Absolutely delicious! When is a bran muffin ever good, let alone amazing? Moist and just enough sweetness. The cheese danish is crazy good and yogurt with granola is a must. Definitely recommend!

We’re Dining with The Davids. When we go to a restaurant, we bring a group of friends known as our “Taste Buds.” We typically order a 12-course meal, which allows us to really get to know the menu. At the end of the evening, everyone votes for their favorite dishes, which we turn into video content for Instagram, TikTok, and beyond. For this visit, we brought 7 of our Taste Buds to Carousel Bakery in Palm Springs—and every single person left impressed. This spot is a total hidden gem near the airport, perfect for breakfast, lunch, or grabbing something on your way in or out of town. Owners Liz and Alberto clearly pour their heart into every homemade dish. We sampled a variety of items including the Cochinita Burrito, Huevos Rancheros, Ultimate Breakfast Croissant, Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Ciabatta Tri-Tip, and Focaccia Brisket. Not a single miss among them. But the true star? The Pistachio Cheesecake—rich, creamy, and hands down the best pastry of the day. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, plus catering services for larger events. Whether you’re local or just visiting, Carousel Bakery is absolutely worth a stop.

This was my wife's and my first time stopping here. What a wonderful place to have brunch. The coffee and food were delicious fresh and very tasty. We can't wait to bring our families to experience a really good thing. And the paistery section looked also so amazing, we recommend this spot you won't be disappointed.

I had such a great experience here! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They had run out of one of the items I ordered, but instead of just apologizing, they went above and beyond, they offered me a free pastry and still made my drink exactly how I wanted it. Their customer service was honestly amazing and made my day. I really appreciate how helpful and thoughtful they were. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I feel like Carousel Bakery is often overlooked as a restaurant, and only thought of as a bakery. Lovely little sit down restaurant serving some very good standard breakfast dishes and sandwiches. Today I had the french toast that was thick cut slices, with strawberries and syrup, eggs on the side. (sorry i forgot to get pics before consuming). They've definitely got it goin on with the baked goods; large displays of all types desserts, muffins, croissants and pastries. Coffee bar and everything with it. Nice covered patio with table service outside. Not overrun with tourists, which makes it a nice place for the locals to get away from the downtown parking game for brunch during high season.

I’m really blown away how this place has such good reviews and it led me down. We came in for some desserts. The woman who helped us out was friendly. HOWEVER, the desserts were not great at all!! We ordered a cannoli & the carrot cheesecake. Everything was super hard and tasted old. $20 down the drain. I live in Riverside and we haven’t came out here in about 2 years. The desserts used to be good. Won’t be coming back, really disappointed. (My toddler picked off the frosting)

First time going here and man…what an amazing place…the service is amazing..food awesome..and man I like cold brew coffee, their cold brew coffee is awesome..taste really good. Definitely recommend this place..we got the choc croissant, ham and cheese croissant, jalapeño and cheddar scones, and a raspberry and cheese finger.

Really gross. I had the breakfast bowl. Everything tasted frozen and nasty. Bowl was soggy. Ended up adding a ton of salt and ketchup just to cover up the taste. Coffee was diner quality at best at premium price. Don’t see how it’s highly rated.

Sometimes you need to call out places. If you're going to charge as much as you do. Maybe you Should provide a quality product for what you charge. Ham a cheese croissant. Ridiculous! Not cool.

Wanted something quick and was somewhat tight on time but wanted to try some place different. This has a Togo area and a sit down area where you can get waited on. I got, to go and sat in the area since had some time to finish what I ordered. They do have a decent amount of pastries to choose from which is good and a decent drink menu. Nothing really stood out to me but what I ordered was good. Nothing crazy good, just good. The people working there though seemed a little all over the place and almost seemed confused how to run it or at least deal with the customers who kept coming in. Especially when they didn't know where to go to be seated. Either way it's decent inside. It's comfortable and the feel of it and where it's located, suits the feel for it. Price side you are looking about $5-10 per item per person. The sit down menu which I glanced at, seemed a little pricier than other cafes but who knows the food might be worth it. My first experience was average. I might or might not give it another try. But maybe your experience will be better than mine.

