The food was delicious, I like it, we came here in Vegas from bay Area CA and i found this place from social media. This resturant & place give little vibes as similar as mexico. You feel you eating in mexico. Overall my experience remain good👍

All the food here I think it good. My family normally order tortas ahogadas, tacos dorados and birria tacos. The birria tacos are very filling I can not eat more then two. The tacos dorados are so good with the tomato salsa and carnitas on top.

First time in this place, and I have read the comments of other clients, and I really liked the service that Luz our waitress provided us; super friendly, fast service. As for the food, being me from Guadalajara, I am very satisfied with the Torta ahogada that I ordered, delicious, and the Tejuino very refreshing and good, I recommend it. My wife ordered tacos de canasta, and excellent tacos dorados; all the fresh waters needless to say. In general, everything is very good and I recommend it.

After our drive through wedding we came here to eat because my husband is a fan of authentic tortas and let me tell you they are the best we had in a long time!

We order menudo it was very salty , greasy and not fresh, I told them about it but they didn’t have the courtesy of offering a discount or something else, I payed $45 for Menudo trash. Horrible experience!

The food is very delicious and authentic . Great customer service and the prices are very reasonable. I did notice that everything was spotless, which I loved.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for a quick lunch. The inside of this place is small so I see why they extended an outdoor area. We ordered the 1lb of meat (carnitas, buche, y chicharrones) that came with 6 tortillas and various toppings including onions, cilantro, and limes. We also ordered tacos de frijoles y papas. The meat here is delicious and definitely met my expectations. They are known for their tortas so will need to try that on my next visit. Service was a bit slow to give us our menus. We sat and browsed the menu on their yelp page. Once the server came to greet us, we had already decided on what to order but our food arrived quickly. Overall, great food and worth the hype

Our family has been going here for a few years so I can't believe this is my first review but if you find yourself on this side of town like we did with Vegas's crazy wind yesterday this place will hit the spot. Traditionally known for its Tortas Ahogadas which is a a hot sub that gets drenched in a delicious red sauce (must try) we come here for the Consomé (broth/soup) & birria tacos. This place always has hand made tortillas which just adds to the overall foodie experience. I love the variety of salsas they provide as well. Our customer service has always been nice. They are family owned and can get pretty busy with weekends so you can except a small wait sometimes. They do offer outdoor covered seating. I hope you give it a try !

I found myself on the Eastside for an appointment. I knew to wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to have a Mexican specialty. Found Carnitas y Tortas Ahogadas Guadalajara on Yelp. It's Torta Tuesday and the Carnitas Torta is buy one and the second one is free! So happy I ordered two the most delicious Flan. The carnitas are delicious seating inside a crispy bolillo. Pickled red onions and a lime on the side. The most delicious sauce and house made hot sauce. I loved it! The service is superb and the store is clean. Nice patio seating and plenty of free parking.

Soooo good. Truly cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. We got the Thursday special of 2 for 1 tacos dorados. We paid extra for carnitas added. The tacos are stuffed with potato, extra crispy even with the sauce. Topped high with carnitas, cabbage and delicious pickled onions. So good. And we had a torta ahogada. Just perfection! The carnitas are so flavorful and tender. Great service and super fast! But the good feels like it's definitely not rushed. Recommend it to anyone who loves tortas ahogadas.

