Everything was great! Nikia was our server. She was quick, friendly, and attentive. She checked on our table throughout our time there making sure all was well. I’d ask for her again! The mocktail she suggested was wonderful also.

Rylee, our server, was very pleasant and attentive. The spinach dip is always my go-to appetizer, and the pub burger was delicious!

I did not receive my Pepsi upon delivery. My dasher was told they had no to go cups so no Pepsi. I called to confirm which was true and they did apologized. My VarsityCheeseburger was not well done and the bottom of the burger bun was soggy and had a weird smell. Will not order again

First time eating there last Saturday and we had a wonderful Experience. Food was great and was served very fast. I highly recommend the nachos, they were HUGE!!! Loren our waiter was super kind and sweet. Even if the food was mediocre, Loren still would’ve made it a great experience with his friendly smile.Great place! Can’t wait to go back!!!!

Id like yall to know that I dine in this Carolina ale house frequently and I got close to a lot of the servers and staff here. Zee is by far one of the best servers Ive ever had. I always ask for her. She is my girl! We make each other laugh, and we share stories about our lives with each other. At this rate that’s my bestie now! And Trish though she hasn’t been my server, she always motivated and encouraged me in karaoke and in my career. I love that woman! She’s got an amazing voice as well. Gabriel and I always bond over acting and he’s an overall cool guy! Now if something is wrong, I know Brandon the manager will make sure my food and service is top notch! He’s a very fun guy. Now if you’re not convinced already to come on over, I don’t know what to tell you. The menu is delightful. There’s no wrong choice on there! I saved some of my sandwich to make sure I had something to take a picture of

As former servers and restaurant staff, we were extremely disappointed with the service Thursday. Our server had all of 3 tables in a mostly empty dining room, and still managed to ignore us numerous times when we tried to get his attention for simple requests. We literally had to go to the bar to get our own drinks, where we were informed by the bartender that our server would bring them. 45 minutes later, my husband's drink has still not arrived.....and he just took the plate that was in front of my husband away while he was still eating. Carolina Ale House has definitely lowered their standards regarding their workers. Saddest part is that we are all heavy tippers; he could have earned so much more by just paying a little more attention to what he was doing. Luckily, the food itself was absolutely excellent; perfectly cooked and delicious as usual!

We visited Carolina Ale House based on the reviews of others. I found it interesting that so many were either "loved it" or "hated it". Seems to be quite the polarizing place! We tried it just to see what our experience would be. We were ... Meh. It was okay. We really liked the buffalo chicken dip starter. That part was a win. The atmosphere was also inviting. Our greeter was happy and helpful. Our wait staff seemed nice enough but kind of distracted or... bored, maybe? It was all good. Everyone has an off day. Hubby liked the brisket french dip he ordered. I - on the other hand - wasn't super impressed with the sourdough burger I ordered. It was bland and greasier than it needed to be. The fries were tasty and crispy, but also way greasier than they needed to be. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing for me. It happens. Overall. Was Carolina Ale House good for a one time try? Sure. Will we ever go back if we visit W-S again? Probably not.

I enjoyed the food and service here. Everything was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Fried Chicken Alfredo. My son ordered the wings they were absolutely delicious. We did have to wait 30 minutes but the wait was worth it.

I can't speak on much about their food since I've not ordered anything in awhile, but I can definitely assure you of their attentive service and overall mellow atmosphere to enjoy while on a date or drinking/dining with friends. The beers are always icy cold, and no matter how packed it can get there always seems to be room for you and your party, regardless. Both the manager and the bartender was very kind and conversational so I definitely look forward to returning often. I arrived on their Karaoke Night - hosted by DJ Tish (Tuesdays from 8 PM - 12 AM), and wound up winning their 1st prize ($25 off gift card to use when dining at Carolina Ale House). It was a lot of silly fun to be had and I definitely recommend that others make it far more popular than it is... just don't forget to tip the disk jockey!