Loved this little gem We ordered lox and bagel and toasted onion bagel with cream cheese with two drinks ( green juice and Honey oat milk latte. The lox bagel was delicious so so good and tasted fresh. The potato salad was also tasty. Honey oat milk latte: it was good overall but I like more sweet drinks and this was not very sweet but more a preference thing. Green Juice: right amount of sweetness, can taste the ginger and kale! It was great Onion bagel: was perfect! Tasted fresh The service was also great! Quick and efficient. The place is also cute! Nice spot.

What an amazing hidden gem! I regularly drop my dog off to get his haircut in this plaza and am always looking for things to do. Some of the other restaurants don't open until later in the day, but this one was open nice and early. I was expecting a small bakery or coffee shop, but was pleasantly surprised to find full seating when I arrived! The place was super busy too -- lots of people coming in and out to try the delicious grub. I had the lox and eggs benny on a jalapeño scone and it was incredible. My only suggestion was that the scone would've been amazing if it was toasted, but I'm sure they can do that for you upon request! Also a heads up that their hollandaise sauce is more on the lemony/citrusy side -- something to be mindful of if you're not into that. I thought it was great contrasting flavors to the spice of the scone! Will be back again!

Food is amazing. Lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote was fantastic! Service leaves a lot to be desired in cafe area. Needs better quality service for prices they're asking.

Couldn't decide if I wanted a coffee or something more refreshing after a little hike. I went with their green juice. I didn't read the menu correctly and saw it was blended, more like a smoothie. It was good, but I think I was expecting more of a green juice, less smoothie like. The pastries looked amazing. And they had cute seating section. I would come back, maybe for brunch or coffee and a pastry. The customer service was great too. Everyone was pretty friendly.

Sit and stay a while at the café or order to go baked goods and coffee/tea at the coffee bar. They have a wonderful chai and turmeric ginger chai. They have oat and almond milk for vegans. The space had a major upgrade fall of 2023. The sit down Area is elegant, but casual enough to feel relaxed. I am so impressed with their growth over the last few years. This is one of the best chai tea latte in the valley. They use Rishi brand and have two different flavors. Wonderful variety of baked goods and a full café sitdown menu. There is a coffee bar. although the staff was busy, they were kind.

They added a cafe. They are in a much bigger space in the same shopping center, just to the right of Spectrum on El Cielo. They expanded their selection of baked goods and have a full coffee menu, plus a dining room serving breakfast, sandwiches, and burgers. We got the Turkey Club and the Reuben. The sandwiches are big, and we took half home for lunch the next day. They really did a nice remodel on the old Nicolina's space, and the food and baked goods are excellent.

Who doesn't love warm freshly baked pastries?! Seriously the case was steamy. It was so hard to decide what to pick as everything looked so YUMMY. What we found out, everything is as YUMMY as it looks, so you won't go wrong with whatever you choose. If you have time enjoy the music and grab a drink. I know I will next time.

The ambiance, the service, the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff are wonderful! The bakery is amazing. Maybe one of the best in the valley! A nice menu, some items I have not seen anywhere else. The spinach and feta empanadas were yummy! My husband's breakfast was a nice portion and super fresh. We ordered a blt to go, not your run of the mill BLT, for sure. Definitely a meal for our daughter. A nice restaurant super close to whom. We will be back! Nice job Carousel Bakery!

This review is long overdue. I had to throw a last minute work event and Carousel Bakery was so accommodating. Their customer service is top notch! The food was incredible and everyone was so impressed at the event. I would recommend them to anyone who is wanting incredible food to cater or eat. Thank you for all your help!

We have been going to Carousal Bakery for years and this was the worst experience ever. The fries were cooked in bad oil and when we sent them back the waiter was defensive and rude. The turkey sandwich was served on wilted lettuce on a dirty wooden board. Won't go back.

Ordered a birthday cake and requested pistachio buttercream. I don't think they have it on their menu, but they made it for our special celebration. Cake was super moist and my parents loved how nicely decorated the cake was. Thank you for such a great cake! We have also had sandwiches here and the bread is so soft!!! All of the ingredients are super fresh. Doesn't disappoint! Can't wait to dine in their expanded storefront.

We have used Carousel as a bakery before and didn't really realize how changed it is since they opened their new digs. They have an expanded menu. A number of breakfast and lunch choices: salads, egg dishes, wraps and sandwiches (my cheeseburger was delicious) with personable and efficient service all in a nice, simple and very comfortable atmosphere.

