"What should have been a celebratory 25th Piedmont Farm Tour turned into a scramble for the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association to support small farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic: Mary Beth Miller had already partnered with Fullsteam on the fundraising beer, she transformed the interactive farm-tour Google Map into a consumer resource for delivery and on‑farm pickup, CFSA ramped up small-farm advocacy (lobbying state Departments of Agriculture and hosting a webinar for farmers' market managers), and their online map has had well over 26,000 visits as they try to fill gaps between farmers and consumers in rural counties." - Matt Lardie