I am only giving this rating based on my recent experience with the Asst. Manager, Kayln. We have been regular customers long before COVID. We average going every two weeks. We love the servers and have been on a first name basis for years. Sierra, Taylor and Payton are awesome! They always recommend food orders that are consistently good. If any food does come out that is not excellent, they send it back for us. We love all 3 of them! A fairly new server waited on us and there was a misunderstanding about my drink order. When I questioned, she asked if I wanted to speak to the Assist. Manager, and I said yes. Instead of doing the right thing (should have taken it off our bill), she was rude and refused to take it off our bill. I am retired after working in customer service for over 41 years, and I know great from horrible customer service. We did not return for a good while. I made up my mind if she ever approaches me again, we will walk out. Is this how you really want your regular customers to be treated? Kayln needs to go!

Early dinner, restaurant wasn't crowded at all. Ordered appetizers, salads and entree, salads and entrees came out before we finished the appetizer. The appetizer was very small considering the price. The salads were iceberg lettuce with one cucumber slice, one onion slice. Entries were cold. Mentioned this to the server. I thought a manager would come out, but no. Paid and left, won't be back.

My first time here. When we pulled up, it was almost deserted so that made me second guess whether or not we should eat here but we asked a few patrons that were pulling up and they gave rave reviews so we decided to try it out. The server and hostess were very friendly. My only question so far is why my onions straws came out before my food and I did not order them as an appetizer. My friend asked for extra mayonnaise on her sub and it came with none The veggies on the Philly flatbread weren't cooked. The flatbread lacked flavor except the sauce. The meat was bland/unseasoned. Needless to say, I ordered the Calabash. WAYYYY better!!! we even got an opportunity to talk to the kitchen manager, and make a suggestion to add the meat from the Philly steak sub to the flatbread. And he explained the deals or the details of the promotion, which was something new that they tried. We told them to keep, trying! Lol The meat on the sub was AMAZING!!!!!! My daughter wasn't impressed with the cheese pizza. Neither was I. It wasn't done and the sauce wasn't tasty. *updated to say the manager Brandy is THE BEST CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE ANYONE WOULD BE HONORED TO HAVE!!!!! ***

There's a decent selection of beers on tap here. And the Ale House could be a comfortable place to hang out...but the service here is consistently poor. It matters not whether you're at the bar or seated at a table; the staff is slow to attend to your needs in every instance. It's as though they don't recognize they are supposed to be checking on you, taking your order, or keeping up with your needs. And that same spirit carries back into the kitchen, whose staff seem incapable of turning out dishes in a timely fashion. Tonight I waited half an hour for an order of cheese fries. I watched the bartender put off pouring my first pint for nearly five minutes, and not because she had anything more pressing to do. And when I emptied the glass, she never bothered to ask if I wanted another. If this is how customer service is handled, why should I go back?

Best wings in town hands down- that is if you ordered the fried wings. The crispness of the batter they coat it with is on point. The beer list is good-very good. Not enough stout/porters on draft. Good place to watch a game with the massive screen and the multiple TVs.

I tend to forget about this place but it has never disappointed. Nothing fancy but the service and food is usually consistent. My salad was fresh and my daughter's burger was good. The french onion soup was good but a few too many onions this time. There is a pool table that offers entertainment while you wait. There is an outdoor patio area that usually has someone out there smoking which is annoying if the smoke comes your way. Overall, I will go back!

No customers. Beer prices are high compared to other restaurants/bars in the area. They have 2 beers on special today...but are out of 1. Bartender was friendly. 3rd trip here in 2 months. Always the same. It's a shame, as it could be a great bar. Hard to believe they stay in business.

I have been coming to this location, let's face it and be honest, for the plain & simple fact that they serve LARGE beers in the form of the greatest beer ever created. Bell's Two Hearted Ale. They do have a whole new vegetarian section that I will be trying soon. If you need a dark and private bar to have a pint or two when the rest of your party is shopping at the mall, this is always a solid standby.

don't ord food from them they nasty they send me burned food and they charge a lot of money. They don't wash their hands. Everything is nasty there. Please don't order.