Very fresh sandwiches as well the baked goods. Found them when I sampled a biscotti @ Porsche So now addicted. The wedding cookies are almost superior to my mothers old family cookies in the village in Greece. The thin version of the biscotti s are the bomb. Prices are fair. Also that they are moving to bigger place ! The line usually is not long.

Total lack of awareness & service. Walked inside to order 2 coffees and 2 pastries at the counter, paid & tipped 20% (a mistake). The counter girl gave us the pastries & said she'd bring out coffees - no other customers in area ordering at this time. We sat outside and talked, after 5+ minutes realized we didn't have coffees & husband went inside to check - server said she'll make them, another 5+ minutes no coffee - pastries now half eaten. Husband goes inside again - one coffee sitting on counter - server now at pastry counter filling order for other customer. She tells my husband 'that's your coffee' - husband reminds her we paid for 2 coffees. Husband brings first coffee outside & goes back in to wait for second coffee. Finally after another 5+ minutes husband gets 2nd coffee - server never apologized, just clueless that you need to finish an order before waiting on someone else. What a disappointing place. So glad we tipped for this service!

Biscotti is usually flavored almond. Double baked for that hard dunkable cookie. I ordered biscotti, but I got a walnut cookie dipped on one edge in chocolate. This is not biscotti. It doesn't taste double baked. Not hard! They made bad chocolate cake too, it was stale. I like to go back and try, but no it hasn't changed. It's a place to get a coffee and a decent danish. The woman at the counter is still not nice! It's just 11 am the shop not busy. If the woman at the counter isn't personable, then the ambience can't be good! It's not!

Nice. Pastries were outstanding. It feels like we brought business in because it got busy quick. Thankfully more folks came from the back to help out. Coffee shop space is small but it is a good "non Starbucks" alternative. I would come back.

This bakery/restaurant is phenomenal. They now have a new restaurant that serves fantastic salads, sandwiches, and breakfast all day. It's a hidden gem that people should try for sure.

The cannolis are delicious, the almond croissants are amazing and their sandwiches are terrific. The breakfast steak is surprisingly good. It's cooked on the grill. They could work on their eggs.

If you like stale bagels that is inedible this is the place to go. I got 3 bagel sandwiches and it all went in the trash. Terrible and disappointing. Waste of money.

Very bad experience with this bakery. Ordered sons first birthday cake and was told the cake was given to someone else when we arrived to pick it up. Little effort was made to get it back to us. Was told there was no verification when it was given out to someone else. The staff was acting as if "there's nothing I can do". It would have been nice to be offered a different cake, refund or really just anything. A nice gentleman from the back did come out trying to help and offered to drive the cake if they found it. But the front of the house operation did a very poor job. When pushing for a refund, they continued to charge our card and we had to dispute the charge. Insane. Would not recommend.

Carousal bakery was right around the corner from the place that we were staying. Had really good sandwiches and pastries.

Unbelievable pastry! The owners are wonderful. The food is great. You need to try this place ... let's keep it open.

First time visiting this amazing bakery, coffee and cafe. They have an amazing variety of delicious fresh baked pastries, pies and cakes. They also have a sit down restaurant area with a wide variety of homemade sandwiches and meals. Highly recommend this place if you are truly searching for a delicious bite.

I've only had take-out pastries and sweets from Carousel, and they've all been amazing. Flaky, fresh, sweet but not too sweet. Amazing! My only complaint is that there are never enough people working to quickly get my order ready. I often have to wait 15 minutes or so just for take-out.

My husband and I finally went in to Carousel bakery and cafe on a Monday. I decided on the Reuben, my husband got the Bodega style breakfast burrito. Both were delicious. The place was inviting and clean, the service was friendly and helpful. Stopped by the bakery area on the way out for a croissant. We will definitely go back again soon to try something new.

So unhappy we only found this on our last day on the way to the airport. Fantastic service by Elizabeth and Robert. The bakery items were the best we could find on the area. The avocado toast and breakfast burrito were delicious. Great family owned business.

They use to be a nice SMALL bakery, then they moved 5 doors away to a larger space in 2023 and DOUBLED their prices.The $$$ went to their head!! THEY FORGET WHO PUT THEM THERE, built their business to what it is now, they basically don't care like when they were struggling. My family, friends & business associates will not be returning. Get real Elizabeth!