This was my first time eating at Carnitas y Tortas Ahogadas Guadalajara. We came as a group of 10 on a Saturday afternoon and was seated immediately (with the choice of inside or outside) and we chose outside. There are water misters above the outdoor seating which was really nice considering that it was 97°. Upon sitting down, the waiters took down our drink orders immediately. Torta Ahorgada Con Carnitas -- 4.5/5. Prior to ordering I thought it would be super soggy and hard to eat due to all of the sauce however I was completely wrong. Yes the sauce was poured over the Torta and yes, the Torta was sitting in a plate full of sauce however the bread was still nice and crunchy. The pickled onions complimented the Torta very well. Birria De Chivo (Goat) -- 4/5. Goat meat is typically more on the gamey side so if you aren't a fan, just order beef. But personally I'm fine with goat meat. Served with fresh handmade tortillas and lime/cilantro/onions/pickled veggies. The Chico size was perfect for one person. There are 4 house sauces assuming the red was the spiciest (it was a great combo with the birria) I would definitely recommend eating here especially if you want to get away from the strip vibes. The restaurants located about 15 minutes away from the strip. There isn't music playing out in the outdoor seating so it's definitely nice to get a more peaceful experience versus everything available on the strip.

I'm a sucker for carnitas.. good carnitas that is. This place hit the spot. Shared with 2 friends and it was more then enough for us as we ordered a side of rice and beans. The order also came with lime, cilantro, onions, jalapeños and carrots. Some carnitas at other places come a bit dry but this was not the case here. They also have 4 different salsas with different heat levels. The habanero and red salsa, which seemed to be Chile de arbol salsa were my favorite. They have a special for tortas Ahogadas on Tuesday so that will be the next thing I try here ! Oh.. service was so attentive and quick!

Actually dined in this time, inside was clean and servers were perfect with their service. Food was delicious we ordered 2 orders of potato tacos and 1lb of the mixed carnitas, buche, cueritos. Large beef consume and a children's mini asada burrito. When server brought out the consume it was in a large bowl with no extra bowls asked for extra bowls and he brought one other large bowl when there was three of us. Prices went up a lot this year last time we were here was Jan 30th and prices where almost $2 cheaper.

Came to east side for some errands and while here might as well try some place new and found this place! I am so happy I did , everything was fantastic! I decided to go with the carnitas tacos and it was the best decision! The meat was so tender, juicy, and paired amazing with the salsa verde! Shout out also to the staff for being so welcoming and friendly! Highly recommend to stop by for delicious tacos!

When your craving Carnitas this place is a must the have a small menu from tacos tortas carnitas but non the less delicious they have a mix plate witch could be good for like 3 people and service is super fast since everything already cooked there salsas are delicious.. Con is on the weekends it gets super packed but thats how good it is.. its also kinda small inside but they do have tables outside with a shed.. 100% suggest this place

One more 5 star review for your collection!! It was delicious! The tortas ahogadas were as close as it gets to the original. I noticed a lot of people order the barbacoa by the pound and just made their Owen tacos. The place is clean and the food is good! Will be back every time I'm In vegas!

This place is delicious! My husband and I shared the tacos de carnitas, tacos de canasta, tacos al pastor y tacos de papa. And holy cow let me tell you how delicious everything was. But my favorite was tacos de papa!! Let's not forget about the horchata WOW!!! The service was friendly and attentive!. I will be coming back!!

IF I COULD GIVE MORE STARS I WOULD! THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY A HOLE IN THE WALL Such good prices & VERY VERY AUTHENTIC. I haven't been to an authentic Guadalajara restaurant in years! And others I go to never taste the same as they do in Guadalajara but THIS PLACE DOES! The service is just as good as the food & they are all very friendly! I come from California & came to visit Vegas Strip & found this place! Forever will be our go to spot !

First thing I will tell you is this place is busy. All locals. Big rush on Friday at noon. Place reminds me of some of the little restraints in the valley or Mexico. Had a big party during the lunch rush but the waitresses keep smiling; my group was difficult. So they're getting 5 stars because the food is delicious. The tortas are fantastic. Bread is perfect. I don't like taco dorados and it wasn't bad either. So normally I would give them 4 star for good food but my wife is so in love with this place had to do 5.

Best Carnitas, Tortas Ahogadas y Birria! If you are looking for original flavors go here!! They have the original and only one birote salado in Las Vegas!! This is must if you are in Las Vegas, excellent service, friendly staff and place is really clean.