We were seated with no silverware. When our food arrived, it was lukewarm, borderline cold. We asked for the manager and were immediately disrespected by their so-called "hostess"asking us why we need a manager. It's not her job to ask us why, just fetch the manager. The manager did hear us out, apologized for our experience thus far, and we were brought out new and hot meals. My biggest gripe is the hostess, for she was highly unpleasant and unprofessional. Please do better Carolina Ale!

Unfortunately, I hate writing this because I helped open this restaurant up. Everything there is still so wonderful to see. We had great food and great beer. My problem is that AJ the bartender added an 18% gratuity on me and my friend. Our other friend joined a little later, but as a server who works in fine dining, I don't understand why she added that to a total of 3 people. When asked, she said something along the lines of "That's weird, maybe it was the register". After looking at other tables checks, it was clear that it was only applied to our check. I feel that was really unprofessional as being a member of the service industry, and not only does she need to do better, but if you continue to pick and choose who you put gratuity to, that's the lowest tip you are aiming for when you could get better tips.

Service food and atmosphere very nice! Wings were on point I had hot and teriyaki and both were delish! I also had the fried chicken pasta it wasn't that good because of the large onions and lacked flavor but the brisket quesadilla made up for the entree. We shared OfCourse but I really enjoyed myself here I would come again!

Staff is nice. I ordered wings to go. The left out my silverware and napkins that I asked for but not too big of a deal. They would have received a higher rating but they have a weird policy where they upcharge for to go orders after a certain time of night. That's just plain weird. I guess they're trying to force people to dine in so that their staff can get tips. Again. Just weird.

Food was ok and not crowded for a Saturday. Ordered pints and the glasses came with the beer 1/2 inch or more from the top, do I guess that's a 15ounce pint. Requested a receipt for the bill, but never got one. Probably will only go there again because there is value left on a gift card a relative gave us.

I had heard some good things both on and off Yelp, but this was just a 3 star in my opinion. I took the Fam-Bam on Sunday afternoon and we got the seating in the covered outside area. The table was not clean and after we ordered our food we got two of the items soon (Pub Burgers), the third item a Cobb salad took another 7 or 8 minutes. The burger was okay, nothing super special about it, and even though we asked for refills several times and silverware it took a while to get those because the servers were stretched too thin. I will still stick to the 3-star rating even that the food was lackluster.

This place is disgusting, bar tender cut us off after a couple drinks, because her tip was not sufficient. Food is frozen and taste horrible. This would never happen back home. Typical woke!

Great place to eat, had amazing service, my girlfriend and I had delicious food. Only thing I didn't like was how they add a 18 percent tip onto your bill, but other than that I would definitely recommend going.

We visited Carolina Ale House today and it was wonderful. Everyone that I saw were all taking covid precautions wearing mask and they had signage for ways to go in and out. We had a wonderful attentive waitress, I wish I could remember her name but nonetheless we received great service. What did we eat? CAROLINA TRIPLE PLAY Guacamole, Carolina pimento cheese, homemade salsa BONELESS ZINGERS - Fried 1/2 Carolina BBQ + 1/2 Buffalo FRIED WINGS - Traditional 1/2 General Tso + 1/2 Buffalo The portions were large and we had leftovers to take home! We will be back!

I love Carolina ale House! Been here a few times, love the beer selection and I have actually found all the food to be quite tasty. Tonight I had Juan and Sagittarius( I forgot her name) Taking care of me and did a great job. I tend to sit by myself, drink my beer, do a lot of work on my phone but also listen to the conversations around me to see what kind of nut cases are at the bar or interesting conversations to join into. I received great service, good conversation, got to watch all the peeps around the bar and even watch Tiger Woods try to make a Bertie after a lousy shot landed them against the tree with no way out and he managed to get out. I got the fried pickles and the turkey club pita - which I loved the pita! I probably had more beer than I needed and he can only eat half of the club but I'm in my hotel room now enjoying the other half while I write reports then get to bed because I have to get up at 2:30. I've been to other Carolina ale House location and always have been pleased. These guys behind the bar were a hoot! I like to be entertained when I eat especially when I sit silently and absorb it all in while also dissecting their service, the quality of food, the atmosphere, and the convenience to my hotel. I always stay at Hampton Inn's when I travel so it's right down the road it was a happy camper by the time I left. Good service, good food, good people. I'll be back as I have an account to service near here so will be spending more time in the area. It was much better than the dinner I had last night at Outback! Highly recommend