Found this cute little bakery in Palm Springs. They have a variety of pastries to choose from. We tried them all and they were all very good. Definitely go and try this place out!

We were on the go and decided to stop for a pastry and coffee. We sat outside in the small patio area and oh my, they were so delicious. I even took a few extra pastries to go. The bakery is small, but everything is well organized, clean, and you will find everything you need and want. We also found out they make some delicious pies for the holidays. We can't wait to come back for those.

Just checked this place out for the first time and I will absolutely come back. Well priced menu. Super friendly staff and the food is fantastic. The bakery department is outstanding.

Long time bakery customer, first time restaurant experience. Excellent food and service in comfortable booths with a nice ambiance. The tuna melt was mouth watering and the burger was delicious. Had the pistachio cheesecake for dessert. Keep up the good work!!

I had an errand to run at the small business square and wandered into this bakery wedged between a dental office and shoe repair shop. The sweet baked goods caught my eyes. First, the sticky honey buns looked decadent and delicious. Then, right below the honey buns, the luscious looking upside down pineapple cake (personal size) was staring at me. I chose the pineapple upside down cake. The treat was rich, delicious, buttery, moist, tart, and also sweet in the right places. The small cake is enough for two servings. Truly the best of its kind. The bakery offers salads, coffee, smoothies, wraps, and sandwiches. Everything in the quaint bakery looks great. The people managing the place are friendly and helpful. There are round tables set up outdoors. Pandemic rules are enforced, and the bakery looks orderly and clean. I will be returning for the honey buns in the near future.

Found this place on Yelp. Tried to coordinate a birthday party on the other side of the country. Staff was a bit challenging to communicate with. Sometimes would call multiple times without any response. A little nerve-wracking given that we were relying on this place to make sure a cake was done well for our party. It looks pretty decent and you cannot beat it for the price however some of the decor was not as bougie as we had hoped and expected. The flavor was there though and that's what really mattered.

Pretty small place and easy to walk by. Came here for their almond croissant. It was alright, missing the almond paste for me. The croissant itself was a bit dry and not buttery. The did have lots of shaved almonds and powered sugar on it. Pretty decent size. The other desserts looked pretty good. I may try the other desserts out, but for the almond croissant I probably would not get it again. I'd give it a 3.5 overall. They can make the croissant more buttery, have almond paste inside, and more airy and have good "bounce" to each bite.

Terrible service! Actually no service! Either they refused to service us because we are gay, or because we are white or both. We waited for seating and we waited for menus which we never received so we walked out.

Finally!!! A decent bakery with espresso drinks. Never has Oalm Sorings had de ent bake products and espresso coffe together. Its been either decent coffee and crap baked good a la koffi or decent baked goods and crap coffee a la Shermans- never have the two fused until now fir me anyway. And ut shows. Hiw 'n any bakeries or coffee houses have a solidv5 stars. Bravo Carosel! My cousins who dont even kive here fiund it. Way to rock Chris and Ellen!

This was a new experience for us. They exceeded my expectations. Nice atmosphere. Great food. Large portions. Bakery to die for. Service was a 10. We will be back.

What a wonderful bakery! I had this spot on my list of places to try. ....and I am so glad I got there. I will certainly return. It was a bit difficult for us to find, even tho we had the address and knew the strip mall it is located in...( Spectrum, Felipe's, Taco Asado)..close to the airport... It's a small, clean, cozy store. There are some outside tables. There are 4 stools at a counter which we sat it . It really is a takeout spot. The woman working was delightful. The pastries are all so beautifully displayed and appealing!....so difficult to make choices! There were three of us so we decided to share a ham/ cheese croissant; a spinach and cheese croissant and a cinnamon chocolate stick. Oh yummmm Soooo delicious. The croissants melt in your mouth. The prices and proportions were extremely reasonable. They offer breakfast egg sandwiches in their croissants and homemade boiled bagels. I can't wait to go back and try those. They also make very reasonably priced sandwiches. All three of us will be back for sure. You should go to! You won't be disappointed!

Amazing variety of freshly baked breakfast pastries and croissants! I brought a nice assortment to a casual morning visit with old and new friends. They were a hit and enjoyed by all! Very friendly and helpful staff! I heard customers raving about the pies too, cannot wait to try!
