnitas mixta (carnitas, buche and cueritos) and we had to order 12 tortillas with it for about $5 if I remember correctly. We couldn't buy them individually. But that was okay. They brought out chip and dip before hand and then the carnitas. They were delicious! Tender and yummy! They have Birria on the menu too so I'll give that a go next time. My only complaint is that there was very little cueritos which to me.. is such a delicate and delicious part of the carnitas. Overall 10 out of 10.

The carnitas burritos were so bland, no flavor at all. It tastes store bought. I am furious that I paid $20 a burrito and it came out so nasty. I have also tried their quesabirria and that also is not as good as they advertise. Both times I couldn't even finish my food I do not recommend no one to eat there

I went on Saturday was excited to try it but I was so disappointed with the food the birria had no flavor and dry when I asked for some birria juice they said it was extra I was like fine almost $5 extra my husband had the carnitas it was also dry and no flavor at all won't be going back

Soo...my coworker recommended this spot & it did not disappoint! Carnitas were on point- tender & flavorful. Unlike other spots that serve overcooked carnitas or stuff that has been sitting for a while. They also serve aguas (Translation- Fresh fruit juice drinks) with a Tajin rim which was awesome! I had a 'pepino con piña (Cucumber & Pineapple) & it was perfect- not too sweet but just right! Very refreshing. Lolis was our cashier & she was very friendly. She was very attentive, hospitable, & checked on us frequently. That's the kinda service I appreciate & enjoy. Place is nice and clean with a super chill ambience. All employees were nice making for an enjoyable lunch but cut short due to an emergency call so we had to leave 1/2 way thru our lunch. Will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu. Food is delicious ladies, keep up the good work. Tienen una buena cuchara!

We went to Carnitas Don Claudio for Sunday brunch. I was pleased to find that the restaurant wasn't overly crowded, allowing for a comfortable and relaxed dining atmosphere. The staff members were friendly and the service was efficient and attentive. To kick off our meal, we ordered the chips and guacamole. The guacamole was made fresh! I ordered the Quesobirria tacos, while my husband chose the carnitas tacos. Both selections were delicious. The tacos were served hot, fresh and each bite was packed with mouthwatering flavors. It was evident that careful attention had been given to the preparation. To end our brunch experience on a sweet note, we indulged in the sweet corn pancakes. These pancakes were a revelation. Fluffy and golden, they showcased the sweetness and delicate essence of the corn. Every bite was a heavenly combination of textures and flavors, leaving us thoroughly impressed. This place is delicious!! I got the carne asada fries and it's one of the best ones I've ever had. I also had the birria tacos, which was my first time trying, and it was so good!!! Can't wait to go back

Amazing customer service! Super welcoming, and very clean! Best thing is the food was delicious! Seemed a bit pricey, but we were very satisfied with our food so no issue. This was our second time here, and we will definitely drive the 25 minutes from the strip again to have this place!

Always up for trying out new places. We found this lil family owned restaurant & even met the owner, Don Claudio! Such a sweet man! The inside was a bit small but cozy. There was corner space where a band was playing. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious. We'll be back soon!

Details count and this place is Amazing The food is sooo good Nothing is basic here. The rice is sooo tasty and has pieces of potatoes and carrots and is always so fluffy, reminds me of how my mom used to make it. The carnitas are fresh and juicy and full of flavor They add red and green salsa on my to go order and garnished it w a chile jalapeño, carrots and potato, so yummy. Chile de árbol on the fresh refried beans and queso fresco. Everything is always on point here. If you happen to eat in, service is great as well,

The FOOD HERE IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I MEAN THE MEAT IS MARINATED AND TENDER. HEAVEN IN YOUR MOUTH. We got 1 Queso Birria taco a piece for appetizer, then we got the 2 style Chilaquiles Bitrito(not on the menu), and the corn cakes!!!!! Phenomenal. Best $75 investment better than the buffet at the Wynn. The hostess was so kind. I love this place! I will go here every time I go to Vegas.

Muy Buena la comida pero el servicio dio mucho que desear. Les deseo mucha suerte en el futuro, uno solo quiere ver que los pequeños negocios salgan adelante, especialmente si son negocios latinos pero es imposible apollar un negocio que descarta a sus clientes. Quiza la siguiente ocasión nos traten mejor en una pizzeria cualquiera y no tengamos que gastar tanto dinero para que nos corran.

After reading the great reviews I probably came in with too high of hopes. The service was nonexistent even tho I was the only person there. And the food was okay. I dined in & tried the carne asada tacos, quesa birria, & carnitas with a side of beans and rice. Price came out to like $24. Honestly I normally order burritos so if I came back maybe I'd try that but the tacos were just okay in my opinion.

Haven't gone in person but we always get Carnitas Don Claudio for lunch at work so I can't say much for the service or ambiance. However, their food is solid. The carnitas, tortillas, guacamole and orange, salsa are the best. Definitely one of our weekly go to for our lunch!

Cada vez que vengo a Las Vegas me tomo el tiempo de pasar a comer. Pero esta fue la última. Se me antojó el agua fresca de piña y pedí una. Yo no sabia que el vaso venía escarchado con chamoy y tajin. Le regrese el vaso de agua a la muchacha y le pedí otro sin. La tiro por el lavabo y vaya sorpresa que me volvió a cobrar por un agua nueva! Le reclame y para nada se disculpó y a huevo me hizo pagar una vez más porque nadie nunca se había quejado y nunca habían tenido un problema. El menú tampoco indica que el agua viene escarchada. Con el coraje hasta los totopos perdieron sabor. Muy lamentable lo sucedido porque por un vaso de agua hecharon todo a perder. Los vi crecer a través de los años hasta el restaurant que ahora son, pero no será igual.

If you want straight coffee, forget it. The only have sweetened cinnamon coffee. Just eggs, meat and potatoes? Go somewhere else. Menudo is fair but nothing special. Service however is fantastic. Great young ladies are pleasant and always have a kind word and smile on their faces. Expand the breakfast menu a bit and it could be worth saving. Just not yet.

We have been here twice now and we have become fans! Carnitas Don Claudio is a family owned business in the Northwest side of town and it is run by the owner's four daughters. CDC specializes in flavors from Michoacan, Mexico so you can't come here and not try the carnitas!? We've had it in the form of Nachos and Quesocarnitas Tacos and they were both very good! They also serve up a pretty solid Birria de Res (Beef Birria) as well. If you come earlier on the weekends, A bowl of their Menudo Rojo Estilo Michoacana is a must! They also put their own solid spin on Enchiladas Michoacanas which is worth a try. Their selection of Agua frescas are a perfect accompaniment to your meal. Food was AWESOME, the closes to a home made meal. Their customer service is very friendly and professional and the best part is the ambience, really calm and clean.

We live near Don Claudio and go frequently for tacos. The carnitas are always flavorful and good. Their tortillas are really yummy as well. Their agua frescas, especially the horchata are BOMB. I feel like this is a consistently good taco spot and we are happy to live so close by