I came here for the first time. The atmosphere was great I felt very comfortable walking in here alone. The bartenders were super on top of it and friendly I ordered a spinach dip it came with chips and pita bread. It was delicious. They do have a full liquor bar and a lot of beer taps I should have counted them. They do have daily specials on drinks. There is a 1 pool table in the bar area and huge outside area. I will be back.

We had been shopping at Hanes Mall and needed some grub (12-23-19). Since this was our first trip to the Ale House, we dove right into some serious food! We ordered the Honey Buffalo Wings, Buffalo Wings, and the Crispy Ribs. The wings were good! Everyone loved both flavors. They were juicy with plenty of meat on their little bones. The Crispy Ribs were a bit too crispy for me. Almost dried out. NOT enough meat on those bones for sure! I should have skipped the ribs and ordered more wings! The service here is really good! The young lady that helped us was a delight! If you have shopped long enough to need some nourishment, stop here for wings! If you do not want to bring your other half to the Mall, drop them off here and you can walk over when you are finished! Or, he can pick you up at the front door when you are finished... Most Sincerely!

A small group of us ate at this location last night. We were seated immediately but the service was slow and absent minded. Drink orders were incorrect and second orders were wrong too. My salad was generous but under the fresh lettuce was old lettuce with brown edges and center clumps. Fish and chips were thickly breaded and really bland. Hamburger was ok.

We used to love this place during football season but it seems to have drastically changed since COVID. We went to watch a game that we couldn't view at home. The place was nearly empty right before game time. They seemed wholly unprepared for football fans having every screen tuned into the same game. It took a good ten minutes to get our requested game cued up then a few minutes into the game the channel was changed again. The beer selection appears large but consistently runs out of popular items, so we rarely get the selection we want. Hardly any dark beer at all. We did not order food this trip, but the last couple visits were just meh.

Not for those gluten and dairy free. Lots of fried or beer battered food. Typical tavern fare.

Chorizo meatloaf with veggies and loaded mashed potatoes was better than expected. Yuengling pint was very cold and tasty. Service was on point.

Food came out Luke warm and it wasn't crowded. Ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and out of all things they ran out of bacon!!!

If you are gonna go to the bar ask for AJ. she is super sweet and makes amazing drinks. She will make sure you have a pleasant time.

The frickles (fried pickles) were a great appetizer. The buffalo chicken wrap and Philly cheesesteak were ok. The service was terrible. No drink refills and our waiter was a ghost. I'm giving 2 stars because the frickles were delicious.

I'm pretty upset about what has happened tonight when I came to this establishment. This is a warning to people who have a service animal! The bouncer asked me if my dog I brought in was a service animal. I replied with "yes he is a service animal for children with autism......" he interjected with "Do you have papers?" I said "not with me I didn't think I needed them to come inside" and then he kicked me out I'm mainly upset about this because my dog is trained for children with autism and myself who suffers from seizures. What happens if I'm at that establishment to eat can't bring my dog in because of this and I have a seizure at the table and no one notices, what happens then? It's against ADA to ask for papers of a service animal, the employees at this establishment need to be educate.

The food is terrible. No matter how quickly you get the food it's always cold. The food is either bland and tasteless or just bad. A complete waste of money.