This place is amazing. All food is delicious. I tried the torta ahogada. The birote is salty and won't the soggy just like in Guadalajara. The tacos sudados de chicharrón so good! Loved this place. Tuesdays they have 2 x1 torta ahogada special . Super fast service. Little pricey but worth it!!!

The Potato Tacos are great. The full order has 4 Tacos with a special sauce, cabbage and picked onions. The best part is that you get another for free on Thursday's. You can't go wrong. The waitress are wonderful too. I'm coming back next Thursday.

Excellent Menudo - soft and delicious. The birria consume was delicious but the beef birria was very "gamey". The meat was soft and delicious but the experience for me was lost with the overwhelming smell of old meat.

Visiting Vegas and my friend took me to this whole in the wall restaurant called Carnitas y Tortas Ahogadas Guadalajara. Known for their Tortas Birria before Birria became popular. It's a must ty and sooo good! Ximena served my friend and I and was very attentive and suggested our food and it was right on point!! Love it and will come back again when I visit Las Vegas!

My friend took me here because he said it had some of the best food ever. He's very picky, so I knew it had to be good, and boy oh boy was I right! The food was phenomenal and had the most perfect level of spice & flavor. I was full half way through my meal, but I just couldn't stop eating! It was that good! My stomach was ready to explode, and I still kept going. Haha. On top of that (as if that wasn't enough), the service was so great. Some very polite woman was our server and she treated us like we were family in her home visiting. It was that genuine hospitality that you rarely see anymore. I'm blown away at how amazing this restaurant was, and even more blown that I didn't know about this little hidden gym sooner!

Fire tacos. Very chill dude good recommendation of sauces. Food was fast but still fresh, has one of those spinny thingy for the meat.

Just like they are in Mexico The bread took me back to sitting down and and enjoying a torta in Mexico. They import their Bolillo (bread) fresh from Guadalajara.

Price of water bottles is ridiculous 16.9 oz bottle for 2.50 dollars tacos for 4$ dollars each kind of expensive to be aware of it before you stop by

The food was DELICIOUS!! Authentic Tortas Ahogadas. Did take a picture as the food was amazing. Staff very friendly. It's busy but they have room to spare.

Loved this place!! Our family was staying in an Airbnb down the road and needed food ASAP.. we saw this place had great reviews and decided to give it a try. We were all impressed and loved our food! The carne asada tacos were tasty, loved the asada. I could have ate it all by itself. My husband and brother in law had the fried Birria and they loved it!! He also had the Michelata which was tasty as well. Even though this part of town has some suspect areas this place was not one of them. They were very friendly and accommodating to our large party (8). Would recommend!

I thought it was okay. I went with a fortas ahogatas and a quesabirra, both beef. The fortas was the biggest disappointment. I wasn't expecting such dried out bread and I was hoping for more flavor. The quesabirra was pretty good but it too lacked flavor.

We have just finished eating here and the food is wonderful, amazing, and of course DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this restaurant it is located down the street from the Neon Museum. Also if you're looking for chips and salsa to be served here go somewhere else. This place is authentic to its cuisine. The Birra de Chivo absolutely best I have ever had. My spouse ate their menudo which was also great. There Birra de Res tacos were also delectable as were the potatoes tacos. They have homemade tortillas. Our server was extremely attentive to us. The place is small the wait if any is minimal. The parking lot is full that is an excellent indication for this restaurant. It is a little far but worth the drive.

I have gone to both locations and I prefer the one in Las Vegas Blvd. The tortas hogadas and the carnitas is a must try. If you don't like spicy, just have them dunk the torta in the non spicy salsa. The service is good and this location is very clean.

Went on 12/14/22 to have an late lunch with family. First time there and we were not disappointed. The staff welcomed us in like we were they're family. The menu was straight to the point. The food, oh my goodness, was very delicious. I ordered a torta ahogada and it brought me back to when I actually visit Guadalajara and eat them there. We also ordered a quesabirria which my family member said was very filling and savory. For drinks we ordered agua de Jamaica which was perfect! Not too sweet. Overall the service and food was great! Will be going back, especially knowing a Tuesday deal on tortas!

