Best Birria and Quesabirria Tacos Around Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Located inside Plaza Fiesta, this food court stall offers a choice of either beef or goat birria tacos. And Carnitas Michoacan Mexican Food also sells its birria by the pound. Stop by on the weekends for hot bowls of pozole and menudo." - Eater Staff

I have not tried the asada tacos yet because everything else is so tasteful that I always find myself ordering all the different options of carnitas and lengua. I love how the carnitas are not dry; they have a lot of flavor and are very juicy and tender. Similar to the lengua, those tacos are too good to be true. The pozole is also a good option; it is big and has enough meat. The portions are very big. For example, A medium-sized pozole can fill you up, but I always get the large one because it is delicious. You can't go wrong; anything will be delicious.

The food was tasty! It wasn't costly either. I'm glad I came here to try the food out. Usually it's hard to balance everything out in sopes but they knew how much to put in for each one. The chorizo was okay but I'd stick with the traditional asada. The tacos had a lot of options which were all tasty. The servers were extremely nice and quick! It was crowded when I went there (lunch time) but I didn't wait at all. This place is in the mall but the restaurant is on one of the isles. Definitely stop by here to eat.

Carnitas Mochoacan Mexican Food catered my daughter's graduation party. I ordered $900 worth of food for 200 people. It was prepared on time and the packaging made it very easy to transport into my car. The rice and beans, which seem simply, we're a crowd pleaser. I also bought 10lbs of pollo, carne asada, and pastor. Everyone at the party commented on the food and asked where I got it. The order didn't come with tortillas but I bought those separately. It did come with a generous amount of salsa verde, onions, cilantro, and limes. Good food is key to a good party and this food made my party fabulous. Thank you guys!

Table service and authentic cuisine in the mall. I came earlier, for lunch. The waitress was friendly and prompt. There are a few tables across the hall. I came here to try the sopes. They were tasty with a handmade crust. I also had a few tacos which were equally authentic and savory. Well, it's Plaza Fiesta, so it's basic but nice to have a place to sit and be served. If you're in the mall, it's a solid choice.

This this is authentic central Mexican food. The tortillas are handmade. Everything’s handmade. Came from Baltimore and ate here three times; excellent food, If you want authentic food.

I went here with my brother and dad, and the experience was pretty bad. I ordered a torta, my dad got tacos, and my brother also got a torta. The portions were super small compared to other places with similar prices. We spent about $62 before tip, and the tortas barely had anything in them—just a thin egg and burnt sausage. It was terrible. On top of that, the service was not great. Our server was kind of rude, and when I was checking out, she asked for a tip in a really pushy way, like, "Are you tipping with cash or card?" without even giving me the choice if I wanted to tip. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.