UPDATE Youngest daughter picked this place for her birthday meal. A much bigger disappointment than our first visit. Our server did not write anything down and repeated our order back to us incorrectly and seemed confused. Maybe he was new. But I'm not there to be impressed by your memory, write our orders down because he screwed up mu daughters birthday meal. 1) Me, burger with coke slaw. Check that, it turned out to be just....cabbage. There was ZERO dressing on the cabbage. How do you mess up cole slaw? The burger was good. 2) Wife, burger with fries. Both good. 3) Youngest daughter, Buffalo chicken wrap ordered without tomatoes but came with HUGE rounds of tomatoes in the wrap. They weren't even cut into manageable pieces to eat. Daughter didn't want to cause a fuss so she unwrapped it and pulled out the offending tomatoes. Was it a server or kitchen error? The world will never know. Needless to say, her wrap became a disheveled mess to eat. Very disappointing for a girl on her birthday. 4) Oldest daughter, Thai Chicken Bowl In retrospect, she should have known better that to order something like this from a place like CAH. She loves Thai food but this ISNT a Thai restaurant. What she received was a gross conglomeration of peppers, rice and breaded chicken soaked in a disgustingly sweet sauce. And when I say sweet, like dessert sweet. It was probably one of the most disgusting dishes anyone in my family has EVER been served in ANY restaurant. She ate about 1/3 of it. The chicken's breading began falling off and mixing with the already gross creation in the bowl. It needs to be taken off the menu. There was NOTHING Thai about this dish. Again, we didn't want to make a big deal about it because this was supposed to be a birthday celebration. I will have to think long and hard about going back. I guess if we do we will have to be careful what we order. CAH needs to focus on what they do best, pub food. And have your servers write orders down, yeah, that would be great. Overall, this was a big disappointment.

What a horrible place all around and I'll tell you why. As a server, (and trainer of servers), for 20 plus years I would have fired my server. 1. The look of disgust when she walked up to the table set the vibe, I'm sorry, are we interrupting you at your job. 2. The menus were dirty, 3. the mumbled answer after ordering our drinks. 4. You get a fork, only utensil given, umm we needed a knife to try and cut the crappy tough meat. 5. After delivering food, you should have come back after 2 minutes to see if everything's ok, you didn't, no refill on drinks check, nothing! A teaspoon for soup, do you even have soup spoons 6. No mgr coming to check on the 2 tables in the restaurant. Let me tell you, zero customers, there's a reason folks! Taco Bell would have been better. You wouldn't want me as your trainer, I'd fire you all! And let me guess, you expected a 20% tip. I've given great service and got zero dollar tips, you shouldn't be at all surprised that you got less than 10%, but I have the impression that you expect it! T.I.P.S means To Insure Proper Service, I should have given you less. I don't think I have ever tipped less than 20% in my life. Well, today was that day! What a sub par place! I'm actually surprised that you still exist after that experience! Please close, because after reading all of your reviews, you don't seem to make any positive changes...maybe if the mgr worked off of tips things would possibly change! Do better!

I did not provide a review that last time I visited. Shame on me. Today came back for the happy hour specials that were soo good on a previous visit. This visit fell short. The buffalo chicken was not even close to being as good as the 1st visit. The bar burgers were not even a burger, several were the Shape of Florida a did not fill the bun. I will try again to see if things get better. I did find it odd that the manager seemed to be doing employee reviews in a bar booth as we could hear everything. Our waiter was good, however he needs to avoid trying to shake all of his customers hands for sanitary reasons. *******I am here again after being contacted by a manager and asked to give them another try. I really don't understand how this place is in business. I really wanted a positive with this visit, however it was a total fail. The restaurant was half full at 415pm, most folks at the bar drinking and watching football. 1.The booth seats had crumbs on them, service was slow. 2. We ordered APPS that came after our main dish, 40 minutes after we ordered. 3. The waitress spilled tea on the floor which splashed on our legs. She never did clean it up until we asked. 4. No refills until we asked. 5. Fries were cold 6. Orders were incorrect The quickest service we received was the delivery of the bill. This will be my last review of this location.

The wait on our food wasn't too bad but whenever I got my hot dog it wasn't even warm. Waited 20 minutes to get a drink refill and another 10 whenever I asked for to go boxes. If you want hot food and fast service, go somewhere else.