This place is by far the most terrible food!!! I ordered tacos Dorados which was empty when I mean empty it was nothing inside with just lettuce and the purple onion on top The ordered 5 Horchatas for $25 Plain ass taco that doesn't look appealing at all!!! Ordered birria that tasted very thin and dry. I got robbed for my appetite!!!!!! I left angry and hungry!!!!! First and last time I will ever come to eat here!!! Go to the places around here not here!!! Also they charged a $15 service charge 3/10/2023

Let me start of by saying that there wasn't one thing that I didn't like. My family and I went for a late lunch/early dinner. We all tried each other's food to maximize our experience. We had the Torta Ahogada with carnitas of course. This is the traditional way it's eaten in the state of Jalisco. The bread, the sauce and the flavor of the carnitas along with the pickled onions made the first bite feel as if I was down in Guadalajara having one there. The traditional sauce is on the spicy side but if you can handle spice it's so worth it. The Tacos dorados with chicharron are hands down my favorite. I did also try the ones with potatoes and beans l, but something about the chicharron that puts it over the top! The regular Torta with Asada is also very delicious and well proportioned with all of the toppings. The Birria Jalisco style (on the "dry" side) and the one with broth are delicious, both meats are very tasty. Birria was traditional done with goat and later on adapted with beef. There's no wrong way to eat it and it doesn't matter which one you try you won't be disappointed, make sure you add the consome; it complements the Birria well. Last but not least try the carnitas, I made sure to try at least one taco and I wasn't disappointed. The carnitas were the perfect amount of crisp and savory. As far as the drinks go we only got to try the Horchata and the cucumber lime agua Fresca with chia seeds, which was very refreshing. The service is good which makes this whole experience a 5 star experience and definitely worth a try.

The food is good but only if you eat it at the restaurant. I was disappointed in the difference no meat with my tacos . They tried to charge me a ridiculous amount for salsa because I asked for more then the one they gave me. Very disappointing

By far the best buche I've ever had in Vegas. I come for the torta ahogada which is delicious but stay for the buche.

This is my new favorite Mexican food place in Las Vegas. Amazing food and waiters/owners made me feel like family. Reasonably priced carnitas, birria, etc. Also don't waste any of the birria broth, load it up with raw chopped onions & cilantro and drink it. If you are coming to Las Vegas this is must-visit local's hidden gem. This place has pretty much all 5 star reviews and at the time I am writing this only 125 reviews so if you are reading this please consider supporting this small family-run business before buying an expensive corporate Strip meal.

Ok, my wife and I came here looking for tacos. The place is small with a nice outside sitting area. Walking in I saw the Tortas on tables and they looked pretty damn good. My wife ordered and the waitress said "same as your wife?" I wasn't paying attention to her order, I wanted the torta. I'm still sitting here and my wife is finishing her torta. She said "if it wasn't for all these people here I'd lick the plate" seriously that good. They bring the torta with pickled onions on the side and a fork and spoon. Come on! A fork and spoon for a torta? It was bathing in "juice" and it was amazing. Thus the need for a spoon. The carnitas were very good but the star of the show...the freaking bread was amazing. This is in a place that's set for the North Las Vegas locals but if you are near Fremont Street you need to give it a try. We will be back to try the tacos, in the mean time, the tortas are worth a visit! By the way, standing room and the ladies working the floor were doing a great job.

First timer here and all i can say is TRY IT! you won't regret it! My fiancé had birria en caldo and I had a torta ahogada and both dishes were very good! :) i will definitely be coming back when I'm close by:)

Legit Mexican carnitas....even by LA standards. It's in a ghetto location but worth the drive. Fresh handmade corn tortillas and chilies sauces. Service is warm and friendly and has a strong local customer base.