Was between this spot and Twin Peaks and we decided here based on reviews on Yelp. Came in around 10:30 and while they had a lot of seating we had a wait that was quoted 20 minutes and it ended up taking longer, so we finally were able to find seating on our own at the bar. Ordered chicken nachos as an appetizer and the quality of the meat, chips and cheese was not that great. It was like the guacamole and sour cream were scooped from a can and did not taste like it should have and I wish we would have skipped the app all together. Trying to be an optimist for the main course... My friend got a cheese burger and fries and I got a friend chicken salad. Both were epic fails and we ended up trying to eat the not that great nachos... My friend said the burger was awful tasted like a frozen patty that was covered in bbq sauce and the fries were nasty, My salad the lettuce was old and it did not have a hard boiled egg and the chicken tasted like old reheated fried plastic and I sent it back. Our sever at the bar was friendly and apologetic with the salad issue but I kind of wish we would have never come here.

Wow! I was sitting here enjoying my chips and queso and fries. Which was so delicious by the way. Suddenly my friend noticed something reflecting off of the nacho plate. Look closely at the photo it was a screw. Just like in the show Kenan and kel. Kel says "I dropped the screw in the tuna". But In this case it wasn't us who put the screw in the nachos. The nachos were so good but if you order some make sure to check for bolts, screws, and nails. Enjoy but on the bright side you've been warned. Definitely recommend the queso! All of the food was free though.

The bar staff is great and the hostesses were very helpful BUT a the kitchen has continually made errors on orders and even when ordering through the app, they don't follow requests for eliminating ingredients to cater to individuals allergies. To add to this, during the tail end of COVID (and the big reason why I stopped going), they didn't wear masks or gloves while handling food, yet servers and all other employees did. Still iffy about ordering.

BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT CHARGES Charged me for the meal that was horrible and three additional fraudulent charges!!!!!! Food was horrible. Don't get the Nashville chicken sandwich, it was COVERED in grease and caked in a thick sauce. A lot of items were "on a waitlist" whatever that is supposed to mean. This is the second time I have had a bad experience at this one. This location is sketchy and clearly fraudulent!

I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was so good. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Plus the server was incredibly nice. I will definitely be back.

The service was horrible, the restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, no one was at the hostess stand to greet us. We were seated eventually and then 10 min went by before the bartender came to see if we had been helped (she was the only person in the restaurant that seemed to care, she took our drink order and between her and our actual server ( our server seemed bored and disinterested) we finally got our food despite the bad service (we liked the food). the district manager of this location has no idea what's happening here. One of the workers from the kitchen kept taking his smoke break right outside the dining room window (inches from us) it was very off putting and just weird. The inmates are running the asylum at this location. You have been warned. Ps. I never do this, it was so bad I felt overly compelled to write this review.

Great way to catch covid. I literally watched half of the kitchen staff with no masks and the bartender pour drinks with her mask down. We cancelled everything and walked out.

1 Waiter 1 Waitress...Meal was COLD after waiting 30 minutes. This was my second chance because first was a slow experience as well with cold food that time as well. It cost too much for COLD good. We will NEVER go back.

Worse service ever , everybody standing around including the managers. Only about 20 people in the whole restaurant and our server took forever to come and ask us for our drink order. Best thing about the experience was the drink.

No matter what, CAH just can't get it right. In an effort to give them several chances, I've visited twice since the last experience. Each time our entrees come out either cold or lukewarm. On the last visit, they at least got the spinach dip hot and the drink cold. I really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this many bad experiences can't be wrong.

We had a reservation for 12; ended up being 11. We met here since it was sort of mid-point to all of us. Phillip our waiter was efficient and friendly. The majority of our party had burgers which they enjoyed along with cheese fries. Two of us had salmon which was very good. We shall return.

This was a great experience. Wonderful food. Great staff convenient location. Plenty of covid precautions. Many fantastic choices. Drinks made perfectly

30 min wait. Hostesses were rude. Sat at table. 40 min wait. Told the entree we ordered was not available. No apology. Other food wasn't even brought to the table. From out of town but will likely be coming back to the area. Will NEVER come back to Carolina Ale House.
